Hello to all my readers sorry for the slow update but here is my newest chapter. Now lads and lassies on with the story
Chapter 5
"We will do our best Zordon." Rocky replied.
Angela took that as her cue to remove the rune from around Kimberly's neck. Followed quickly by Adam removing the rune from Tommy's neck, while Zack removed the rune from Jason's neck. The moment the necklaces were removed they powered down. No change in their current condition of unconsciousness.
"Zordon we have removed the necklaces but they still aren't waking up." Zack said
"Return to the command center at once we will run scans on them to figure their condition and how to approach the situation." Zordon replied
"Guys prepare to teleport, To the command center" Rocky said assuming the temporary leader role since both the former and current leader were unable to.
As the group disappears they miss the flashes emanating from the three runes.
Meanwhile on the moon.
"The rangers have fallen right into my trap." Zordetta stated sounding uncharacteristically pleased.
"What's the next phase of the plan mistress?" Zedd asked.
"All in good time we are waiting for the instructions and more allies to arrive with my next shipment of Skullbots." Zordetta explained.
"What are you waiting on mistress?" Rita questioned.
"I've found what the earthlings call myths, they are very powerful and will only add to the growing problem for my pathetic brother and his band of misguided misfits." Zordetta explained.
"That sounds like an excellent plan mistress, our guest has arrived" Rito informed as he entered the room catching her last explanation."
"Escort them to our war-room, then go inform Finster his presents is requested in there." she ordered her slave.
Zordetta then made her way to the war-room."
"Do you wish us to follow?" Rita asked her master.
"No, you will know when you need to and at the time you need to." Zordetta snapped just before she entered the door to the war-room.
"She really gets my blood boiling when she treats us like we are her pawns." Rita stated
"Soon my little sour apple we will rule this palace and earth." Zedd stated to his wife."
"So you found him" she whispered
"We will discuss how, and when after he arrives, you understand we may be doing this alone." Zedd explained quietly.
"We can discuss this later in our quarters." Rita softly said.
Meanwhile inside the war-room
"Mother, how was your trip?" Zordetta asked.
"You have asked for my help after your father outcast me, you asked me to bring these ridiculous creatures and some universal myths along with me, and you then ask how my trip was." Zandra snarled.
"I've turned three of Zordon's rangers and I'm hoping the monsters would handle the rest of them." Zordetta explained to her enraged mother.
"You dare speak that traitor's name in my presents? He shall be punished for what he and your father did to me all those years ago." Zandra snarled out venom dripping not only from her words but also her lips.
"So will you be staying and assisting in the fight against my delusional brother and his so called power rangers? Zordetta asked.
"Of course my child, I will be here to aid you however I can." Zandra stated.
Meanwhile back at the command center
"Alpha, you and Trini go to the medical bay to run test on the rangers." Zordon said.
"What should we do?" questioned Rocky.
"You should place those runes in this box." Zordon said as a black box appeared on the console. Following their mentors orders they placed the runes in the box.
"Now if legend is correct the runes will need to be purified." Zordon explained to his remaining young heroes
"How exactly do we do that?" Aisha questioned
"There are some key items you will need to gather for the purification process." Alpha 5 said as he returned to grab another scanner for Trini.
"What items will we need to purify the runes?" Adam asked
"You will need water from the river of life, sand from the dessert of despair and finally fire from the torch of sight. Once you gather all of these items you must stand together and as a team use your animal spirits to purify the runes." Zordon stated to the remaining seven members of his chosen team.
"So when do we leave to gather those items?" Angela asked eager to get the team back to full power and have all of her friends back to normal.
"I will send the three of you young ladies to gather those artifacts, you must hurry time is of great importance." Zordon explained
"When do we begin?" Trini asked in a determined tone as she entered the room.
"Grab the survivor packs and prepare to teleport." Alpha 5 said.
Trini, Aisha, and Angela walked to the medical bay to grab the packs they needed.
"You think we can do this quickly?" Aisha asked
"I certainly hope so." Trini said in response.
