Okay, chapter twenty five. My apologies again for taking so long between every five chapters.
Anyways, gonna wrap up the dinner and meet mustards dad. And then we begin with the sports festival preparations!
Let's a go!

Hanya Mizo was your everyday citizen. He worked at a small support company called Oran Tech. The name was reminiscent of the healing item from a pre quirk era videogame. It fit well with the company, as they specifically manufactured items for healing quirks, namely the youthful heroine: Recovery Girl.
Recovery Girls niece actually owned the company. It was she who made the formula for the sugar bears that the hero handed out to patients. They didn't require a big space to make them, nor did they need many workers.
Hanya was the head of the medical hardwear design team. It was the smaller branch of the company, which dabbled in making devices to assist medical heroes, instead of consumable items. They were gadgets like the lock table, which was a portable surgical table that a medical hero could fix onto a citizens limb, in order to quickly perform surgery to save bone or muscle tissue.
While he wasn't the one who had proposed the invention, he was still proud of his teams work. He wasn't mentioned often, but he enjoyed that fact. Heroes and their families were often swamped by paparazzi, and he had a family to take care of, so he was glad to work off of the normal grid of public knowledge.
Just another average joe.
However, the green haired partner of his eldest son definitely caught him off guard when she knew him by name.
"Kiken! You didn't tell me that your father was Hanya Mizo!"
Hanya blinked, wondering what to do in this type of situation.
He was pretty awkward when it came to the public. That was another perk of not being in the spotlight, his anxiety was manageable.
The anxiety mainly stemmed from the fact that streets weren't safe. If people knew him or his family had a part to lay when it came to Hero agencies, he could be endangered. He didn't have much of a good quirk either. He could create chemical powders from his hands, but doing so consumed an equal amount of that chemical in his body. His wife, Sara Mizo, had a quirk that would cause her body to produce steam.
They never really thought about the quirk combination between them until they had their first child, and now he was on the road to becoming a hero. Regardless, until he did become strong enough to protect himself, and others, Hanya was content to stay out of public view. Heck, he was planning to stay out of the public eye for his entire life.
"Well, not many people know him, as he tends to keep a low profile, but he's a support engineer with a team of individuals that are responsible for making much more practical medical support items. I believe Oran supplied most of the equipment for treatment in the ground zero tragedy."
Hanya shook himself out of his confusion. "Sorry, you caught me off guard. Yes. Oran Tech provided a lot of equipment twelve years ago. Not many people know about us, other than heroes and government officials. Maybe the odd Hospital director if they need a specific item."
Izuka nodded. "You were one of the first people I researched when looking into quirk engineering. While you don't really create quirks or replicate them, the way you provide gadgets that are just as helpful as superpowers is inspiring!"
Hanya chuckled. "I don't think we ever were officially introduced. Kiken blabs on and on about you, but I never got a name."
Izuka smiled. "Izuka Midoriya."
Hanya nodded. "That makes more sense. Had I known your name, I probably would have arranged a reservation at a restaurant."
Mustards mother blinked. "Is she that important? I've just been treating her like family this whole time! Where are my manners?"
Izuka shook her head. "No no! I really appreciate being treated like family! Most of the support techs who do know my name will be really rigid, and try to impress me. All I did was invent a type of fabric, and besides, that's nothing compared to my real work."
Hanya smiled. "I bet. Well then, if you insist on being treated like family, we may as well get Kiken a bed big enough for both of them! Just make sure there aren't any little heroes running around."
Izuka blushed as Kiken groaned. "You sound just like mom. She said the exact same thing when we went to get Dhal.
Hanya turned. "Sara, you met her before me?"
The woman gave an innocent smile as she set a few plates out on the table. "They just happened to show up at the restaurant."
Hanya got to his feet and tickled the womans side. "But you didn't tell me!"
"Oh I know! The utter betrayal!" Sara laughed. "Alright, stop that Han. Let me go get the Wellington and the drinks."
Sara walked away from the table as Hanya sat back down. "Regardless. I'm glad you found somebody in my son. He probably doesn't even realize how lucky he is!"
"Oh believe me, I know." Kiken nodded. "I know."
"So… tell me a bit about your actual work Miss Midoriya."
Izuka shrugged. "Well, there isn't much to tell. It's quirk engineering. I replicate quirks."
The man nodded. "Isn't quirk engineering the practice of synthetically creating a quirk?"
"Yes and no. The common definition is what you just said, however my definition is a bit different. I create machines that allow one to use the quirk of another person, or that aid a person in expanding their control of their own quirk. For example, Kiken. I made him a gas mask where I used his hair in the air filtration system. It allows him to use his quirk to full effect while remaining safe from the gas."
