Sailor Moon was originally created by Naoko Takeuchi, while Golden Hawk was created by me, although his secret identity was created by Jerry and Sharon Logue. This series takes place in a real place, Orange County, California, during the 1980s. While I strive to make this series as accurate as possible, I have made some changes for artistic purposes.
Meet Serena Campbell, a typical all-American girl. Blonde hair, blue eyes, a little on the short side. She's very pretty, even though she sometimes thinks her nose is a little small for her face, and she sometimes wishes she was a couple inches taller. She has family and friends, people who love her, and people she loves. She sort of somewhat had a boyfriend, well, he's a boy, and he's her friend. And now, he's her boyfriend for real. And now, the trio is a quartet, as Sailor Mars has joined up.
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA

"Thanks for staying with me this last month, aunt Denise," Lissa King said, as she put the box containing the last of her personal belongings in the back of the U-Haul parked in the driveway of the house she'd called home practically her whole life.
"It's the least I could do for my brother and his wife, may they rest in peace," Denise Bowen said. "But don't forget, I have my husband and kids back home. Speaking of which, you're going to like it in Placentia."
"But Stockton's been my home my whole life," Lissa said.
"And it'll always be your hometown," Denise said. "But Placentia's not such a bad place. For one, come football season, you don't have to deal with Bay Area traffic to go to a Rams game. Heck, you don't even have to get on the freeway. Same thing with baseball, you don't have to settle for a minor league team, we have the California Angels. And I remember how much you liked Disneyland when you came down here a couple years ago. Well, they have annual passports, you pay one price, and it's good for an entire year. Uncle Bill, Cindy, Ashley, and I all have annual passes, we'll get you one, you can go as often as you want. And you'll be going to El Dorado in the fall, it's a good school."
CHAPTER 6: WHEN SPARKS FLY...
ROUND TABLE PIZZA, LA HABRA, CALIFORNIA
JULY 12, 1986
7:00 P,M.
Someone played "West End Girls" by Pet Shop Boys on the jukebox at Round Table as Jerry Logue entered, along with Serena Campbell. "My mom should be here in a few minutes," Jerry said.
"Are we going to wait for her?" Serena asked.
"She said to go ahead and order for her," Jerry said. He went up to the counter, where he got a piece of paper out of his pocket, on which his mom wrote down what she wanted him to order. "I'll have a large double pepperoni, a large King Arthur's Supreme, a large Guinevere's Garden Delight, six salad bars, a pitcher of Coke, a pitcher of Cherry Coke, with a total of 6 glasses."
The girl behind the counter gave him his total, and he paid her. "Don't forget to get a fresh plate every time you visit the salad bar," she said, as she took his money.
"You think I could get $5 of that in quarters?" Jerry asked.
"For the games?" the girl responded with a question of her own.
"That, and the jukebox," Jerry replied.
"Sure thing," the girl said, giving him his change, making sure to give him $5 in quarters. Jerry and Serena took the pitchers and glasses, and sat at a large round table. As they set everything down, Jerry's mom arrived, along with Debbie, Jimmy, and Jennie.
"We already got everything," Serena said. "You can all go grab some salad, and some soda, we have Coke and Cherry Coke."
"I'm going to go feed the jukebox a few quarters," Jerry said. He went to the jukebox, put a few quarters in, and made his selections. He selected "Hey Jude" by the Beatles, "Pleasant Valley Sunday" by the Monkees, "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" by Jim Croce, "Holding Back the Years" by Simply Red, and "Open My Eyes" by Nazz. After he put his songs in, he went back to his table, poured himself some Cherry Coke, and went to get himself some salad. As he went up, Jennie went up with him.
Meanwhile, Denise Bowen had come to Round Table with her daughters Cindy and Ashley, and her niece, Lissa King, who she had taken in after her parents had been killed in a car accident a couple years earlier. While Jerry and Jennie were at the salad bar, Lissa went up to get herself some salad. When she saw Jennie at the salad bar, it took her a couple seconds, but she recognized her. "Pookie?" Lissa asked, when she saw Jennie.
"I haven't gone by Pookie for a couple years now," Jennie said.
"Sorry," Lissa said. "That's how long it's been since I've seen you. I used to live next door to you before my mom and dad died."
"Lissa?" Jennie asked. "Lissa King?"
"Yeah," Lissa said.
