Now Lads and Lassies on to the story
Chapter 2 Retrieving the power
"Since we have the time can somebody fill us in on what happened and why Angela is here in the command center." Jason all but demanded.
"I brought her here she is to become a member of this team as all of you once did." Zordon said silencing them on the matter.
"So what happened out there?" Trini asked catching eye contact with the six rangers that just returned from battle but landed on Tommy.
"We aren't sure exactly, but if my calculations are correct our zords experienced a power flux and with all of the attacks coming at us simultaneously it was to much to handle and as a result we were stripped of our powers along with the zords exploding." explained the resident genius of the group.
"What brought you guys back from the peace conference anyway?" Rocky asked
"We got a strange feeling something bad happened and decided to come home and investigate." Zack explained.
"You guys came home because of a feeling?" Adam asked stunned by Zack's revelation.
"Rangers prepare to teleport to the planet Phadoes." Zordon said.
"Be careful my young friends there are many dangers along the road to your new powers." Alpha-5 said.
Shortly after the five familiar words from Zordon they were teleported out.
Meanwhile on the moon
"Who is that creature that attacked the Power Rangers." Zedd demanded to know.
Before anyone could answer or waver a guess the palace shook. A black flash of light signaled the arrival of an intruder.
"Zedd who is that?" Rita asked
"I am the rightful ruler of Eltar and your incompetence has reached new heights therefore I am stripping you of the powers that you've squandered you can stay here as my henchmen or I can simply eradicate you now." Zordetta explained.
"What good would we be without the power we had." Zedd asked to which Rita perked up to hear the answer.
"You will have power just not in the amount you are use to. Rita you will be my Sorceress with powers over the elements, as for you Zedd you will be my right hand, my head general and this will be yours." Zordetta said as she handed him a evil looking version of Excalibur.(Basically from tip to hilt was black with a silver handle and a ruby in the middle of the end of the handle.)
"Now it is time to pled your allegiance to me." She stated
"We pled our allegiance to you oh great one." Zedd and Rita said from bended knee. She then blasted the throne and it shattered into pieces
"Now time to bring my ship inside" she said as she raised her hands and the ship began to travel inside and take the place of Zedd's former throne.
With the rangers
They arrive on the beach and immediately saw bones littered the sand.
"Where do we go?" Aisha asked
"You know we should have asked for a map." Rocky said.
"Why don't we get off the beach and see of we can get a sense of where to go." Trini said
"Good idea." Tommy said
The ten of them moved in land to look for any kind of sign. Looking around they see a jungle off in the distance.
"Guys lets go toward the jungle." Billy said
"Billy's right it will give us the needed shade from the suns." Kimberly said
Moving toward the jungle Zack is faced with a very familiar fear when a Phadosian snake slithered passed him causing him to scream like a little girl and jumped into Jason's arms. Screaming "We can't fight something like that." as he jumped
"Zack calm down its just a snake." Jason said
"Just a snake huh!" Zack repeated as he put his feet back on the ground.
All of a sudden the snake stood up becoming a humanoid "Greetings travelers how may I be of service?" It said
Tommy moving forward approached the being "Who are you?, lets start there." he said getting a little to close for the being's comfort.
"You ungrateful brat." he said as he swept Tommy off his feet and vanished.
"Great now what?" Angela asked
On the moon
Zordetta sat on her throne that her ship transformed into contemplating what her next move was.
"With the rangers gone there is nobody to defend the planet." Zedd explained
"What is your point Zedd." Zordetta snarled.
"We can destroy the earth" Rita said
"Go ahead have your fun." Zordetta said. As the two left Rito emerged from the shadows and asked "Your actually letting them attack now?" he asked.
"Are you questioning my leadership?" she asked
"No mistress I would never." Rito said as he backed away.
Down on Earth everyone was running in terror. Zedd and Rita were reeking havoc. With nobody there to stop them. Laughing his sinister laugh Zedd announced "Victory is such a sweet sweet melody." Oh yes my wicked husband.
"Rita agreed as she opened up the earth to form a giant size creator in the middle of the park.
