Even though the birth of his second child should be a happy time for Inuyasha he was having mixed emotions. While he was thrilled to be the father of newborn again the reaction of his first born was causing him concern. At first Moroha was excited to be a big sister,the 3 year old quarter demon began to ask her mother and Miroku and Sango's daughters all about it and how to be a good big sister.

His little girl was so excited when she felt her little brother moving in Kagome's belly. ''I felt him,mama,he moved! He moved!'' He was sure his children would never have the issue he and his brother had. The birth of Ryoga though changed his pup in bad way. Her excitement had been replaced by depression. Even though his little girl was trying hard to hide it he could see she was depressed so one night after she went to bed he decided to talk to his mate about it.

At the moment Kagome was feeding their 2 week old son at her breast. '' He has your appetite'' She chucked at her mate. Inuyasha smirked ''I can't blamed the kid for that, your breasts taste almost as good as that ninja food from your world.'' That was one reason among many he was working on finding a way to get the well to reopen again. He also knew how much Kagome wanted her family and friends to meet her children.

''Pervert'' Inuyasha just shrugged. It's not his fault his mate has such large and tasty breasts. It made him horny just thinking about them but he knew his mate wasn't ready to rut again so soon after giving birth beside watching her play with their son's ears was just too cute. Unlike Moroha Ryoga was born with doggy ears like his and he knew just how much his mate enjoyed playing with them. He knew how much Kagome wanted a baby with his ears.

She thought his ears were adorable and he knew how happy his mate was to have a baby with his cute ears to play with. Even though he would never say it out loud he enjoyed it when she messaged his ears but ONLY her. As far as his mate was concerned having two pairs of adorable puppy ears to play with was better than one''Better get used to her playing with them kid.'' HE thought

''Inuyasha'' his mate's beautiful voice broke his musing. "' Please put our son away while I get the bed ready.'' "Sure'' He was more than happy to hold his children. Just like when Moroha was a baby he was in awe of that fact that he was holding living being that was so dependent on him for survive. Well him and his mother. When he put Ryoga away he went to join his mate.

''Something's wrong with Moroha.'' Kagome gave her mate a concerned parent look as he joined her in their bed. ''I think she thinks we are replacing her and that is that last thing we want.'' He had already been through that with his half brother hating him because he though Inuyasha was their father's favorite. Even though they had made peace with eath other they still were not close.

''I agree I'll talk to her tomorrow. This happened to me when Sota was born.'' She remembered the fear of no longer being loved by her parents when her younger brother was born. Eventually she came to understand that wasn't true at all but it was a rough time adjusting for her.

''No I think this is something I need to talk to her about.'' Inuyasha knew their daughter never wanted to worry her mother and would always put up a happy face in front of her. She would be more honest with him.

''Are you sure Inuyasha. I'm an older sister myself you know.'' Inuyasha couldn't deny that but he knew he understood Moroha in a ways Kagome didn't. ''Let me take a crack at her first. If I can't get though to her then you talk to her. I'll tell you everything.'' Both parents knew if anyone get through to their daughter it was him.

Moroha idolized her father and would feel safe talking to him about what was bothering her.

""Alright Inuyasha" Kagome knew she could trust her mate and he would tell her what was bothering their beloved daughter.

The next day after breakfast Inuyasha took Moroha up to a tree branch that he used to think. ''All right Moroha I know something's bothering you now fess up what it is? I promise I won't get made so please tell me.'' He asked her in a gentle voice. For what seemed like ages to him his daughter silently though it over until she came to the conclusion that yes she could tell her father what was wrong.

''Papa"' He could tell she was going to ask him a question. "' Why don't I have ears?'' That was surprising to him. Of all the things his daughter could be upset about he didn't think this would be it. '' Say again''

''Why don't I have ears like Wyoga?'' It took Inuyasha a moment to understand what she was asking him. Even though she was a smart girl, Moroha was only three years old and didn't understand what a half demon was. All she knew was that her beloved father had cool doggy ears. The Half demon might be a bit thick headed but he understood his daughter.

What she was really asking him was ''Why is Ryoga a half demon when I'm not? The little girl idolized her father. She loved her papa so much and wanted to be just like him.

She was a daddy's girl who wore a bow on her head in the shape of his ears because she wanted ears like him. She wanted them so badly because he had them and cried because she didn't have his ears until his mate had a solution.

Kagome Tied her bow in the shape of his ears which made her happy because they looked like his ears which to Moroha made her like her papa. They also made her look so cute.

