A/N: Hello everyone and welcome back for the next installment of Ninjas in Hiding. As we approach the 30th anniversary of power rangers. I would like to drop the hint of my next book which I will start after watching the reunion special. I will be doing the reunion I think would make better since. Especially if you ship the same pairs that I do.

Chapter 11:The importance of Family
The chaos started when Goldar and Amelia arrive in Angel Grove with a horde of skullbots. They wasted no time in attacking the buildings and the civilians.
Same time with the Rangers.
The group of friends was sitting around the Oliver's backyard when they heard the familiar six-tone chime.
"What was that Conner asked.
"It's an alarm we have somewhere to be," Aisha answered quickly walked around to the side of the house, and answered their communicator
"What is it Zordon?" Tommy said as Rocky kept watching to make sure the coast is clear.
"Teleport to the command center immediately," Zordon said.
Following the instructions given, Tommy looked to Rocky for the all-clear. They then teleported. Landing seconds later they all looked up at their mentor.
"Zordon what seems to be the disturbance? Adam asked as they all fanned out.
"My dear sister has sent Goldar and Amelia to attack and destroy the city. Rangers you must pull together for this battle I fear this is just the start of a major battle. Zordetta isn't playing she wants revenge on me, and I will not allow her to use you as a message." Zordon explained.
"We can't just sit here and destroy our home," Angela said.
"Zordon you gave us these powers to allow us to defend our home, we will fight until we can't fight anymore," Jason said.
"Let's do it guys, It's Morphin time," Tommy said.
After morphing they teleported to the park where they find the skullbots terrorizing the place and causing the civilians to panic. Just as one was about to harm a little girl.
"Hey, why don't you pick on someone your own size," Rocky said.
"You mess with our town you have to go through us first," Zack stated.
"Attack !" Amelia shouted. The skullbots charged the rangers and the battle was on.
There were feet, fists, and bodies flying everywhere. Rangers were kicking skullbots, skullbots were punching rangers and it seemed like this was the battle of their lives. Neither side was giving an inch, just as the rangers were getting the upper hand Goldar or Amelia would attack just to allow the evildoers to keep the battle in their favor.
Sametime at the command center
"Alpha, I sense an intruder incoming," Zordon said.
"That's not possible nobody can enter without a power coin," Alpha-5 said.
"Or Eltarian blood in their veins you talking tin can. Why don't you take a little nap while I have a little chat with my brother." Zordetta said as she waved her hand over Alpha's head causing him to deactivate. She then turned to her brother before speaking.
"About that chat my dear brother, you had me tried and sentenced to banishment from our home. I vowed that very day I would have my revenge, and now you are going to pay for everything our family did to me." Zordetta said.
"Sister, you had started following a dark path and when Ooze became involved you took an even darker turn. You gave the sector's power sphere to him which was the sphere that powered the capital of Eltar. You remember it was the biggest city on our home planet. It also powered the protective shield around our planet. You put innocent lives in danger while not showing an ounce of remorse for your actions." Zordon boomed down.
"You floating windbag you were always the goodie good never met a rule you didn't like. You were father's favorite, which left me with nobody because mom was never around she was practicing her black magic. She couldn't practice it in the palace, and she never allowed me to learn from her, so I went to Ooze. He gave me so much that I could learn from home, he also gave me a son whom your light of goodness hid his location from us." Zordetta screamed at her brother.
She then grabbed for her sword but just before she could unsheathe it Zondar returned to the main chamber after hearing her screams, just in enough time to engage his mother before she could cause damage.
"You didn't stop looking for me either. You just weren't happy when you found me Mother" Zondar said as he moved to put space between him and his mother.
"Oh! how cute you sticking up for your uncle as you have done since his little imprisonment." Zordetta snarled at her son.
"You never understood the sense of family." Zondar spat back.
The two battled for position around the command center. Zordetta pushed off quickly followed by a backflipping away, then jumped at him with a swing of her short sword aiming for her son's chest. Acting quickly Zondar brought up his shield from his wrist effectively blocking his mother.
"Why did you ever come to earth Mother?" He asked
"You are in the way of the reason I'm here, you ungrateful brat." she hist at him.
"Well, I'm not going to just step aside and allow you to kill my uncle, who has been more of a parent to me than you or Ivan ever were." He shouted over the buzz of his shield and her sword clashing.
