Plot
Porky is traveling to a wrestling match. He gets a ride from the challenger, but when he gets to the arena, Porky is accidentally mistaken for the challenger, and ends up in the ring. The champ is defeating Porky when Porky crawls out and gets the champ stuck in knots, before swallowing a spectator's pipe and doing a steam locomotive impression.
Cast
• Joe Dougherty as Porky Pig: An anthropomorphic pig who is known for his stuttering. Mel Blanc also voices Porky's Hoo-Hoo.
Alex used the remote, went on the YouTube app, and typed "Porky the Wrestler" in its searchbar and clicked on the first video that popped up "Porky the Wrestler (1937) Redrawn Colorized".
The video started with the original Warner Bros. logo, as the "Looney Tunes" logo appeared, showing Porky Pig, as underneath neon green text appeared, reading "Produced by Leon Schlesinger", the title "Porky the Wrestler" was shown, with text appearing, reading "Supervision: Fred Avery" and "Animation: Charles Jones, Elmer Wait", respectively while the rest of the text was ineligible. The short starts with newspaper being printed as we see a dog in a suit, as a sign on a tree reads "To the Pig Fight ", as the stretches several times as we see a human smoking.
"Smoking is really unhealthy." everybody said.
We see a cat in a suit, pointing several times.
Cat: Calling all cars, calling all cars if you arrive please.
Porky Pig then appears, pointing. We see somebody driving, as his car breaks down. He puts all the pieces of his car in his suitcase.
"How is that possible?" TTG-Robin asked.
"It's a cartoon." TTG-Cyborg pointed out.
The man points, as does Porky when a car stops.
Man: Where are you going, sonny?
Porky (stuttering): Well, I am going to the wrestling match.
Man: So am I!
He slams the door, leaving Porky high and dry. Meanwhile, we see a blue car as black text underneath reads "The Challenger", as we see Porky on the side of the road waving his hands in the air.
The Challenger (stretching Jones' neck): Hey, Jones?
Jones: Yes, sir?
The Challenger (referring to Porky): Pick up this little fellow. The car continues driving as it starts to a halt, as Porky comes in the car. Hello, what's your name kiddo?
Porky (stuttering): My name's Porky Pig. What's yours?
The Challenger speaks mostly gibberish. At the wrestling arena, two men are pacing, talking to themselves. The Challenger falls into a trapdoor as the men come towards Porky, mistaking him as the Challenger.
Man: The Challenger, you're late.
Later at the match, one of Man-Mountain the Champ's trainers come to tell him something.
Trainer: (gibberish, and then English, referring to the challenger): The Challenger just came in, champ.
Ring Announcer: In this corner at 406 , Man Mountain the Champion! And in this corner, Hugo the Challenger!
It is empty. Below, Porky is sent up. Porky looks at Man-Mountain, who is growling and is terrified. Man-Mountain bounces the post and grabs Porky, and rolls him in a ball.
Man-Mountain (singing): 1, 2, 3, you're merry poor
Man-Mountain (singing): 4, 5, 6, oh, merry 7, 8, 9, oh, Merry dee dee As he tries to grab Porky, he escapes only for Man-Mountain to hurt himself.
As he wraps his arm around his back, he pounds his fist causing the fight handler's cigarette to go into his mouth as he puffs out balls of smoke. He uses the smoke to blow out steam, as Porky and the referee see this and run towards Man-Mountain, running in a filed line, as the fight handler rings the bell.
Concessions Man: Pillows, bags of beans, crackerjacks, chewing gum, candy.
As the congo line continues, a man looks at the window as the line continues, Porky eventually leaves and runs into Man-Mountain.
Man-Mountain: So, you don't want to play choo-choo?
Man-Mountain grabs Porky, and runs around him as a tornado until they come crashing on the mat. A dazed Porky runs under the wrestling mat, as Man-Mountain kicks Porky into a post, only for him to move when Man-Mountain tries to punch the post as Porky lands on Man-Mountain.
Referee (counting the pin): 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10! Winner! He raises Porky's hand and tries to lift Man-Mountain's unconscious body, only for his hand to swell up as the video ends. The video ends with "That's all, folks!" message.
