Vampiress Lovers, Blade and the X-Men part 1
After the Hulk incident in the Canadian Wilderness, when Weapon X had deceived him into hunting down the Hulk and captured him and Blade (along with injecting Adamantium into his raccoon/vampire hybrid friend's body) and destroying the Weapon X facility, Logan/Wolverine had spent the past six months returning home to the X-Mansion. However...after getting into a heated brawl with Scott/Cyclops for hitting on his ex-girlfriend, Jean Gray, who was in a relationship with someone else due to Cyclops trying to hurt a friend of Logan's because he thought he was trying to get with Jean, which in turn caused the redhead to break it off with him permanently, Logan decided to leave the team...much to Rogue's sadness as she always thought of Logan as a father and was angry at him abandoning her. After failing to comfort Rogue for him leaving, Logan spotted Storm with Professor Xavier and Scott attempting to speak to Jean, as she was still angry at him for attacking Logan with his powers...and that was when something truly...tragic was about to happen: both Jean and the Professor suddenly had terrible headaches, which alerted Storm, Scott and Logan before a huge eruption had exploded and destroyed the X-Mansion.
1 year later
As Logan was now living his life as a drifter, hitching rides whenever and wherever he could. He knew that Hank/Beast was still in the sub basement of the mansion, as he had nowhere else to go...but had no idea where the rest of the X-Men were: as they had all gone their separate ways after Jean and the Professor had disappeared after the explosion and their home was destroyed.
After witnessing a traffic accident, that resulted in an RV blazing on fire and a little girl still trapped inside...Logan had risked exposing himself as a Mutant to the girl's parents, as he used his claws to hack his way into the RV and shielded the girl from the RV exploding, but rendering him unconscious in the process. But unknown to all the human civilians...3 shadowy figures had witnessed Logan rescue the little girl and watched her family load him up into their car to get him somewhere safe, out of gratitude.
After finally waking up, Logan was surprised to find himself in the little girl's bedroom and thanks to his enhanced senses, had heard the little girl's mother talking to someone on the phone, along with talking to her husband about how their 'friend', Carl had contacted the Mutant Response Division because they chose to save him. While her parents were talking, the little girl, Erica started to bond with Logan...until the M.R.D had arrived and started shooting at him and Logan tried holding them off...but he stared shocked as the M.R.D had arrested Erica and her parents just for helping him.
As the M.R.D started to close in on Logan...that was when something truly unexpected happened: four familiar glaives had shot out of the shadows and impaled themselves in the back of two M.R.D troops! Logan smiled softly...as he recognized the glaives and spotted several more M.R.D soldiers being gunned down and spotted three familiar faces that he thought he'd never see again, his vampire friends: Blade, Selene and Amelia!
After his vampire friends had made swift work on the M.R.D, Blade stated while turning to his on/off Mutant ally. "Logan, you need to get out of here! Those troops are here for you!"
Logan stated sarcastically. "Oh, really? Guess I didn't notice!"
Selene would state a bit annoyed by his sarcasm. "Can the sarcasm Logan! We need to move before more of these troops show!"
Her Mutant ally stated. "Well, then by means, lead the way!"
Once they had managed to escape capture from the M.R.D and hiding in the shadows on the roof of a huge apartment building, Logan shook his raccoon/vampire hybrid friend's hand, along with the two vampiress lovers. "Damn Blade, I never thought I'd say this, but am I glad to see you, Selene and Amelia. The 3 of you showed in the nick of time."
Blade stated with a soft grin, as he had eventually forgiven Logan for him getting captured by the Weapon X team and the Professor injecting him with Adamantium which gave him his claws. "It's good to see you too, old friend. I just wish I could say it was under better circumstances."
Logan asked with a puzzled look. "What do you mean? Is someone after you, Selene and Amelia, too?"
Selene would state while sighing softly. "You don't know the half of it, Logan."
Amelia replied after her lover. "The people after me, Selene and Blade are the Corvinus Vampire Council."
Blade and his vampire sisters had spent five-ten minutes explaining to Logan why the Corvinus Vampire Council were after them: after they had discovered that Amelia's former 'Elder' and 'friend' Viktor confessed/revealed that he murdered Selene's entire family when she was still human...they had killed Viktor in order to avenge Selene's family and the other hundreds of innocent lives that were murdered during the unjustified war between Vampires and Lycans...and how murdering a Vampire Elder was a death sentence, as the remaining two Covens of the Council had placed a massive bounty on their heads.
After hearing why his vampire friends were on the run, Logan would reveal what happened the past year: how a mysterious explosion had destroyed the X-Mansion and both Professor X and Jean Grey had vanished...the X-Men had been disbanded, the remaining members had gone their seperate ways and cut off contact with each other.
Blade, Selene and Amelia had saddened looks on their faces, as they sympathized with Logan, as the one place he could call home and people who were like his family and friends were gone and realized that they were more alike than they previously thought.
Selene asked curiously. "Logan, is there anyone still at what's left of the X-Mansion?"
Logan answered as he knew where the female Death Dealer was getting at. "My friend, Hank McCoy is still there. He spends most of his time in his lab in the sub basements. Just not sure if he'd want to help, though."
Blade stated softly. "Well, he's going to have to...especially if we're going after those bastards who kidnapped that nice family for helping you."
Logan stated, showing he completely agreed with the Raccoon Daywalker. "You've got that right, bub."
After getting to the remains of the X-Mansion...Logan would simply close his eyes in sadness while Blade, Selene and Amelia stared completely shocked and speechless, as they had never seen an entire mansion obliterated like the manor was. Once they had gotten in the sub basement and found Hank in his lab, like Logan said he'd be, the Vampires introduced themselves to the blue furred ape like Mutant scientist. After they had convinced Hank to help them, by revealing that the M.R.D were now arresting ordinary humans for sympathizing and sheltering Mutants, Beast agreed to help them... after some convincing from Blade.
Later in the city
An M.R.D truck was parked in the streets, with some troops searching for any Mutants they could find... until Blade and the others had knocked them out, with Wolverine having to restrain Blade from draining some of them dry, as they didn't need a vampire problem to add to the list.
Once they got prepared, they headed to the base where the family was taken and Logan, disguised as an M.R.D troop, got inside the base, they fought their way through the base while dealing with an M.R.D agent who had a grudge against Wolverine. They then freed the family, along with several other Mutants while stealing one of their helicopters and destroying the hanger and other aircraft as they made their getaway.
The next day after rescuing Erika, her family and the other Mutants who were captured by the M.R.D...Logan, Beast and their vampire allies were currently in the sub-basements underneath the remains of the X-Mansion, discussing on what their next move would be.
