K. AKIYAMA: You did well.

A. FIROZA: Sorry, are you talking to me?

K. AKIYAMA: I'm not repeating myself.

A. FIROZA: Did Katsuo Akiyama just compliment me?

K. AKIYAMA: Remind me to never do that again.

A. FIROZA: You just surprised me!

K. AKIYAMA: Was it really that hard to believe?

A. FIROZA: You've spent a lot of the last few days glaring at me from across the room, so…

K. AKIYAMA: I wasn't glaring.

A. FIROZA: You were sometimes. Like when I was dancing.

K. AKIYAMA: You were embarrassing yourself.

A. FIROZA: It's not embarrassing unless you decide it is.

K. AKIYAMA: And I decided it was.

A. FIROZA: Well, I had fun. Maybe you could teach me some moves so I don't embarrass you next time.

K. AKIYAMA: We don't have time for that.

A. FIROZA: Okay, fine. But thank you. You also did pretty good.

K. AKIYAMA: Thank you.

A. FIROZA: Also, I was right that the stairwell would be faster than the elevators.

K. AKIYAMA: I thought they might be difficult in your dress.

A. FIROZA: Oh.

K. AKIYAMA: Why are you looking at me like that? Stop it.

A. FIROZA: Nothing! It's nothing!

K. AKIYAMA: It's clearly something. You're not a good liar.

A. FIROZA: I was just thinking that, like… you're not all that bad, Katsuo. And that's okay.

K. AKIYAMA: It's not your place to tell me who I am. I know you like to play nice, but you don't know me. You don't get to try to rattle me right before the Hunger Games.

A. FIROZA: That's not what I'm doing.

K. AKIYAMA: Then what are you doing?

A. FIROZA: All I did was thank you for your kindness. Forget it. Would you be happier if I told you that you're a dick?

[He laughs.]

K. AKIYAMA: You're so much more tolerable when you drop the nice act.

A. FIROZA: It's not an act, Katsuo.

K. AKIYAMA: Of course you'd say that. Maybe you really believe it, too.

A. FIROZA: Listen, you don't know me, either. Just because you're not used to someone being nice to you doesn't mean that no one ever is.

K. AKIYAMA: I take it back. You're a way better liar than I thought.

A. FIROZA: I don't want to fight anymore. We're both just stressed.

K. AKIYAMA: Convenient.

A. FIROZA: We'll talk again in the morning. Sleep off the compliment.

K. AKIYAMA: Uh-huh.

A. FIROZA: I'm sorry for trying to see the best in you. I won't do it again. Goodnight.

[High-heeled shoes click against the floor. A door opens and shuts.]

K. AKIYAMA: Fucking ridiculous.

[End transcription.]