Meanwhile on Phadoes
The rangers finally reached the jungle like area they seen before walking in the shaded area they seen the boney remains of the dinosaurs that once ruled the earth.
"Welcome to Jurassic park." Adam said
"Looks more like the elephant graveyard from Lion king Adam." said Zack
"Would both of you shut up I don't feel like running from dinosaurs or hyenas." Aisha said.
Just then movements caught the eyes of Trini, Kimberly, Billy, & Adam.
"Did you guys see that?" Trini said
"See Wha... Jason tried to say but was cut off by a tailwhip from the Triceratops skeleton. Which caused the others to spring into action only they didn't know what to do. They dodged the advancing dinosaur's attacks. When Jason returned to his feet there was another dinosaur that came to life.
"Guys we have another problem" He said
"Just great, now there is two of them." Angela said
They continued to dodge and duck the attacks when the only visible rangers were Trini & Kimberly who were chased in different directions both getting trapped by the advancing dinosaur skeletons. Trini ran into a thicket followed by the stegosaurus while Kimberly rant into a giant ribcage of a fossil followed by the Triceratops.
"Jason!" Trini yelled as Kimberly yelled for Tommy
Once the ear splitting scream was heard the two sprang into action to save their girlfriends. Tommy grabbed a short stick and began to beat around on the fossil while Jason grabbed a rock and threw it at the stegosaurus fossil. The two fossils turned their attention is the offending attackers, The Triceratops backed up and used its head to knock Tommy down while Jason again received a tailwhip.
"Stega! Tricia! Be still my lovely." came a strange female voice.
The group slowly gravitated back together. Tommy stepped forward in order to introduce himself. Before he could say anything.
"I know who you are white ranger." she said
"How do you know who we are?" Rocky asked
"My name is Dulcea and I am an alley to your mentor, why did he send you here?" Dulcea explained then asked.
"We were attacked by some strange bag of bones and squid like putties. Once we took the fight to new heights we experienced laser blast along with battling with the creatures and the combination caused us to be stripped of our powers as well our zords exploded" Billy explained. Shocked Dulcea whispered "Zordetta" however the rangers heard her.
"Who's Zordetta?" asked Tommy.
"Zordon hasn't mentioned her?" Dulcea asked.
"No he hasn't ever mentioned her to us before." Aisha answered.
"She is ruthless and will stop at nothing to conquer as many galaxy's as possible." Dulcea explained.
"Well that explains what she wants but not who she is or what we can do about it." Zack said
"She is Zordon's sister and yo must follow me if we don't hurry your planet is doomed." Dulcea said as she started walking. Following quickly to not get lost again they left the shaded area.
Meanwhile at the command center Alpha was walking around repairing the consoles were the morphin grid had over loaded.
"Alpha I feel the presence of another Eltarian within the galaxy." Zordon explained
"Who could that be?" asked Alpha-5
"My sister" was all Zordon said before he went quiet for meditation.
On the moon
"Yes dear brother I'm here and you will loose this time." Zordetta said
Flashback
On Eltar two people stood swords drawn.
"It didn't have to come to this sister." Zordon shouted
"You should have followed me when you had the choice." Zordetta shouted back
"We we meant for greatness father explained to both of us our destiny." Zordon said
"I choose my destiny not that incessant old fool." she shot back as she charged her brother.
Swords clashed and they struggled for position. Knowing her brother would have the upper hand if it was kept to a sword battle she did the only thing she could she kicked out only for Zordon to sidestep and kicked low to drop his sister to the ground.
"Do you yield my dear sister?" Zordon asked with his sword at her throat.
"Yes dear brother you win the battle." Zordetta said
When he banished his powersword she made her move only to be kicked back to the ground.
"You will be taken to the capital for judgement." Zordon said as he wrapped cuffs around her wrists
End Flashback.
"He will pay for betraying me." Zordetta said
Back on Phadoes
The rangers reached the plateau.
