Chapter Nineteen, Here we go!
We're bringing in Touya here, and soon we'll bring in Toga. Then we'll be able to get some more of the plot rolling!
Anyways, let's go!

"The name's Touya Todoroki."
Izuka and Mustard smiled.
"Nice to finally meet Touya! I'm Mustard, this is Izuka! We're the quirkball uniform designers."
Touya nodded, sitting down at the work table.
"This is the base design?" The boy blinked. "You guys are good at this…"
Izuka smiled. "Well, we asked to have a team to help make the uniforms. The others get free passes to watch the games while we're your on field uniform support."
Touya let out a low whistle. "You mind if I try out the shoes?"
Izuka nodded. "I don't remember if you were present for the competition to design each uniform, but each set of cleats is made to stimulate pressure points on your feet."
"Sweet…" Touya nodded, pulling the shoe onto his foot. "I can feel it… so relaxed but, also energized."
Izuka nodded. "The design was made by another design duo. They were pretty cool, so we brought them in on the project."
The young man nodded, before looking at the uniform on the table. "Tense told me that these outfits were built to support our quirks."
Izuka smiled. "That's right! We got wind of your quirk a while ago. You can make flames hotter than most flame proof material can handle, right?"
"Yeah… unfortunately, it also overpowers my flame resistance, which is pretty top tier… I could be a hero with that alone…"
Izuka grinned. "Ooo! Please, could you give us a demonstration?"
The young man shrugged. "Do you have a blowtorch?"
Izuka procured one easily. The young man popped the torch alight and let his hand sit in the middle of the flame.
"Woah… and you don't, feel anything?"
Touya shrugged. "It's warm. But, I don't feel any pain. I won't burn either."
Izuka nodded. "Alright, could you give a demonstration of your quirk?"
"Sure thing. Wanna take notes?"
Mustard rolled his eyes as a notebook materialized in Izuka's hands.
"Okay, the name of my power is 'cremation'. It creates an all consuming fire that can even burn me. The flames get stronger with my emotions."
Izuka nodded, writing everything down as she watched Touya generate flames on his hands.
"Can you generate flames away from yourself? Or are they only produced on your person?"
Touya shrugged. "Most of my training was hand to hand, so it comes naturally to me."
Izuka nodded. "Can you try lighting this candle," The woman pulled a candle from a cupboard. "Without generating fire from your skin. Stand a ways away and try to create the fire out of the air."
The young man stood up and concentrated on the candle. After a few minutes he sighed. "Sorry… no dice."
Izuka shrugged. "Worth a , can you channel your flames into objects that you hold?"
Touya shrugged. "I mean, like my dad I can shape my flames into spears and such, so I don't have much use for a different weapon. But it's worth a shot."
Izuka handed the young man a metal bar. "With your flame and heat resistance, I don't think you'll need a mit."
The boy nodded, before focusing and activating his quirk. Blue fire bloomed along the metal pipe, lighting up the room with a bright glow.
"Woah… And it doesn't burn…" Touya breathed.
Izuka smiled. "That's what we're looking for! Alrighty, so, we need to make some type of clothing that can resist your flames, while incorporating a design into your cleats that will allow you to channel your fire through them."
Touya blinked. "You work fast… is there any way that you could help me with my hero costume too?"
Izuka shook her head. "Not at all! Would you be willing to give me a few samples of your DNA, so I can work out anything else about your quirk."
Touya nodded and allowed Izuka to collect several samples. He gave a few bits of his hair, along with blood, salviva, and a tiny graft of skin, which Izuka fixed up with what she called the 'recovery cane'.
"I based it off of recovery girl's cane. One good tap on the head, and you'll be healed!" Izuka chuckled.
"So that's why the old lady's been so excited with her cane lately…"
Izuka chuckled. "Yeah… anyways, We'll see you tomorrow to talk over this stuff. You think you'd be able to stop by around lunch time?"
"Sure thing! Oh, and would I be able to schedule a time to talk about my regular hero costume?"
Izuka nodded. "Like I said, I can help you. We can talk about your costume on… How about Wednesday?"
