Hello to all my readers I'm back with another chapter I hope you enjoy this story. I'm sorry that it has been so long with some recent updates.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything that you recognize, there are a couple of original characters that are mine. The story itself was a brainchild of someone very special to me and she has given me. I have snuck in a couple of my own original characters. I hope you all enjoy this chapter and without further adue on to the story.
Chapter 4
Once Goldar & Scorpina disappeared with Tommy, Kimberly, & Jason the putties and tengas returned to the lunar palace.
"What's with the retreat?" Zack asked. As the remaining rangers regrouped
"I'm not sure, they had us out-numbered and they just retreated like that." Aisha said
"Where is Jason?" Angela asked.
"Yeah and Tommy and Kimberly?" Trini questioned
"We need to return to the command center." Rocky stated
Meanwhile at the lunar palace
The three captive rangers were thrown in the dungeon.
"You will wait here until our queen wishes to see you." Goldar snarled.
"Let's us out of here!" Kimberly yelled.
"No chance of the pinky." Scorpina said.
"What do you want with us?" Tommy asked as he approached the bars.
"Tommy don't touch those bars." Jason warned
"Stay put." Goldar said
"Its not like they can go anywhere Goldar." Scorpina said.
"Goldar, Scorpina get in here." Zordetta yelled.
Entering the throneroom they find an army of skullbots ready to attack earth. Zordetta was standing by the balcony with Zedd & Rita bowing in front of the empress of evil. She was just about to speak when a purple light entered the palace through the balcony opening. When the light dimmed Ivan Ooze appeared.
"Ivan, what are you doing here." Zordetta asked.
"I've come to inform you that your family home is gone." Ivan stated.
"What do you mean?" Zordetta asked
"Your ultimate goal was to once return to Eltar and rule the planet as your family did right?" Ivan questioned.
"Yeah that is my goal after I deal with my foolish brother and his band of misfits. What did you have to tell me?" she asked.
"Your family home was destroyed in the battle with the Zelecs." Ivan explained.
"So there is no home for me to go back to?" she asked her rage growing.
Unknowing to the two of them Zedd glanced at Rita at the mention of his home planets army.
"Mistress, what is your plan with the three rangers in the dudgeon?" Rita inquired.
"We will bend them to our will." she stated darkly.
"How do we do that?" Zedd asked.
"That's simple, we will use the great runes of evil the only way to break the spell if to purify the rune and that is a very difficult to accomplish." Rito informed.
"Were do we find those runes empress?" Scorpina asked
"They are found in the deepest parts of Jupiter's second moon, were evil grows strongest." Zordetta explained
"Should we send some putties to collect the runes my queen?" Zedd asked.
"NO we shall send Scorpina with Rito between the two of them they should return with the three we need." Zordetta exclaimed.
"When do we leave my queen?" Rito asked. Without saying another word she waved her hand and the two henchmen disappeared.
Meanwhile back at the command center.
"Zordon we have some terrible news." Adam said once they landed.
"I am aware of the situation rangers." Zordon explained.
The sensors blared quickly but went silent quickly but went silent seconds later.
"What's going on?" Trini asked
"Our sensors picked up two beings leaving the moon just moments ago." Alpha 5 stated.
"Were are they headed?" Rocky wondered.
"I'll scan for them using the viewing globe." Billy suggested as he stepped toward the computer console.
"How much worse could this get?" Angela whispered as she stepped closer to Zack.
"Its been bad before but we found a way to overcome the odds then and we will find one now." Zack said.
"We also have to find Tommy, Jason, & Kimberly" Aisha reminded.
"All looks quiet in Angel Grove." Billy said.
" Can you locate our friends Billy?" Trini asked
"I'll try to lock onto their communicators and teleport them back here." Billy said.
With Rito and Scorpina
They landed near a cave with red glowing rocks around the entrance.
"This must be the right place seems evil around here." Rito said as a strange ghostly red skull floated away from the depths fo the cave.