Logan asked while turning to the blue furred scientist. "Hank, do we know if Cerebro was damaged from the explosion?"
Hank stated while crossing his arms against his chest. "Unfortunately...yes. But the damage wasn't that severe."
Selene, along with Amelia and Blade glanced at each other confused, as they had no idea what Logan and Beast were talking about and the female vampire asked. "What the hell is a Cerebro?"
Hank answered before sighing softly. "Cerebro is a state of the art supercomputer that Charles Xavier used in order to locate Mutants around the entire planet, especially if they were in distress."
Logan stated softly. "That was how Charles first found me, along with the others before we ever became the X-Men... and how he first found you after I told him about you, Blade, even though you being a hybrid vampire was a bit tricky for him."
Blade and his vampire sisters stared greatly surprised after learning how powerful Cerebro was: as it could locate around the world and also observe the human population as well! "So that's how Xavier tracked me down years ago. No wonder you knew where I was when you asked me to visit."
"So...you've been here before, Blade?" Selene asked while looking at her hybrid brother.
"Yes. But only once. Charles offered me a place in the X-Men, but I'm not a Mutant and seeing as how they don't deal with vampires and their fights with Magneto was not my place, along with a certain eye laser-blasting obsessive Mutant attacking me just because he thought I was interested in another Mutant who was his girlfriend at the time, provoking me into nearly draining the bastard dry. The only thing that stopped me was the Professor, but that was the last straw for Jean, who began dating someone else, another woman, to be a little specific and he tried to kill me, but I nearly killed him first. So, after that incident, I decided to leave here and hunt vampires as I have always done." Blade answered while revealing his past with the X-Men that happened a few years ago.
"Hugh. Serves the bastard right for trying to attack and kill you when you clearly didn't have interest in dating this Jean Grey. Who was he, though?" Selene asked.
"Scott Summers, aka Cyclops." Wolverine answered.
Amelia asked softly. "Could anybody use this... Cerebro if they wanted to?"
Hank answered while shaking his head. "Unfortunately, it's not that simple, miss Amelia. Cerebro can only be used by Mutants who have telepathic abilities. If it were used by anybody else...it would leave them in a vegetative state, with a 50/50 percent of recovery."
Logan would add after his friend. "Plus...the Professor was the only telepath strong enough to use it properly. If another telepath tried to...it would take every ounce of their strength to stay conscious while using the damn thing."
Selene, Blade and Amelia were completely stunned after hearing that surprising revelation: how only Mutants with psychic powers could operate Cerebro...and how dangerous it could be if an inexperienced telepath attempted to use the device, since it could leave them in a comatose state if he or she wasn't strong enough. But it was also good for them, because if the vampire council tried to locate them with Cerebri, it would immediately backfire on them.
Blade asked while glancing towards his on/off Mutant friend. "So Logan...since you're in charge of this Mutant situation, what's the plan?"
Logan stated while pinching the ridge of his nose in irritation. "That's just it, Blade...I don't have one. The only thing Hank and I can do right now is... find the other X-Men and try to convince them to come back. There's a war coming, and it won't be pretty, for mutants and humans."
A few days later
Logan then went down to the sub basement and found Hank, Blade, Selene and Amelia, with the vampires just getting back from feeding. Selene asked. "Well since we're bringing your other friends back, do you or Hank know where they are?"
Beast answered while sighing softly. "Shortly after the explosion...I was able to keep tabs on mostly everyone before they left. Bobby moved back in with his parents in Boston, Scott and Rogue are still in New York...but they keep moving, so I can't say for sure where they are. Peter is still in Russia. I tried to convince him to come back...but he refuses to leave his family again. The last I heard, Kitty moved back in with her parents...but left, as they were harassed by neighbors and...I have no idea where Kurt is. After what had happened...he just vanished."
Amelia stated softly. "Blade, Selene and I could help you look."
Logan stated. "Look Amelia, Hank and I appreciate the offer, but we..."
Blade stated bluntly while cutting him off. "Logan...shut up. We're helping, whether you like it or not."
Hank stated while smirking and pointing out the obvious fact. "We need all the help we can get and 3 vampires, while unusual to have in the manor, could be helpful to us. You've fought with... and occasionally against Blade in the past, so you know he can help us. And after seeing what miss Selene and miss Amelia can do, I don't see any reason why they can't stay."
After knowing that he didn't have that many options and giving off a soft chuckle, Logan stated. "All right, fine. Since Rogue and Cyclops are still in New York, Hank and I will start there."
Selene stated. "Blade, Amelia and I will try to find Bobby and this... Kitty, as you call her and convince them to come back to the manor."
Hank stated before they exited the sub-basement. "Selene: you, Blade and Amelia might want to take the new X-Chopper. It'll save you plenty of time to get back from Boston and wherever Kitty is."
After their vampire friends had flown off in the X-Chopper, Logan and Hank had gotten into Hank's personal car and drove off into the city while avoiding being spotted by the police or any humans who would've reported them to the M.R.D.
Meanwhile
A huge crowd had gathered as Senator Robert Kelly was giving off a speech about pushing forward with the Mutant Registration Act and announcing the completion of a new Mutant hunting/killing machine: the Sentinel Prowler...which immediately went on the attack, as it had detected Rogue in the crowd!
As Rogue attempted to run to avoid being captured, the Prowler gave chase and cornered her in an alley...which was when Warren/Angel had arrived and attempted to protect Rogue from the out of control Sentinel. Even though Angel had given the new Sentinel a decent challenge...he was unable to destroy the machine and was caught in a net that had him pinned to the ground!
As the Sentinel began to close in on Rogue...she heard a familiar voice giving off a feral growl/roar and glanced up to witness Logan leaping off the roof of a neighboring building and impaling his claws right through the Prowlet's armor and destroying its main power core!
However...the reunion between Logan and the young teenage girl was not a pleasant one: as Rogue was still angry at Logan for abandoning her before the explosion. Logan and Hank would try to persuade Rogue to come back to the mansion...only for her to strongly refuse: stating there would be no point for her to be there...and coldly pointing out that Logan would simply walk out on them, like he usually does.
Hank attempted to say. "Now hold it right there, Rogue, that is completely..."
Logan stated while cutting him off. "Hank...forget it. We can't force her to come back, especially if she doesn't want to." Before he looked softly into Rogue's eyes. "Rogue...I'm sorry for hurting you. I just thought you'd be better off staying at the Mansion, 'specially since Bobby, Kurt and the others were there."
Rogue stated softly before walking away. "It was just never the same when you weren't there."
As Logan, Hank and Warren watched Rogue walk away, they asked Angel if he was all right and he assured them he was before leaving, saying that the world needed the X-Men.
