0713MM: Hey guys! I welcome you to the 5th chapter of The Silver Valkyrie! I do not own Black Clover, nor its characters. Chapter start!^^
Chapter 5
"Resisting is futile." One of the white cloaked people prepared their grimoire to unleash their magic. "You pathetic Magic Knights will die here."
"Don't count on it!" Asta shot back; unleashing a battle cry as he charged towards there 10 opponents at full force.
"Such a fool." The 2nd white cloaked figure remarked as he unleashed a magic bullet at Asta, who blocked it with his sword.
"A feisty one huh?" One of the blacked cloaked figures remarked. "No matter… They'll all die here anyway…."
"Let's find out!" Noelle remarked. "Solid!"
"Humph! Fine!" Solid grunted. "Water Magic: Holy Water Bullet!" Solid fired several bullets made from his Water Magic at the opposing mages. Unfortunately, the mages blocked his attacks.
"Tch…!" Klaus grunted. "We have to work as a team here!" He turns to Fana and Mars. "We'll call it truce for now just so we can take these new uninvited guests down."
"We can shake hands on it afterwards." Mars told Klaus. "For now, let's take these guys down."
"Water Magic: Sea Dragon's Lair!" Noelle cried out as a massive water shield formed around all 11 of them to block/absorb the attacks of the 10 opposing mages.
"Thanks Noelle!" Asta grinned.
"Got to protect squad members!" Noelle nodded. "Even if they're not mine!" Klaus gaped, Mimosa smiled, Yuno's expression remained neutral, while Asta grinned like an 8 year old. Solid on the other hand…
"So kind Noelle!" Solid mocked. "That kindness will get you killed!" Noelle ultimately ignored Solid's words and turned to Asta.
"Asta, I will use another spell to launch you into the fray." She then turned to Finral. "Courtney's brother, you back him up with those portals of yours."
"R-Right!" Finral nodded.
"We'll back him up too!" Luck, Fana, and Mars added. Noelle glanced at them and nodded in agreement.
"The rest of you cover me!" Noelle ordered.
"How sad." A white cloaked mage remarked. "Thinking they can defend the treasure hall from us. We just want the sword that's here."
"Sword?" Asta repeated before it dawned on him in regards to what Acier said was in the dungeon. "Wait You mean the Demon-Dweller Sword?!"
"How does this kid know about the sword?!" Another white cloaked mage gasped.
'He has the Demon-Slayer Sword dumbass." One of the black cloaked figures retorted. "So of course he'd be sent there to retrieve the Demon-Dweller Sword."
"Then we should eliminate the boy." The 2nd black cloaked figure remarked, raising his right hand to form a magic bullet.
"Then that's what we'll do!" The 3rd black cloaked figure retorted, in addition to the white cloaked figures, who then also charged up magic in their hands to form magic bullets.
"Fire!" All 10 magic bullets flew towards Asta. Yuno watched from within Noelle's Sea Dragon's Lair. Before Yuno could shout Asta's name, heavy breathing could be heard from behind them.
"What was that?" Noelle groaned before turning to face Yuno. "Was that you?"
"My breathing isn't that heavy." Yuno nonchalantly replied.
"Then wha-?" Noelle began before she heard it again. She turned around only to release a terrified scream upon seeing what was behind them. An orange-scaled, bright orange-winged, and yellow-eyed dragon a few meters above the ground.
How could we not sense it?! Klaus thought, a terrified expression on his face. Everyone else in the area stopped dead in there tracks. Even the cloaked figures became terrified.
"Th-The guardian of the d-dungeon!" A white cloaked figure stammered. "RUN!" Before the 10 foes could so much move, the dragon was in front of them and roared at them before slashing them all in a horizontal fashion; thus cutting them into 2.
S-So strong! Fana thought. How come none of us could sense it?!
It didn't even use its magic to beat them! Mars thought. So then what was that just now that the dragon used….? The dragon turned to face the 11 mages, a stern expression on its face.
"Ooooooh! Can I fight it?" Luck grinned, his Lightning Magic covering his entire body like an aura.