"You don't have to step aside will just go through you!" she snarled wickedly.
she then pushed off of his shied spinning mid jump and connected with a kick to Zondar's chest causing him to stumble back into a control panel. Glancing at what he stumbled into he quickly hit a series of buttons and then dove at his mother. When the two touched they were transported to the park where the rangers were battling Goldar, Amelia, and the large army of skullbots.
"Ah! You're ready for the final battle son?" Zordetta asked with a smirk on her face.
"You think that you're ready for the final battle," Zondar said with a look of determination on his face as he took in the people around him.
Before they arrived at the park
The rangers spread out to hopefully thin out the large number of skullbots. Zack and Angela are working in tandem with each other using the skills the two of them possess. They were able to keep the skullbots off guard. Leaping over Zack's head Angela kicked a skullbot in the chest. This caused the other bots to charge the two rangers in an attempt to take them both down. Reacting quickly Zack jumped and split-kicked two of the incoming skullbots as he landed the third jumped while running kicking Zack in the chest and knocking him down. Allowing Angela to land a spinning punch. Rushing to help Zack to his feet, the two looked around, noticing more skullbots forming a circle around them.
Aisha and Rocky worked well taking care of the group of skullbots. In an attempt to take the fight to the evil forces Rocky lifted and tossed Aisha giving her the time to land a kick and punch combination to the skullbots. This gave Aisha the ability to walk over and push the diamond into its chest. They looked up to find themselves still surrounded by more skullbots. Rocky rushed over to push as many as he could while running in a circle. As soon as he reached the first skullbot he was kicked backward, landing by Aisha's feet.
Trini and Jason combined their efforts from each of their years of studying martial arts. Jason knew what he was doing when three skullbots surrounded him. Expertly maneuvered to the middle of the three and then landed his famous tornado kicks. Landing them he knocked down the skullbots however they returned to their feet quickly and charged the duo. It was at this point Trini moved with the speed of her spirit animal, executing an expert punch connecting with the black diamond on the chest of the nearest skullbot. Not allowing any separation between each other Jason stood behind Trini as he noticed they were becoming surrounded.
Billy and Adam worked as well as they had since they became teammates. Keeping their opponents guessing where the attacks were coming from. Rolling over Billy's back Adam landed a swinging split kick to one of the skullbot's chest he then landed allowing Billy to roll over and land a split kick to another skullbot. Standing back-to-back they noticed that the more they knocked down the more kept coming.
Tommy and Kimberly were standing there face to face with Goldar and his group of skullbots, when suddenly Tommy straightened up then offered his hand to Kimberly, and without words, she took his outstretched hand. Taking the dance fight style offense keeping the group of skullbots struggling. Goldar noticed they were surrounded and decided to take advantage of the situation by jumping in the middle of the circling skullbots followed by the attack on Tommy and Kimberly. The two were knocked to the ground. Flipping back to his feet Tommy furiously attacked Goldar. Just then two teleportation beams stopped all movement. the two say.
"Ah! You're ready for the final battle son?" Zordetta asked with a smirk on her face.
"You think that you're ready for the final battle," Zondar said with a look of determination on his face as he took in the people around him.
This gave each side time to regroup. Every person or thing lined up. Amelia took this opportunity to leap into the air performing an earth attack upon her contact with the ground it shook causing all of them to wabble and fall to a knee. Standing between her mistress and Goldar just when they were about to attack again they disappeared.
Up on the moon
Zandra had been watching the events on Earth and was worried that Zordetta might fail on her mission. She weighed her options, she could either sit back and watch or she could call back the other evil forces. Moving quickly to find her quarterstaff. Waving it around she soon saw her daughter, her granddaughter. and Goldar materializes in the throne room.
"What did you call us back for!" Zordetta snapped out.
Just before they were teleported.
Zordetta and her forces charged the rangers who put up a fight. Tommy, Jason, Adam, and Kimberly moved to fend off Goldar's incoming attack, while Rocky, Zack, Aisha, and Angela defended against Amelia. Leaving Zondar, Trini, and Billy to face off with Zordetta herself.
Just minutes into the separate fights Rocky, and Zack worked well together keeping Amelia off guard. One would attack then the other would attack differently from a different side. The girls spot an opening acting on instinct alone they flipped over their teammate's heads landing with kicks to Amelia's chest causing her to fall backward. The rangers stood together as a united force.
"Give up yet?" Zack quipped
"You wish rangers." Amelia snarled
Not far away Tommy, Jason, Kimberly, and Adam were able to subdue Goldar without much of an issue. The three male rangers tossed Kimberly into the air, allowing her to land a drop-split-kick to Goldar's chest. The guys then rushed the Titan all going in for a team tackle. Getting up from their attack they dusted off their gloves.