Meanwhile
Amelia, Selene and Blade had arrived in Boston and landed the chopper right outside the Drake residence. After informing Bobby that Logan and Hank had sent them and how they were rebuilding the X-Men...the young teenage boy had immediately climbed into the chopper with the two female vampires chuckling softly at the young Mutant's enthusiasm and spirited personality. After Bobby had informed the vampires that Kitty was on a boat heading to Genosha, they found the boat out on the ocean and after she saw Bobby on the X-Chopper, she smiled and immediately climbed on board as well...but was curious about the raccoon and the two women, who only said that they were 'friends' with Wolverine.
Later that night
Rogue was attacked by Toad in an alley...who she instantly defeated with her powers, while also gaining his in the process as her now frog-like tongue had sticked out of her mouth before going back in. "Uhh. What have you been eating? Bugs?"
That was when she found herself cornered by Quicksilver, Avalanche, Blob and Domino.
Rogue demanded to know what the Brotherhood wanted while getting into a fighting stance. "What do you guys want?"
Domino told her teammates to take a walk, so she and Rogue could talk privately... wanting to be alone with Rogue as she'd been watching her for some time. "Guys, how about you let the ladies have a moment?"
Even though Blob and Avalanche were annoyed by Domino thinking that she could call the shots...Quicksilver told them to be quiet, especially as he had agreed with his second in command's judgment and felt that she would be better suited to talk with the former X-Men.
Once Quicksilver and the others had walked away to give the two girls their privacy, Rogue said while standing on guard. "We got nothing to talk about."
Domino didn't believe that. "Sure we do. I mean, we are both mutants."
"Don't compare yourself to me. You're a mutant mercenary. Shouldn't you be chasing some big shot for money. I mean, that is what a mercenary does." Rogue told the marked mutant, knowing about Domino and her reputation as a mercenary.
"I used to be a mercenary. But then, the Brotherhood offered me a place with them to fight for all Mutant kind. And I...was getting tired of that line of work anyway and I wanted to... belong to something, just as you do." Domino revealed.
"Yeah, well at least when you were a mercenary, you could walk away from a job whenever you wanted. You just traded in one bad job for another and now you're making it hard for all of us." Rogue countered.
"It was hard long before I got involved with the Brotherhood and before we got involved with what's happening now. We're not the not the ones who picked this fight, Rogue, we're just standing up for ourselves and for the ones who can't fight back."
"By terrorizing the city?"
"By refusing to back down." Domino said before walking close to Rogue. "Rogue, don't you ever get tired of being bullied... for being hated, just because you're different? And now they want us to register. What's next, locking us up and never letting us see the light of day again? It's time we stop being victims. It's time we unite." She said before she gently put her left fingers on Rogue's chin to look into her eyes. "Rogue, you feel the same way, I know you do."
"You're asking me to join you?"
"We're not the X-Men. We don't abandon our own. Think about it, you can finally have a family who won't abandon each other when someone blows up our home. And you...get to have a friend who will stand by you...no matter what you decide or whatever happens... like me." Domino said softly as she touched Rogue's cheek, trying to convince Rogue that she would be happier with the Brotherhood. "Hang with us tonight, Rogue. Then you'll see how good it feels to get real results. We're planning to deliver a message to Senator Kelly: we're going to release other Mutants from the nearest M.R.D building...but we won't hurt anyone unless we absolutely have to." She said as she touched both of Rogue's cheeks, saying they were planning on destroying an M.R.D building to send a message to Senator Kelly and promising they wouldn't hurt anyone unless they needed to.
After they got to the nearest M.R.D base, Quicksilver used his speed to get inside the base and disable the Guards and the security systems before the others came inside. After Rogue used her absorbing powers to get access to the security codes, they freed the captured Mutants inside of the base and Avalanche used his power to destroy the entire building, after Quicksilver reluctantly, argument from Domino, got everyone out of it before they got out of the area.
After that, they went to Senator Kelly's home and destroyed it, to Rogue's reluctance before they went to Warren's father's house and Rogue, with gentle help from Domino, absorbed his memories to find out where Kelly would be, but not before Warren saw Rogue with the Brotherhood. Blob held onto the winged mutant, but Domino, wanting to keep her promise to Rogue, told him not to hurt Warren and they all left the area.
After they got to their headquarters, Rogue walked with Domino to the roof so they could talk. "See Rogue? I kept my promise that we wouldn't hurt anyone unless we absolutely needed to. And we freed some of our own kind while we were at it. We may have harmed some of those M.R.D bastards, but they deserved some of it.
"But... Avalanche destroyed someone's house."
"I know. But at least we checked to see that no one was in there first. And besides, if that Mutant Registration Act passed, it'll be our homes that get taken away. And besides... don't we deserve a bit of payback for everything he's done to us in the past?" Domino asked while slowly touching Rogue's hand.
"Well...I won't deny that we do, but...it feels like I didn't do a good deed...in my eyes, at least." Rogue said with remorse.
"Rogue, I know you have a very good heart, and I admire that about you. I really do, but there are people in this world who don't or won't listen to reason. Kelly is one of those people... unless he was somehow shown a future where no one wins, which I think is very impossible. Do you really think that if we do nothing, he'd stop imprisoning Mutants and just leave us alone? He's hated us the moment he found out that we exist, along with other people before him And there are other people out there who feel the exact same way. They would do what they're doing now, regardless if we fought back or not, just because we're different. And if they kept pushing, we'd have to fight back sooner or later anyway. You know it's true, and you know that I'm right." Domino said sweetly to Rogue.
Rogue listened to Domino and knew that she was right about most of what she had said. Regardless of whether or not they did something, Senator Kelly and others like him would attack Mutant kind just for being what they are. And unless he was somehow shown a future where no one would win, he'd never stop building those killing machines.
Domino then wanted to ask Rogue what she really wanted. She then put her arm around her and pulled her close to her. "Rogue, I wanna ask you something: what is it you really want more than anything in the world, besides a place where you could fit in and belong?"
Rogue looked surprised but felt that she could trust Domino, as she had been completely honest with her. And besides a few M.R.D agents, no innocent people had gotten hurt. So, with a sigh, she told her what she'd wanted. "I... wanna be... able to touch someone... without worrying about hurting or killing them when I do. I...want to be able to love and be able to express it physically and not just through words." She said before looking at her hand and a bit of anger. "But with this stupid absorbing power and the side effects that come with it, I can never have that!"
Domino seemed to feel sympathy for Rogue, as she knew that her Mutant power was more of a curse to her than a blessing, and for good reason. Her power came with a horrible side that she didn't know how to control and if there was anything she could do to help her, she would not hesitate.
