Future X

Shortly after they had thwarted the Brotherhoods, more specifically, Quicksilver's demented plan of taking Nitro to Genosha and returning the extremely dangerous Mutant to the M.R.D. and returning to the X-Mansion, Wolverine and Blade had gone down to the sub-basement and entered Professor Xavier's chamber, where he summoned them to the Astral Plane.

Charles had stated softly. "Logan, it's good to see you and Blade again."

Logan stated while chuckling softly. "It's good to you again too, Chuck."

Blade stated with a small smile. "It's good to see you as well, old friend."

Charles stated softly, as he instinctively knew that Wolverine and the Raccoon Daywalker were not happy about handing Nitro over to the M.R.D. "Logan, you and Blade did the right in returning Nitro to the Mutant Response Division."

The raccoon-vampire hybrid replied softly. "It just doesn't feel that way to us, Charles."

Logan stated, as he agreed with his friend and co-leader. "Selene and the others are still upset that we handed Nitro over to the Mardies instead of trying to help him control his powers like we should've."

Professor X stated softly. "Believe me, Logan, I feel the same way...but it was for the best, especially since Nitro's inability to control his unstable and destructive powers would've caused the death of hundreds of innocent lives, humans and Mutants alike." He asked softly, as he could tell that something else was on the human Mutant and Daywalker's minds. "Is there something else you or Blade want to tell me?"

Logan answered while sighing softly. "Charles...there's something you need to see."

Thanks to the astral plane, the two allies were able to show their friend/mentor the night when Gambit had broken into the mansion to steal the power inhibitor collar and gave it Dr. Zane...and fast forwarded to the part where they had stormed the warehouse Trask had used to manufacture the Sentinel Prowlers.

Charles stated softly. "It's a good thing you and Blade succeeded in recovering the collar, Logan. Still...the fact that Senator Kelly had Trask and this Dr. Zane hired Gambit to steal the collar in order to build new Sentinels is rather disturbing."

Blade stated softly, remembering that a sample of his blood was taken. "I'm afraid that's not the only thing disturbing, Charles."

Logan asked as he was deeply shocked at what his raccoon/vampire hybrid friend/ally just said, "What do you mean, Blade?"

The Raccoon Daywalker stated while gesturing to Zane stealing a sample of his blood. "The woman who hired that rat bastard Gambit obtained a sample of my blood."

His mutant ally and co-leader asked deeply confused at that shocking revelation. "What the hell could Trask and that crazy bitch Zane possibly want with your blood?"

Charles stated softly, as he found this chain of events rather disturbing as well. "This is indeed rather troubling news Blade...especially since I believe I know why Trask and his colleague, Dr. Zane wanted your blood."

Logan asked, as he and his vampire hybrid friend were interested in learning why Trask and Zane had obtained a sample of his blood. "What do you mean, Charles?"

His mentor and friend answered while sighing softly. "Logan...what I'm about to tell you and Blade...is going to be incredibly hard for you both to believe and comprehend."

Blade stated softly with his mutant co-leader crossing his arms. "Charles, whatever it is, Logan and I can handle it."

Professor X would answer somberly. "Blade...after Trask and Zane had discovered your vampiric half while running numerous tests on your blood, they had shown their findings to Kelly...who ordered them to create a new type of Sentinel...that was programmed to hunt down and kill vampires, specifically you."

Blade stared deeply shocked at what Charles had just revealed to him and asked while whispering softly. "Those bastards created a new type of Sentinel to kill all vampires...just because they obtained a sample of my blood?"

Charles answered softly. "Logan, it's very important that you and the others discover everything you can about a Sentinel called the 'Master Mold'...since it's the key to putting an end to the Sentinel Project."

Logan stated softly while nodding softly. "Consider it done Chuck. Blade and I will assemble the team and take them to the warehouse. Maybe we can find info on this 'Master Mold' from the computers there."