"Hey Lissa," Jerry said. "I didn't know you knew my cousin."
"You two are cousins?" Lissa asked.
"Yeah," Jennie said. "Jerry's mom is my dad's sister. How do you know him?"
"We go to the same school," Lissa said. "We had a few classes together these last couple years."
"I was wondering whatever happened to you since your parents died," Jennie said.
"Doesn't that beat all," Lissa said. "That guy I thought was cute when I first saw him, he's my neighbor's nephew."
"Small world, ain't it?" Jerry asked.
"You even think of singing that inane song, I'll grab a baseball bat and go Reggie Jackson on your skull," Lissa said. "I fucking hate that song."
"You gotta come over and say hi to Jimmy," Jennie said.
"He's here, too?" Lissa asked.
"We're spending a month out here with our grandparents," Jennie said.
"I thought they lived in Arizona," Lissa said.
"No, that's Tommy's parents," Jerry said. "Carolyn's parents live over by Knott's Berry Farm."
Meanwhile, Jennie and Lissa went to the table where Sharon, Debbie, Serena, and Jimmy were sitting. "Hey Jimmy, you're not going to believe who I just ran into," she said.
"Who?" Jimmy asked.
"Me," Lissa said.
"What are you doing down here," Jimmy asked, as he got up, and hugged Lissa.
"I live down here," Lissa said. "After my parents were killed, my aunt came up to stay with me for a few weeks, to finish out the school year, but she had her own family. Since she was my nearest next of kin, she took me in, and I came down with her. I actually like it better here than Stockton. Anaheim Stadium is a lot nicer than Billy Hebert Field, and the Angels are a Major League team, not a dinky Single A team. And since they share a stadium with the Rams, I don't have to go to San Francisco to see a football game. Speaking of which, my uncle's taken me to a couple Raiders games, since they play in Los Angeles now. Same goes with basketball, my uncle's taken me to a few Lakers games. Last season, he managed to score courtside tickets, and you wouldn't believe who I sat next to."
"Who?" Jimmy asked.
"Jack Nicholson," Lissa said. "He was in Terms of Endearment, The Shining, and a few other movies. I even got his autograph."
"Wow," Jimmy said.
Later on, Jerry and Serena went to grab something from Peggy Sue. As they went out into the parking lot, Jerry sensed something wrong. "Call the others," he said, as he tossed a couple smoke pellets at his feet, surrounding himself with gold smoke. When the smoke cleared, Golden Hawk was where Jerry stood. As Jerry transformed, Serena saw the demon in the parking lot, in front of Safeway..
"This is Graceland," Serena said into her communicator. "Shit's about to go down in front of Safeway, corner of Imperial and Idaho in La Habra."
"This is Madeline," Amy Anderson said into her communicator. "I'll be right there."
"Southpaw here," Rae Hinkley said, using the codename she chose, on account of her being left handed. ""I'm there 10 seconds ago."
Serena got out her transformation brooch and held it up. "Pretty Soldier of the Moon, Make-Up!" she said, transforming into Sailor Moon.
As Serena transformed, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars arrived, just as the demon began to attack people. "Leave those people alone!" Golden Hawk said.
"And who's going to stop me?" the demon asked, sarcastically.
"I am," Golden Hawk said.
"You and what army?" the demon asked.
"I don't need an army," Golden Hawk said. "But I did bring some soldiers with me. Sailor Soldiers, to be exact."
"I am the Soldier of Love and Justice," Sailor Moon said. "I am Sailor Moon, and in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!"
"I am the Soldier of Love and Wisdom," Sailor Mercury said. "I am Sailor Mercury, and in the name of Mercury, Douse yourself in water and repent!"
"I am the Soldier of Love and Passion," Sailor Mars said. "I am Sailor Mars, and in the name of Mars, I'll chastise you!"
"And I'm the Wicked Cool Suburban Vigilante of 1986," Golden Hawk said. "You can call me Golden Hawk, and in the name of all that is awesome, I'll kick your ass!"
"Mercury Icicle attack!" Sailor Mercury said, launching a barrage of icicles at the demon.
"Mars Flame Sniper!" Sailor Mars said, forming a bow of fire, and firing arrows of fire at the demon.
Golden Hawk transformed his staff into a pair of blasters, and began firing at the demon. "Eat hot death!" he said.