"Look it's a golden monkey in its natural habitat, on the ground," Tommy said causing the other three to chuckle.
Just a few feet away Zordetta was battling against Zondar, Trini, and Billy. Her initial attack was deflected by her own son followed by Billy and Trini's attack causing her to stumble backward. It was Zondar's next attack that sent her to the ground, the result of his fake-out high-kick followed up by a leg sweep. The next thing they knew they were standing in the park in uniform with no evil forces present.
"Whoa!" what happened? No remark just vanish the second they were in trouble." Angela said. The group had started to gravitate toward each other.
"That was weird they didn't say a word," Tommy said
Not knowing he said something similar to what Angela said earlier
"Why don't we get to the command center, maybe Zordon knows what happened," Billy suggested.
Just as they teleport out one strange-looking light pulsed and out stepped Ernie, Mrs. Applebee, Bulk, Skull, and Master Vile carrying Rito.
"Ah, home now I hope you all understand after being held captured and held prisoner I need real food and a shower." Mrs. Applebee said as she walked away in a hurry.
"Thank you for assisting in our return home, I'm going home to eat, shower, and nap," Ernie said and walked toward his house.
"It appears this is the best time to make my departure." Master Vile said just before waving his wand.
"Thank you again for helping us get home," Skull said.
"Your welcome human." Master Vile said just before stepping into the portal carrying Rito with him. Leaving Bulk and Skull in the park alone.
In the Command Center
"Zordon do you have a clue what happened in the park?" asked Kimberly
"Simply, my mother interfered," Zordon informed.
"Well since the city and the world aren't under attack why don't we head home and enjoy the free time," Zack said.
They teleport out of the command center and into the sideyard of the Dumah house
"Conner you need to come and eat," Pierre said.
Seconds later a short brown-haired kid dressed in a red shirt and jeans ran over to the table. Just then they chose to walk over to the table with Rocky rushing ahead of them.
"It's time for food," Rocky said as he set down next to Conner. The rest of the group settled around the table to enjoy the food and time with people who have come to be known as family.
The next morning found the group accompanied by the four new Angel Grove citizens. They are on the way to school. They first stopped at the elementary school.
"You guys have a great first day at your new school," Kimberly said as she hugged each of them.
"We will be right here this afternoon to pick you all up," Tommy said
"Alright, we will be waiting for you right here after school," Conner said.
The rest of the children all shook their heads in agreement. As they walked into the school the rangers walked to the high school.
In the elementary school
The four children ended up in the same class, with one of the groups catching the attention of one of the meaner classmates. Arts and crafts time was fine no problems it wasn't until they went out for recess that the "Bully" made his move.
Darin walked over and grabbed Kira from behind in an attempt to drag her away from her friends. He almost had it accomplished until Ethan brought the events to Conner's attention. Seeing what was happening to one of his dearest friends Conner made his way over to separate her from Darin's grasp. However, before he got to land a hit on the guy Kira stomped on Darin's foot and followed that up with an elbow to his ribs. This gave some separation allowing Conner and Trent to rush and restrain Darin long enough for Ethan to approach and remove Kira from a harmful-looking situation.
"You two let go of me or you'll pay for it," Darin said with a growl.
"What do you want with Kira anyway?" Trent asked
"She is new and I wanted to show her the fun parts of the playground." he lied
"Well, you shouldn't have grabbed her like that," Conner stated letting go of his arm.
"What is she your girlfriend or something cornhole?" Darin asked making sure to call Conner something other than his name.
Conner acted angrily over being called outside of his name and a girl being picked on dove at Darin, forcing him to the ground and punching him. After a moment or two, the commotion drew the attention of the teachers. Rushing quickly Mr. Anderson (the new teacher that transferred from stone canyon) broke up the fight. He noticed that one of the kids was a regular troublemaker, and the other was the new kid.
"What happened gentlemen?" asked Mr. Anderson.
"He started it sir he just tackled me to the ground and started hitting me. Darin explained
"That's not true you started everything when you grabbed Kira!" Trent interjected.
"So, what prompted you to start hitting Darin?" Mr. Anderson asked Conner.
"Mostly for what he did to Kira, but also calling me Cornhole," Conner explained.
"Well let's see what the principal thinks of your behavior," said Mr. Anderson, grabbing both boys by their arms and walking toward the office.
