Chapter 2: What are you doing?

Komaru tried to turn over but something was anchoring her to the spot. She hummed softly as her eyes fluttered open. "Toko?" Komaru unintentionally raised her leg and suddenly a sharp inhale was taken by the writer. "Mm, Komaru." Toko breathed in her sleep. "Sorry!" She whispered. Gently, her fingers ran through Toko's long tangled hair. Snagging on a strand, Komaru gently tugged, earning her a soft moan from the sleepy one. Toko's arms loosened as they moved to Komaru's hips, sending electric waves up her spine. Komaru bit her lip, trying to hold herself back. Toko was touching her, mumbling her name, and moaning. She couldn't take it, she had to do something. 'A simple touch.' She told herself, 'something not too suspicious.' Lovingly, Komaru ran a hand down Toko's arm as she nuzzled the soft tangled hair. "W..what are you d..doing?!"

Komaru's breath hitched as Toko stuttered. Playing it off, Komaru released the writer and stretched with a fake yawn. "Morning Toki. Comfortable?" As a response, Toko nodded quietly. Both girls gazed into each other's eyes, cheeks red, and lips only a inch apart. Komaru began to close the gap. Toko parted her lips slightly and tilted her head, then...

A loud ring snapped them both awake. Toko tossed the cover and quickly made herself presentable, even if she was in a baggy old shirt and her underwear. Komaru was in some shorts and a tank top. "MASTER BYAKUYA!" Toko squealed as she flipped the laptop open. "Toko! Do you have any decency left?" Togami sneered as he eyed the woman in disgust. "Morning Togami. What do we owe the pleasure." Komaru huffed sarcastically. "Now that Future Foundation is disbanded, Makoto, Asahina, and the rest of us alive have decided to come visit. With the previous information you gave us, whatever family we have left may be alive there." He began. "So you all are coming here?" Komaru asked. "Oh I can't wait sweet Togami~" Toko swooned, earning a scoff from the man. "Thanks for the heads up, we'll work double time for your arrival." Komaru added before walking away with both excitement and disappointment. On one hand she gets to see her brother, on the other Toko is going to swoon over Togami the entire time. 'I shouldn't keep my hopes up.' She thought to herself, dressing for the new day.

Komaru was blasting Monokumas left and right with no remorse. Feeling worried, Toko watched. "Should I do something?" She asked herself, "She seems pretty out of it." She looked down at the stun gun. "Maybe she can help?" "Toko! Watch out!" Komaru's call, snapped her back to reality. A Monokuma had spawned without her realizing. As she turned, a flash of their claws came closer until... "Knockback!" Komaru yelled as the bear went flying. "Toko are you ok!?" Komaru cupped her face gently, sending electric shocks throughout her body. "Y...ya. I'm fine. Thank you." Toko answered timidly, as all her blood rushed to her cheeks. "No problem, just be more careful alright?" Komaru's eyes softened, leaving Toko breathless. 'She's getting taller.' She thought. "Must of hit a growth spurt." Slipping passed her lips, letting the breath go. To her surprise, Komaru looked back with a questioning look. "Shit." Toko cursed, raising the stun gun to her temple pulling the trigger. "Honey I'm home!!! Ahahahah!!" Syo proclaimed as she dashed to Komaru's side.

"Wow Dekumaru! You're working me down to the bone! Did we piss you off hot stuff?" Syo lowered her scissors and plopped down on the ground panting like a dog. "Didn't you know? Togami is coming. I told him we'd clean up."

Syo stopped her heavy breathing. She hummed as she stood up, brushing off her torn skirt. "Alright, but if you need anything, just let me knowww... ACHOO!" Syo sneezed loudly as her personality swapped. "So you think I'm tall hu?" Komaru smirked. "I can't believe you are still on that!" Toko protected. "Let's head back. I owe you and Syo a nap, but first~..." Komaru stopped Toko to stand beside her with a hand comparing the difference. "Really?" Toko smirked.

The two walked into their hotel room and plopped down on the bed together. Toko laid down but Komaru stayed sitting. "Sorry... I didn't mean to wear you two out. Are you soar anywhere?"She sounded gentle, prompting Toko to turn over for a look. Other then her feet and legs Toko felt fine, should she tell her that? "I'm fine. Syo must have ran a marathon, I feel my feet pulsing." Toko joked with a small smile. "I guess you couldn't keep up with me." Komaru teased. "Or maybe you're legs got longer! Stop growing! I'm older, how are you surpassing me!" Toko rocked back and forth as she ranted, but stopped when she heard Komaru say, "Maybe it's my turn to protect you."

Toko blushed as she went into her own mind. Picturing Komaru pushing her against the bed. Chest pushed up against her own and Komaru whispers, "I will protect you with all my love Toko." Into her sensitive ear. The imaginary Komaru took Toko's hand lovingly and placed a soft tender kiss on the writer's knuckles.

