Wolverine, Blade, Selene and Amelia meet an old friend
Somewhere in the Canadian wilderness, a small squad of SHIELD operatives were running for their lives, as they were being chased by some unseen 'creature'. As the troops continued to run through the forest, the squad leader contacted the helicopter through his radio and requested to be picked up for an immediate extraction. As the troopers continued to run for the extraction point...that was when the 'creature' they were fleeing from had swiftly snatched them off, one by one in the icy mist!
After the squad leader made it to the landing spot and boarded the chopper, he told the pilot. "Go, go, GO! Get us the hell outta here!"
The pilot would ask. "Where's the rest of your team?"
The squad leader replied. "They didn't make it! Just go!" Once the chopper had taken off in the air, the two soldiers had thought they were in the clear...which didn't last long: as someone or something had thrown a large boulder, which struck the tail rotor and caused the chopper to fall! As the chopper plummeted out of the sky, the squad leader stared in horror...as he spotted who it was that tossed the boulder: the Hulk!
Meanwhile back in New York
Wolverine, Blade, Selene and Amelia were facing off against a large platoon of MRD soldiers that were armed with newly created Taser batons...which Logan and the Raccoon Daywalker sliced in half with their claws while the two vampiress lovers defeated the MRD's with well placed roundhouse kicks to their faces!
As the MRD soldiers, led by their squad leader were about to open fire on Wolverine and his vampire allies with their newly created taser guns...that was when a SHIELD issued Osprey had suddenly arrived and landed.
However, once the cargo doors opened...Blade had glared and snarled angrily, as he spotted an all too familiar face, who he had hoped to never see again: Nick Fury, who ordered the MRD troops to stand down and left, especially when the squad leader was ordered by his superiors to return to HQ.
Shortly after the MRD had left, Wolverine stated sarcastically while removing the hood to his costume. "Hey Nick...long time no see."
Fury stated casually. "Hello Logan. Nice to see as well." Before he stated plainly while turning to a certain raccoon/vampire hybrid. "Blade."
The Daywalker replied with a look of contempt towards the African American colonel and arms crossed against his chest. "Fury."
Both Selene and Amelia would notice the glare on their brother's face and the ex-Death Dealer asked. "Blade, you know this man?"
The Raccoon Daywalker replied plain and simple. "We've met."
Before the two female vampires could ask their brother how he knew the mysterious African American man, Fury stated. "How about the five of us talk somewhere more...private, Logan? I'll even buy you a coffee."
Wolverine stated while turning to his vampire allies. "I think we would've been better off taking our chances with the Mardies."
Blade replied with the glare still on his face. "I'm going to have to agree with you on that, Logan."
Later that night at a diner
Fury and Logan would be sitting behind a booth while Blade, Amelia and Selene were sitting/leaning against the counter.
Logan asked after the waitress poured him a cup of coffee. "So what do you want Nick? Cause I know you didn't go to all the trouble of tracking me down for a social call."
Fury would state while chuckling softly. "I see you're still a 'cut to the chase' person Logan. Well, you're right about one thing: I didn't come looking for you and your 'friends' for a social visit. SHIELD has been tracking an old friend of yours...and I believe Blade and his female friends might be familiar with him as well: the Hulk."
After they heard Fury say that he and his people had been tracking the Hulk, Blade stated with a glare on his face, as he knew that the immoral colonel had something to do with it. "What the fuck did you and your asshole agents do, Fury?"
Even though the SHIELD agents turned and glared angrily at the raccoon/vampire hybrid for calling them 'assholes'...they simply backed off, especially once they saw the intimidating glares the Daywalker, Wolverine and two vampiress lovers were giving them.
Fury replied while keeping his anger in check. "My people and I had nothing to do with Banner turning into the Hulk. We've been looking into the disappearance of multiple people who've either been hiking or camping in the Canadian Rockies. The local authorities have reported spotting a monster in the forest. We reached out to Dr. Banner and asked him to create a cure and I sent a strike team as a protection detail to ensure Banner's safety during the mission."
Selene would ask. "So what happened?"
Fury replied. "We don't exactly know ourselves. We lost contact with the team and the only message we received from the pilot was that Banner had turned into the Hulk and attacked the chopper, causing it to crash."
Logan asked. "What's that got to do with me, Blade, Selene and Amelia?"
Fury answered. "Due your history with the Hulk, along with Blade and his sister's friendship with him...I figured the four of you would be able to reason with him."
