"Much better. Fit as a fiddle." she said with a fake smile. Hatori looked at her. "Are you okay?" She looked at Hatori, fighting back tears. She tried to keep the smile on her face. "Akito left. Shigure took her back to the main Soma estate. We are going to keep her much more guarded." Tohru nodded.
She looked at him. "Hatori, if you had another chance to be with Kana, would you take it?" Hatori looked at her in surprise. "What do you mean?" Tohru sighed and she walked closer to him. "Akito threatened Kyo's life if I allowed myself to love and stay with him. She threatened to kill Kyo."
Hatori looked at her. "What I want to know is would you change anything with your time with Kana?" Hatori looked at her with sympathy. "No. I wouldn't give up any of the time we had together. The only thing that I would change would be the day that we told Akito. Because that was the day that Kana was taken from me essentially."
"Akito has threatened the lives of every single member of the Zodiac and we are used to bowing down to her. But when you came into the picture the Zodiac saw that they had a choice. They could either cower under Akito's thumb. Or we could look to you and allow ourselves to be better."
Tohru looked at Hatori. "I understand that you want to protect Kyo and the others, but sacrificing your happiness isn't the way to do that. The rest of us have gotten the courage to stick up for ourselves when it comes to Akito. And that's because of you."
"Yuki talks more. Kyo smiles and allows himself to be happy, despite being a cat. We are all better because of you Tohru Honda. And that is an amazing thing to feel. I think that I speak for everyone that we are so grateful that you are in our lives."
Tohru looked at Hatori. "What should I do?" she asked. Hatori sighed. "I can't tell you what to do or what to feel Tohru. You have to make that decision on your own. But I think that you should allow yourself to think about it first. Kyo has had a rough upbringing and he doesn't trust easy. You were able to get past that."
"So just think about that before you decide anything rash." Tohru nodded. Hatori walked away. Tohru looked at the house. 'What should I do? Should Ijust leave?' she thought to herself. What could she do?
She wanted to just be with Kyo and be happy and be free from Akito. "Tohru." She turned and there stood Kyo. Torhu looked at Kyo. "Kyo." she said, tears filling her eyes. "Please don't hate me. I don't know what else to do to keep you safe. Akito will never stop threatening me with your life." Kyo walked up to her and he took her hand. "Then we need to leave. We need to get away from here and just be together away from Akito." said Kyo. Tohru looked at him. "We can't just leave. What about school?" she asked.
Kyo shook his head. "Forget school. This is your safety. She may be threatening me but she has no trouble hurting you as well. She almost killed you Tohru." Tohru nodded. "We can't just pack up and leave. We need to stay and graduate."
Kyo shook his head. "You know that we won't be together after high school. I will be locked away. You know that." Tohru looked down. "I don't know what else to do other than leave."
"GOD!" yelled Kyo in anger. Tohru flinched. "You don't get it, Tohru! Whether you leave or not I will still be locked away that hasn't changed. That won't change because that is my life! So instead of leaving me, stay with me and spend time with me while I still can!" he yelled.
Tohru looked at him. "I can't do that, Kyo. I'm sorry." she said, sadness lacing her voice. "Oh, gross." They turned and looked at Akito standing there with a cruel smile. "You really think that you can run away from this Kyo?"
"You know that you can't do that. I will always find you and you know that you cannot not obey me. No matter how much you hate me, you can't disobey me." Kyo put his arm in front of Tohru, pushing her behind him.
"We will get away from you Akito. And you will be alone." Kyo spit out. Akito frowned and walked toward the both of them. "You will not take anyone of the Zodiac from me, even the disgusting cat. And if I can't have the cat. No one can."
She reached over and she grabbed Kyo's arm and reached for his bracelet. Kyo tried to twist free but it was too late. Akito grabbed the bracelet from his wrist. Kyo screamed. "NO!" he screamed.
He dropped to his knees and screamed in pain as he transformed. Kyo looked from Akito to Tohru. Tohru had her mouth covered with her hand. She looked at Akito and she shook her head. "You taking his beads won't keep us apart."
Kyo looked at Tohru, tears filling his eyes. He took off for the cliffs. Torhu started to run after him. "I don't understand." Tohru stopped and she looked at Akito. "No matter what, you don't hate Kyo. You don't find him disgusting. You don't see him as we all see him. A monster."
"A monster that killed his mother. A monster that let your mother die so his secret wasn't found out. You are incapable of hating that monster." Tohru was filled with anger. She looked at Akito. "Because all those things are not his fault."
"He didn't ask to be the cat. He didn't ask to be cursed. He didn't ask for his mother to die. And he certainly didn't ask for you to be his God. You are cruel and dark. And all because you are so afraid to be alone. You would think that you would want to be kind to your zodiac. So they didn't want to get away from you."
"They wouldn't want to run from you. They wouldn't be scared of you. Your loneliness is one that you created Akito. And if you continue to do that then you really will be alone." Akito slapped Tohru across the face.
Torhu looked back at Akito. She was crying. "You don't know what the hell you're talking about." Tohru looked at Akito with anger. "Then why is there fear in your eyes." Silence. Tears fell from Akito's eyes.
Tohru took off after Kyo. Akito dropped to her knees and she sat on the ground, fear gripping her heart. She clenched her fists against the dirt, creating marks in the ground. "Damn you Tohru Honda. Damn you."
Tohru ran through the woods. "Kyo! Kyo, where are you!?" She yelled as she searched through the woods. "Kyo, come out!" she yelled as she continued to look. She made it to where the cliff collapsed so long.
"Tohru?" She turned and there stood Kyo, still in his true form. Tohru smiled warmly and she walked towards him. She reached for him and he backed away from her. He bowed his head. "I am so sorry, for you loving a monster like me."
Tohru shook her head. "No, you are not a monster, Kyo. You are just cursed. And that is not your fault. I still love you." Kyo picked his head up and looked at her. She smiled warmly. "You are still the same Kyo that I loved before."
"I knew what loving you meant. I knew that you are a complicated guy that has so many walls up and a lot of trauma. That you have a curse that you can't control. But I still love you. I love every part of you Kyo Soma."
Tears filled Kyo's eyes. He picked his head up. Tohru held out her hand. Kyo took a step and went to put his head against her hand. Tohru let out a gasp. She looked down at her side. She looked at Kyo in shock.
"Kyo." she gasped out. She fell forward. Kyo looked over to see that a blade dripping in her blood was in the hand of Akito. Kyo looked at Akito with such anger and hatred. Akito laughed. "That should be enough. Another obstacle dealt with." she said with a cruel smile.
Kyo looked at Akito and his eyes focused on Tohru's lifeless body. She was lying in a pool of blood. She had a wound in her lower back. Kyo screamed in agony. His cry was heard against the mountains and the whole Soma property.