"Form a circle around the firepit, Rangers you were all hand picked by Zordon to hold the powers I have faith in his wisdom." Dulcea explained
"What are we doing here?" asked Angela
"All in good time Angela, buried deep inside all of us lives an animal spirit only those with great potential actually find out and fully connect with their animal spirit. Look deep inside yourselves and find your spirit animal." Dulcea instructed as she sprinkled some magic dust over the firepit causing the spirits to find their human mates. As the ninjetti robes appeared on them Dulcea walked over to stand in front of Aisha
"Bold & Brave you are the Bear." she stepped in front of Zack
"Swift & Limber you are the Rabbit." she then stepped in front of Rocky, "
"Mighty & Comedic you are the Ape." Stepping next in front of Angela
"Steady & Strong you are the Tortoise." Moving next to stand in front of Billy
"Silent & Sure you are the wolf." Moving along to stand in front of Trini
"Cunning & Swift you are the Cheetah" then she stepped in front of Adam
"Courageous & Shy you are...
"A Frog" Adam said in question
"Yes a Frog like the one you kiss and get a handsome prince." Dulcea said
Next in line was Jason "Strong & Wize you are the Wolverine." she said .
Moving this time to stand between Kimberly and Tommy
"The Wing Lord & Lady of the sky. Kimberly you are the Crane, Agile & Graceful." she explained and then turned her attention to Tommy you are the Falcon Just & Able." She finished.
"Wow this is awesome I've never felt anything like this." Angela said
"Calm down young Tortoise you all must complete a few test to acquire your full powers." Dulcea informed the team.
"What kind of tests are we going to endure?" Billy asked
"You will walk through the maze in the Neola Jungle and that will be individual test. Once those test are complete you will arrive back here at the monolith." Dulcea explained.
"Your not coming with Dulcea?" questioned Kimberly
"I'm afraid I can not I'm not aloud past this plateau, you must do this on your own." she answered the young crane.
At the dissatisfied looks on their faces "Your spirit animals will be your guide, trust them and may the power protect you." she said as she transformed into a white owl and flew off.
"We will rest here and head for the maze in the daylight." Tommy said.
Back on earth
Zedd and Rita had been terrorizing everyone & everything up and down the coast and slowly getting bored due to not having anything to fight against.
"This was fun when we started but now its just old." Rita said
"I know what you mean this would be more interesting if there was someone to fight back not run away in fear." Zedd explained.
Zordetta appeared beside them "Yo should return to the palace." she said
"Why should we there is nobody to stand in our way." Rita said
"We can plan our battle strategy in depth and everyone can be on the same page." Zordetta stated
"Yes mistress." Zedd said bowing before her
The three returned to the moon were they entered the war room.
"Rito!" What are you doing here?" Rita asked.
"Who are you and how do you know me?" Rito asked
Before Rita could utter another word Zordetta interrupted
"We are here to go over our battle plans and I would like to think you understand I will enforce my leadership." she said
"Yes mistress" they all said in unison
"My foolish brother thinks he hid their trip to Phadoes, but I felt them leave Earth." Zordetta explained.
"What's our next plan of attack?" Goldar asked
"You will be patient and follow the orders and not ask questions, Pawn!" Zordetta said venom dripping from her voice.
"Yes my empress as you command." Goldar said cowering.
Back on Phadoes
Standing on the plateau each ranger found a strange glow off in the distance. Each glowing light matched the color of the rangers.
"Its Time." Tommy said
Without another word all ten of the now ninja dressed rangers walked toward the glowing orbs of light. As they approached the Neola jungle they notice that each orb of light is in different areas of the jungle.
"Tommy this must be the test that Dulcea mentioned." Billy said trying to quickly assess the situation.
"I suggest we split into two teams and break off as the orbs separate." Aisha suggested.
"Sounds like our best option so the colors that look to be the closest group together." Kimberly offered.
"I agree with Kim." Jason said.
"My only concern is Angela she's our newest team member, are you ready for this?" Zack stated then turned and asked.
"Did you guys have all the answers your first battle?" Angela asked.
"No out first encounter was trial and error." Trini said.
"Then please give me the same opportunity." she replied.