Blade stated while scoffing as he, Logan and his sisters knew there was something that Fury wasn't telling them, and that they'd all had had enough of dealing with the Hulk, especially the Raccoon Daywalker since it caused him nothing but pain both times and he wasn't sure if he could handle another. "Not interested."
Before they could leave the diner, Nick stated darkly. "Katherine Pryde, Robert Drake, Emma Frost, Hank McCoy, Ororo, Aka Storm and Kurt Wagner...it'd be a complete shame if you never saw them again, Logan, along with the newly rebuilt school in Westchester. And it would be very, very bad for an order of vampires to know where three certain fugitives who killed 2 of their Elders are hiding."
Wolverine and his vampire friends turned to the immoral colonel while clenching their fists, only for his agents to aim their weapons right at them!
Fury stated smugly. "Help find the Hulk and discover what happened in Canada and that information stays a secret."
Blade snarled angrily. "You son of a bitch, Fury."
Fury asked with a dark grin on his face. "What's wrong, Mr. Daywalker? You still blame yourself for what happened to Makoto or your buddy Stan Dav..."
Before Logan and the two female vampires could even react...Blade had landed a powerful punch to Fury's face, which sent blood spewing from his mouth and slammed his arm up against the colonel's throat!
Blade growled through gritted teeth with his vampiric traits showing, along with his eyes glowing green through his shades. "Never speak their names again!"
Logan, Selene and Amelia used their strength to pull Blade back with the mutant shouting. "Blade, let him go! He's not worth it!"
Amelia and her lover replied. "Blade, no! No!"
While Blade wanted nothing more than to slice Fury apart or drain him dry of every last drop of blood, he didn't want the entire government... and most certainly not the Avengers on his tail. So reluctantly, he let the immoral colonel go while still showing his vampire traits. "Fury, one day you won't have nothing or no one to save you! And when that day comes, you had better watch your back, because I'll be draining you dry of every last drop of your blood!"
"Believe me, Blade, I'll be prepared for that...once I cut out your heart with your little toothpick and send it to the other vampires out there." Fury countered with a smirk, getting angry glares from Logan, Selene and Amelia.
Later
After they had arrived in the Canadian wilderness, Logan and his vampire allies immediately found the Hulk. "Okay, Hulk, you choose: you can just calm down and we'll do this the easy way...or the hard way." Logan said threateningly before bringing out his claws.
But strangely, the Hulk spoke with the Mutant instead of immediately attacking. "I remember you. You're the one who attacked me when I was last here." He said in a full sentence before getting into a battle stance.
"And even though we'd like for you to get a little payback, Hulk, we're going to have to ask you to turn back into Bruce, so we can solve this little mystery and go our separate ways again." Selene said politely with a smile.
Even though he was enraged the moment he saw the human Mutant who attacked him the last time they met, he had calmed down the second Selene and Amelia had jumped in between them and smiled before he changed into Bruce, who lost consciousness after the transformation.
"Sometimes I don't get why he'll almost immediately attack me but won't lay even a green finger on you 2." Logan said with a bit of annoyance.
"Maybe because, out of almost every person that Hulk has encountered ever since he came into the world, save for a few friends, we've never attacked him, Logan." Amelia told her mutant ally with a glare.
Later that night
Bruce awakened and smiled softly at the sight of his vampire friends, who had been watching over him while Logan kept watch outside the cave where they had set up camp. They'd even gotten him some fresh clothes to wear to keep him warm from the cold weather. "Hey, guys. It's great to see you all again. Especially you, Blade. And by the way, Hulk told me no hard feelings for the whole fiasco in Asgard. He knew that you weren't to blame, even though having those metal claws was... very uncomfortable and hurt like hell every time he brought them out his knuckles."
"I know, Bruce. But that doesn't make me feel any better about what happened, especially since the Hulk and I were forced to share the same body, even though it was only for a short time." Blade said with a bit of anger on his face for Loki, who had forcefully merged him and the Hulk together against both their wills.
"And...I think we all know that Hulk has been through far worse physical pain throughout his life, he and you both, Bruce." Selene said with a sympathetic smile for both Bruce and the Hulk.
"That he has, Selene, we all have." Bruce said with the same smile, knowing that all of them had endured great pain throughout their lives, even Wolverine.
After Amelia asked Bruce how he ended up as the Hulk, the meek human scientist explained everything: how SHIELD had reached out and asked him to develop a cure for the 'monster' attacking people in the Canadian wilderness...but revealed Fury had also used him as bait to the 'creature' out, as the leader of the strike team had kicked him out of the plane and how changing into the Hulk was what saved his life.