"I agree it would be nice to have our friends back to their usual selves. Not to mention the team back to full power." Angela added
Moments later the girls returned to the main chamber only to teleport out to their destination.
"May the power protect you" Zordon said just before they left in beams of yellow, orange, and silver.
"Good luck ladies" Zack said
Meanwhile on the moon
Zordetta and her mother were in the now empty throneroom.
"Those goodie to-shoes are trying to gather the artifacts needed to purify the runes of evil." Zordetta informed Zandra
"You must capitalize on the low numbers of the team." Zandra retorted.
"What do you suggest mother?" she asked
"You asked that I bring this with me" Zandra states holding the seeds for the hate master out toward her daughter.
"Throw those down to earth and say this incantation with me." she explained
Zordetta grabbed the seeds drew back her arm and threw them down to earth .Together they said "From the deepest darkness of eternal hate. From the moons of manta to the seas of demon tate." They finished in unison and down on earth the hate master grew from the seeds.
"You bring me life to fight the rangers of power. I'll do my best to make them cower." Hate master said.
Meanwhile back at the command center
The sirens blared indicating a monster attack in Angel Grove.
"What's going on?" Adam asked as the rest gathered in front of the viewing globe.
"Alpha scan for the disturbance and bring it up on the viewing globe" Zordon said
"Right away Zordon" said his trusted assistant. Moments later after hitting a few buttons the viewing globe came to life showing the newest threat.
"What is that?" Rocky shouted, forgetting for a second they were all grouped together.
"What your seeing is the dreaded hate-master" Zordon informed
"That sounds bad, like really bad" Zack said.
"Its not going to be easy rangers but we are the only chance earth has." Rocky said taking charge since he was the red ranger he was trying to live up to the legacy Jason left behind when he passed his power to Rocky almost a year ago.
"Guys we have to fight." Adam said
"Adam's right we have to fight" Billy said
"May the power protect you rangers." Zordon just before the remaining four rangers morphed and teleported out to battle the newest monster.
With the girls
the teleportation beams disappeared once they landed on the banks of the river of life. Digging into her messenger style bag Aisha grasped a water bottle.
"What are you waiting for" Trini asked her.
"How much water do we need?" Aisha asked in response.
"Just fill the bottle to be sure we have enough for the purification." Angela suggested.
Getting the nod of approval from Trini she moved to fill the bottle. Moments later Aisha shouted "I got it"
"Alright" Trini and Angela said in unison.
"What was the next place we needed to go?" Aisha asked her companions.
"How about the pits of hell?" came an eyry voice from behind the rangers. Turning they see the monster/henchman known as Rito.
"What do you want?" asked Angela as Trini &Aisha shifted into a fighting position.
"You three think you stand a chance against me?" Rito snarled as he shifted into a charging stance.
"Its time to show him what we're made of." Trini said
"Ninjetti power" they called
"Yellow bear" Aisha shouted
"Silver Tortoise." Angela bellowed
"Orange Cheetah" Trini called
"Oh you changed your clothes, am I suppose to get scared and run away?" Rito asked jokingly as he started to charge the females. Swiping his sword at them completely missing due to each of them dodging he three girls quickly went on the offensive they each kicked out soon Rito found himself being juggled by the kicks. He slammed his sword into the ground and spun using the handle to hold his weight as he extended his foot out to kick each o the rangers. Once they were on the ground he stood back to his feet. " Whoa that was a bad idea." he said as he grabbed his head.
Meanwhile in Angel Grove
The other rangers found the hate-master in the park terrorizing the citizen of the city.
"Hold it right there Hate-master." Adam said
"Ah rangers bout to be in danger." the monster stated
"Not as much as you are pal." Rocky shouted back.
Before anyone else could say a word the monster charged the rangers. The ranger soon found themselves on the ground. Grunting as he got to his feet Zack said "He really packs a punch."
"Yeah you can say that again." Rocky agreed."
"We have to find a way to defeat this monster" Adam added.
