Flashback/Memories of the past
Raynare didn't know where she was when she woke up. When her eyes opened, she was confused at first. She didn't know what happened or where she was. She was currently lying on a comfortable bed. The pillow and duvet were also very comfortable. She could hardly remember the last time she had lain in such a comfortable bed.
She straightened into a sitting position and looked around. The room looked pretty normal. She was currently sitting on a single bed and next to the bed was a small chest of drawers. On one side of the room was a closet for clothes and on the other side and a desk with a chair in front and a lamp on it. On the floor was a gray carpet. She got up and looked at herself. She could see that she had no more sores.
Her eyes widened as she remembered everything. She gritted her teeth and cursed at the fact that she had lost everything. She had lost the Sacred Gear, the nun and 3 good friends to those damn devils! Then this bastard appeared who wanted to kill her! She couldn't believe it. Yet everything went so well. She had her Sacred Gear and then wanted to go back to the Grigori with her friends to show her merits. But of course, the damn red dragon emperor had to intervene and take the Sacred Gear away from her.
Cursed be all who prevented her from her happiness! But then the question arose... why was she still alive? She should have been dead. After all, this bastard Astaroth was about to unleash a magical attack and thus wipe her out. But somehow, she was still alive. Her wounds were completely healed, and she felt better than ever.
Someone seemed to have saved her and healed her wounds. She got up and looked out the window. She was currently wearing an oversized black shirt that wasn't hers. She was still wearing underwear, but otherwise she wore nothing. She knew she wasn't raped. A woman would notice that right away, whether as a human or as a supernatural being. Someone had taken care of her body and then put new clothes on her. How the person knew what size their bra was, wasn't that important at first.
The house where she was was a two-story terraced house with a white painted exterior, a balcony on the second floor and a red roof. Around the house was a little garden with many flowers and a few cherry trees. The house was also surrounded by a little wall that cut off the sight from the street. To get to the door, someone would need to pass through the wooden door first, which was part of the wall that surrounded the entire garden/house.
She was still in Kuoh, but more secluded on a small hill. The house was pretty much alone and there was only forest behind the house. She turned to the door and walked across the room. When she opened the door, she carefully looked out of the room and couldn't see anyone. She left the room and walked down the hall to the stairs. She just wanted to get out of here and back to Grigori HQ.
She would have to explain everything to Lord Azazel so she wouldn't be punished. As she walked down the stairs, she was briefly bathed in a bright light, and then she was back in her normal clothes. She was almost at the front door when suddenly the doorknob fell. She immediately took a few steps back and summoned a pink spear of light energy into her right hand.
The door opened and her eyes widened when she saw who was there. Her entire body began to tremble as she remembered encountering that monster. This monster that prevented her from finally killing Issei Hyōdō. Back in the park, he suddenly appeared and rescued Issei, preventing her from killing him completely. This really allowed Sona Sitri to arrive in time to turn Issei into a devil. If this monster hadn't appeared, Issei wouldn't have become a devil anymore and she would never had the problems she was having now. Hey dddddddd
The icy blue eyes, which mirrored death itself, looked straight into Raynare's purple eyes. Out of nowhere, the point of a sword protruded from her chest. Raynare looked down in disbelief and couldn't see anything.
Naruto closed the door behind him and took a few steps towards Raynare. Raynare gave Naruto an anxious look and immediately took several steps away. She could feel it. Death by decapitation, death by heart ripping out of her chest, death by breaking the neck, and countless other methods of dying. She was going through each and every situation as her body moved away from this monster in human form.
Nothing could be seen around him and yet Raynare saw massive red eyes behind Naruto, which looked directly at her. Eyes the size of houses stared straight into her soul, and as they did, Naruto's form was engulfed in shadow. Raynare got tears in her eyes as her body slowly began to give up at the indescribable murderous lust that emanated from Naruto.
Naruto stopped and out of nowhere everything that had just happened disappeared. Raynare gasped heavily as she suddenly had to take a breath. She hadn't taken a breath the entire time because she couldn't. Some invisible force had cut off her air supply and she could no longer breathe properly. She got down on both knees, completely shaking uncontrollably. She raised both hands with all her strength and looked at them. Her hands were shaking just like the rest of her body.
"You're awake, good." Naruto said. Raynare met Naruto's blue eyes, which now looked normal. "We have some things to talk about." She couldn't get a word out of her mouth as she looked at Naruto.
"You will now tell me what I want to know." Naruto said.
Naruto placed a plate of food on the table in front of Raynare and then sat down at the table as well. He just started eating and enjoying the food. Raynare looked at her food and looked at Naruto. She couldn't believe what Naruto had offered her.