"Sounds great to me!"
Mustard gave a thumbs up as he worked on bordering the letters on Touya's uniform. The young man left the studio and Izuka quickly tore mustard from the uniform.
"Come on, I'll finish that tomorrow. We have to get home for dinner!"
Mustard let out a cry for help as Izuka blitzed out of UA with him in tow.
The young woman tossed Mustard into her truck and leapt in, before driving away. Mustard straightened himself out and buckled his seatbelt.
"You could give more of a heads up!" The young man grumped.
"I thought you liked surprises?" Izuka smiled.
"Surprises don't include tossing me into your car and driving away! Seriously, what the hell?"
Izuka laughed all the way back home, pulling into the garage at home with a grin plastered across her face.
"Seriously Izuka, it isn't funny!" Mustard whined.
"You can deal. Come on, I'm pretty sure Auntie actually made Pho tonight." Izuka grinned.
The two students walked into the dining room and sat down just as dinner was being placed upon the table.
"You're right on time! I'm assuming the brat already told you about his day?"
Izuka rolled her eyes. "He called me in the middle of a rescue exercise."
Mitsuki slammed her hands on the tabletop. "He did WHAT? KATSUKI!"
Izuka chuckled. "It's okay auntie. Come on, I want to tell you stuff about the exercise anyways. Are the other kids here?"
"Yeah, they're upstairs playing 'Hero Smash'. Masaru, if you could do the honors?"
"Sure thing honey."
The man walked over to the stairs. "Hey everyone, Izuka and Mustard are here, dinner's on the table!"
The man walked over and sat down as the four friends stampeded down the staircase.
"HI AUNTIE!"
"Woah guys! You're really loud." Izuka smiled. Mustard squeaked his fingers in his ears, before blinking.
"Yeah, ouch."
"Now, you guys wanna hear about our day?"
Katsuki sat down at the table. "You told me on the phone you did something cool."
"Yeah, I fought a bunch of robots." Izuka stuck her tongue out.
"SOMETHING OTHER THAN THAT!"
Mustard snorted, before turning and thanking Mitsuki, who handed him his food.
"This looks incredible, Mrs. Bakugo. Do you often cook Vietnamese dishes?"
"Well, it's one of our favorites." The woman smiled. "But I mainly learned it because of Masaru's mother. She moved to Japan from Vietnam. I was the only person who could make it for her."
"Mitsuki's Pho always reminds me of mom…" Masaru nodded. "It's nice to have every once in a while, with visitors."
"Of course, if someone had remembered ingredients the first time you came over…"
"Hey! That was Katsuki's friends! Not Mustard." Mitsuki pouted.
"Well, the first time he was here, we cooked together, so my claim still stands."
"I- Well I-"
"Just don't try to fight it Mitsuki, you'll just get riled up." Masaru shook his head with a smirk.
"Anyway Auntie, what about your exercise? Other than fighting robots, what did you do?" Mina asked.
"It's the rescue exercises, right? We're doing them tomorrow." Mustard nodded.
"Yeah. So the first one has only civilian robots, which you have to rescue with the basic skills talked about in class. Make a recovery zone and move the civilians to safety, etcetera. There's a hidden objective as well, where a few second year students are placed in order to 'betray' you. You'll figure the rest out."
"Alright. You said exercises, so there's another one, right?" Sero asked.
"Yep! The second exercise is a lot crazier. An active earthquake, with invading villains. You have to save as many as possible while keeping damage to a minimum."
"Woah… that's intense. Are they the same bots from the entrance exams?" Mustard asked.
"Yeah, but they're more coordinated." Izuka shrugged. "Anyways, I got to use the open palm style I developed."
Katsuki's eyes widened. "You mean you used it? How could you not tell me sooner auntie?"
Izuka smiled. "I wanted to save it as a surprise. I used the shattering piston attack first.
"How did it work out?"
Izuka slurped up some noodles and let out a satisfied sigh. "The first attack brought the second year I fought to their knees. It helped me turn the tables pretty fast. The only thing is, fighting that way consumes a lot of energy."