"Keep looking guys I know it seems impossible however we must not forfeit." Billy explained
As the tengas appeared with mini vacuums. The hate-master approached the rangers as the large bird joined him as he started explaining "you see my friends collected the dust from your feet I use what I need and throw the rest in the air now that I got it you will feel what is right for your fate. As the words sail into the air the rangers try to resist the feeling the words are bringing forth. Unfortunately they aren't able to keep the feelings from coming to the surface they demorph and are filled with hate towards each other.
Meanwhile back with girls
With a dizzy Rito the girls take the opportunity to attack again all connecting with a snap kick to his chest. Thinking now was the appropriate time to retreat Rito returned to the lunar palace neither knowing of the events that transpired at the park.
"Now that he is gone, lets get to our next location." Trini said as they ninja streak away to the next place leaving the river of life behind. They arrive to see a place looking eerily like their high school only run down an falling apart.
"Ok I'm officially creeped out." Angela said.
"Come on guys we have to find the torch to get a portion o the flame." Trini said
"Well I guess we don't have a choice." Aisha huffed not liking the look of their surroundings.
Above them raged a very nasty rain storm. Before they knew it the storm clouds let loose and it was pouring seconds later.
"Well either we get inside the creepy building or stay out here and keep getting soaked." Aisha said.
"Well staying dry is a better idea." Angela agreed.
Trini just started walking toward the building as her agreement with the plan.
Back in Angel Grove
"What are you looking at?" Adam asked
"Well I'll tell you as soon a I figure it out." Rocky replied.
"Oh yeah that's original but wait your not an original so I guess it's an ok comeback for the replacement Red ranger." Zack said
"At least I stayed once I became a ranger I didn't run off to escape the fight and join a peace conference Rocky said.
"We were selected to join we didn't choose to just up and leave." Zack replied
"Still took the opportunity to leave" Adam said
"Yet another replacement piping up when he wasn't asked." Zack said
"Replacement or better choice?" Adam fired back
"Would you three shut up hanging around you has actually made my intellect lower." Billy said just before he walked off.
Typical nerd speak up and run away." Rocky said
"You just don't like the fact that you don't contain the intelligence to argue on my level." Billy said as he turned to reply to Rocky's comment.
"Why don't you run off to conduct another experiment." Zack snapped
"The same reason you don't go impress Angela, Oh wait I can succeed with my experiments." Billy replied
Zack then lunged at Billy only to be stopped by the communicators.
"What do you want!" Adam said barking into the communicator.
"Return to the command center immediately." Zordon boomed through the communicator.
"Why should we listen to you?, your nothing but an inflated windbag of a head." Rocky snarled through the com-link.
"Maybe we should go if only to tell you were to take these powers" Zack said and for what seemed to be the last time for them they teleported to the command center.
Meanwhile up on the moon
" It appears the monster has done a good job infecting them with hate your highness." Rita said.
"Yes and I have my mother to thank for that." Zordetta said.
"Hello Zedd!" she said in a taunting voice.
"Hello Zandra" Zedd said coldly.
"Watch your tone servant." Zordetta warned.
The group became quiet for several moments until Rito appeared in the throneroom and walked over to where his mistress was.
"Where have you been?" Zordetta snapped
"I was fighting the female rangers or what's left to fight, they are on a quest to purify the three infected rangers." he explained as he bowed to his master.
"What! she bellowed just before she bounced up from her seat in her throneroom to move to the balcony. Does he really think they will find all the artifacts needed for that incantation." she continued.
"I left them at the river of life." Rito informed.
"You left them or you failed to stop them." Zandra said.
"I..I...Fa..Failed" Rito stuttered out.
"Then take Goldar and some skullbots to battle them again and this time you better not fail." Zordetta ordered
Back at the command center.
"You have been ordering us around far to long ." Zack said
"Yeah from no on you do your own dirty work. Adam said.
"We are done being your little puppets." Rocky said
"You can have your morphers, and the communicators, oh and good luck turning those three good again I'm finished with this and all of you leaches, always coming to me with your problems." Billy said.