Meanwhile at the High School
Bulk and Skull were standing at the corners of the main hall acting as security guards. The bell soon rang to signal it was lunch. The halls soon filled with students stopping at their lockers before heading to the cafeteria.
"Slow down in the hall, don't make me have a speed limit sign posted for the hall," Bulk said as a few students almost run into him.
"Hey, you should have two-way lines to avoid accidents," Skull said from down the hall from Bulk.
Walking up the hall half the group of rangers overhear Skull.
"Guys calm down these halls are not the mean streets of Angel Grove," Zack said
"UH... we were charged with keeping the citizens of Angel Grove safe," Skull said
"That's true but when you're here you are also high school students." Trini pointed out.
As they walked past them on their way to the lunch room. Followed by Angela, Billy, and Jason.
Meanwhile, Kimberly, Aisha, Adam, Rocky, and Tommy were making their way to the lunchroom from the other side of the school. Along the way, Kimberly looked up and glanced out the window. Noticing her mother and stepfather's car parked in front of the elementary school. The two of them were walking from the building walking in between them was Conner. Tommy noticed she was looking out the window and had stopped moving he turned and asked.
" What's wrong beautiful? he asked
"I just noticed the car and started watching, I saw them walk out with Conner," she explained
"Do you want to go talk to them, maybe find out what's going on?" he asked.
The others noticed them stop and turned around to find out what was going on.
"Guys, what's up?" Rocky asked.
"Hey man, nothing really but we are going to check on Kim's brother to see why he is getting picked up early," Tommy said
"So we will see you in the lunchroom?" Aisha asked
"Yeah, this should only take a few minutes," Kimberly said just seconds before she walked out the door. Tommy followed close behind. At about the same time Caroline and Pierre reached their car with Conner in the toe so did Kimberly and Tommy.
"What's going on?" Kimberly asked as they approached her parents
"Conner had an eventful first day at school," Caroline informed.
"It wasn't my fault Mom I was just protecting KIra from a bully.
"Wait what happened?" Pierre asked
About that time Darin's mother pulled up in a raggedy old car that looked like it belonged in a scrap yard rather than on the road. Out stepped this woman that looked like she just rolled out of bed, as she started to approach the building a man came from the front door with the child at his side.
"Well, well, well, Charity you finally chose to be a mother, did you?" the man asked
"Jack, what are you doing here?" Charity asked
"When the school couldn't reach the boy's addict of a mother, they called me," Jack said.
Meanwhile, Darin walked over to his father's SUV.
"Where do you think you're going?" Charity snapped at her son.
"I wanted to go with DAD!"
Conner discovered something while watching the exchange in front of him. Maybe he could use a friend.
"That's fine, Jack will you bring him here tonight?" She asked
"I thought I would keep him and drop him off at school on my way to work," Jack replied.
"Is she going to be there?" Charity said snarling.
"No it's just Darin and me," Jack informed
"Alright have a good time with your dad and I'll see you tomorrow," she said
"Conner why don't we get out of here you two need to get to class," Caroline said
With no further argument from either of them, Kimberly and Tommy went to lunch as the other three piled in the car and headed home.
Meanwhile on the moon
"We will attack as soon as everyone is recharged and ready to go," Zordetta said
"Are you planning on taking the planet by force dear?" Ivan Ooze asked as he entered the palace.
"Yes I do my darling can I count on your help," she asked
"Of course my sour apple," Ooze replied to her question.
"I'm not sticking around, I've already sent for my transport home, and good luck with your battle," Zandra said then a beam came through, she stepped inside the beam and then she disappeared.
Amelia then walked into the throneroom bowed, and asked what is the plan master? Was that Grammy leaving?" she asked
"Yeah, she had things to do besides watching my victory over my pathetic older brother," Zordetta said playing more on the mother figure spell she has over Amelia.
"I'm here to fight by your side. After all my father abandoned me, you took me in and raised me. I want to destroy him for that." Amelia said reminding her Aunt of what she promised, the day she started training for combat and her command over the elements.
"Gather the troops we attack at dawn," Zordetta ordered showing her sympathy had to warn off, she was now ready for battle.
Back on earth
Aisha, Kimberly, Trini, and Angela were gathered at the Dumah house to study for the history test.
"Trini you ready for the next question," Aisha asked calming down from previous laughter caused by the girl in question when she commented on something that happened to Bulk and Skull earlier at school.
