Xander had been swearing for ten minutes straight. Bare minimum. O'Neill had been in the Air Force for more than 30 years. He had thought he knew how to swear. The things coming out of Xander's mouth had him rethinking that. The threat to use his sword for involuntary rectal surgery had O'Neill clenching. The one about his wife having free reign with her blades to slice and dice inchworms had him winching in sympathy and fighting not to cross his own legs. The one about him threatening to call up someone named Giles and have him put 'Ripper' on stand by, made him wonder who or what Ripper was. The reminder that they were considered blood kin to not one but two Romani Clans, a people who apparently prided themselves on turning vengeance into an art form, somehow, had him silently swearing never to upset a Romani. But it was the reminder that Cordelia had apparently once shattered the skull of one of the dimensional invaders when it attacked while she was pregnant, with her fist, and Xander and the Pack had made paste of it's boss that had O'Neill wanting to hide. These people could be down right scary!
Finding out that the NID had found out that the Pack had the Ancient gene when they got their grimy, unethical hands on Tor and Heidi's blood and tissue samples from the Intiative fiasco two years ago was bad enough. Finding out they knew Abigail had been born with Protector abilities because the NID had bribed Samantha Gray's nephew to break into her files and copy all the information in said files, was even worse. Samantha was going to be devastated when she found out that her beloved nephew had sold them out to people who wanted to kidnap and experiment on a child. Finding out the President had known since the second attempt on Abigail and that, yes his reasons for sending the Pack to Cheyenne Mountain was to hide them in a fortress while the FBI tracked down the kidnappers especially, did not go over well. Knowing that sending them there meant that the truth about the gene would come out hadn't gone over well either. That the NID apparently thought they could kill two birds with one stone in regards to Abigail, creating more Protectors and having access to Ancient technology, pretty much made Xander and the Pack homicidal.
Finally, Xander started to wind down. He took several deep breaths and then said. "Mr. President find these people and stop them. Because if I unlease my people to go after them, we will burn them to the ground. No one threatens my family. No one. If they ever did manage to get their hands on her, it would mean we were all dead. Death is not the end. Even from the grave, we could do damage. You know that, Mr. President. Find them. Or we will."
After promising that they were close and would have people in custody before long, the President finally managed to get off the red phone. He stared at it like it was a snake about to strike for moment and then said. "How close are we to finding the idiots who somehow stupidly thought that upsetting a man who has managed to kill an actual god was a good idea?"
"We've already got several people in custody. We're interrogating them now. We hope to have more within a few days." The agent from the FBI told him. "Hopefully, before they get desperate and try again. Because I'm absolutely certain Harris will kill them and make them disappear. Not that I would blame him. Wanting to experiment on a child is perverted and downright nasty. If it was my kid, I'd want them dead too. Personally."
"A sentiment I can understand, but technically cannot condone. Find them before Harris and his Pack do, okay. The last thing we need, is augmented humans going after regular people. If that ever got out, people might not wait to hear an explanation."
The agent agreed and left. Meanwhile Xander began issuing orders to his Pack.
"Jesse, ward the whole damn mountain if you have too. They do not get near her, understand me? Go." Jesse nodded and left.
"Willow, use your access to find out exactly what they know. Go." She went.
"Kyle, call Giles and alert them. They may try to go after family to get to us, to use them as a bargaining chip. Wouldn't do them any good, because I know damn well none of them would give her up. Doesn't mean they wouldn't try. Go."
"Cordy, call your dad and have him lock down every one at the Manor. Security there is tighter than Fort Knox, with conventional and Warding that's been done. Give me Abigail, I'll hold her while you do that."
"Heidi, call the Chief and fill him in. If he's got questions, let me know. Go."
Xander, himself called Rory. If O'Neill thought Xander could swear, than he was in for surprise. The stuff coming out of Rory Harris' mouth was even more terrifying. O'Neill was impressed. And a little intimidated. What the Hell was a Ragorian batworm and why did it like to eat human entrails?