"But your all friends." Alpha-5 said.
"Not anymore tin-man" Adam snarled.
Seconds later Billy stepped next to the console and pressed the series of buttons then teleported them out of the command center.
Back with the girls
After entering the school they started wondering the halls coming to nothing but dead ends. A little bit more searching they stop in front of th gymnasium. The light coming from the cracks around the door was not normal it appeared that a bonfire as in the gym.
"I'm guessing that's the flame of sight" Trini said as she stepped closer to the door.
"Not so fast powerbrats" Goldar growled.
Turning they see Goldar& Rito with a squad of skullbots beginning to surround them.
" You returned with help, huh Rito?" Aisha spat.
"Your never getting through that door! Attack" Goldar ordered.
The skullbots rushed the standing rangers only to be knocked down by an unseen force that emanated from behind the doors of the gymnasium. "You are not welcome here evil scum." A deep male voice stated.
The two henchmen chose to flea rather than risk confronting the unseen person that possesed such power. After they disappeared the three rangers turned toward the voice to find the physical form of what appeared to be a ranger, however none like they have ever seen before
"Who... Who are you?" Trini stuttered out trying to hide the fact she was nervous.
"I'm no threat to you or your friends Orange ranger." the stranger said
"How?" was all Aisha could get out before the stranger spoke again.
"I'm known as the Shadow Ranger but I'm not from this planet. I've been watching and studying you and your friends since meeting your green ranger on Phaedos." the shadow ranger stated.
"Your the ninjetti snake?" Angela asked.
"I have many forms however my spirit animal is a chameleon which allows me to blend in with my surrounding or if the need is great enough I may shape shift." he stated
"We appreciate your assistance but we need to collect the flame of sight, or at least part of it." Trini said.
"Yes and then off to the dessert of despair, however you will need one more thing to purify the runes infecting your friends." he explained.
"Wait! What?" Aisha said.
"Why don't you collect the part of the flame and then I'll explain further." said the shadow ranger
Taking the advice they entered the gymnasium to find a floating torch. Rushing forward they all reached the flame at the same time.
"Aisha get the bottle to contain the flame." Angela suggested, reaching into her messenger style bag once again, Aisha grabbed the jar with the slits in the lid removing the lid she quickly swiped at the torch collecting a portion of the flame of sight.
"Alright lets get out of here before anything else happens." Trini suggested.
The trio quickly exited the gym to find the shadow ranger still waiting. The second they reached him all four disappeared.
On the moon after Goldar & Rito returned
"What are you doing back here?" Zordetta snapped.
"We were about to battle the female rangers, when a power surged at us and demanded we leave." Rito explained as he lowered himself onto one knee and bowing his head.
"Did you see anyone or anything? Zandra asked
"No just heard a voice." Goldar answered as he copied Rito's position.
"He has no idea what he has done but it looks like he has chose a side." Zandra said a sickening evil grin covered her face.
Back with the rangers in the youth center
Rocky was sitting at the table with nine plates in front of him eight of them empty. He was giving off the don't fuck with me vibe. As he was about to sink his teeth into yet another burger he heard the voice that at this time drove him mad.
"It's surprising your not 1,000 pounds with everything you've eaten." Adam said
"I thought I told you I didn't want to see you ever again" Rocky replied
"So why don't you move back to stone canyon were you belong" came the voice of Zack as he entered the area of the youth center.
"Hey lets not go telling people were to go, cause you haven't been around for almost a year or more." Rocky retorted enraged at the green ranger.
"FUCK YOU , man we were selected at random an I allowed you to become something more than just teenagers." Zack responded with his voice dripping with hatred
Rocky rushed toward Zack only to be stopped by Bulk& Skull who happened to walk in just seconds earlier.
"What's wrong Rocky?" Bulk asked.
"Its above your understanding Big boy." Rocky snapped before storming off.
"Well that was weird and unusual for Rocky" Skull said shocked from the outburst.