"I see. That must require an incredible amount of precision" Hanya nodded.
"Sometimes. It can be difficult to find the catalyst for a quirk, which is why many of the items I have made have been for support. However, there are some that I have figured out for my own use, like my mothers, as well as a certain project for the UA sports festival."
Sara walked back to the table carrying a beautiful beef wellington. "Oh that is coming up soon, isn't it? Do you think you'll win?"
Izuka smiled. "If I finish this project by that time. I have a second project i'm working on as well, but that's classified."
Hanya nodded. "If it has any effects on healing items, would you consider letting me in with a partnership?"
Izuka smiled. "Once my current partner and I announce it, everything will be available for support industry use."
"So you already have a partner…"
Izuka nodded. "That information is also classified. Anyways, how about you?"
Hanya shrugged as Sara served dinner. "What about me? My team has a few projects that they're working on, but we took a hit a few months ago when one of the hero agencies aligned with us lost a new hero. They began to lose job opportunities, and their reputation plummeted. We've lost a bit of funding since."
Izuka nodded. "That's too bad… which agency was it?"
"The quake agency. The hero in question was known as Marble. He was killed, and his body destroyed. We never learned anything else about it."
Izuka shuddered as an image of the dead hero, dripping dirty sludge, flashed through her mind.
'Just die already!'
'I am here!'
A massive man of pure muscle, his face blocked out by red as his blonde hair stood in the air. The man towered over Izuka, his unyielding smile almost demonic in the flames of the burning apartment.
"Izuka? You okay?"
The young woman blinked as her boyfriend shook her shoulder. She realized everyone was staring at her.
"Are you okay?"
"Uh… yeah, just zoned out for a minute… can you pass the water?
Hanya passed Izuka a glass of water, which she sipped from slowly, before shaking he head a bit.
"Alright, sorry about that. You were saying?"
"I was just talking about the quirkball uniforms. Are you sure you're okay?" Kiken blinked.
Izuka nodded. "Of course. By the way Mrs. Mizo, the wellington is superb."
"I'm glad that you like it…"
Dinner was over quickly after that. Izuka changed into some pajamas as Mustard took a shower. It was her first night over at another persons house, and she was a bit nervous, but that feeling was overshadowed by her excitement in being there.
"Izuka, are you certain that you're okay?" Kiken asked as he walked into the room.
"I'm fine." Izuka nodded, sitting on the floor with her back to the wall. "You're dad is really nice, and your brother is too cute."
Mustard chuckled and hanged into some pajamas of his own, before sitting down next to Izuka. "Yeah. I think you were the push he needed. As I was coming back to the room he was talking to mom about karate."
Izuka nodded. "He's a good kid."
"I know." Mustard nodded. "So the question now is, what do you want to do?"
Izuka shrugged. "We could watch a movie?"
Mustard nodded. "Yeah. Let me grab my laptop… what are we thinking, quirk era, pre quirk era?
"I always had a thing for pre quirk anime." Izuka smiled. "Have you ever seen Naruto?"
Mustard nodded. "The one with the ninjas? Yeah, it's good."
"How about… Akira?"
Mustard opened his computer and searched for the film, before nodding and selecting it.
"You can stream it?"
"Yeah, I've got a bootleg site. Don't tell anyone!"
Izuka chuckled and leaned back against the wall as the movie started.
As the night went on, Izuka found Mustards arm wrapped around her. She gave a soft coo of acceptance and snuggled into the boy, resting her head upon his shoulder.
The voice acting of the movie tuned itself out as Izuka's eyes began to close, and she was consumed by sleep.

(Warning, this portion of the chapter includes some stuff relating to assault and unmentioned parts of Izukas past. I'll put these in every so often so that you can see how AFO works behind the scenes. If you don't wish to read this, then I will let you know when this section ends with a similar note.)
All For One sighed in his chair. He had managed to stop Izuka's mind from deteriorating at a rapid pace, but now came the problem of Post Traumatic Stress. Not only from the fight, but also her normal life.
The man flexed his hand as he shuffled through his quirks.
Detonate, Lure, and Fixate were currently useless to him. He didn't need to blow himself up anytime soon, nor did he want to draw in attention from heroes.
The man sighed and wiggled his arm, activating Brain leech, implant, and Ensnaring arms, wrapping up the woman before him.
Her name was once- well, would once be Elena Chisbeck. She had been a teacher from Europe who then resided in Japan after getting a job at Musutafu joint public Elementary and Middle school. She was the reason behind the first time he stole memories from his daughter.