"Yeah, girl what's the question?" Trini asked
"What was the main accomplishment of the Freedom's Bureau?" Kimberly asked
"Oh, that's providing aid and education to emancipated slaves," Trini said with confidence.
"That's great, Aisha I believe it's your turn to ask the next question," Kimberly stated just before she sat back down. They continued studying like that until it was time to go home for dinner.
Across the street in the Cranston residents
"Jason that was impressive, I wasn't sure you would have gotten that one." Zack teased his best friend due to earlier group study sessions, where Jason would miss the answers by one word or miss the order of the words.
"Alright, Zack this one is for you," Tommy said in hopes of sticking up from his bro. "What president pursued a policy of vietnamiztion?" Tommy asked
"That would be President Richard Nixon, guys I was part of the peace conference as was Jase, but I paid attention mostly cause I wasn't making googly eyes at a cute lady in yellow," Zack explained.
"Bro this is not the time to bring that up," Jason said as he stood to continue their study group. The guys studied until it was time to go home for dinner.
Campbell's House
"Aisha sweetheart we have a surprise for you," Tammy said from the living room.
Aisha set her stuff down and walked into the living room to find her cousin standing to greet her. Squealing she rushed for the visiting family member.
"Tanya is going to be staying with us for a while," George said.
"That's totally awesome, you've got to go with me to the mall and I'll show you all around Angel Grove, and introduce you to all my friends." Aisha rambled on in rapid-fire succession.
"Why don't you let her get settled in before dragging poor Tanya all over the place," Tammy said trying to calm both girls.
"So how about Chinese for dinner?" George asked.
He was met with cheers as answers from all the occupants of the house.
Scott's House same time
"Mom, Dad are you guys home?" Jason asked as he walked in the front door.
He was met with silence, entering further into the kitchen he found a piece of paper. Laying on the paper was a note and his father's credit card.
"Sorry, we missed you for dinner sweetie. Dad had a business meeting and I went to stand in for his secretary hope you are ready for that history test and good luck. Love Mom and Dad.
Setting the note down he walked over and grabbed the phone, he quickly dialed the familiar number for Luigi's
"Luigi's what can we toss into the pie for you?" came the voice over the phone.
"A large pepperoni, large meat lovers, a large supreme, and five two liters of Coke," Jason ordered.
Once off the phone, he dialed the number of his bro.
Oliver's house
"Hello," Melissa said answering the phone.
"Hey, Melissa is Tommy around?" Jason asked
Just then Tommy walked through the door with Trent right behind him. Saying hello to their parents, after walking Kimberly home.
"Hi, boys you have a phone call, Tommy," Melissa said
"Who is it ma?" he asked as he set his bag down next to the door.
"It's Jason." She replied
"Alright, I'll take it in my room," Tommy said as he picked it up by the cordless. While Trent headed to the table to finish his homework.
"Hey, bro what's up?" Tommy said as he took the call. His mother hung up and returned to cooking dinner.
"Nothing much really, what are you up to tonight?" Jason asked.
"I'm going to catch up on homework why do you ask?" Tommy replied
"Why don't we make it a group effort and have everybody gather over here, I've already ordered pizza and my parents are out of town.
"That's a great idea let me grab my books and I'll head over," Tommy said
"I'll call Adam and Zack and have them pick up Angela, Rocky, and Aisha, could you stop by and grab Kimberly and Billy?" Jason explained
"Sounds like a good idea bro we will see you soon," Tommy said hanging up the cordless.
"Hey, ma can I stay at Jason's?" Tommy asked from the hallway.
"That's fine sweetie I figured he was calling for a reason so I only made enough for Trent, Dad, and myself," Melissa said.
Tommy then packed clothes, grabbed his school bag then walked out the door.
Meanwhile with Jason
After hanging up with Tommy he quickly dialed Zack's number.
Taylor House
Zack and Ethan arrived home, said hello to their parents then Zack went to his room. Putting his bookbag in his chair then turned around to see his mother standing in the doorway.
"What took you so long to get home?" Janice asked her oldest son.
"I was showing little man around some fun areas on our way home," Zack said
"Alright just don't make a habit of doing that, nearly scared me half to death," she said
The front door just opened and shut, followed by " Hello honey" from Mr. Taylor, followed by the phone ringing.
Picking it up as he heard footsteps descending from the stairs.
"Hello," he said answering the phone.
"Mr. Taylor, is Zack home yet?" Jason asked.