Meanwhile in the future

Shortly after Charles had broke contact with Blade and Logan in the past...the powerful telepath had sadly glanced around the rusted and destroyed remains of the Cerebro chamber and silently broke down in tears, as he had glanced at the books that Hank published and had his face posted on the book covers before walking out of the ruined and still standing remains of the X-Mansion. "I wish you were here, Hank. You always did enjoy research. You and all the others. I really do."

However...before he had crossed the threshold, that was when a Sentinel had torn the roof of the mansion apart with its gigantic hands and stated in a deep hollow robotic voice. "Target identified. Destroy Mutant."

Charles had gasped with a look of horror on his face and attempted to run...but sadly didn't get far due to the Mutant hunting and killing machine firing a cable that had wrapped around his legs and upper body! Once the Sentinel had captured him, Professor Xavier had watched in horror as it destroyed the mansion and other Sentinels had fired cables and flew off with Cerebro in their possession before closing his eyes in complete sadness: as he had lost his only means of contacting the X-Men in the past.

Meanwhile in the past

After Blade and Logan gathered up the others, they took them to Trask industries. "This is it." Logan told everyone.

"Something doesn't smell right." Blade said as he sniffed the air.

"Looks like Logan isn't the only one with heightened senses." Emma said with a smile.

"I thought your senses were more into... blood?" Kitty asked, not wanting to offend her friend.

"They are, Kitty. But Blade trained himself to use his vampire smelling for more than just blood, just as Amelia and I have." Selene explained while rubbing Kitty's hair.

"Cool. So your senses are like Logan's?" Bobby asked.

"Yeah. But Blade's right. We're only getting the smell of 2 people in there. There should be dozens." Logan told them.

"But we're still going in, right?" Forge asked, having wanted to come with them.

"Don't make us regret this, Forge. You're only here for analysis only." Amelia reminded him with annoyance.

When they got to the place that Wolverine and Blade battled the Sentinels, Kitty knocked out 2 of the guards before the others walked up to her. "Nice one, huh?"

"Very nice, Kitty, but this is far too easy." Blade said as concern.

"All right, Blade. Then let's make it a little harder." Selene said with a grin before she fired a gun that contained a big laser blast, blowing up the door before they all went in and saw that the place was empty.

"Funny. When you 2 told us about your little private adventure in foiling Gambit, Logan, I pictured it to be more... populated." Emma said to her leaders.

"Trask cleaned house! Frost, scan the guards' minds." Logan told her.

"I already have. They didn't even know the building was empty." Frost informed.

"Oh man. My first field op and I don't even get to do anything." Forge said with disappointment.

"I just hope that Charles is having better luck than we are." Blade said with worry.

Meanwhile, back in the future

After his capture, Charles had woken up to find himself in a prison camp for the Mutants the Sentinels had captured and stared softly in surprise: as he had spotted at least 10, 15 Mutant prisoners still alive. However...that was when he spotted the three Sentinels flying overhead and entering a building with Cebebro...and turned to see a futuristic version of MRD agent Col. Moss, whom had been turned into a cyborg had called out to the Mutant prisoners to step forward so he could place power inhibitor collars over their necks to cancel their powers...and attacked a Mutant prisoner, who attempted to attack him with a telekinetic blast and ordered a Sentinel to take the prisoner to section of the camp called 'The Tower'.

As Charles witnessed the Sentinel carry the unconscious prisoner away, Moss had tasered him while placing a collar around his neck. But before he could activate it, Charles used his power to control the still human part of his brain. "That will be all, Col. Moss. You may go about your business."

After Moss walked away, Charles turned towards the other surviving Mutants and was introduced to their leader: a Mutant known by his friends and other prisoners as Bishop. "Hello, Professor. Wolverine and Blade told me a lot about you." He said, much to Charles' deep surprise.

As Charles and Bishop had walked around the camp, Charles asked. "You knew Wolverine and Blade?"

The African American Mutant answered. "They're the ones who gathered us. Taught us to fight. We're their X-Men."