The marked mutant then thought about something that she could do to help and took off her right glove and held up her palm. "I... think I can help you with that, Rogue. Why not...try to touch me? But go back into your memories and find out what holds you back to get full control of your power. Then concentrate very hard to overcome it while also concentrating very hard to not absorb my powers of memories unless you absolutely have to... and then, when you think you're ready, touch your hand on mine, and we'll see how long it lasts. If it works, let's go into a routine of practice together. Can you do that for me?"
Rogue wanted to say that it wouldn't work, but she knew that it was worth a try if she could finally touch someone. She then thought back to her past and found the exact thing that held her back to control her power...then, concentrating really hard to overcome it and on what she desired more than anything in the world, she slowly took off her left glove and slowly touched Domino's palm with hers. After a few seconds, it seemed like nothing bad had happened and they held their palms together.
It seemed like Domino's idea had worked and Rogue began to smile before she slowly entwined her fingers with Domino's, enjoying the feeling of finally being able to touch someone without something covering her skin. But then they separated their hands with smiles on their faces. "See, Rogue? You did great, and I didn't feel anything being taken and I don't feel like I'm going to pass out."
"Thanks, Domino. It...felt so great to finally be able to touch someone like that. I... haven't been able to do it since I can remember." Rogue said happily as she hugged Domino as tears came from her eyes. "And that routine thing you wanted to do with me? I'd love to take you up on that offer."
"Okay, Rogue. But first, I want you to do something for me. It's the next phase of the plan... and it'll secure your place in the Brotherhood, so we can continue this new thing between us. Eventually, maybe we can do...a lot more... starting with something special after tomorrow is over." Domino said softly and sweetly as she rubbed Rogue's left cheek with her uncovered index finger.
Rogue smiled as she touched Domino's cheek while doing what the marked mutant had said to control her power. "I'm listening."
Meanwhile
After their not so happy reunion with Rogue, Logan and Hank had returned to the X-Mansion, which was when their vampire friends had returned in the new X-Chopper and after they landed, Bobby and Kitty had exited the chopper with Blade, Selene and Amelia right behind them.
The moment they spotted Hank, Kitty had embraced the blue furred Mutant, which he kindly returned while Bobby stated while shaking Logan's hand. "Damn Logan, you have no idea how good it is to see you."
Wolverine stated with a genuine grin on his face. "Likewise, kid."
Kitty asked after releasing her hold on Beast. "Where's everybody else? Where are Scott and Rogue?"
Beast stated softly. "Logan and I...didn't exactly have the best luck with Scott. He doesn't wish to return to the team...for obvious reasons and Rogue doesn't want to come back either."
Bobby stated softly with a frown on his face, as he understood what Hank was saying. "So...you're saying for right now it's just me, Kitty, you and Logan?"
Blade stated while correcting the young X-Man. "It's not just the four of you, kid. You've also got us... temporarily until we find your Professor."
Kitty asked softly. "Who are the three of you? You told me and Bobby that you're 'friends' of Logan...but you never told us your names."
Amelia stated softly while introducing herself, Selene and Blade. "My name is Amelia. This is my girlfriend Selene and our brother, Blade."
Bobby asked as he and Kitty were surprised when the female vampire said Blade was their sibling. "Brother? But...he looks nothing like the two of you."
Kitty asked the most obvious question. "Are the three of you Mutants?"
Selene stated softly. "Unfortunately...neither of us are Mutants. But...what we're about to say...may sound a bit difficult for you and Bobby to understand…or believe, miss Kitty."
Bobby asked, confused along with Kitty. "What do you mean?"
Blade answered before giving a soft sigh and taking off his shades. "We're...vampires."
Kitty and Bobby asked, deeply shocked. "W-What? What did you just say?"
Even though they didn't want to, Amelia, Selene and Blade shared a silent nod before revealing their vampiric traits to the two teenagers...who backed away, greatly frightened.
Bobby shouted while tripping over a piece of rubble that was still on the floor. "Holy shit!"
Kitty cried out as well. "Oh my God!"
After Logan and Hank had calmed Bobby and Kitty down, Blade and his vampires had sat down and shared their pasts with the two teenage boy and girl, revealing how they became vampires: how the Raccoon Daywalker was cursed into being what he was when Deacon Frost had entered his world and attacked/turned his mother and how Amelia had rescued/met Selene after Viktor had murdered her entire family and lied to them by having them believe that their ancient enemies, the Lycans had done it before discovering the truth, along with everything that came after they became what they became.
As they had listened to Blade, Amelia and Selene sharing their stories with them, Bobby, Kitty, Hank and especially Logan had felt great sympathy for their vampire friends...as they had their entire lives/worlds destroyed and were cursed to live their existence as creatures of the night, which was a fate that nobody deserved.
After the vampires had finished sharing their pasts, Bobby and Kitty were no longer afraid of Blade, Selene and Amelia, especially after hearing them reveal that they didn't attack and feed on humans to survive and how they mainly survived feeding on blood they discreetly stole from blood banks and fed on forest/farm animals occasionally, with Blade revealing that he also fed on humans evil to the core.
Before they could talk any further, that was when Angel/Warren had arrived and landed on the schoolground. After he embraced Kitty and Bobby, Angel had handed Logan a check and stated. "Logan, I have some good news I think you and Hank are going to like. I was able to convince my father to write a check of $500,000 to help 'endorse' Senator Kelly...which will be more than enough to rebuild the X-Mansion, along with the sub basements and more importantly...help repair Cerebro."
Hank stated with a genuine smile on his face. "Warren...thank you. With this money, we should be able to rebuild the Mansion in no time."
Bobby asked with a huge smile on his face, along with Kitty. "We're building our home?"
Logan replied. "We're rebuilding our home, kiddo."
Angel stated softly. "Logan...there's 2 other things you and Hank should know: Rogue's joined the Brotherhood. They attacked our house so they could get information from my father."
"What were they after?"
"Senator Kelly's itinerary. They now know everything my father knows, so they're going to take down the senator... probably by killing him." Warren revealed while also remembering what Domino did for Rogue. "But Domino, seeing that Rogue didn't want anyone hurt, told the others to just leave once they got what they wanted. But here's the 2nd thing you should know. Emma Frost is coming back to New York. She called me a few hours ago and said that she would be here in a week or two."
Hank asked softly. "Emma is coming back...to New York?"
Logan stated while pinching the ridge of his nose slightly in irritation. "Oh, that's just great."
Selene asked as she and Amelia had no idea who Logan, Hank and Warren were talking about. "Who the hell is Emma Frost?"