When Izuka had been eleven years old, this teacher had subjected her to psychological and physical trauma via public exposure and forced acts. It made the man sneer as he imagined the Public Safety commission batting an eye towards her.
Her quirk had been called mind Legilimancy, after the magical ability from the old Harry Potter books. She could enter the mind of another and alter their memories. The day that All For One truly pursued her was when she made herself look like his late wife, and sexually assaulted his daughter.
Luckily, the girl no longer had any memory of that incident, and he would keep it that way. But for the vile pig that was panting and drooling at his feet, he would make sure she didn't have much of a life.
All For One Knelt forward. "Do you understand why I am mad at you? Why I've kept you frothing beneath my heel all these years?"
The woman gargled a response as she thrashed against her bindings. Ah yes, the chains. The same chains she had bound his daughter with.
"You… Why? No quirk girl… why important?"
All For One snaked a tentacle towards the woman and allowed it to wrap around her body, squeezing and squeezing in a pulsing manner. He could feel rbs crack beneath the pressure, feel the rattle of the womans lungs.
"You're reaching the end now… so I might as well tell you. The woman you dressed as? She was my late wife."
All For One stood up and picked Elena up, bringing her over to a mirror s that she could see her reflection.
"You tried to turn yourself into a dead woman… to abuse her daughter and sully her memory." The man grit his teeth as he used his other arm, which was not transformed, to grab her hair.
"Green hair, like this, is the sign of the Midoriya family. You do not bear their genetics, you do not bear their blood."
The woman screamed As All For One tore her hair out, before smashing her into the mirror, shattering it and causing glass to tear into her face and chest.
"I want to inflict as much pain as possible unto you… but unfortunately, I don't want to give you the satisfaction of healing anymore. So instead, I'm going to turn you into a weapon for my successor."
The woman whimpered as the tentacle arm of All For One squeezed her again and again. She could feel her bones snap and her muscles tear from the pressure.
"There… not enough to kill you, but enough to make it ten times as painful to move. Normally, I do this on dead bodies, because the parasite can be painful."
Elena's eyes widened as the tentacle slithered around her neck and forehead, before spitting into five segments.
"But the thing is… I don't care how much you suffer Elena. I just want you to keep writhing in your own mind, trapped in the prison I carved out, until my daughter destroys you. It won't be too long."
"W-wait… please."
"Goodbye Elena Chisbeck."
The tentacle segments stabbed forward. Two wriggled their way beneath her eyelid and snaked their way back behind her eye, before wrapping around the optic nerve. Two more slithered into her nose, while the third shoved itself into the womans mouth.
Elena screamed, or would have if she wasn't completely silenced. Pain lanced through her brain as the brain drain quirk activated, targeting her Somatosensory Cortex. The womans skin began to turn red and all she could feel was a terrible itch. All For One allowed his arm to return to normal as the End tentacle separated from him, becoming a beak.
The beak tightened as the womans eyes inflated, causing her to screech, before her brain swelled and broke through her skull. The womans skin turned blue and her arms cracked as they twisted and writhed, splitting into an extra set of limbs.
The new nomu collapsed upon the ground, drool spilling out of its mouth.
"Go find the doctor and have him put you in a tank."
The nomu painfully dragged itself from the room, and All For One sat back don in his chair.
"One down, ten and a whole class to go."
(Okay, It's done. Keep reading from here :3)

"The UA sports festival is approaching fast. We'll be training as much as possible for the event. Make sure that in your spare study time, you work on ways to display yourself."
Izuka sat in the support lab, listening to the recording of Aizawa she had taken. "So… they can use their quirks. I wonder if I can use my inventions…"
A metal vent duct clattered to the floor next to Izuka, causing the young woman to jump. Principal Nezu fell out of the vet and landed upon Izuka's workbench.
"You are allowed to use inventions, as long as they are cleared with me beforehand. Please note that they cannot cause lethal damage."
Izuka nodded. "Well, can they still cause damage? I mean, if I made like, a knife, coud I use it as long as I display enough skill?"
Nezu smiled. "I look forward to your designs Miss Midoriya! Now… Back to searching for Aizawa…"
The principal leapt back up into the vent, causing Izuka to chuckle. With a sigh she turned to her notebook.
"The question now is… what quirks to use?"

And there's chapter twenty five! Again, sorry for the wait. I'll do my best to get more chapters out soon, but there is a lot of stuff going on in my life.
I'm sure I'll talk about it in an authors note somewhere along the line, so until next time!
Sushi Out!