"I must see them."

Bishop sighed. "A few years back, they saved us from a Sentinel attack, got captured. That's the last we saw of them. We...put up gravestones for them at the institute, along with the others."

"Wolverine and Blade? Captured?"

"Is that hard to believe?"

"Highly impossible, especially if they were working together. One of them is deadly on their own, I know, but when they fought together, almost nothing could capture them, let alone kill them." Charles told him, having seen what a great fighting team Wolverine and Blade were in the past.

After Bishop explained what the tower was and the purpose of the prison, he had introduced the last surviving telepath to their fellow surviving Mutants: Hellion, Berzerker, Firestar, Kamal, Vanisher, Marrow, a reprogrammed Sentinel nicknamed 'Rover' and two deeply surprising survivors: Domino and a young teenage Vampire/Lycan hybrid with black hair and blue eyes...who introduced herself to the Professor as Eve.

Charles was deeply surprised to see Domino inside the camp...along with the former Mutant mercenary wearing a torn and worn out X-Men outfit, along with a dog tag with the letters 'D+M' in the center of a heart engraved on the front side of the dog tag, holding it like a valued treasure, the same way Blade held his mother's knife.

"Domino, why are you wearing that outfit and...why are you wearing that dog tag?" Charles asked with interest.

"That's none of your business, Xavier. And don't even think about reading my mind!" Domino told him coldly.

But then Eve touched her arm and spoke softly to her. "Auntie Dom, it's okay. He doesn't mean any harm."

That seemed to calm her down as she sighed and touched Eve's hand. "I'm sorry, Eve. It's just that I don't like anybody asking about that part of my life. She was my most precious treasure, you know that."

"It's alright, Domino. You've said enough. Whenever you're ready, you can tell me about it." Charles assured her softly before looking at Eve. "But, Eve, who are you?"

Eve sat down and explained who she was. "Well, Professor, as you know, my name is Eve and as you can probably guess, I'm a hybrid of both vampire and lycan. I'm... Selene and Amelia's adopted daughter. My dad, Michael Corvin, told me about them and that they were his friends and that if anything happened to him or my mom, that was supposed to find Selene and Amelia, and I did. So they took me in when they died a few weeks after the world was destroyed and eventually treated and loved me as their own daughter. And I've been with them ever since. But since they, my uncles Blade and Wolverine and the X-Men from the past are all gone, auntie Dom is the only family I've got left, besides Bishop and the X-Men here."

Charles was deeply surprised by this revelation but now wasn't the time to get the full details of everything. "What about trying to escape?"

"That, my friend, is why we're here. We've got X-Men waiting on the outside. At dawn, we're breaking every single mutant out of here." Bishop revealed.

"Awfully risky: allowing yourselves to be captured." Charles said.

"I didn't become an X-Man to play it safe. And besides, we've got Lady luck and a hybrid of both vampire and lycan on our side." Bishop said while pointing to Domino and Eve.

A bit later

"So let me get this straight: you've been in a coma for 20 years but now you're awake and you're using your brain powers to contact the X-Men in the past to try and stop this future from happening?" Marrow/Sarah asked after Charles had told them everything.

"I wouldn't have summed it up quite like that, but yes." Charles answered as he adjusted his walking braces.

Marrow walked up to him with a laugh. "Hahaha. You're crazy. No way you're Charlie X."

Charles put a finger on his head as he spoke to her telepathically. 'I prefer my students address me as Professor." Making Marrow shocked at this while Eve smirked. "It may indeed sound ridiculous but Sarah is right. And that is why I must get inside the tower."

"Marrow has you pegged, old man: you are crazy." Kamal said with a grin.

"Perhaps. But the Sentinels took something from me. And if I don't get it back, nothing you do will matter. It's called Cebebro. It's a tracking system I invented to track mutants in need to help them control their powers." Charles explained. "But if the Sentinels are somehow able to access it, there will be no running, no hiding, no hope."