Bruce revealed a shocking revelation to his vampire friends: how the Hulk for some strange reason had felt slightly weak, like a large portion of his power had been taken from the green monster. "But as everyone knows: the madder Hulk gets, the stronger he gets and he's slowly getting back to the level of strength that he was when he was in Asgard. And that's the only reason why he was able to hold his own against the creature out there."
Blade then replied as he knew the answer. "And I think I know the reason: that bastard Loki must've done something when he performed that separation spell! Did he say anything to you while I was inside of the Hulk?"
"Well, he kept saying that the Hulk would be far better off with you than with a weak human like me. Said that you were a far better host to have the Hulk inside you. And with all he said, it wouldn't surprise me if he actually did leave a large portion of the Hulk's power in you, Blade." Bruce answered, knowing that Loki, being the God of Mischief would try something like that.
"Well, even if we tried to give you back the power that was taken from the Hulk, there's no helping it now, Bruce. Selene and Amelia told me that Hela, the Goddess of the dead, has Loki imprisoned in her realm and I certainly don't want to cause any more trouble for Asgard than I already have. I'll...just have to learn to live with it." Blade said with a sigh, knowing that it was far too late to change anything now.
"But first, Blade. Who was this Stan Davis?" Amelia asked, wanting to know who Stan Davis was.
"I... don't like talking about that, Amelia." Blade said firmly, not wanting to talk about that part of his past.
"Why not? You've told everything personal that happened in your past, Blade, even about what happened to your parents and Makoto." Selene reminded her surrogate brother while putting her hand on his shoulder. "Amelia and I are your family now, brother and there shouldn't be any secrets between us."
"Selene is right, Blade. Whatever happened to this Stan Davis, you can tell us. Because with how Fury mentioned him and how you reacted to it, I bet that he had something to do with it, right? And from the way you looked at fury the whole time you saw him, you must have a very hateful grudge against him." Amelia added after her lover.
Blade knew that his vampire sisters were right. He'd shared everything deeply personal in his past with them because they had more than earned his trust and affection. And if he was to fully move on from what happened to Stan, he'd have to trust them again.
The Raccoon Daywalker then took off his shades and revealed his history with Nick Fury: how the immoral colonel had manipulated him years ago into helping him acquiring the Super Human/Vampire soldier serum that AIM had created and injected it into a small handful of American soldiers who signed up to fight in the Vietnam War...and how his friend and brief ally, Stan Davis was the only one to survive before he was killed by his arch rival Kikyo Mikage, the mutant samurai who had the same healing factor that Wolverine had and 2 katana swords that could retract from his hands the same way Wolverine and Blade retract their claws from their knuckles.
Blade also lamented not being able to save Stan, stating that he was one of the few people he liked and considered a friend and how the last thing Stan said before he died was...he wanted to go home to his wife and daughter. "After that, Kikyo and I fought before our old master Tanba, who had been turned into a vampire by Deacon Frost showed up to kill me. After I eventually freed him from his curse, Frost captured me, and you both know the rest."
Selene and Amelia were both shocked at what Blade had told them. Now it was no wonder why he hated Fury so much, for he was very similar to Viktor: lying and manipulating the Raccoon Daywalker and other people to get what he wanted and to clean up messes that he made because he didn't want to get his hands dirty and was only concerned about keeping his reputation upheld.
"That lying, manipulating bastard!" Selene said with anger for Fury.
"It's no wonder you have him so much. If only he didn't have his agents or the high-level government protecting his ass, we could make him feel the pain that he makes everyone else feel." Amelia added after her lover.
"Well, there's nothing we can do about it right now." Blade told them while putting his hands on their shoulders.
"And besides, we have other problems to deal with now. That creature out there." Bruce added after his female vampire friend. "The cure is still out there. The Hulk saw it. It must still be in the helicopter." He said urgently.
"I can smell it." Logan said while walking up to them and putting his good back on. "The gasoline, the burnt metal. It's close. But we're not alone out here. That creature or whatever it is is tracking us."
"What do we do?" Bruce asked.
"We find the cure and get rid of the monster problem, that's what." Blade said while putting on his shades.
While running through the forest to get to the helicopter, Bruce was behind the Mutant and the 3 vampires, who were running with amazing speed until Bruce stopped to catch his breath. "Wait! Guys, wait! There's something you should know!"