Meanwhile, Lissa's gut had told her to step outside. When she did, she saw Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Golden Hawk fighting the demon. "Oh shit," Lissa said. "I'd been hearing about Sailor Moon fighting demons, but I never thought I'd see it for myself."
At that moment, Luna walked by. As she passed Lissa, she noticed, for a split second, the symbol for the planet Jupiter on her forehead. "It's you," Luna said. "The Guardian Princess from Jupiter."
"I don't know who you are," Lissa said, "but if you think I'm some guardian princess, you must be on drugs."
"I can assure you that I am definitely not on drugs," Luna said.
"Who said that?" Lissa asked.
"I did," Luna said.
Lissa looked where the voice was coming from, and only saw a black cat. "No," Lissa said. "No fucking way a fucking cat speaking to me. I must be the one on drugs."
"You're not on drugs, either," Luna said, as she materialized a transformation pen topped with a disc with the symbol for Jupiter on it. "Take this, and say "Pretty Jupiter Soldier, Make-Up!" Now do it, your friends can use your help."
"Might as well do what the nice talking cat says," Lissa said, picking up the pen, and holding it up. "Pretty Jupiter Soldier, Make-Up!" she said, and was transformed. She wore a costume similar to the ones worn by Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Mars, but trimmed in pink and green, with green fingernails. "Whoa," she said, when she saw herself.
"Congratulations," Luna said. "You're now Sailor Jupiter. Now go help your friends."
"Prepare to die!" Sailor Jupiter said.
"And who the hell are you?" the demon asked.
"I am the Soldier of Love and Courage," Sailor Jupiter said. "I am Sailor Jupiter, and in the name of Jupiter, I'll fill you so full of regret, it'll leave you numb!"
"The odds just got tipped a little more in our favor," Golden Hawk said.
"Jupiter Lightning Strike!" Sailor Jupiter said, as a small lightning rod grew out of her tiara, which attracted a lightning bolt, which she absorbed, and used its power to shoot lightning from her fingers at the demon.
"Time to finish this thing off," Sailor Mercury said.
"Right," Sailor Moon said, removing her tiara. "Moon Tiara, Boomerang!" she said, throwing her tiara at the demon, destroying it.
"I think our enemy's slipping," Golden Hawk said. "These damn demons keep getting easier and easier to defeat."
""I'm sure the fact our team keeps growing doesn't have anything to do with that," Sailor Moon said.
"I guess you're right," Golden Hawk said. "Now let's see who our new friend with the electrifying personality is,"
"You're going to find out eventually if we're going to be a team," Sailor Jupiter said, transforming back to Lissa King. "For those of you who don't know me, I'm Melissa King, but everyone calls me Lissa."
"Serena Campbell," Sailor Moon said, as she transformed back.
"Amy Anderson," she said, after transforming from Sailor Mercury.
"Rae Hinkley," she said, as she transformed from Sailor Mars.
"Time for the old smoke and mirrors bit," Golden Hawk said, "Minus the mirrors, of course." He tossed a couple smoke pellets at his feet, surrounding himself with gold smoke. When the smoke cleared, Jerry Logue stood in his place. "Jerry Logue," he said.
The next morning, Jerry showed up at Lissa's house. "Good morning," Lissa said, as she answered the door. "So what brings you here this morning?"
"To give you this," Jerry said, handing Lissa a compact, similar to the ones used by Serena, Amy, and Rae.
"What is this?" Lissa asked.
"It's your communicator," Jerry said. "We all have them, except mine's not a compact."
"And what do you use?" Lissa asked.
"My watch," Jerry said. "Since I always wear it, it doesn't arouse suspicion. Anyways, the girls also asked me to tell you to think of a code name. Since my superhero name is Golden Hawk, I use Big Bird. Since Serena is a huge Elvis fan, she uses Graceland, Amy uses Madeline, since it was her favorite book as a little girl, Rae uses Southpaw, since she's left handed, and since black cats are considered bad luck, Luna uses Bad Luck Charm."
"I think since my powers are lightning or electricity based," Lissa said. "I'll go with Sparky."
"Good choice," Jerry said. "Got that everyone?" he asked into his communicator.
"Loud and clear," Amy said. "Madeline out."
"Got it," Rae said. "Southpaw, out."
"Perfect," Serena said. "Graceland out."
"Acknowledged," Luna said. "Bad Luck Charm Out."