After she calmed down and told Naruto everything she knew about Kokabiel, Naruto seemed to have changed. He apologized for his little act of scaring her so much. He just had to make sure that she wouldn't just attack him and damage the house. He didn't feel like fixing the house and if Raynare had thrown her pink spear of light there would have been an explosion and part of the house would have been destroyed.
"Are you serious?" Raynare asked. Now in control of her senses again, she could think clearly and grasp the situation.
Naruto looked at Raynare and just smiled. There it was again. That warm feeling, she felt when Naruto smiled at her. She didn't know how to describe it. It was like Naruto had 2 sides. The side of a killer, which she has now been able to experience twice. Both times she thought she was finished and dying.
But after she had really said everything to him, he suddenly smiled and gave her his hand. She didn't want to contradict him for fear that he would go back to the way he was before. She took his hand, and he carefully pulled her up and helped her to stand. She gave Naruto a confused look afterwards and since then he's just been smiling and thanking her.
"I told you; you can go back now. You can stay here too, but then you'd have to keep a low profile. The Gremory clan and the Sitri clan are still looking for you. It would be better if you left town, but I told you, if you stayed here, I would guarantee your safety." Naruto said and then continued to eat without worrying.
Raynare stared at Naruto for a few more seconds and then slowly began to eat. The food was delicious, there was no other way to describe it. It wasn't anything special, but she still hadn't eaten something that tasty in a very long time.
She wondered what to do now. She realized afterwards that she couldn't go back that easily. She had acted imprudently and by doing so she had provoked some things. They could have started another war. She wanted to finally get the recognition of her comrades, that's why she wanted the Twilight Healing. Orders to guard Issei Hyōdō and kill him, if necessary, came from Azazel, but the action with Asia Argento was entirely Raynare's sole responsibility.
She was never noticed within the group. She was an outsider and she had now lost her only three friends. She just wanted to be respected and loved within the Grigori faction! Was that too much to ask, that she finally wanted to be desired?
With the Twilight Healing she would have been desired in any case. She could have healed others and that would finally give her what she always wanted. She would no longer be an outsider and would finally have been loved and desired.
But now she had lost everything and even if she did return, nothing would be waiting there for her. She would be punished by Azazel and the other members of the Grigori faction would continue to ignore and ostracize her as before.
She looked at Naruto again, thinking of his offer. If she really stayed here, at least she would be safe. She could stay here until things calmed down and Raynare made up her mind.
She gathered her courage and spoke to Naruto. "Lord Uzumaki, I would accept your offer and stay here for now." Raynare said, bowing her head. Even if he seemed so carefree at the moment and he exuded a certain warmth... she could never forget the feeling of death he exuded twice already. She would do herself the favor of not provoking or disappointing him. She never wanted that feeling again. It was unbearable to feel how to die in different ways within a few seconds.
Naruto lifted his head and looked at Raynare. "Stop with Lord Uzumaki, my name is Naruto. You're welcome to stay here, but then you'd have to do something for me too." Naruto said.
Raynare lifted her head and met Naruto's eyes. "It's nothing important. As long as you are here, I would ask you to keep the house clean." Naruto said. Of course, he could have his Shadow Clone do that as usual, but so he gave her a task and that calmed Raynare. He could see straight away how her tense body relaxed a bit.
"Naturally! I'll keep the house clean and take care of everything." Raynare said. Naruto smiled and continued eating. 'It's better that way. Otherwise, she would always worry about why I would help her.' thought Naruto.
As he had predicted, Raynare was relieved. The psychological processes in her brain told her that she had such a benefit and that she would not be marginalized at some point like in the Grigori group. She had fought to get the job of taking care of Issei Hyōdō. Before that, she was simply ignored and never noticed. But here she had a job, and she would make sure to live up to Naruto Uzumaki's expectations.
She still didn't know what he was. He was apparently human, but that could never be. He was far too strong for a simple human. Even if she and her 3 friends worked together, they wouldn't have stood a chance against Naruto. She just couldn't sense what he was. His aura always seemed suppressed. He also didn't own a Sacred Gear, as far as she knew.
She continued to eat her food, smiling slightly without realizing it. Not just because of the warmth, but because of the feeling of finally being useful. She was not excluded here, and nobody ignored her here. The person next to her took notice of her and even gave her a task.
When both were done, both got up. "Alright, now that you're staying here for a while, I'll show you around the house." Naruto said with a smile. The two were currently standing in the kitchen, which had the usual equipment with a couple of cupboards, an oven, a hob, a washing machine, a sink, a fridge, a freezer and in the middle of the kitchen was a brown table where 4 people could sit. The cabinets were made of wood and the floor was also made entirely of wood. The ceiling was white and so were the walls.
The two left the kitchen and were now standing in the hallway. The kitchen was the first door on the right when entering the house. Opposite was the door to the large living room. Naruto and Raynare went in there and he showed her around. There was also the door to the garden.