Meanwhile with the girls
"Rangers time is running out short we must hurry!" said the shadow ranger.
"Now what?" Angela said
"We are standing in the middle of the dessert of despair and we need sand to complete our quest." Aisha said.
"Well lets get some sand and get back to the command center and get this purification over with." Trini suggested. Just when she finished speaking a very loud howl filled the air completely terrifying the girls
Angela moved quickly to grab a jar from Aisha's messenger bag bent down and scooped up some of the sand.
"Now can we get the fuck out of here, I'm tired of the howling around us." she stood up and handed the jar back to Aisha.
"Alright ladies gather around and I'll teleport us to the command center." the shadow ranger stated.
At the command center
"Zordon their readings are stable but they still aren't waking up." Alpha- 5 exclaimed.
"Their connections to the morphin grid combined with the corruption of the runes, their unconscious condition could be keeping them balanced ." Zordon explained to his trusty assistant just seconds before the girls and the shadow ranger arrived.
"Zordon we have the artifacts that you sent us for, what do we do now?" Angela asked.
"First you need to find your friends they have been put under a spell by Zordetta's newest monster.
"I'll get started on the purification process." Alpha- 5 said.
"Alright Alpha we will be back to help you soon." Trinis said.
The girls then teleport out to find their friends
"Zordon it looks like I came at a good time." said the shadow ranger
"Yes Zondar, I assume your here to add the fourth and final piece of the process to purification of the runes." Zordon said then asked.
"Yes I'm here to assist in the efforts of freeing your rouge rangers." Zondar said.
Meanwhile with the girls
They arrived at the park and decided it best to split up to find their friends. Aisha stayed to search the park. Trini chose to go to the school and look. While Angela went to the youth center to look there. About ten minutes into the search Angela bumped into Zack inside the youth center
"I'm sor... Zack hey we need to talk." she said.
"What could we possibly have to talk about?" Zack retorted snidely
Taken aback she gasped.
"Wha... Interrupting her what am I talking about?" He said in a mock whimper.
After searching the two places Trini and Aisha arrived just in time to over hear Zack's mocking tone.
"Zachary Emmanuel Taylor what is your problem and why are you acting so cold toward her? Especially after doing nothing but talking about her the whole time in Switzerland? " Trini snapped.
"What is it to you, don't you have a boyfriend to save?" Zack said with a wicked smirk on his face.
"We have to save some jackass friends first because they are needed to help." Aisha stated expressing her annoyance with the situation. Just then the spell seemed to weaken and Zack seen the hurt in all of there eyes. Just then the others who had remained unseen walked over.
"Hey guys" Rocky said as he approached.
"We don't have time to talk we need to go to base." Trini said without making direct eye contact with Zack.
"Then we better get going before the spell grabs ahold of us again." Billy said.
The group hurries to the locker room area of the youth center checking the surrounding area making sure they weren't being watched
"Coast is clear!" Rocky stated seconds later they teleported to the command center.
Up on the moon
NO! they have slipped through the effects of the hate master spell. This is to soon." Zordetta shouted
"What are your wishes my empress" Zedd asked as he bowed before her.
Zandra entered the room "We attack now!"
Back at the command center
The rangers landed to find the ingredients all set the only thing missing was the three possesed rangers.
"Rangers we are short on time we must quickly complete this task." Zondar stated causing the seven remaining rangers to move quickly get into position. Billy and Trini stood close acting as the earth elemental conduit, while Adam and Angela stood together acting as the water elemental. Meanwhile Aisha and Rocky standing together acting as the fire elemental. Zondar and Zack stood together to act as the air elemental. They stood in a pattern reminiscent of how they stood when Jason, Zack, and Trini transferred the power to Rocky, Aisha, and Adam only slightly different this time they had to stand in a design to leave space of the runes and the purifying artifacts.
"Now rangers feel with your spirit animals and tap into that bond with your fellow spirit brothers & sisters. Reach out to your lost spirit siblings. The connection you have allowed you to receive and send mental messages reach out and bring them back to us." Zordon explained.