That made them stop before Logan told them. "The copter is just over the next ridge."
"I can see the Hulk's memories. The destruction and the towns. The Hulk was fighting the creature...but there's more. The Bigfoot, it's not the only one! Its bite must have infected other people!" Bruce explained, having seen the Hulk's memories.
"In that case, Blade, you and Logan get the cure, Selene, Bruce and I will stay here and hold off those creatures." Amelia told them.
"And when you say me, you obviously mean the Hulk, right?" Bruce asked with a knowing smile.
"I know that you probably don't want to turn back into the Hulk, but I'm afraid we'll need him to combat those Bigfoot monsters. Besides, I'm sure he'd want to get a little revenge on Fury for causing all this and making us all clean up his mess. Wouldn't that be worth it, Bruce?" Selene asked her human friend before she looked and saw that Blade and Logan had already gone.
"Would it be worth it?" Bruce asked... before chuckling a bit and quickly transforming into the Hulk!
"It'll be worth it every single second, Selene." Hulk said with a smirk.
"That's the spirit, Hulk." Amelia said with a smile before the Bigfoot monsters appeared, especially their white furred leader. "Ready for some smashing, Hulk?"
"Oh... I'm more than ready, Amelia. Don't worry, I'll save some for you 2." Hulk said before cracking his knuckles.
A bit later
Logan and Blade had returned with the cure, along with the gun that was needed to inject it into the monsters...only to find that they'd been completely knocked out, with Selene and Amelia standing in front of them with grins on their faces.
"What took you both so long?" Selene asked with a smirk.
Blade just smirked back before he injected the cure into the monsters, making them all turn back into their human forms before he saw the Shield symbol on the leader's jacket. "I don't believe it! These guys are Shield agents!"
"Oh, you gotta be fucking kidding me, Fury! Mystical curse, my-" Logan said with anger but was cut off as he and Blade were grabbed from behind by the Hulk!
"You 2 attacked me last time we met, tried to kill me!" He said before seeing Blade. "And you? You owe me for that incident in Asgard!"
"About that, Hulk: we're sorry. It was our fault. Won't happen again." Logan said as he held his hands up.
"And... I can make that up to you, Hulk: by letting you have a few 'words' with the one who got us all into this little mess." Blade added.
Hulk looked at them before smirking. "All right. But know this: either of you try to attack me again, I'll smash you both senseless into the ground. But...if I get to hurt Fury, it'll be a good start for making it up." He said before dropping them and jumping into another direction.
"Don't worry, he's not going anywhere. We promised him a little revenge...for all of us." Amelia said with a smirk before she and Selene kissed passionately.
The next morning
As Blade, his vampire sisters and co leader had restrained the turned Shield agents, Fury's aircraft landed before the immoral director came out. "Nice work, you 4. Maybe you guys should come to work for Shield full-time. You saved a lot of innocent lives today."
"Oh really, Fury? I don't think that's what we did." Selene said with a glare.
"Cause the way we see it, all we did was clean up your mess." Logan added after his vampire ally.
"What do you mean?" Fury asked, pretending he didn't know what they were talking about.
"Pretty convenient you had all that data for Banner's cure, Fury. And you knew right where the monster was. Of course it's pretty easy information to get when you created it all." Blade said as he showed his vampire traits.
But Fury, overconfident and smug as ever, chuckled at this. "Boy am I in trouble now." He said sarcastically before he turned serious. "Shield doesn't answer to any of you. You're all just tools to be used whenever I see fit, get it?"
"Oh yeah, we get it." Logan answered. "But know this: if you ever breathe a word about what you've got on the X-Men or Blade, Selene and Amelia to anyone, we'll make sure that the people who pay you know exactly what you're doing out here." He threatened.
"Fine." Fury said with a glare. "What's wrong, Blade? No threats? No punches in the face of breaking limbs?"
"Oh...I don't need to do anything this time. A certain green friend of ours will do it for us, Fury." Blade said with a smirk... before the Hulk appeared behind them and roared out before throwing the 3 vampires and the mutant far away from the area before they landed.
"Hahahaha. Hope Hulk really fucks Fury up, Blade." Selene said with a smile.
"Oh..he will, Selene. That I can assure you of." Blade said with a smirk.
And hopefully we won't see that 1 eyed bastard for a very long time." Amelia added after her surrogate brother as she held Selene close to her.
"Yeah, he will. Have fun, Fury." Logan said with a smile.