"Toko, please don't drool on the bed." The real Komaru snapped her back into reality. "S..sorry!" Toko covered her mouth with a hidden smile. Ever since Komaru said she wouldn't leave without her, Toko had started to include Komaru in her fantasies. At first it was small, with her in the background or have a quick one liner, but now she's all Toko can imagine. She hardly thought of Byakuya much, if at all. "Do you mind if I sleep for a moment?" Toko asking shyly. "Of course that's fine! Why are you asking?" Komaru chuckled. Toko hummed before snuggling into the pillow. 'Cute.' Komaru thought before grabbing her manga from under the bed.

Kagami's story started to take a different turn. The shy introvert, began to follow the new student around. Each chapter shown her learning more about her crush little by little, and even trying to find a way to start a conversation. The first volume was wrapping up with Kagami slowly trying to approach the other girl, but was blocked by the so called 'popular' girls. "What do you think you're doing?" One girl snapped. Kagami looked away and tried to play innocent, "W..what?" She stuttered. "We booked this room for student council, you can't be here." The leader seemed calmer but still had a stern face as she spoke. "Sorry... I was just trying to ask the new girl something. I can go..." Kagami was shocked when the girls gave her mischievous grins. "Oh? You wanted to ask the new secretary something? Haru, can you come here please."

"Yes of course madam president!" The new student hopped from her seat and trotted over. Her eyes met Kagami's, making the poor girl melt from embarrassment. "Hey! You're from my class. Kagami right?"

"You remember my name?" The girl straitened herself with a blush running across her face. Haru smiled as she looked at the other girls. "What can I help with?"

"Go ahead, ask." The president smirked as all the eyes landed on Kagami. Her heart beat loudly in her chest as her body started to shake. "I... um... Haru..." she was almost in tears as the anxiety quickly spread. "She's like a little mouse trapped in a cage." One girl snorted. Haru looked around at her club members but then quickly realized their intentions. She calmly took Kagami by the shoulder and helped her out of the room, "Of course you wanted to ask about the class project, let's go Kagami. I'll see you girls later." The girls from the council looked shocked as they watched the two leave. "I didn't know they were friends." The leader was surprised. "I didn't think she had any." The other gasped.

"There. I'm sorry about them. They can get a little uptight sometimes. Are you alright?" Haru asked sweetly. "Y..yes. Thank you." Kagami swayed back and forth nervously. "Now, what did you wanna ask?" Haru's smile seemed to help the other gain a little more confidence. Kagami shut her eyes and raised her hands to her chest, still balled up into fists. "C...can we hang out sometime?!"

After seeing the 'to be continued' in the corner, Komaru closed the book. "I hate cliffhangers." Komaru sighed as she slipped the manga back under the bed. She was going to reach for the bag of books, but noticed Toko was stirring under the cover. "Toki? You ok?" Komaru asked softly, as she began to remove the blanket from her 'friend's' face. Only irritated growls answered as the sleeping woman was being uncovered. "Cold..." Toko complained, still half asleep. "Cold? How are you..." Komaru placed a hand on Toko's. It felt like ice. "Toko?! Why are you so cold?!" She panicked, waking Toko further. "Hu?" Toko felt the warmth from Komaru's hand and tugged on it. "Cuddles." Toko demanded, still sleepy. "Cuddles?" Komaru chuckled as she sunk into the bed. "Omaru. So warm~" The writer purred as she snuggled into the other's side. Toko's head relaxed on Komaru's shoulder and her arms wrapped around the torso. The sudden affection made Komaru greedy. Toko rarely got this close. So Komaru gently scooped up the body next to hers and pulled her on top.

Toko felt the shift and when she felt herself being lifted her heart skipped a few beats. "Omaru?" She didn't mean to, but her voice cracked as her face hovered over her companion's. "Warm enough Toki?" Their bodies locked together perfectly, from their legs to their different shaped chests. "Warm?" Toko breathed softly. Her body was definitely heating up but she didn't want Komaru to know that. 'But why not?' She asked herself. She wants Komaru, that was perfectly clear in her mind, but what if she ended up rejecting her as well?

Komaru was puzzled by Toko's silence. Normally Toko spoke her mind, that was one of the things Komaru liked about her. 'What could she be thinking? Was I too forward? Should I tell her?'

"Omaru... Komaru... do you... um." Toko couldn't find the words as she anxiously moved her arms above their heads. Toko hovered over Komaru with her hair draping down around them. The younger one waits patiently to hear what her crush has to say. "Komaru..." Toko's eyes softened, nibbling the corner of her lip. "Yes?" She answered curiously. "Can I... do you..?" Toko struggled to come up with anything to say, her eyes looked away in frustration. "Take your time, there is no need to be scared." Komaru ran her fingers through Toko's long locks, trying to comfort her, and to her surprise Toko leaned into it. 'Is she trying to confess to me? No that can't be it... can it?' Komaru though as she gently pulled Toko closer. Their lips only a breath apart. Komaru waited, not wanting Toko to pull away. She didn't. Toko relaxed and softly pressed them together.
