(XXXVI) Elie Confronts Sieg Hart

Sieg Hart finally found Elie sitting on the ground crying. Elie heard him approach and turned to him.

"So… After all these years…" Sieg Hart said.

Elie gasped. "It…it's you! The man from my dreams."

"You must be tougher than I thought," Sieg Hart said.

"What are you doing here?" Elie responded.

"I've finally found you." Sieg Hart responded.

"Hey—that was my line! I've been looking for you forever!"

"You've been searching for me? Why?" Sieg Hart asked.

"I had to! I need to learn about my past, and you're all that I can remember!" Elie responded. "Who are you? And what do you have to do with me?"

"My name is Sieg Hart. I'm the guardian of time." Sieg Hart said.

"Guardian of time?" Elie asked.

"I suppose I can answer your last question. The truth won't save you now. It's my mission to wipe out everything that could disrupt the time continuum. There are several factors that could cause time to spin out of control. And the most dangerous of them all is Etherion. Resha should've been the only one who was able to use Etherion."

Resha. Etherion! Elie thought.

"Even after Resha's death, Etherion Experiments continued in secret. It was difficult, but I eventually found the lab." Sieg Hart continued.

…Flashback…

Sieg Hart found a run down lab in a middle of nowhere.

"If I destroy this place, I can keep the time line on its proper course." Sieg Hart said as he waved his hand around.

When he finished a huge bolt of lightning fired down and destroyed the lab.

"This is the consequence of playing with things you can not comprehend. You pay for your crimes with your death."

Just then, there was a spike of power.

"Wait, was that Etherion I just sense? Impossible! It couldn't be…I…I stopped it. What's going on? If the sensation I felt had been the remnants of Etherion spilling into the ether so be it, but…"

Just then Ellie appeared out of the remains soaked in bra and underwear.

"So you're alive," Sieg Hart responded.

"You know me?" Elie asked.

…End of Flashback…

"N-No way! It can't be…" Elie responded.

"I should've killed you back then." Sieg Hart said.

"I-I am Elie." Elie said.

"No. You are a Number. A human test tube from the Etherion project. Subject number 3173."

"No!" Elie responded.

"You survived because you were the experiment's only success." Sieg Hart continued.

"Stop it!" Elie cried.

"You inherited the power of Etherion, a magical force that can destroy the flow of time."

"You're wrong! I'm Elie. I'm a person—not a thing! I'm sure I have family that's worried sick about me!"

"Elie, huh?" Sieg Hart started waving his index and middle finger and tattoo showed up on Elie's arm.

"Ow! Lay off!" Elie responded.

"Take a good look." Sieg said.

Elie did and noticed the tattoo upside down read 3173.

"The researchers put the sample numbers on upside down. It doesn't say 'ELIE'. It says '3173'."

"That's not what I wanted to know!" Elie cried. "I want to know my real name, my birthday, and my family!"

"'Want' is different than 'need'. And you don't 'need' to do anything but die. But don't worry. I'm going to help you." Sieg Hart said.

Elie grabbed her tonfa blasters and aimed at Sieg Hart.

Sieg Hart stepped forward with no fear.

"S-Stay back! Come any closer and I'll shoot! I'm serious! Do you hear me? I just want to know who I am!"

Sieg Hart got close to Elie and knocked her tonfa blaster out of her hand.

"The Etherion that's inside of you is starting to awaken. I have to kill you in order to preserve the order of time. All you can do is c- the fates that stuck you with the power of Etherion."

"Are you nuts? All I want to know is my name! Maybe a birthday! Anything! Somehow I always known… I'm not an ordinary person…I'm ready to hear the truth! Please! Tell me the truth! You're the only one who can!" Elie cried as she clinged onto Sieg Hart's Jacket. "You're the only person who knows who I am! Come on… Please! That's all I want…"

Sieg Hart actually soften a bit. "Your past, huh? Aren't you more concern about your future? The one I'm about to end?"

"No!" Elie responded. "No! Who in the world am i?"

Sieg Hart sighed. "You can just be Elie. But that's not right, is it?" Sieg Hart asked. "Fate is cruel sometimes. If it wasn't for Etherion, you probably could have led a normal life. You pour girl," Sieg pushed push Elie away from his chest but held her shoulders. "You don't have to cry anymore. I'll make all the questions go away."

Sieg Hart waved his hand and lightning struck down and hit Elie.

A/N: Sorry for the similiarities between this chapter and the comics, but I felt Siege's and Elie's confrontation is important enough to keep.

Also although I said I might do multiple chapters a day everytime I work on 'Rave Master Naruto' and "Blue Plague's Nine-Tail Fox's Son: The Survival' I'm going to try to stop after I post four chapters each day. Which is a good thing, because tomorrow I'm going to continue to work on what I like to call 'one of the headaches of trying to read 'The Blue Plague' books into the crossover, because like Sieg and Elie's confrontation, this headache actually is important to the series as it helps the readers understand the virus and infected.
