"Scorpion, sharpen that spear!" Mario said. "Bendy, Octoling, thinner ink! Keep that popcorn cooking, Charizard! Kirby, that food's for the audience, not you!" Kirby frowned. "Look sharp, fighters. The tournament starts in 15 minutes."
Kirby opened the doors of the Midair Stadium lounge to see Mario, Kirby, and the other 63 competitors for the last DLC slot. Some of the fighters were getting along just fine, while others were getting too competitive before the tournament.
"Oh, hi, Kirby!" said Sora.
"Hi, Sora!" Kirby said as he waved to him.
All of a sudden, Scorpion, Spyro, Bandana Waddle Dee, and Crash Bandicoot burst out in laughter. "Seriously? This janitor is wanting to fight in the tournament?" Spyro said.
"Are you making fun of my Keyblade?" Sora asked as he summoned his Keyblade. "Why, I ought to—"
"Sora… guys, please save your fight for the tournament." Mario said. Sora took some time to look at the bracket.

"Might as well give up now." Johnny Cage said as he walked up to the other contenders, including Frogger, Imposter, Fall Guy, Cuphead, and Sonya Blade, pointing to them as he walked by them. "That invite is mine, 'cause I'm taking you down, I'm taking you down, I'm taking you out, I'm taking you out, and I'm taking you out... for dinner."
"We are gonna have 8 skins total. Four for me, and four for Mugsy." Cupped said.
"Would all the fighters please sign a contract for the tournament?" Mario said. Master Hand snapped his fingers, and a pen and contract appeared in each of the fighter's hands. Most of the fighters were confused.
WHEREAS the management cannot be held responsible for any accidents, incidents, fatalities, loss of property, life or limb.
WHEREAS for damage caused by lightning, explosions, lava, poison, earthquakes, floods, fire, frost, swords, guns, Pokémon, Assist Trophies, Final Smashes, Dark Cannons, unexpected attacks by Primids or getting launched off the screen of any sort, kind or condition, consequently the undersigned take responsibility.
WHEREAS to the extent that you will have your own Classic Mode route based on moments in your game(s) with a boss at the end of said route.
WHEREAS to the extent that you will have your own list of spirit battles based on your friends and enemies, and a stage from your home game world as your stage of choice for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, including Omega (Ω) and Battlefield forms, along with a list of music tracks also from your home game which will be played on said stage, which will also be used for the tournament.
WHEREAS to the extent that any and all Mortal Kombat fighters will not be allowed to spill blood or murder any contenders for the tournament. Also, when a Mortal Kombat fighter destroys a Smash Ball, or their FS meter is full, the Mortal Kombat announcer will say, "FINISH HIM/HER/THEM!"
We are not responsible for any fighters getting turned into trophies and/or spirits by Tabuu, Galeem, and/or Dharkon.
"Wait, accidents? What kind of accidents?" Lara Croft asked.
"I didn't know we had to sign anything for this tournament." Crash Bandicoot said.
The Mortal Kombat fighters noticed killing the other fighters was not allowed in the tournament. "I'm not signing it if I'm not allowed to kill the other fighters!" said Scorpion as he pointed it out on the contract.
"I'm not signing it if he's not signing it!" Sub-Zero added.
Master Hand gave them a thumbs down. "Then you don't go in. I'm sorry. Them's the rules."
This got Scorpion angry. "You NEVER let me get my way!" He yelled. Immediately, he and all the other fighters signed the contract.
"Sign here. And here. Initial here. Game of origin here. Release date of game of origin here." Eventually, all of the fighters signed the contract. "Perfect!" Master Hand said as he snapped his fingers again as the pens and signed contracts disappeared.
"Will Sora, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and Lara Croft please report to the main arena for the first match." the announcer said over the loudspeakers on the wall.
"Well, good luck, Sora." Spyro said.