Blade answered his sister's question plain and simple. "Jean Grey's... girlfriend. They got together a few months after Summers attacked me. A few weeks after, she told Jean that was going away for a while on business. She offered her a chance to go with her, but she said her place was at the Institute. Emma accepted that and she promised she'd come back once her business was taken care of. But I thought she must have heard about the blast and came straight back here to search for Jean?"
"She did. But a few weeks after the blast and the others went their separate ways, she found out that Cerebro was too damaged for her to look for anyone that way. And when Jean wasn't anywhere to be found, she went off on her own to look for her and said that if she found her or if Cerebro had been repaired, she'd come back here." Logan explained softly.
"There is no time for this now. What are we going to do about this... Brotherhood?" Selene asked.
"We stop them, that's what." Logan answered.
"Wait. Before we do that, I'm going to see a certain Mutant genius and put him on Cerebro duty... and then this...Blackbird aircraft you've told me about. If Emma is coming back, those 2 things are going to be vital for finding your other friends." Blade said before going to the Danger Room and fighting some of the practice drones before quickly destroying them and getting to the mutant genius, Forge. "Nice to see you as well, Forge."
"Blade? What are you doing here?" Forge asked with surprise before letting him in.
"I need you to hold off on repairing the Danger Room and focus on completing this Cerebro and your Blackbird aircraft. Emma Frost is coming back here and once she finds either the Professor or Jean, it will be vital to getting that aircraft fixed." Blade answered softly.
Forge seemed to understand that, as he wanted to find the Professor and Jean as well. "I'll get right on it, Blade." He said with a wolf smile before Blade began walking away. "Oh, and... it's good to see you again, Blade. And I'm sorry for what happened to you when Cyclops attacked you when you were first here, we all still are."
"Thank you, Forge." Blade said with a gentle smile before leaving the room. When he got to the X-Chopper, he saw that Rogue was with them, surprised that she was here.
When Rogue saw the Raccoon Daywalker, she was very surprised that he was back after years of being away. "Blade, you're back?"
"Before you say anything, she told us where and when the Brotherhood would strike at Senator Kelly. And she wants to come back because she isn't an assassin like those Brotherhood clowns." Logan explained as Amelia and Selene nodded to confirm what he was saying.
While Blade didn't fully believe that, he knew that he had no reason to doubt Selene and Amelia, as well as knowing what Rogue's powers were and what they did to others. So, reluctantly, he agreed and sat down. Why do I get the feeling that Rogue is up to something?" He thought to himself.
After getting to where Rogue said the Brotherhood would strike, Shadowkat phased them inside of the building as Domino used metal rounds to bring down some of the roof as the press conference, which was really a setup to start the Mutant Registration Act, was starting. After fighting with the M.R.D agents, with Blade and his vampire sisters killing the ones they fought while everything was caught on camera, and Warren saving Rogue from getting captured before she ran out of the building, Blade and Logan realized that the Brotherhood was not striking, making them realize that it was all a setup before they, along with the others ran out of the building and escaped with Warren's help.
After they got back to the manor, they saw another press conference which had senator Kelly announcing that the Mutant Registration Act was to be signed the next day with permission by the president himself, which also included Blade and his vampire sisters. But fortunately, Kelly announced that they were new Mutants that have recently joined the X-Men, so they didn't have to worry about the world knowing about vampires.
"Logan, the M.R.D doesn't have Rogue. She probably just took off, blaming herself possibly." Warren, who had just gotten off the phone, told Logan.
"Or... she's still with the Brotherhood and this was her idea... probably to set us up and prove her loyalty to them." Blade corrected, having known that Rogue was up to something.
"That could be possible. That little talk about wanting to come back must have been an act to get us to believe her. Must say she's a born actor, got to give her that." Selene said with contempt for Rogue.
"And now we're right smack in the middle of it. And because all that bullshit was on national TV, they'll be after us, too. Now it's not just the Council that Selene, Blade and I must worry about. We're going to have to take on other Mutants and those M.R.D bastards, too." Amelia said with annoyance.
Later at night at the Brotherhood headquarters
As Domino was playing pool, and winning while the others watched, the doors suddenly opened. "Great job out there today."
"Yeah. In one fell swoop, you set up the X-Men and proved your loyalty to the Brotherhood. Welcome aboard." Quicksilver said...as Rogue came inside, revealing that she was the one who set up the X-Men.
After celebrating with her new comrades, Domino took Rogue to the roof after the southern mutant took off her full uniform and they sat down together. "You did really great out there today, Rogue. And this is just the first step to helping all Mutant kind."
"But... what about the X-Men? You know they'll do everything they possibly can to stop us." Rogue said with concern.
"I... don't know. But we can only hope that they'll see that we're just trying to defend ourselves and... maybe they'll fight with us." Domino said while wrapping her arm around Rogue's shoulder. "But I'm more curious about that guy I saw in my scope. That... raccoon guy and those two women that were with him. Do you know who they are?"
Rogue knew that this was going to be difficult to explain, and even more difficult for Domino to believe. But she was willing to try. "Well, the raccoon looking guy you saw: his name's Blade and he's an off/on again friend and occasional ally to Wolverine. I met him a few years ago and I thought he was a Mutant, but he's not."
"If he's not a Mutant then what else could he be?" Domino asked, wondering what that raccoon guy could be if he wasn't a Mutant.
"Well... that's the hard part to explain. He's...a vampire." She said with nervousness. When Domino wanted to say something, Rogue held up her hand. "Before you say anything, Domino, I'm not making it up. Blade is a vampire, and he's got everything that comes with being one, especially the bloodthirst. But he doesn't have any of their weaknesses, especially to daylight, which explains why he can walk in the sun without exploding. But he's only half vampire, so that means his other half overcomes the need to drink as much as any normal one. But unfortunately, he wasn't turned into a vampire, he was born one. But he uses his powers to hunt other vampires out there. Trust me, Domino, I didn't believe it either but after everything Wolverine told me about him and seeing him a few years ago, I thought otherwise."
"So...if he really is a vampire, then why's he with the X-Men? Shouldn't he be hunting vampires somewhere? Or is there some secret vampire plot going on in the city that only he knows about? I mean, I know I shouldn't believe in vampires, but no one believed in people with powers like ours, and look at the world we live in now."
"Well, I don't really know why he's back, but I do know that he goes to places he's most needed. As for the two women that were with him... I didn't really have time to get to know their names before I bailed, but I have a feeling that we're gonna be seeing them around for a while." Rogue answered honestly.
"Well, whatever they're doing here, I have a feeling that we'll find out soon enough." Domino said before smiling at Rogue. "So… up for some more practice?"