"Who dears darken my doorway." came a raspy voice from inside the cave.
"I'm Rito Revolto on a mission from the great mistress Zordetta to find the runes of evil." Rito explained after introducing himself, as Scorpina stood silent just nodding in agreement.
"What do you want with the runes, your already evil." the voice asked.
"We have three purified souls we wish to corrupt." Scorpina informed
"You may take three runes of your choosing, I suggest that you choose wisely because they will only corrupt particular hosts." said the voice in warning.
"How do we know which runes to choose?" Rito asked
"You are corrupting power rangers?" asked the voice.
"Yes, how did you know?' Scorpina wondered
"Perhaps I should introduce myself I am Renjah brother of the master warrior of Phadoes, and I believe these runes should work nicely for the three you have captured." Renjah suggested handing them the rune of hatred, the rune of betrayal, and the rune of despair.
"Once you give the to the to the correct host they shall glow the color of its markings." Renjah explained.
"Sounds good to me." Rito said
"We should return to the palace and connect them to their host." Scorpina said
They teleport away leaving Renjah to watch over the rest of the runes.
In the dungeon
The three of them sat waiting while everything they tried to escape led nowhere.
"Man we've got to get out of here." Tommy stated
"Yeah your right but we have already tried everything and it doesn't seem the rest of our team has come up with anything either." Jason said feeling as if they are trapped.
"Guys Billy will find a way to get us home, he hasn't failed us before and he won't this time i have faith that he will come up with something to get us out of here." Kimberly said
"Yeah your right Beautiful, but how long do you think we have been here." Tommy said
Before anyone else could say a word Zordetta appeared at the door of the cell.
"On your feet rangers, you are needed in the throne room." she ordered
"What if we choose not to go to the throne room?" Tommy asked.
She answered by shocking them all "Does that answer your question white falcon.
"Don't say another word because I do not want to be shocked again." Kimberly said.
"Listen to her boys because at the end of my fingertips I hold amazing powers. I have no problem blasting you three brats into space." Zordetta said.
"To the throne room Now!" Zordetta shouted as electricity crackled at her fingertips (Think of Emperor in return of the Jedi) Fear was the only thing showing on their faces. Rather than risk another round of shock punishment they decide to follow Zordetta to the throneroom.
Back at the command center with the others
Billy is working to find their friends still not able to break through the defenses at the lunar palace.
"I don't understand I was able to lock onto Jason's communicator when he was in the dark dimension, but I can't seem to find either signal." He said worry evident in his voice that he can't find a way to help his friends.
"Don't worry Billy we will find a way to rescue them." Aisha said
"What about your molecular decoders ?" asked Zack
"We scrapped those to make the weapon we used against the Sal iguana remember." Trini reminded.
"So we are back to square one." Adam said bummed that they haven't come up with a rescue plan.
"Rangers you must not give up we will find them." Zordon said
"But how everything we have tried came back unsuccessful." Angela stated the truth in her words hit them all like a ton of bricks what would happen if they don't find a way to find their friends.
"Why would they want to capture them?" Zack wondered
"I'm afraid your going to find out sooner than you want to Zachary." Zordon.
"What do you mean Zordon." Rocky asked while the others gasped as they watched the viewing globe.
Moments before on the moon
Rito & Scorpina returned to the lunar palace with the runes in a box.
"Empress we have returned with the great runes of evil." Rito said as he bowed to his master.
"Excellent Rito. now Goldar! get in here." she yelled.
Goldar entered the throneroom to find Rito & Scorpina had returned.
"The next phase of my wicked plan begins, with these runes the host will be as obedient as a well trained dog." Zordetta explained.
Zedd then entered pulling a chain behind him that lead to Tommy, Kimberly, & Jason.
"Come stand before me." Zordetta said Rito, Goldar,& Scorpina moved toward her.
"Not you morons!, You three come stand here." she ordered.
"What if we don't want to? Tommy asked. Zedd then turned and punched him in the gut.