''Shit'' he cursed in a whisper there really was no good way to explain to a three year old that the reason her brother was a half demon was because Inuyasha on the full moon turns into a full demon. Although he was still in full control of himself.. He had a jagged stripe on his cheeks , longer fangs and claws the works. The only thing that was the same was his ears didn't change and eyes amber. They didn't turn red like when he lose control of himself.

It was like when he turned into a full human on the night of the new moon. This had been happening ever since he mated Kagome. Their son was a half demon because he was conceived on such a night. Myoga theorized that because he had reached adulthood he now had his demonic blood under control but he knew it was because his demon self wanted to be with Kagome too and didn't want to scare or hurt her.

''Papa?'' Double shit she was looking up to him with the big eyes that she had inherited from her mother. She was giving him the all innocent look of a 3 year old who expected her father to know everything. He had to think of something some way to explain to his little girl just how special she was to him. That's it!

''Moroha you're not like your brother because you are special.'' That confused her. How could she be special without ears? The bond father and daughter had meant he knew what she wanted to ask him. He knew what to do.

''You need to know Moroha. That there are people in the world who don't think me and your mama should be able to love each other.'' Now that really confused her. Her Mother and Father loved each other soo much. She could not think of them not be together. They belonged to each other that was clear to her.

''Really papa?'' Inuyasha sighed he wanted to keep his daughter as innocent as he could so he would tell her gently about the outside world. ''Yes there are humans and demons that don't think a Priestess like your mama and a half demon like me should love each other. HE smiled to her with a father's love. ''Moroha listen to me you are special because you are proof that a half demon and a priestess can love each other. Do you understand?''

Inuyasha really wanted Moroha to understand at that moment why she could never be replaced. Before he met Kagome he never believed a half demon such as himself could ever find love let alone start a family. When Kagome came back he of course married and mated her but he had no expectations of being able to start a family with her. Half demons were thought to be sterile and cursed by the kami.

He thought the only way he and Kagome could have children was if one was conceived on a human night. She still agreed to be his mate even if they could not have children.

Then of course Moroha was born. When that happened Inuyasha praised the Kami for the first time in his life. Well second time given he gave a small offering in secret after Kagome came back.

She was proof that a half demon could not only find love but have a family too. She was a miracle and proof that half demons were not cursed by the Kami for being abominations. While his other children might be conceived on a demon or human night with his mate. There was no doubt one of Moroha's parents was a half demon.

She was proof of her parents love. He wanted her to understand this.

"There's no one else like you in the world Moroha. There are a lot of half demons but only one quarter demon." He rubbed her head affectionately. ''So just remember that kiddo. You will always be special to me and your mama. You could and never will be replaced.''

Moroha giggled as he rubbed her head but he could tell she still need a but more. ''Moroha we love you so much that we wanted to have more children. That's why we have Ryoga. Believe me he loves you too and I know you will be a great big sister.''

Moroha looked at him with her mother's chocolate eyes full of excitement. He was getting too her.

''So don't worry you silly girl your mama and I will always love you and guess what you will always be the oldest.'' That made her laugh. Her father always knows how to do that. Beyond her sweet laugh which he knew she got from Kagome he could tell by scent that she was feeling better.

''Okay Papa can we go play?'' Inuyasha smirked ''Of course kiddo'' And he took her down to the forest to spend some quality father daughter time. She needed some time with him to feel all better. OF course Kagome will be made because of how dirty and muddy they will be when they get home but he could deal with her.

Later that evening after they had beened cleaned up and the kids went to bed Kagome had to ask her mate what he said to Moroha. Inuyasha just gave her a smile'' I just reminded her how special she is." SO it was that simple? IT almost made up for him letting Moroha once again get covered in dirt. She would punish him later when she wasn't in a good mood.

''Of course because she has a special papa.' She was really proud of her mate. He knew how to cheer their daughter up and by extension her. He was such a good father even if he got embarrassed by such praise.

''Keh'' Inuyasha said with a blush ''It's nothing I just did what I had to.'' He didn't see the big deal. He did what any father would do with a sad little pup. Kagome smiled ''I know and she knows it too. Believe me there is nothing more confident for a little girl than her papa showing how much he loves her.'' To reward him Kagome started to rub his ears.

Even if he was too proud to say it he enjoyed having his ears rubbed after a long day and he hoped his son would too because he had better get used to his mother playing with them. ''That was one thing Moroha should be grateful about.'' HE thought to himself as he purred in pleasure at his mate's touch.

I know I'm lazy calling Inuyasha half demon and Kagome a priestess but we all know what the correct terms are right?

I also think Kagome and Inuyasha being mates is more demonish.