"Sure." Rogue said with a smile before taking off her gloves as Domino took off hers. The southern mutant then did what she did last night and they slowly touched each other's hands together, seeing nothing bad happening and making Rogue smile. "Thank you, Domino, for this. I've dreamed about this since I first discovered what my power was."
"Call me Dom, Rogue. I think it suits you perfectly." Domino said with a sweet smile.
"Okay, Dom, and you can call me...Marie. it's my name." Rogue said with the same smile.
"Okay...Marie." Domino said before thinking about something else they could try together. "Say, Marie, would you like to try something else for our new practice routine?"
"I don't see why not...since you're the first person I've touched in...so many years." Rogue said with a smile. "What do you have in mind?"
"Not here. Let's head to my room." Domino suggested before gently taking Rogue's bare hand in hers and led her to her room. After carefully looking around and seeing that no one was coming, she shut the door and locked it before sitting on the bed next to Rogue. "Okay, I know that this is going to probably be uncomfortable for you, Marie...but would you like me to…no, forget it. Just forget it."
"What, Dom? Tell me."
"I... can't. Like I said, It'll probably make you uncomfortable. And I don't want to ruin what we already have." Domino said with uncertainty.
Rogue took Domino's hands in her while concentrating and speaking gently to her. "Dom... you can tell me anything. Just ask me what you would like to do, and I'll listen before deciding anything. It's the least I can do after the great gift you've given me."
Domino still looked uncertain but looked Rogue in the eyes before reluctantly asking. "Marie... would you like me to...kiss you?"
Rogue was surprised to hear that before she started thinking. Sure, she'd never been with anyone before and she most definitely hadn't thought of being with another woman. But with Domino, after the great gift she'd given her, it strangely felt right. So, she put her bare hands on Domino's cheeks with a smile, with her eyes halfway shut as she whispered so only they could hear. "Kiss me... Dom, please?"
Domino slowly smiled... before touching Rogue's cheeks and leaning in and giving her a short kiss. After they separated, with nothing bad happening to the former mercenary mutant, she smiled. "Did you like it?"
Rogue wrapped her arms around her neck and smiled seductively. "Why'd you stop, Dom? Practice isn't over yet. Not even close."
Domino seemed to like Rogue this way before they both kicked their shoes/boots off and laid down on the bed and began to make out slowly at first before it became more passionate and lustful, with Rogue concentrating very hard on what she wanted most in the world, which was the woman laying on top of her right now. The marked mutant then slowly reached behind Rogue's head and gently pulled out her headpiece, letting the rest of her hair free before she ran her fingers through it, finding it to be very soft as Rogue moaned and ran her fingers through Domino's hair, finding that she liked it.
But after a few more minutes of making out, they separated with saliva connecting them still before they smiled lovingly at each other. "Rogue, would you... like to...go out with me...as my girlfriend?"
Rogue smiled as tears formed in her eyes before she touched Domino's cheeks. "I... would like that, Dom. But I think I should be going before anyone sees us like this. And then... tomorrow...if we don't have anything to do, we can have that little date." She said with love before she reluctantly got up and took her shoes and gloves and gave Domino one last kiss before heading to her own room that she'd been shown to during their celebration.
Domino watched her leave and enter her room before closing the door and leaning on it with her hand on her heart before sliding down to the floor as tears fell from her eyes, thinking about Rogue as she said to herself mentally while beginning to cry a bit with her hands on her face. "Oh Rogue- Marie, I promise with all my heart, that no matter what happens from here on out, I'm going to do anything and everything in my power to make sure that I make you feel like the most special and happiest woman in the world, whatever your choices are... forever."
2 weeks later
The X-Mansion was almost completely repaired, thanks to Warren asking a favor to his father to use some of his money to pay a construction crew to repair the X-Mansion, thinking that it was just an ordinary prep school, with Warren saying that they would have their furniture before leaving.
After he left, Hank met with Blade and Logan andstated softly. "Logan...you do know that Scott will never agree to return to the mansion, especially if he sees Emma... and you, Blade."
That was when a different female voice replied in an English accent. "Well, he'll just have to get over his bloody problems."
Logan and the others had slowly glanced towards the newly repaired front gate, as they spotted Emma Frost standing beside a rental car with her arms folded to her hips.
The blonde telepath stated plainly. "Hank...Logan." Before seeing a familiar raccoon hybrid. "Hello, Blade, it's great to see you again, though I wish it was under better circumstances."
Beast greeted with a warm smile. "Hello Emma."
"It's... good to see you too, Emma. Though, I too, wish it was under better circumstances. And... I'm sorry for what happened to Jean." Blade said softly with regret at what happened to Jean.
"It's all right, Blade. You weren't there because of what Summers nearly did to you and that your place was out there hunting vampires, so you had nothing to do with it, so I don't blame you in any way for what happened. Though I am still sorry for what happened when you were last here, everyone was, even Charles." Emma said with sympathy for what happened, both in the past and the present.
Logan simply rolled his eyes and muttered softly. "Frost."
Emma stated while rolling her eyes as well. "If it's any consolation to you, Logan, I'm not exactly happy to see you either. But when I heard about the X-Men getting back together, I thought both Jean and Charles had been found."
Hank asked softly. "So...you haven't had any luck either?"
Emma stated truthfully while thinking of Jean. "I haven't had any success in locating Jean. But with Cerebro repaired, I can at least find the Professor... and her."
Then let's get you to Cerebro right away, miss Emma. The sooner you find them, the sooner you can bring them back here and we can get out of this city." Amelia said while holding Selene close.
"You're all leaving?" Kitty asked while she and Bobby walked up to them.
"But... you guys can't leave. The M.R.D are going to be looking for you guys after that incident two weeks ago. You guys leave and they'll find you and lock all three of you up." Bobby said with concern for their new vampire friends.
"They're right. In fact, we were all hoping that you'd stay with us. I know you're both not mutants, but you are more than welcome to stay. And you said that the vampire council is hunting you for killing Viktor and now the M.R.D are as well." Hank said with equal concern. "If you leave, you'll both be in even more danger than you are right now."
"We know that, Hank, but we've stayed here for too long already. There's still vampires out there that continue to feed on the innocent people who are unaware that they exist. And until the world is swept clean of them, my life's work is not over." Blade said, remembering the vow he took when he killed Deacon Frost and avenged every innocent soul he'd ever killed.
"And since we've left our world behind and we travel with Blade, our place is with him, and that makes his life's work our life's work now as well." Selene added after her hybrid brother.
"That won't need to change, Blade. You can still hunt vampires. All we're asking is that you, Selene and Amelia consider staying for a while longer before deciding anything right away." Kitty said as she held Blade's arm gently.