Otherwise, there was a door to the bathroom and a door to the basement on the ground floor. The bathroom was like any other in Japan and the two initially ignored the basement. Naruto then went upstairs with Raynare and there he showed her the 4 rooms. His room was right next to one of the two guest rooms where Raynare had woken up inside. His room was set up exactly like Raynare's room. At his desk there was only a laptop on the table and some books. Of course, his room was the room that had a balcony. One room was also a guest room like Raynare's room. The fourth room was surprisingly a room without much furniture inside. Here was only a desk against the wall and 2 cabinets with several scrolls and books were on the two sides. There was a chair in front of the desk and otherwise there was nothing inside this room.
Naruto and Raynare were now back downstairs in the living room. "I have to do something. You must be exhausted by your experience. Get some rest and when I get back, we'll talk things through." Naruto said.
"Okay." Raynare said. She watched Naruto as he left the house. As he said, her mind was drained, and she felt so tired all of a sudden. She walked through the house and went into the room where she woke up.
A few minutes later Naruto was walking the streets of Kuoh thinking what to do next. He helped Raynare because she reminded him of an old friend. She was just like his old friend and he wanted to help her. Of course, she had tried to kill Issei, but she was just following orders like himself in his past. Raynare may not know it, but she was unconscious for 4 full days. Naruto had used yesterday to gather information about her and in the process, he learned all he needed to know. He had paid a visit to the Grigori faction and spied a bit. Of course, nobody had noticed him. He had also found something interesting there.
He hadn't known that Vali Lucifer was an ally of Azazel. According to his gathered information, Vali Lucifer was raised and trained by Azazel. Vali Lucifer had the Sacred Gear Divine Dividing and thus he was Issei Hyōdō's rival. He felt sorry for Issei because Issei would never stand a chance against a devil like Vali. He would have to be much stronger for that.
Naruto looked up at the sky and watched the clouds as they rolled over the city. He was curious to see how Rias would continue to react. There was a lot going on right now with the action of Raynare and her dead friends. She had triggered quite a bit and right now Rias and Sona are trying to keep the whole episode as low for devils as possible.
He stopped walking past the park. He looked towards the park for a few seconds and then continued walking. He walked into the park and followed the aura he was currently feeling. It was a familiar aura, but he couldn't remember exactly where he had sensed that aura from.
He stopped when all the people left, and a barrier rose around the part of the park where he was. He looked around and could now feel the aura of a devil. He could hear him too. He seemed to be talking to a girl.
Naruto disappeared into the shadows and moved to where the devil and another person were talking. As he hid in the shadow of a tree, he looked at the two people.
One person was the girl he met a few days ago. She was the tsundere who first complained and then decided to apologize. She was a beautiful young woman of average height with a beautiful face, white skin, and ruby eyes. She had long crimson hair tied into twin tails using yellow ribbons. She had a bewitching body; her boobs were massive and a voluptuous figure. She was currently wearing a pink tracksuit. You could tell this girl was working out.
"Stella Vermillion, what is your answer?" asked the male devil across from her. The devil had green hair that appeared to be a little slick in the back with strands of his hair showing off his forehead. He wore a white mask and because of that, no one could see his face. He wore a formal black suit with a white accent, a white dress shirt with a black bowtie and boots.
"I already told you that I don't want to become a devil and certainly don't want to be part of your war!" Stella said angrily.
"As you wish. I will communicate your decision to my master." said the devil. He bowed once and then a purple portal appeared behind him. "However..." Next to the devil, another devil appeared from a purple portal. "I hope you understand that we can't let you live." said the devil. He turned and disappeared into his portal.
Stella looked at the devil who had just come out of the portal. The devil looked like a golem. He had a massive body, seemingly made of some kind of rock. He had red eyes and no hair. He looked like a typical physical fighter who relied on brute force.
"My name is Valga, remember it before you get crushed by me." Valga said with a grin. Stella narrowed her eyes and held her hand out in front of her. A pillar of flame appeared in front of her, and from that pillar of flame she drew a golden broadsword with red markings on the hilt. She held it in both hands and stood by.
"Oho, so that's your Sacred Gear? I've heard a lot about your Sacred Gear. It's supposed to be able to control flames." Valga said contentedly. He was glad he might have a little fight before crushing the little human.
Stella hated that look. That condescending look from men just because she was a woman. She hated it and vowed to get stronger and take down any man who mocked her. She would show that devil. Her body was generating heat and scattered sparks could be seen around her.
"Very nice, I want to see that." Valga said. He got into a fighting stance and stood ready. He formed his two stone-like hands into fists and grinned provocatively. Stella looked at his body and tried to identify a weakness. But so far, his entire body seemed to be armored the same way.