"She's right you guys and the longer we stay here talking the sun will start setting." Adam said
"Adam's right you guys we need to split up and complete the tasks before us." Tommy said in finality ending the conversation and causing everyone to look at the sky to notice the orbs and their general location. Adam, Rocky, Trini, Zack & Angela's orbs were gathered in the left side while Jason, Billy, Aisha, Kimberly, & Tommy's orbs were on the right. The teens split into two groups of five taking off in the directions of the orbs. Walking through the Neola Jungle they find their first point of separation from the smaller group. Having faced her dear of heights Trini had no trouble splitting away from the group to climb to find her orange orb. Standing in her way was none other than the praying mantis.
"What are you doing here we destroyed you already." she said.
"If you want your power orb you will have to defeat me again." the mantis said and then lunged at the orange clad ninja. Reacting on pure instinct Trini jumped over the mantis and with the speed of a cheetah kicked it in the back causing the mantis to stumble forward. Not willing to admit defeat the mantis turned and charged Trini with his claws swinging in a scissor motion. Unfortunately for Trini it grabbed her but before it could do any damage she brought her arms down and pushed out forcing the claws away she then placed a kicking the monsters mid-section knocking it off the landing where she found the orb. After defeating the monster the orb glowed bright and joined with Trini causing her to morph into the orange Power suit. She was then instantly teleported back to the plateau.
Across the jungle Jason broke away from his group to follow the path to his golden orb. After working his way through the large bush to find the pipebrain monster standing in his way.
"Foolish gold ranger you won't defeat me so easily this time." said the monster.
"We will just see about that pipehead." Jason said before he leaped into a corkscrew kick, connecting with the pipebrain monster's chest. Returning to its feet quickly and using it's tentacles to wrap around Jason lifting him off the ground. Patiently Jason closed his eyes and focused on the strength inside him and his spirit animal. He swung his arms up and back down with ghost images of wolverine claws around his hands he sliced right threw the tentacles holding him. Pipebrain then charged and knocked Jason off his feet.
"Now I have you right were I want you." he said as he approached the downed ranger before he could capitalize Jason brought his foot up up and kicked pipebrain in the chest causing him to fall into the group of trees and disintegrated. Jason then stood up and grabbed ahold of the gold orb instantly morphing into the gold power suit and teleporting back to the plateau.
Zack was walking along with the rest of his group when he found the green light orb appear closer he broke away from the group. floating in mid air he walked closer to notice it was in the center of a spider web. "Oh great another giant bug." Zack said. "Welcome to your doom green ranger." The wicked spider said. Zach quickly went into a defensive stance. The spider shot its web at Zack. He dodged the web blast and attempted a spin kick which connected. The spider flew through the air and hit the rock pillar and then vanished. Zack grabbed the green orb not wasting any time. Then he morphed into his power suit and was teleported to the plateau.
Billy was lost in thoughts when he seen a bright blue glow. Following the glow he found a familiar face in Madam Woe. "We meet again blue ranger this time will not be like the last." Madam Woe said. Acting quickly Billy leaped in the air reaching for Madam Woe's Crystal he was quickly blocked and throwed back. She attacked the blue ninja only for him to slip under her advancing arms and popping up behind Madam Woe reaching around to grab her crystal and crushed it to destroy her again.
Angela was in conversation with Rocky when she saw her color orb glow in the sky very close. he wondered away toward the glow as if it called to her. Rocky turned to say something an noticed she was gone.
"Well she could have said bye." he said but Adam was to far away to hear him.
After walking through trees & bushes Angela spotted two things. Her orb glowing silver and a gold clad figure in her way.
"Ha fool you weren't even good enough to be chosen the first time." Scorpina said
"Maybe not but Zordon has seen my potential and hand picked me to join the ranks of the power team, so either shut up and fight or get out of my way so I may grab my power orb thingy." Angela shot back. Scorpina charged the "mouthy brat" only for Angela to duck and follow up with a well placed kick to Scorpina's back sending the villainess to the ground.
