First, let's get started on the history of the X-Games...
After the events of what everyone now calls X2, the government, namely the president issued an order that shook the world. He proposed to let the Mutant Affairs Association Board (MAAB) start a type of game to make the mutant population listen to the government. He also proposed the Mutant Division Program, America was to be split into twelve regions or districts. In each district, normal humans will make up the higher social orders. Mutants will mostly do grunt work there, and the richest and most important normal humans will live in an area assigned as the Capitol.
Within a decade, the proposal was accepted and acted upon, America was split into twelve sections and mutants became servants. The games that were above mentioned started, its official term as christened by the MAAB is Games for Actively Controlling the Mutant Population and Protecting Humans (GACMPPH), however most people call it the X-Games, as it started due to the actions of the X-Men during the events of X2 and targets people with the X-gene.
Every year, each district was to send two tributes to the Capitol to fight to the death, only two could survive. They would be crowned as victors and receive victor's compensation both for themselves and their districts. District 1, 2, and 4 started pretraining their children to compete in the X-Games so that they could acquire more riches through their victors and get into the Capitol's good graces.
Every 25 years, there is a Quarter Quell, and this year is the sixth one, aka the 150th X-Game, and twice the usual amount of tributes will be reaped, who will win?