The 3 vampires began to think about what their Mutant friends were saying and knew deep down that they were right. Not only were the vampire council after them now, but also the M.R.D and potentially the government as well now that Senator Kelly was onto them because of their involvement with the X-Men. And because of it, the only place they could be safe now was here, but they also had a responsibility to hunt vampires as Blade had always done. "We'll think about it and give you our answer when Charles and Jean are safely back home." The Raccoon Daywalker said, making Bobby and Kitty sigh in relief.
They then led Emma to the Cerebro chamber and the blonde telepath read Forge's mind to know how to operate it. Once she put the helmet on and activated it, she began to search for Jean first. But much to her sadness, she couldn't find her anywhere, so she searched for the Professor and quickly found him...in the most unlikely place.
Emma took off the helmet, she told everyone who she had found. "I... didn't find Jean, but...I did find the Professor."
After they heard the words leave Emma's lips, Logan's and the others eyes widened in surprise and Kitty asked. "You found the Professor?"
The blonde telepath nodded softly and Bobby asked. "Emma, where is he?"
Emma stated softly, as she knew they wouldn't like the answer. "Well, that's the part you chaps are not going to like. For he's on...Genosha."
Logan, Hank, Bobby and Kitty stared shocked/stunned beyond words after hearing where the Professor was and Hank asked softly. "Charles...is on Genosha?"
Logan asked softly. "How the hell did he end up there?'
Blade asked as he, Selene and Amelia turned to each other deeply confused as to what the problem was, "Someone want to fill us in? What the hell is Genosha?"
Logan answered. "An island that's supposedly a 'safe haven' for Mutants to live in peace without being targeted by the Mardies or ordinary Humans."
Selene asked as she, Amelia and Blade could tell there was something else to the island. "Well, what's wrong with this island if it's supposed to be a haven for Mutants?"
Beast answered for Logan. "There's nothing wrong with the island itself...it's the person who runs it and acts as its leader that's the problem."
Amelia asked with a raised eyebrow. "And who is that?"
Logan answered plain and simple. "Magneto."
"Wait... Charles' friend?" Blade asked, having been told about Magneto and how despite him being possibly the X-Men's greatest enemy, he and Charles still were dear friends despite being at odds.
"Yeah. And that only means one thing: Magento is the one responsible for blowing up the Mansion!" Logan said with anger as he began walking out the chamber.
"Logan, wait! If you're thinking of trying to attack Magneto, forget about it now! Magneto would never do something like that, especially not to Charles. He values him as a friend too much to do something like that." Blade said sternly while following him with Hank.
"Blade's right, Logan. Perhaps we should try to make contact with Magneto first before doing anything rash." Hank said, agreeing with the Raccoon Daywalker.
"Oh, I intend to make contact with him, and it's long overdue." Logan said with contempt for Magneto. "Don't you two get it? Magneto had to have been responsible for what happened!"
"That supports no evidence that I've collected. There were no fluctuations in the magnetic field." Hank told his friend, having collected no evidence that Magneto was behind the blast.
"We know that he's got Charles, and that's what matters." Logan countered.
"Where are you going?" Blade asked.
"To get back an old X-Men." Logan answered.
But Blade stopped him by grabbing his shoulder. "If you're talking about that bastard Cyclops, forget it, Logan. I don't ever want to see him again, especially after what he tried to do to me. And if he so much as tries to lay a hand on Selene and Amelia, nothing will stop me from draining him dry." He said with hatred for Cyclops. "So, either we're doing this without him, or we don't do it at all!"
Logan knew he couldn't change Blade's mind, as he was just as stubborn as he was. But he also didn't want anything to happen to Cyclops, as it was what Charles would want. And be also remembered that the last time Blade was here, Cyclops almost killed Blade and threatened to finish him if he ever came back to the X-Mansion. So reluctantly, he agreed with a nod. "All right, Blade, we'll do it without him. Let's tell everyone to suit up."
After they had suited up and boarded the Blackbird, Logan and his team had arrived at Genosha...where Wolverine had told the X-Men to sneak in and find Charles without alerting Magneto, which failed as the elderly Mutant had captured them all as they tried in vain to fight him, which was a failure as they fought him where he had the complete advantage, and Logan and Blade having metal inside of their bodies didn't help either, as Magneto had complete control over them and the Daywalker's weapons, especially his claws, which he threatened to kill Selene and Amelia with, along with Emma and Hank for the X-Men breaking into his house and looking for trouble.
"Logan, you bastard! I told you that we should have contacted him first before doing something this stupid!" Blade said with understandable anger at the metal-boned Mutant.
"Grrrrhhhh! Shut your furry trap up, Blade!" Wolverine yelled out before Magneto put metal over his mouth to shut him up.
Magneto then flew in front of the Raccoon Daywalker while looking at his weapons and claws. "Impressive arsenal, Daywalker. Made for hunting...vampires, I presume?" He asked before taking the sword into his hand. "But this sword deserves the most admiration. Made by yourself, I see." He said with admiration for the sword before seeing his claws. "I don't recall Charles telling me about the claws. What on Earth happened to you to get them?" Before looking at Wolverine. "One of Wolverine's private businesses, no doubt?"
"Unfortunately yes, Magento. And it's his fault for this as well." Selene said with a glare at Wolverine for getting them into trouble again.
"It is, isn't it, my dear? And what would Charles think of this little commando raid of his? I dare say that he wouldn't approve." Magneto said politely.
"Magneto, we didn't come here to fight you, we just came for Charles. We know he's here, so I ask you politely: will you take us to him?" Blade asked politely.
Magneto smiled at the Daywalker's politeness and released them all, including Wolverine. "I appreciate your politeness, Daywalker. And for that, I will." He answered while giving Blade his weapons back to him. He then led them to the medical bay, where Professor Xavier was resting peacefully in an incubation chamber and attached to a life support system. "He appeared on my island one week ago. We found him on our coastline, unconscious on the rocks."
The X-Men walked up to the unconscious professor's side and Emma checked his head before saying sadly. "He has no brain activity."
The X-Men were all saddened at this as Magneto spoke gently while looking at his dear friend in sadness. "Charles is a dear friend. All I've been doing is caring for him."
But Wolverine, being the aggressive mutant that he is, didn't believe that. "More like keeping an eye on him. We both know you're afraid of Charles." He said before growling at Magneto.
But that only got him punched in the face by Blade. "Enough, Wolverine, you've caused enough trouble for us for one day."
"The question is...will you let us take him home?" Hank asked politely.