"You don't have a choice white ranger you will do as your told." Zedd snarled
Before anything else could be said they were drug over to stand before Zordetta
"Rito open the box." she said.
Doing as she ordered Rito opened the box to reveal the runes of great evil. The rune of hatered glowed a deep red which caught Jason's eyes. The rune of betrayal glowed a dark pink that caught Kimberly's eyes. The rune of despair glowed a dark green which caught Tommy by surprise however he couldn't look away. They were magically drawn to the runes.
"With these runes you will be empowered as well as listen to my orders, Your first order is to destroy the power rangers." Zordetta informed as Rito, Goldar, & Scorpina slipped the runes around their necks.
"Yes mistress." they said in unison as they bowed to her.
"Go now and don't return until it is finished." she ordered.
They obeyed and teleported down to earth, and began destroying everything in sight.
Back at the command center
Shocked eyes watched as the uniforms they thought destroyed terrorized the town they once protected.
"I can't believe this" Trini said.
"The last time we fought one evil ranger we almost failed, now we have three to deal with." Zack said fear in his eyes.
"Guys we have to go protect Angel Grove." Adam said.
"Be careful rangers we will study the battle and see if there are any weakness." Alpha-5 said
"Go and may the power protect you" Zordon said
After morphing and teleporting to the park they find themselves across the field from their friends.
"Guys snap out of it your the heroes not villains." Rocky said
"You pathetic fools are no match for us, you are bound by your humanity." Jason's voice came out dripping with venom.
"Enough talking attack." Tommy ordered.
The fight was on and much like his first battle against the ranger Tommy waisted no time reminding them of how powerful he is. Jason jumped into battle against Rocky, Zack & Trini. Kimberly took the high ground and with her power bow she fired upon the rangers keeping them at a distance from Tommy and Jason. Tommy pulled out his repowered dragon dagger and blasted the rangers knocking them off of their feet. Just after they returned to their feet Jason rushed through them slashing with his power sword of old. Reacting quickly Rocky pulled out his power sword to battle Jason, catching the sword slash against his own sword just before it swiped him off his feet.
"Jason, you have to remember all the good." Rocky said.
"There will be one true red ranger." Jason snarled and swiftly parried and slashed Rocky acrossed his chest. Kimberly took this time to fire multiple arrows at the rangers. While they were recovering Tommy charged through the group of rangers slashing each of them until he came to Aisha she blocked him with her power daggers in a crossed blade downward motion. Unfortunately for her she was hit with an arrow fired by Kimberly.
"Guys we should regroup." Adam said as he struggled to his feet while holding his chest.
"To the command center." Rocky said
"That's right rangers run back to Zordon." Tommy said as they teleported away.
"Now we return to destroying Angel Grove." Jason suggested.
"No." came Zedds voice.
"What do you mean No!" Tommy asked
"You've caused them to retreat which is great but you are the only ones that have the ability to follow them to their base of operations." Zedd explained.
"I don't feel that is a good idea." Jason said
"What would you know about good ideas after all you left the fight to join the peace conference anyway Jason." Tommy snapped
"Well at least my powers have been the same the whole time." Jason barked back.
"Boys that's not going to help, we should be a united force." Kimberly.
"Oh miss flower power thinks we are a team, well I work better alone." Tommy said
"Return to the palace the queen has requested your presents which is why I'm here." Zedd stated. The four then returned to the lunar palace.
Back at the command center
"That was brutal, we couldn't even get close enough to scratch them." Rocky said.
"It doesn't help that they are our better strategists and one can sit back and fires her arrows at us while the other two attack us on the ground." Aisha explained.
"I'm just curious why thy are in those suits and not our new suits." Zack wondered
"Did you guys notice the glow around their neck." Angela asked.
"What glow?" Alph-5 asked.
"The glow seemed to match their current suit color." Trini added.