"Not now Luck!" Magna snapped. "Besides, I'm pretty sure this dragon could kill us all if it wanted to."
"Why are you here?" The dragon questioned sternly. At this point, Noelle had dropped her Sea Dragon's Lair spell as the 11 of them were standing face-to-face with the guardian of the dungeon. Klaus cleared his throat, then began to speak for the whole group.
"We 9 Magic Knights were sent here on a mission to make sure nothing was stolen from the dungeon." Klaus told the dragon guardian. The dragon stared down at Klaus with its yellow eyes, making the young steel mage shake.
"Is that right?" The dragon replied before turning his attention to Asta and Yuno. "You 2…."
"Y-Yes?" Asta asked.
"I will allow you Magic Knights into the dungeon." The dragon guardian began. "But! Aside from the scroll and the Demon-Dweller Sword, you CANNOT take anything! I'll know if you do."
"Thank you!" Asta grinned as the dragon guardian slashed the door with its claws; thus opening the door for them. Once that was done, the 9 Magic Knights strided into the treasure hall.
"Oooooh! So many shiny things!" Luck grinned.
"That's gold you moron!" Magna groaned.
"Let's take some with us!" Luck laughed.
"No Luck." Finral groaned. "Let's just let the Golden Dawn and Silver Eagle boys get their prizes. Then we can all leave. I can give us a portal back once that's done."
"But what about Mars and Fana?" Noelle asked as she gestured to the outside of the treasure hall, where said Diamond Kingdom Mages were standing. Mostly out of fear due to the dragon guardian's intense and angry stare at them. "We can't just leave them here."
"Of course we can!" Solid scowled as he watched Yuno and Asta go through the treasure hall. "They are our enemies Noelle!" Noelle groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"So one-sided thinking…" Noelle muttered. "Look, if Mother was here, she'd give the 2 a 2nd chance. We should do the same." Klaus glanced at Noelle after she said that, then sighed.
"Alright fine." Klaus spoke in a defeated tone.
"What? You're siding with that illogic?!" Solid growled.
"Probably because she has actual common sense." Yuno deadpanned as he returned, a new spell in his grimoire. Solid turned to face the newbie Golden Dawn with gnashed teeth.
"Why you little…!" Solid began angrily.
"Now now, I'm sure we can discuss this like normal people." Mimosa spoke cheerfully as she stepped in between Solid and Yuno.
"Humph!" Solid crossed his arms irritatingly.
"Oi! I got the Demon-Dweller Sword!" Asta called to the others as he ran towards them, grimoire in his pouch. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only thing he got. He put his hands to his head as a bird, clearly an anti-bird, pecked his head before eventually sitting on his head. "Owowowow! Stop it you stupid bird!" At this, everyone sweatdropped, including Fana and Mars.
"Uhhhh… How did an anti-bird get in here?" Magna questioned.
"Does it matter?" Solid snapped. "It might as well come with us at this point. Since it doesn't want to leave the brat's head."
"Alright, let's go." Finral spoke as he opened a portal. "Now hurry up. I can't keep it open forever."
"Shut up taxi." Solid snapped as he walked through the portal, making Finral sweatdrop.
"Thanks Finral!" Asta grinned as he and Noelle went through his portal.
"Thank you very much." Mimosa smiled as she, Klaus and Yuno went through it as well. Mars and Fana didn't go through immediately, which confused Finral.
"Umm….aren't you 2 coming?" Finral asked them. Both Fana and Mars looked at each other, then back at Finral.
"Well…." Mars began, uncertainty in his voice.
"We are classified as enemies of Clover." Fana explained to Finral for Mars. "So us going into your territory further would not be good." She paused, then added. "Then again, I wasn't really a fan of what was going on in Diamond. So much violence for no reason. Besides, we have some friends who also defected from Diamond are within Clover. Somewhere."
"Well, pick between coming or staying soon." Finral replied. "Like I said, I can't keep this portal up forever."
"Then we will." Fana remarked, grabbing Mars's hand, much to his surprise.
"H-Hey!" Mars began, but he and Fana had already gone through the portal. Finral followed soon thereafter.
