Yet another day has arrived in the United Tribe as usual everyone was doing their usual duties and normal alpha and Omega stuff,Kate was taking a stroll through the forest of the territory, taking in the sounds of the forests as well as the gentle cool breeze,after taking a couple of more steps Kate paused as she saw what looked to be Lilly up ahead and she appeared to be talking with someone, a male wolf that looked to be the same age as Lilly and was slightly muscular and lean and had sandy tan colored fur.
Kate watched with curiosity as Lilly laughed at what this mysterious wolf said then she appeared to give him a big hug then she walked towards her direction, Lilly's eyes widened slightly with surprise as she saw Kate in front of her, "Who's that?"Kate asked "That's Sanders,from my Omega class,I introduced him to you and Mom and Dad."Lilly said completely offended that she didn't remember him. Kate paused for a moment and thought back far as she could that was when she realized that Lilly did introduce him to her and her parents on the end of the first day of omega school when they picked her up, of course that was the only time she interacted with him, as the years went by she forgot about him.
But it seems Lilly didn't forget about him,now Kate feels a little bad about forgetting him besides now that things are different between alphas and Omegas any close friend of Humphrey and Lilly is a close friend of hers. Kate immediately power walked up to Sanders as he was walking away "Excuse me, Sanders."Kate called getting Sanders attention, he turned around and his green eyes locked with Kate's amber eyes.
"Hey I'm Kate, Lilly's sister,of course you already know me."Kate said as Sanders gave her a little smile "Of course I know all about Kate the Alpha who abolished the Alpha and Omega law and married an Omega."Sanders said making Kate nod proudly.
"You know I feel bad that this is our second interaction in years,we said hello to each other at Omega school and that was it, so Sanders how have you been since omega school?"
"I've been keeping to myself ever since graduation,although I have gotten out from time to time and socialized a little."Sanders said.
"That's great,it's important to socialize,matter of fact do you have anyone special in your life?"Kate asked with a smile "Not really I'm still single,how's the married life with an Omega?"Sanders asked with a smile"It's going great,things are just non stop fun, and the pups just add more."Kate said with a proud smile.
"Lilly is pretty much the same thing with Garth, nothing but nonstop exercise and what not, and she's a proud mother as well."Sanders said extremely happy for Lilly and her family. "If I may ask What were you and Lilly talking about?"Kate asked a bit curiously "Oh nothing just that we haven't seen or spoken to each other in a little while and we just bumped into each other and we just talked a little bit about our lives after Omega school, she told me about,Gareth,Vanilla and Chalk and that Garth was the best husband she could ever ask for."
Kate nodded with a smile knowing that Lilly and Garth were a happy married couple, then Sanders looked at Kate "It's weird that you were supposed to marry him what was with that again?"Sanders asked curiously "Oh long story short: the eastern tribe threatened us with war unless I married the leader's son to unite the tribes."Kate said making Sanders frown a little "Well that's stupid."
"It was for the good of the tribe, I would preferred that we didn't go to war with the east."Kate said with a little shrug "Still think it's stupid,I envy Kate I would not have the strength to marry someone I barely even know." Sanders said making Kate nod "Yeah I honestly didn't like it either but I didn't want us to go to war,and quite honestly I when I first met Garth and got to know him a little I was starting to like him, he was handsome we had a lot in common but the deal breaker was that he was a terrible howler."
Sanders raised an eyebrow at her as an inquiry crossed his mind "What if he wasn't a terrible howler that night?"Sanders asked Kate shrugged her shoulders "If Garth wasn't a terrible howler that night,then that would've been a magical night to be honest."
"Kate do you ever wondered what your life would've been like if you hadn't been kidnapped by the southern tribe and married Garth as originally intended?"Sanders asked curiously.
Kate nodded her head "Yeah once, some things wouldn't be as they are now, the tribes would still be united, no more fighting, but Alphas and Omegas couldn't marry each other, Runt Stinky and Claudette wouldn't exist neither would Gareth, Vanilla and Chalk and maybe Humphrey and Lilly would be single."Kate said with a little smile Sanders shuffled a little bit "Well I'm sure Humphrey and Lilly would've found someone to spend their lives with I mean if they didn't marry each other."
Kate let out a little skeptical laugh "Humphrey and Lilly, I honestly don't see that they are like brother and sister to each other to see them together is just odd."
"Maybe but...if Humphrey or any other omega captures her heart,I suppose...I could."Sanders said a little shyly Kate's smile immediately went away then transformed into confusion and curiousness.
"Huh?"she asked completely taken a back by what he said "Kate I'm about to tell you a little secret I haven't told anyone: when I first met Lilly...I thought she was pretty."Sanders said blushing a little Kate cocked her head "You did?"
"I've had a crush on her for a long time, everything about her i completely love, i loved her personality,her sense of humor, but most of all I loved her beautiful eyes."Sanders said Kate smiled warmly finding Sanders words extremely flattering Lilly's eyes were her best feature.
"Why didn't you make a move?"Kate asked "I never said anything to her because I didn't have the courage, mainly because of your mother."Sanders said "Yeah she has issues."Kate said with a roll of her eyes "yeah now because of my shyness Lilly fell in love with Garth and married him,everyday I regret not grabbing my courage sooner."Sanders said glumly Kate felt bad for Sanders it ain't easy seeing your crush marry someone else, but Kate had an idea on how to help him.
"If you like Sanders I could introduce you to some single Alpha females who love to have omegas in their lives."Kate said making Sanders look at her with hope then the both walked off through the forest.