"Rangers were there any kind of stones with strange markings around their necks?" Zordon asked
"I didn't notice anything other than the glow." Angela said
"Is there a way to scan them for abnormal power surges or something like that." Adam asked.
"I might be able to come up with something to scan them for dark power I just have to get back to my lab to do so." Billy said
"I can assist you." Trini said
"I'll help were I can." offered Adam.
"Why don't the rest of us go to the youth center and you contact us when your ready." Zack said.
The rangers teleport out of the command center. Billy, Trini, & Adam landed in his garage and started working on the scanner. The others landed in the park and started walking toward the youth center. Along the way they ran into Bulk and Skull.
"Hey guys have you seen what happened earlier?" Skull asked.
"What are you talking about?" Rocky asked in return
"Three rangers attacked downtown." Bulk said
"What's strange is the green ranger was back and he hasn't been seen in almost two years." Skull said.
"Looks like the rangers showed up and took care of them." Zack said
"We really should be off the youth center." Aisha said.
"Be careful with the green ranger around again." Bulk said
"They all went their separate ways the rangers to the youth center and Bulk & Skull around the park for patrol.
Around an hour later Zack & Rocky were sparring when their communicators beeped. Gathering together by the lockers they answered
"What's going on?" Rocky said.
"We have the scanner ready can you guys meet at the park?"
"Yeah be there in a bit." Rocky replied
Meanwhile on the moon
"You three did wonderful in your first battle, now you need to continue with their destruction." Zordetta said in praise of her new henchmen.
"You want us to crush the power rangers now." Jason asked.
"Now would be the best time to strike, after all the rangers are sitting there just like bait for a hungry lion." Tommy said
"What are we waiting for?" Kimberly demanded.
"Go and destroy them." Zordetta said.
Taking the orders they teleported down to earth. The three arrived to find the group of rangers sitting around the park.
"Hello rangers!" Tommy said
The rangers jumped up and into a defensive position only to find Jason behind them.
"How nice of you to join us." he said
The runes glowed bright and Billy waisted no time in scanning Tommy really quickly to reveal the evil residing around his neck.
"Were is Kimberly?" Aisha asked
"Don't worry she will join us soon." Jason said.
"Its morphin Time" Rocky called moments later they all stood in their Ranger suits ready for battle.
"You really think you can handle us even though you outnumber us we are still more powerful than you are." Tommy snarled
"Billy get those scans back to the command center for testing." Zack said.
Just before he leaped into the air to perform a corkscrew kick to Jason knocking the former leader away from the other rangers. Adam followed his lead and rushed toward Tommy with his blade blaster drawn but when he reached the green ranger he was blasted with an arrow. Trini followed the path of the arrow and threw her blade blaster at the pink ranger. Dodging the blow and loosing her balance in the tree she fell to the ground. The three female rangers surrounded her quickly.
Leaving Adam, Rocky,& Zack to deal with Jason & Tommy. Zack & Jason seemed to be in a slow motion dance, (due to the years of training together they seem to know each others moves.)
While Adam & Rocky doubled their efforts in the fight against Tommy. Meanwhile Billy turned the scanner over to Alph-5 & Zordon then quickly rejoined his friends in battle.
"Trini what do we do she hasn't moved since she landed on the ground." Aisha asked.
Angela stepped closer to study the rune around Kimberly's neck.
"The glow is dimming, what do you think that means." Angela asked the two other females around her.
Rocky& Adam double teamed Tommy and with the combined attacks of the power sword & Power axe they were able to disarm the green ranger. Tommy then charged the two of them only to get double kicked that caused him to fall backwards. Jason was doing his best to attack Zack & Billy who we evading his attacks well. Jason charged at them only to run into a kick from Zack followed by a slashing strike by Billy.
"Rangers" Zordon called from their communicators. Rocky having time to answer.
"What is it Zordon?" he asked
"Remove the stones and the spell should be broken." Zordon answered.
"We will do our best." Zack replied when he noticed Jason had not moved since Billy's attack.