"Of course. You are his children. And his place is with you." Magneto said politely, knowing where his dear friend's place was. "However I wish you would consider making Genosha your home. No more violence between us, no more-" He offered before Wolverine cut him off.
"Yeah, we've seen the billboards. Thanks but no thanks." The metal-boned Mutant said.
"The offer stands. Only next time you visit, Wolverine, follow your vampire friend's advice and make contact first. And use the front door." Magneto said before walking away.
Once they loaded the Professor onto the plane, the X-Men and their vampire friends had returned home to the mansion and placed Charles in their own medical bay and stared at him in sadness.
"We'll find a way to bring you back, Charles. No matter what it takes or how long." Logan promised.
But suddenly, they all heard a whispering voice, calling out to them. And as they listened very carefully, they began to recognize the voice. "Correct me if I'm wrong but that sounds a lot like-" Hank said before Logan finished for him.
"Charles."
"I'm...here." The voice spoke a bit more clearly.
"This is impossible." Emma said with disbelief that even a telepath could speak to anyone while having no brain activity.
Suddenly, a flash of light came from Charles' bed and a floating projection of the professor's head appeared before Logan, who took off his mask, and Blade walked up to it. "Charles, is that really you?" Blade asked with surprise.
"It's good to see you, old friend. We thought you would never return." Charles said with a bit of joy that Blade had returned at last before he looked and saw Selene and Amelia, who were also surprised at what they were seeing. "Lady Selene, Lady Amelia, it is great to finally meet you at last. Blade has told me so much about the two of you."
Selene and Amelia were surprised that Charles knew who they were until they remembered that he was a telepathic Mutant, making them both smile a bit. "It's... good to finally meet you, Professor. Though, we wish it wasn't like this." Amelia greeted.
"Charles, who did this to you?" Logan asked his mentor.
Charles looked down in sadness before speaking to them all. "I wish I knew. I remember nothing."
Hank then spoke. "Charles, there was an unexplained blast at the Institute. You've been missing, and sadly, despite Emma returning and using Cerebro, Jean still is."
Charles was surprised by this before he spoke urgently. "My X-Men, my friends, time is limited. I've come to you all with an urgent message."
Logan was confused by this. "Come to us? From where?"
"The future." Charles answered before explaining. "The coma you see me in now will last for twenty years. I've just awoken from it, and the future I'm in...is a nightmare." He said before showing them all an apocalyptic world that was yet to come until 20 years from now.
The cities were all destroyed with some of the buildings still on fire and the skies were so polluted by the smoke that not a shred of blue skies or clouds were nowhere to be seen. The only things that were not destroyed were the giant Sentinel robots that were patrolling the streets, seemingly looking for anything alive to destroy, most likely surviving mutants!
To say that the X-Men and the 3 vampires were shocked at seeing this was a complete understatement. This apocalyptic world was horrifying and they could not believe that this was going to happen in 20 years. Hank then asked, wondering how it was going to come to this horrible sight. "Charles, how does it come to this?"
"Because of the X-Men." Charles answered as he changed the room back to what it was.
"What are you saying?" Logan asked.
Charles then explained why. "Each of you will admit defeat and walk away. Only together do you stand a chance. Only as a team can you change the course of the future." He said before looking at Wolverine and Blade. "And the two of you, Logan and Blade, must lead them."
"Lead them with Logan? Charles... I'm not a leader of anyone, and you know it. This is not our fight." Blade said with surprise.
"Blade's right, Charles, this is yours and the X-Men's battle to fight. We're just visitors here." Amelia told the wise Mutant.
"Besides, we've stayed here for too long already. Our fight is with vampires, not Mutants. We're sure that Logan can handle leading on his own. He doesn't need our brother to do that." Selene added after her lover, knowing that their place was hunting and killing vampires, not playing around with heros.
But Charles then explained why Blade and his vampire sisters being here was vital to saving the future. "But you're all wrong, my friends. You 3 became part of this the moment you helped Logan rescue that family. I know that you feel this is not your fight, but you must know this: the 3 of you leaving now was only the first step of the X-Men walking away. Without you, Blade, Logan could not lead, as some of his decisions had put the team in danger, which in turn, caused them to walk away. And in doing so, it drove the 3 of you apart. While you go your own way, Selene and Amelia were eventually captured by their own kind and put to death...right in front of your eyes, just as Viktor condemned his own daughter and unborn grandchild so many years ago. Although what happened to you, Blade, I know not. For that future not to come to pass, you all must stay with the X-Men, my friends."
Although Selene and Amelia didn't know Charles the way the X-Men or their hybrid brother did, they somehow knew in their hearts that he was right. And Blade knew it as well. But he also remembered that he'd dedicated his life to hunting and killing vampires, as it was all he'd ever known since he set foot in this world so many years ago.
Charles read their minds and knew that he had to get them to stay no matter what, so he spoke gently to them. "My friends, I know that you have no reason to stay here, as mutants are not your kind and our battles are not yours. But right now, more than anywhere else in the world, your place is here now. Do not abandon your new friends. They cannot win this without you all." He said before he said his final words. "I must go, but I will try to make contact with you all again." Before his projection faded.
Logan knew that this wasn't their fight but if his decisions would be what caused that horrible future and Blade would be needed to help him make the decisions that would prevent it from coming to pass, he'd need to go along with Charles. "Blade, Selene, Amelia, stay. Please. If he's right, then you'll be needed here more than anywhere else in the world right now."
"They're right, Blade, we have to stay. You saw what the future holds and Charles told us about ours. And I for one am not going to let history repeat itself." Selene said with determination, getting a nod from Amelia.
"And besides, they've grown quite fond of you three for you to leave now, and so have I, Blade. Jean would want you to stay as well, and the loved ones you've lost would tell you the exact same thing, even Noah Van Helsing would agree with us if I called him right now." Emma said softly as she put a hand on Blade's shoulder.
After a few minutes, Blade put his hand on Emma's and smiled a bit. "All right, we'll stay. But only once that horrible future is prevented. After that, Selene, Amelia and I go our own way. But until that time comes, whatever problems you all have now, get over them. Because as of right now, there's nothing more important than stopping that horrible future from coming to pass, by any means necessary."
Wolverine stood beside his hybrid vampire friend and temporary fellow leader. "Blade's right. Whatever's eating away at us, we get past it. We rise to the occasion because we're a team, and we got a job to do." He said before putting his mask back on. "The world needs the X-Men, now more than ever."
There you go, my dear friends, the first of many chapters involving the X-Men is complete. Starting now, Blade and his vampire sisters are temporary members of the X-Men and I have plans for this part of the story. Stay tuned for some surprises, rate and review, and I'll see you all soon, my dear friends.