Finral's portal opened up at the entrance to the dungeon, where Courtney was waiting for Asta, Noelle, and Solid.
"Hello brother." Courtney greeted Finral. Finral nearly jumped, then turned to face his half sister. He awkwardly laughed.
"H-Hey Courtney!" Finral greeted in an awkward tone.
"I just came here to pick up my squadmates." Courtney replied, her portal open to bring herself, Solid, Noelle, and Asta back to the Silver Eagles HQ. She then took notice of Fana and Mars. "Diamond Kingdom Mages? Shining Generals no less. What are they doing here?"
"We were here to get some goods in order to save Diamond." Mars retorted. "Our home Kingdom. But it seems we can't do that. Plus we were kinda…."
"Kinda on our last legs with it." Fana added. "Plus, we have friends we can live with from now on."
"Or you know, you could live with us at the Silver Eagles base!" Asta piped up, a big grin on his face. Mars and Fana's eyes widened in surprise by the request from the Anti-Magic boy. Even Noelle and Courtney were surprised. (A/N: The Black Bull and Golden Dawn groups of 3 have already left.)
"No. No way. Absolutely not." Solid scowled deeply.
"Asta?" Noelle turned to face her childhood friend.
"I say we let them." Asta retorted. "I mean why not? They have nowhere else to go really. And if they are truly serious about defecting from Diamond, then they will have nothing to worry about."
"Even if we agree, there's no doubt we will be under probation." Fana remarked, frowning slightly.
"I highly disagree!" Solid scowled. "This idea is never going to work!"
"So you acknowledge it as an idea?" Asta questioned, causing the 2nd middle Silva child to cross his arms and scowl.
"Humph! Of course I don't!" Solid shot back.
Yet your words earlier say otherwise. Courtney, Asta, and Noelle thought, sweatdropping.
"Well, we might as well take them with us anyway." Asta remarked as he tried to get the anti-bird to leave him alone. Mars and Fana looked at each other, then back at the Anti-Magic boy.
"Sure. We'll go with you." Fana replied, as if her and Mars have discussed their answer for a long time. Asta grinned, Noelle rolled her eyes, but smiled, Solid grunted in irritation, and Courtney nodded.
"Alright. Well come on." Courtney told them. Solid walked through the portal reluctantly, followed by Mars, Fana, Asta, Noelle, and lastly, Courtney.
"Great work in getting the Demon-Dweller Sword from the dungeon!" Acier congratulated Asta, Noelle, and Solid.
"Thanks!" Asta grinned as he put the sword back into his grimoire. "It wasn't that hard either!"
"Well, except for the fact that we ran into Diamond Kingdom Shining Generals." Noelle added.
"Oh?" Acier wondered aloud before she smiled. "Oh yes! I remember Courtney telling me about it. Mars and Fana, right? I had the maids escort them to one of the guest bedrooms."
"That's not all." Nozel spoke up. "According to Asta and Noelle's report here, it says that Solid purposefully ran off." Solid glared at Nozel as his face began to heat up with anger. Acier's expression from satisfied to disappointed in less then 5 seconds.
"Solid." Acier began. "Why did you run off from your squadmates? You were the superior on this mission. The fact that you abandoned your squadmates, and your sister no less, just because you don't like Asta is unacceptable." Solid felt himself flinch at his Mother's stern tone towards him.
"But Mother-" Solid began. Nozel shook his head at Solid's attempt to talk himself out of this. Nebra frowned deeply, but didn't say anything. Acier raised her hand to stop Solid from continuing any further.
"I don't want to hear it." Acier told him. "It seems if I want to set a good example for Noelle and Asta on what a Magic Knight should be, I should pair them up with either Nozel or Nebra, due to them being older, and more mature." Solid looked down in defeat.
"Yes Mother…" He spoke softly.
"Now, I shall be giving Asta and Noelle some training outside." Acier's lips reformed into a smile, as if she was never disappointed in the first place.
"W-Wait!" Asta started. "Train right now?" Acier turned to Asta and shook her head.
