"That's all for today, Adrien. Thanks for coming on short notice!" Adrien's photographer said, as he packed up his gear. "No, problem."

Adrien wandered away, looking down at his Kwami. "So, Plagg, what shall we do? We still have a few hours till we need to get back home." Plagg opened his mouth then said, "Ladybug!" "Funny, we could look for ladybugs, but you almost always choose the cheese shop!" "No. Ladybug. By the fountain."

Adrien looked over. Sure enough, Ladybug was helping a little girl rescue her dollie from the fountain. "You should go say hello. Maybe you can even buy her a ice cream." "You feeling alright, Plagg?" Plagg grinned shyly. "I know how much she means to me. We can go to the cheese store later."

Adrien felt shy as she approached Ladybug. "Um, Ladybug? Hi!" "Adrien!" "I was nearby and saw you, and I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?" "You want to hang out with-me?" Ladybug looked a little shy as well. "If you want to." "I think I have some time. Sometimes I come here to the wishing fountain. Here, I'll give you some pennies." "What do you do with these?" Ladybug giggled. "Toss them in the water, and make a wish silly!"

Adrien closed his eyes, and tossed his coin in. "So, what did you wish for?" "I can't tell, cause it hasn't come true yet." They tossed more pennies, then sat down on the rim of the fountain. Both were a little nervous. Why is it so easy to talk to her with a mask and bell, but not as Adrien? "So, did you have a photo shoot this afternoon?" Ladybug asked. "Yeah, they asked me last minute. The magazine should be coming out in the next few weeks." "I have some of your magazines. Your a great model. Do you think you'll be doing it for a long time?" Adrien sighed. "I actually just do it to please my father. I don't know what I want to do in life yet." "You have time." They listened to the fountain behind them, bubbling and chuckling.

Then Adrien perked up. "Do you hear bells?" Ladybug's face lit up. "The ice cream man!" She begin to stand up then wobbled. "Careful!" Adrien steadied her with his hand. "Thanks," Ladybug blushed, looking away.

"Look! There's the cart!" Ladybug said, as it came into view. "Um, Ladybug?" Adrien's face resembled a strawberry. "May I hold your hand?" Ladybug nodded. Slowly, Adrien slipped his hand into hers, surprised at how little it was.

Adrien ordered a chocolate cone, while Ladybug ordered strawberry. They decided to head over to the merry-go-round. "Catch that drip!" Adrien licked furiously, trying to eat his fast melting cone. Ladybug snorted before bursting into laughter. "I'm sorry, but you have ice cream all over your face. Here, I have a wet wipe here in my bag."

Adrien felt his heart do an extra thump as she cleaned his face. It was fun hanging out like this, being goofy and no satsumas around.

After the merry-go-round, Ladybug wobbled. "I'm so dizzy!" "Here let me help you!" Adrien grabbed her playfully, and spun her around. She shrieked with laughter. Gently, setting her down they looked into each other's eyes. "My wish came true you know." Ladybug looked up at him. "Oh?" "My wish was to have fun with you this afternoon. But there's something that would make it even better." Adrien leaned down and softly brushed his lips over Ladybug's.

Her heart felt light as if it could float away and soar. "Thanks for the wonderful afternoon, Adrien. Thanks for being my friend."