"I'm not sure yet Jason I just walked through the door myself. I'll ask 'cause Janice just walked downstairs." Henry said covering the microphone piece. "he asked if Zack was home yet?" he repeated to his wife quietly.
"Yes, dear both boys are home." She said
Returning to the phone Henry told Jason that Zack was home followed by asking if he wanted to talk to Zack.
"Yes sir, I would like to talk to him," Jason replied
"Zack telephone for you it's Jason." his father called up the stairs.
"Coming Dad," Zack said as he quickly descended the stairs. Walking over to take the phone from his father, Thanking him
"Hey, Jase what you up to?" Zack said as he put the phone to his ear.
"Hey, bud can you join us for a group study party?" Jason asked
"Let me ask my parents first, I'll let you know in just a second," Zack said just before holding the phone away from his ear. "Mom, Dad can I stay at Jason's for a study session?" he asked them.
"I suppose that would be fine son." his father answered.
Putting the phone back to his ear. "Yeah, buddy I'll be over in a little bit," Zack said
"Could you swing by and grab Angela on your way, bro?" Jason asked.
"Yeah, sure thing Jase," Zack said before they both hung up.
Packing a bag and heading over to Angela's to pick her up.
Back with Tommy after leaving his house. He set out to pick up Kimberly, and Billy. A short walk down the street to the left and he was in front of the Dumah house.
Dumah house
Kimberly sent Conner inside explaining she would be right inside.
"You just want to kiss your boyfriend," Conner said looking up from his net tying Seeing the look on her face he quickly chose to run inside. The two share a passionate goodnight kiss. Kimberly entered the house just minutes after Conner. She hears the commotion in the kitchen walking in further she finds her parents working on dinner.
"What are the two of you cooking?" questioned Kimberly
"I'm showing your mother how to make Toulouse-style cassoulet," Pierre said enthusiastically.
Conner made a face like he was intrigued about the meal however it was Kimberly who made a face of disgust. she walked away to put her bag down. When she walked away there was a knock at the door. Conner walked over to see who was at the door. Opening the door he saw that it was Tommy.
"Hello, Tommy didn't you just drop Kimberly off?" asked Caroline as she walked into the living room.
"Yeah, I did but when I got home Jason called and asked if we all wanted to get together for a study session to try to get us all prepared for that test on Monday," Tommy explained.
Kimberly walked back up the hallway noticing Tommy's voice she quickened her steps.
"That sounds like a great idea, as long as she is up for it, provided it's all of you together and sleeping is done separately," Caroline said both of them looking in her direction noticing the smile on her face.
"Let me get a bag packed and grab my school bag. Make yourself comfortable I'll be right back." Kimberly said just before returning to her room to get enough stuff for the weekend.
"We will be split into three different rooms with the girls all being in one room, ," Tommy said as Kimberly returned the two quickly said goodbye to her parents and left for Jason's house, walking hand in hand toward Billy's house
"So what made you come pick me up so quickly?" Kimberly asked
"Jason called me as soon as I walked through the door. We thought about the test coming up on Monday. Figured it was an idea that would allow us all to catch up on homework and prepare for the test. We also have to stop by and get Billy." Tommy explained
Cranston House
Billy walked in his front door to find his father going over a checklist.
"What's going on Dad?" Billy asked
"Science convention in Pasadena this weekend would you like to tag along? Nathaniel asked.
"I don't know if I should we have an important history test coming up on Monday. It's our history final." Billy explained
"Well, that is very commendable of you son. Understandably, you need to focus on your education, maybe next time." Nathaniel said just before patting Billy's shoulder the walked back toward his room mumbling about his checklist.
Shortly afterward there was a knock at the door.
"I've got it, Dad," Billy said before walking over to open the door.
"Hey, buddy you want to join us for a study session for the weekend at Jason's?" Kimberly asked
"Sound stupendous allow me to inform my father," Billy said.
"Alright, we can wait out here," Tommy said
Billy then quickly through an overnight bag together for the weekend. Walked back to his dad's room to ask "May I stay at Jason's for a study session this weekend?"
"That's fine son just remember to feed the fish," Nathaniel asked.
"I'll feed them on my way out the door, see you on Monday, and thank you," Billy said as he moved to complete the task his father instructed.
"Would you also pull the trash cans down the driveway on your way to Jason's house," Nathaniel said
"Sure thing Dad I'll ask Tommy to help me drag them down the driveway," Billy said as he opened he waved bye to his father.
"Tommy would you mind helping me drag the garbage cans down then we can head to Jason's," Billy asked.