Stella was actually only here in Kuoh for a few days before heading back to Tokyo. She had just visited a good friend of hers here. Of course, during her visit, she had to meet a devil who wanted to invite her into a certain faction through her powerful Sacred Gear. He offered her the chance to become a devil and gave countless reasons for the advantages it would bring to her. But she would never become a devil. She had vowed to become stronger as a human. Just like her savior who saved her from a yōkai back in Kyoto. She didn't know what he looked like because he was wearing a cape and a weird mask. But one thing she would always remember. The way he swung his sword and how elegant he looked while doing it was unforgettable. He executed sword blows she couldn't even see. He killed any yōkai who tried to kill her and then helped her to her family before just disappearing. As if he had never existed.
Stella and Valga rushed off. Stella's sword was engulfed in red flames before raising her sword and delivering a downward vertical slash. Valga simply blocked the sword slash with his arm. Her sword slammed into the devil's arm and although the red flames engulfed her sword, she failed to inflict a single wound on his arm. She had to dodge to the side because Valga used his other arm and attacked her.
When attacking, Valga even unleashed a projectile from pressured air, which flew through the air and uprooted a tree. Stella's eyes widened at the sight. She stood back a little and held her sword in front of her. Her sword was engulfed in red flames before pointing her sword in Valga's direction. "Dragon Fang!" A fire dragon shot out of her sword and flew straight at Valga. Valga just grinned and crossed his arms in front of him. The fire dragon hit Valga and set off a fire explosion.
The ground shook briefly with the explosion, and moments later a plume of black smoke formed. Stella looked at the black plume of smoke wide-eyed as Valga was revealed, completely unharmed.
'What is this devil made of?' Stella thought annoyed. 'This bum even survived my Dragon Fang unharmed.' She narrowed her eyes as Valga charged at her. He thrust his hand forward and Stella swung her sword in response. Sword and fist clashed and slightly negated each other. Stella had trouble countering all of Valga's punches with her sword. She couldn't figure out how this devil could deflect her sword with his bare fist.
After a few more seconds, Stella jumped away. She gasped a little and got big eyes because suddenly 2 projectiles came out of pressured air towards them. She jumped to the side, dodging the two projectiles. Valga appeared in front of her and thrust his fist forward. Stella was just able to raise her sword and absorb the extreme force of the blow. Even so, she was thrown through the air. She crashed with her back into a tree, gasping a little. She fell to the ground and lifted her head. Her entire body felt numb from the force of the attack.
"That's it?" Valga asked while standing in front of her. He looked down at Stella, looking disappointed. "I actually thought we could have a good fight, but you're weaker than I thought. Your flames are probably dangerous for others, but you cannot harm me with your weak flames and your swordsmanship is okay, but you are not strong enough to hurt me. I really expected more from you, Stella Vermillion."
Stella's sword disappeared in a red flame as she laid on the ground. She gritted her teeth as Valga taunted her. She had trained for so long and still couldn't do anything against this devil. She hated that feeling of helplessness.
Out of nowhere, cuts appeared all over Valga's body, and blood spurted out of the wounds. Valga's eyes widened as he suddenly felt pain. He looked at his body in disbelief. There were deep cuts everywhere. Everywhere you looked he had cuts where blood was spurting out.
He got down on both knees and after that his body just fell to the ground. Stella's eyes widened when she saw the spectacle. She didn't understand what had just happened. Valga laid in front of her now, motionless.
Out of nowhere, someone stood between her and Valga. He holds a raven black katana that had a rectangular tsuba. She couldn't believe what had happened. Had that man just defeated Valga before her? She just didn't understand the situation.
The man had golden hair and wore a long white shirt, gray trousers and gray shoes. There was blood all over his blade, signaling it must have been him. She couldn't believe that man before her had defeated Valga just like that. He was so fast that no one saw anything. He also only appeared between Stella and the now motionless Valga when he was already on the ground.
'5th Sword: Kuruizakura (Off-Season Sakura).' thought Naruto. Not only had Naruto learned the superior sword style of the Uzumaki clan. He had even developed 7 sword techniques of his own. He called these 7 sword techniques the Seven Secret Swords. Each Secret Sword had a different function and he had just used the fifth Secret Sword.
(A/N I hope you all enjoyed the second Chapter of Irregular Shinobi. I wish you all the best and I hope we will see each other again in the next chapter. Stay strong and enjoy your life!)
5th Sword: Kuruizakura (Off-Season Sakura): A sword attack that has a delayed effect, in which Naruto uses slashes that possesses a certain amount of force and other mechanisms to create wounds that wouldn't open until later on. (Naruto had attacked Valga a time ago with this technique. The acutal effect just happend a bit latter. Naruto was so fast, that Valga and Stella didn't see him use this technique to wound Valga. He made his attack and was again hiding, until his technique took effect.)