"How many bots did you get?" Katsuki asked.
"I destroyed about eighty villain bots… saved a few hundred civilian bots." Izuka nodded. "Anyways, I'm more interested in Mustard. What did you do in class?"
"More quirk training." The young man nodded. "I managed to make more headway into my entire 'gas storm' move."
"Nice!" Izuka smiled, working more on her food. The dinner conversation went on for a while, with Izuka even bringing up the quirk she was currently studying.
"So, with the samples of Touya's quirk, there's a lot of things that we can make!" Izuka grinned. "His quirk, is so insanely powerful!"
"Touya? Is that one of the hero students?" Mitsuki asked.
"Yeah, although I haven't seen him around school as much… He's a Todoroki."
"Endeavors kid?" Kirishima blinked.
"Yeah." Izuka nodded. "His fire resistance is incredible."
"Yeah, the dude pretty much bathed in that blowtorch you gave him." Mustard nodded. "If his flames ignore flame resistance that strong, what are we supposed to do with his uniform?"
Izuka grinned. "That's the thing. I had him test that metal pipe, remember? It's made out of a tungsten steel alloy. Almost unmeltable with current flame quirks. If we use fibers made from that ally to make his shoes and uniform, I'm certain it'll stand up to his fire."
"That's a great idea… what about the effect it has on his body though? The fire eats away at him."
Izuka nodded. "Yeah… I was hoping to study his DNA a bit more tomorrow. I can figure it out then."
Mustard shrugged. "Well, as long as we can help with the suit, we do our job properly, so I'm fine with whatever you find."
"His fire didn't really give off heat… I'll look into that more. Anyway! You guys fought a villain today, right?"
Izuka and Mustard listened to the kids talk about their run in with Kraken. Izuka was proud of Sero for helping Harpsichord get patched up. She told Kirishima she was proud of him for protecting the others.
The night wound down, and Izuka brought Mustard up to her room.
"You should have the bed tonight." Mustard nodded.
"Well… I was wondering. Could we lay together tonight?" Izuka blushed. "I… wanted to ask for a while now, but I wasn't confident."
"You mean…" Mustard's face turned beet red. "Like… cuddling?"
"We are in a relationship… Would it be bad?"
Mustard shook his head.
"No, it wouldn't. Here, let me go change, and you get comfortable, okay?"
Izuka nodded. "The pajamas from last time are in my top drawer for you."
"Thank you. Be back in a few minutes." Mustard nodded.
As the young man walked out to change, Izuka buried her face in her hands.
'Stupid stupid stupid! What if he didn't want that? Does he even like me like that really? What if I'm just making him uncomfortable? Oh my lord, what if he comes back and says he changed his mind, and then he breaks up with me and-'
"I'm back." Mustard walked into the room. He was dressed in a set of pajamas he had left over for nights he spent in Izuka's room. Gray sweatpants and a soft t-shirt.
"Hey, your face is pretty red… are you okay?" The young man asked, kneeling down and brushing Izuka's hair from her face.
'He's so close!'
"Yeah! I'm uh… I'm fine."
Mustard nodded. "Good. Here."
The young man climbed into Izuka's bed, laying back and pulling Izuka over into his lap.
"Are you comfortable?"
The anxious thoughts flooding Izuka's head dissipated.
"Yeah… this is perfect."
Mustard chuckled as he brushed some of Izuka's hair behind her ear. "I hope you know that you'll have to cuddle me back one day."
Izuka nodded. "Goodnight Mustard."
"Kiken…"
"What?"
"My name… You should know it by now. It's Kiken. Kiken Mizo."
Izuka blushed. 'He told me his name…'
The young woman turned over and gave her boyfriend a kiss on the lips. It was short and sweet, but it got the point across, and sent a feeling of electricity arcing through their nerves.
"Goodnight… Kiken." Izuka smiled, turning back over as her boyfriend pulled the blankets over them.
"Goodnight my little scientist."

I'm having fun playing around with this relationship. It's fun to have it develop slowly and sweetly.