"No. Only if you want to." Acier told him. "I will have Nozel go to the Royal Capital to bring your 2's reports to the Wizard King."
"The Wizard King?" Asta repeated.
"The Leader of all the Magic Knight Squads." Nozel replied. "Now if you excuse me, I must be going." And with that, Nozel turned on his heel and left the living room. Nebra and Solid leaving shortly after. Asta and Noelle watched the 3 leave before turning there attention back to Acier.
"You know what Captain?" Asta asked before grinning. "I will take you up on that offer." Noelle flipped her right pigtail in a playfully arrogant fashion.
"Was I really going to say no to my own Mother? How crud of me." Noelle replied, but smiled anyway.
"Great!" Acier beamed. Hehehe! The perfect opportunity to play matchmaker with you 2 more like it!~
At an undisclosed location, several figures stood before a figure shadowed by the dim light of the cobblestone floored room they were in. The several figures consisted of white and black cloaked people. Eventually, one of the black cloaked people spoke up.
"Sir, the Black Bulls managed to acquire the Magic Stone from Saussy Village." One of the black figures reported.
"And that filthy commoner managed to acquire the Demon-Dweller Sword from the dungeon." A white cloaked figure added. The shadowed figure turned around to face a giant tablet and remained silent for several moments. Eventually, a spatial portal appeared and walked out 4 people. One with pale skin and scarecrow markings around his eyes and going down in a straight line. Another was a young black-haired woman with glasses, red eyes, and wearing an oversized lab coat over revealing clothing. The 3rd was a young man with messy grey hair with a large eyepatch over his left eye. As for the 4th…
"It does not matter if the Black Bulls have the Magic Stone or if the Silver Eagles have the Demon-Dweller Sword." The shadowed figure remarked. "So long as our goal is completed, it does not matter." He paused, then turned his attention to the 4 that just arrived. "Ah…Guildre Poizot….. You did the work necessary to advance our plans forward. Excellent." The chubby Purple Orcas' Captain nodded, tossing a killed guardian mage.
"My money please." Guildre remarked, holding his right hand out. The shadowed figure nodded, and gestured to have the pale-skinned man hand over 2 large bags of yul. Guildre took it gleefully before walking back through the pale-skinned man's spatial portal, which closed soon thereafter.
"Now that's done, it's time to attack." The shadowed figure spoke as he turned around. "All of you, you will attack the Clover Kingdom with full force. But only when I give the signal to do it. Valtos. Sally. Rades." The pale-skinned man, the young black-haired woman, and messy grey-haired young man, Valtos, Sally, and Rades, all nodded.
"Of course." Valtos replied.
"Whatever you say!~" Sally grinned.
"Let's kick Clover's ass into next week!" Rades sneered. All the black cloaked people laughed in agreement.
"Valtos, you will lead our Dark Disciples into Clover Kingdom. Once they cause chaos, use your Spatial Magic to get Sally and Rades inside." The shadowed figure told Valtos. "From there, the plan can move forward." He paused, then added. "But only when Guildre gives the signal. And speaking of that fat lard, you will meet him at the Clover Kingdom Border." Valtos bowed.
"Of course, Master." Valtos replied. "Alright! Dark Disciples! Please follow us!" The black cloaked figures, Dark Disciples, laughed again, then proceeded to follow Valtos, Sally, and Rades out of the area. Once they left and the white cloaked figures dispersed as well, the shadowed figure turned around to face the massive tablet. A dark smile crept upon his lips.
"Soon…...our plans shall be realized…."
0713MM: And chapter 5 is done! But before anyone asks or says in the reviews, no, these Dark Disciples are not on the level of Vanica's 5 50% Dark Disciples. These ones are between the 10-35% Devil Powered Dark Disciples. So essentially random one-off Dark Disciple OCs. Asta and his squadmates complete their mission, and even manage to give Mars and Fana hospitality! Assuming they are truly serious about defecting from Diamond. I will say this for Chapter 6: It'll be 100% focused on Acier training Asta and Noelle. Moreso for Asta so he can learn how to use the Demon-Dweller Sword to its fullest potential.