"Lucky shot bitch , but you won't land another one." Scorpina said. As she returned to her feet.
"Bring it on you ain't nothing." Angela said. Scorpina threw her stingerang only for Angela to duck causing the sword to strike a tree effectively cutting it down and fall in their direction. Quickly Angela dove out of the path of the tree. Scorpina tried outrunning the tree only to be trampled by the top branches giving Angela the time to grab her silver orb. She then morphed into her power suit and was teleported back to the plateau.
At the plateau Trini, Jason, Zack & Billy sat in silent meditation when a silver beam of teleportation appeared. Dulcea returned to the plateau moments after.
"I see that half of you have completed your task." she said.
"What happens now?" Jason asked.
"You must be patient and wait for your friends, I'm very proud of you rangers you have done very well and should return home before another attack." Dulcea said then disappeared into the sky in her owl form.
Aisha was lost in conversation with Kimberly when her yellow glow caught her eye.
"Kim I got to go." Aisha said before running off into the deeper part of the jungle. Leaping over exposed roots and ducking branches she felt it get a little warmer.
"Burn fire burn!" Flamehead said off in the distance. Aisha instinctively followed the voice while unknowingly following the glow of the orb.
"Hey you time t put you out, power of the bear." Aisha said
"Puny ranger you have no power here." Flamehead growled out and shot a fireball at Aisha. Reacting quickly she ducked and rolled toward the fire starting vilian. As she stood she caught sight of the one thing that could help her all she had to do was reach it. Before she could reach the spring water she was met with a knee to the stomach flipping over the knee with the momentum she put herself closer to the stream. As soon as the yellow bear ninja landed Flamehead knew she messed up as she turned to catch a wet waterfilled hollow log as the water splashed on the monster, causing it to sizzle out. Walking over to her floating orb she grabbed it then morphed and teleported back to the plateau to join Trini, Jason, Zack, Angela, and Billy.
Rocky & Adam saw their colors glow in similar direction. The two of them took off running toward the glowing orbs. Right as they were to reach the orbs they were cut off by the Pachinko machine and Goldar again holding the mirror of regret.
"Adam remember you beat the mirror once, you can do it again." Rocky said
"Thanks Rocko and remember sometimes you have be serious." Adam advised. The two went for the foes and Adam immediately fell to his knees feeling helpless and hopeless. While Rocky was fighting the Pachinko Machine. It was going well for Rocky until he heard the whimper come out of his best friend. When he looked over to him Pachinko head took advantage of the situation and knocked Rocky to the ground.
Adam was watching the battle with Rito and in this version of the battle he was at fault for everything that went wrong.
"No that's not how it happened." Adam whimpered out. Rocky spin kicked Pachinko head into the pillar behind it causing it to disintegrate.
"Adam fight back." Rocky said just before the red orb glowed.
"Go I'll be right behind you." Adam said as another image showed him with the team defeating several monsters thus boosting his confidence allowing him to stand and jump kick the mirror making it so it couldn't be used against him or his team again. Once his orb glowed he and Rocky grabbed their respective orbs and morphed then teleported to the plateau.
Tommy & Kimberly were approaching the edge of the jungle when out of nowhere the Terroir Toad & Turban Shell showed up however behind them was the white & pink orbs respectively. Tommy jumped right into action followed by Kimberly each landing their initial strike. The monsters retaliated quickly with attacks of their own. Terroir Toad wrapped its tounge around Kimberly's ankles and pulled her feet out from under her. While Turban Shell launched in Tommy's direction and shell knocked him to the ground ( same way he did in green no more part 2) Infuriated Tommy flipped back to his feet and began a series of kicks and punches that forced Turban shell to back peddle Kimberly recovered and flopped over the Terror Toad. Kicking the monster toward Turban Shell. Allowing her and Tommy to regroup. The two monsters charged the couple only to get kicked back. The couple was able to use the combined laser power against the two and cause them to disintegrated. The two orbs glowed reaching out the two morphed and joined the rest of their friends at the plateau. Dulcea appeared once more to send the Rangers home to earth.