"Sure thing bud," Tommy said
The three of them walked over so Tommy and Billy could drag the garbage cans down the driveway. They then headed to Jason's.
Park House
Leemay was sitting in the living room watching Wheel of Fortune while her husband Richard was busy in the kitchen making his famous shrimp alfredo pasta, which just happened to be one of Adam's favorite meals. The two siblings walked in the door. Kira walked over to sit next to the woman she had come to call Mom to enjoy some afternoon television. Adam made his way to his room to put his books down.
Out in the living room, the phone rang. Leemay reached over, grabbing the phone.
"Hello," Leemay said answering the phone.
"Hello, Mrs. Park this is Jason, I was wondering if I could talk to Adam?" he asked.
"Oh, yes dear allow me to get him," Leemay said. Kira chose to be helpful, she got up and walked down the hall gently knocking on Adam's doorway, then waited for him to answer. Turning from his desk Adam saw Kira at his door.
"What is it, sis?" he asked
"You have a phone call," Kira said before she turned to head down the hall to her room. Leaving his book open he left his room to see who was on the phone.
"Who is it ma?" Adam asked as he got close.
"It's Jason she replied.
Taking the phone from his mother. "Hello, Jason what are you up to man?" Adam asked.
"We were getting together for a group study session; thought maybe you would want to join us?" Jason asked.
"That sounds great, let me ask my parents first," Adam said putting the phone in his other hand and covering the mouthpiece he turned to ask his mother. "Mom, can I go to Jason's for a study group?" Adam asked.
"It's fine with me if it's okay with your father," Leemay said.
"Dad, what do you think?" Adam asked as he turned toward his father.
"That's fine son, hope you are working on the study guide for that American history test.
"I'm sure the upcoming test is the reason for the study session," Adam said in answer to his father's question.
"Enjoy your study group session son, and we will see you tomorrow after school. I'll even save you some pasta son." Richard said.
"Ah, Dad today is Friday, and I would appreciate you saving me some pasta, but if I know Jason, he planned it for the whole weekend and he will provide food," Adam explained.
Turning back to the phone Adam told Jason he would be there in just a few minutes, explaining that he would get Rocky and Aisha. They soon hung up then Adam called Rocky's house.
DeSantos House
Rocky walked in to see his parents cooking dinner together. It was quite a shoe all four of his sisters were amazed. Sitting as still as statues, all of a sudden, the phone rings. As she is flipping the dough, Maria reached over grabbed the phone put it to her ear hold it by her shoulder then caught the dough only to toss it up again.
"Hello DeSantos residents," she said into the phone.
"Hey, there Maria may I speak with Rocky please," Adam asked.
"Uno momento parfavor, Ricardo telefono para yoy." Maria said in her native tongue keeping her children used to speaking their native languages.
"Quien es Madre?" Rocky asked
"Adan," she said.
Walking over Rocky took the phone.
"Hey, Adam what's up?" Rocky said.
"I wanted to let you know we are all headed over to Jason's for a weekend study session," Adam said.
"I'll check with my parents," Rocky said before holding the mouthpiece.
"Would it be okay if I went to Jason's for a study session in preparation for the American history test?" Rocky asked
"That sound fine to me," Matthew said.
"You will eat dinner over there, correct?" Maria asked her son.
Bringing the phone back to his face he asked, "We are eating dinner there, right?"
"I think so Jason's going to have pizza like always I'm sure," Adam replied.
"Yes, Mom Pizza is usually our go-to for our group study sessions," Rocky relayed the answer to his mother.
"Have fun at your study session see you Sunday evening," Maria said.
Rocky quickly agreed to meet Adam at Aisha's house.
Johnson House
Angela just walked through the door after taking out the garbage cans when Zack knocked on the door. Her father Donald answered the door.
"Hello, young man," Donald said.
"Can Angela join us for a study session at Jason's house? Zack asked.
"That would be fine as long as you all study, what time would she be returning?" he stated before asking his question.
"I'll be back on Sunday evening Daddy, our study sessions can take hours," Angela said as she grabbed her backpack off the hook before walking out the door.
"Thanks for waking to pick me up. Isn't that Billy, Tommy, and Kimberly?" Angela asked as she noticed the trio walking up the street on their way to Jason's house. The two decide to join them.
Rocky met up with Adam the two of them walk over to pick up Aisha. The timing was perfect Aisha was walking out to drag the garbage cans out.
"Hey, Aisha study party at Jason's you want to join us?" Adam asked as they approached
"Sounds good let me ask my parents, I'll let you guys know what they say," Aisha said
Jogging up to the front door she opened the door leaning in Aisha asked "Is it ok if I go to Jason's for a study session with the gang?"
"That's fine sweetie maybe next time Tanya can attend?" Tammy asked after answering Aisha's question.
"I don't see that being a problem, she should fit right in with the rest of the group," Aisha responded before turning back toward Adam and Rocky to tell them. "Let me get a bag then I'll be out."
"Aisha, why don't you ask them to come in to wait for you?" her father suggested.
Turning she asked them to come in, once inside they found an empty sofa to sit on while Aisha went to pack a bag and grab her backpack. Tanya returned from her room to get something to drink, and Adam caught sight of a female that wasn't his long-time friend that lived there. Aisha returned moments later with her overnight bag along with her backpack hanging from her shoulders.
Rocky stood at the same time Adam locked eyes with the other female before he stood. She smiled causing him to smile back and blush.
"Adam, are you coming?" Rocky asked before he and Sha were ready to walk out.
Sheepishly Adam stood joining his friends quickly walking out the door. Not quick enough for Rocky not to notice the beat red color on his best friend's face. Rocky glanced at who Adam was looking at before he and Aisha stepped outside closing the door behind them.
Meanwhile with Jason
Walking out his front door Jason walked down the street to the Kwan residents.
Kwan Residents
Trini arrived home to find her mother and grandmother sitting in the living room sharing tea.
"Hello darling, how was your day?" Sue Yung asked.
"It was good I have a history test to study for so I'll be in my room," Trini said.
About ten minutes later after Trini went to her room Jason approached and knocked on the door. There was a vehicle pulling into the driveway at the same time the front door opened. Bruce stepped out of the car, at the same time Sue Yung asked "What can I do for you, Jason?"
"I was wondering if Trini could join us for a study session to prepare for our American history test coming up on Monday?" Jason asked.
"That sounds like a good idea," Bruce said as he walked up to enter his home. Calling for his daughter.
Trini answered her father once she entered the room, "Yes Daddy?"
"Jason is here to pick you up for a study session." He said.
"I'll grab my bags it shouldn't take me long," Trini said before she returned to her room.
A short time later she returned saying goodnight to her parents and grandmother as she walked out the door. Jason being a gentleman offered to carry her bags. She handed him her backpack. She appreciated the gesture but wanted to show her independence.
"Tommy was stopping by to pick up Kim and Billy," Jason said informing Trini of what he had planned for the study session.
"Are Zack, Angela, Rocky, Adam, and Aisha joining us as well?" Trini asked as they started up the sidewalk.
"Yeah, the whole gang is coming for the weekend," Jason answered.
About fifteen minutes later Jason and Trini were sitting on the porch when a pizza delivery car pulled up.
"Hey Jason, how's your night going?" asked the pizza delivery guy.
"Not bad just getting ready for a study session," Jason said.
"Well as such a loyal customer I threw in some breadsticks, and wings to help you out," he said.
"Hey, thanks, Doug," Jason said as he paid for the food.
The delivery guy was leaving as from both sides of his house came a smaller group of their friends. See the pizza sign Zack and Rocky both quickened their steps.
"Hey guys," Jason said as the other eight people entered the yard and approached the porch.
" Alright, you got pizza now we are all here with our books, let's study!" Rocky said.
"I'm sorry he had a lot of sugar at lunch," Adam said.
Silence came over the group as Rocky tried to sternly look at Adam however cracking up just seconds later. After they gathered everything to not leave a mess or a lot of dishes. The group was studying with Billy standing in as a tutor. Hours passed as they studied into the night.
The group was sitting around after breaking for the night feeling they were prepared for the upcoming test.
"I think we should call it a night," Billy suggested.
"Yeah, Aisha and Angela are passed out on the couch," Adam said
"Well let's call it and head to bed guys the basement is set up as well as the spare bed has anyone seen Tommy and Kimberly?" Jason explained then hurriedly asked.
Not waiting for an answer, he took off down the hallway, when he reached the door, he found the two cuddled up asleep. Returning to the living room he directed everyone to the basement.
"You find them, bro?" Zack asked as they walked toward the basement.
"Yeah," Jason replied.
The group found their own places to lie down to sleep with the girls taking the second spare bedroom, while Trini took Jason's room. The night was quiet while they all fell asleep.