Marrow was angry at this, as being young, she didn't understand. "This is all your fault! Things were bad enough before and now you bring a mutant tracker into it?" She asked as she grabbed Charles. "Why didn't you just smash that thing?!"

This made Eve walk up to Marrow before she told her while getting Charles free. "Hey! Back the hell off him, Marrow! He had his reasons!"

"No! You back off, Eve! You're not even a mutant!"

"Maybe I'm not a mutant, but I'm still an X-Men! My mothers wanted me to help you all before they sacrificed themselves for me and that's what I'm doing! And after everything they told me about Charles, I'm sure we can trust him! And he didn't destroy it because it's his only link to the past!" Eve shot back, defending Charles.

"Forget the past, Eve! He's here now, and he's made everything worse than ever!" Marrow said angrily before walking away.

Eve turned to Charles and helped him up. "I'm sorry for that, Professor. She's young like me but she doesn't understand the way I do." She said with sympathy.

"We can win this, and getting Cebebro back is the first step." Charles assured them.

Bishop sighed before looking at Domino. "Domino, proceed as planned. Get everyone out. I'm going with the Professor."

"And so am I." Eve said while stepping up. "The more help and manpower you have, the better, Bishop and don't even think about telling me no."

"Eve, you are staying with me! You're my responsibility and I'm not losing you!" Domino said sternly to her adopted niece.

"Auntie Dom, please. Let me do this." Eve said with love as she touched her arms and whispered in her right ear. "Do it for auntie Marie. She'd want you to."

Dom looked at her dog tag and held it in her hand while rubbing her finger against the heart and caressing the M before a tear fell from her marked eye. She then looked at Eve and nodded. "Be careful and come back, Eve. You're the only family and the closest thing to her I have left."

"She will be careful, Domino. Remember, he's Professor X, the guy that both Wolverine and Blade listened to." Bishop reminded his fellow X-Men.

"Don't let anything bad happen to her, either of you!" Domino warned.

A bit later

Charles, Bishop and Eve were walking to the tower, with Charles using Cyborg Moss to get inside. "Professor, I don't like this." Eve said with doubt.

"Moss executes his orders like a machine, Eve. He brings mutants to the tower but he doesn't know why." Charles told her before Moss opened the doors and they went inside the tower. Once they were inside, Charles forced Moss to remove the collar from Bishop's and Eve's necks, allowing them to use their respective powers.

While Moss led them to a terminal and used his cables to scan the tower, Charles read his mind and said. "Moss has found Cerebro. It's above us. But... there's also a mutant... alive."

After going to where the mutant was being held, they saw that a Sentinel was lifting a cube up with his power. "I don't believe it. That robot just copied his powers. They're trying to evolve." Eve said with disbelief.

"Master Mold will stop at nothing." Bishop said.

"Master Mold?" Charles asked.

"Yes. It's the Sentinel responsible for all this: the detention centers, hunting us down. That's why Logan reformed the X-Men: to find Master Mold and destroy it." Bishop explained.

But as they looked on, Eve sensed that Moss was about to attack before she quickly used her strength to tear out his core, making him shut down. "Let's get Julien and get out of here." She said before jumping down to her friend.

"Eve! How'd you-"

"No time for explanations, Julien. We're getting out of this dumb." Eve said before breaking him out.

Bishop and Charles then went to a power cable and Bishop used his power to make the lights flicker on and off, which the X-Men outside the camp saw before they prepared. "May not be a flare but it works."

Domino and Kamal saw this as well before all the mutant collars fell off, making Dom smile. "That's either bad or lucky." Before the outside X-Men teleported behind them and handed them weapons.

As Eve helped Julian, he held up his hand. "I need a minute."

But that was when 2 Sentinels came in. "We don't have a minute! We gotta get out of here now!" Eve said while transforming into her hybrid form and using her claws and speed to destroy them easily!"

After rejoining Charles and Bishop, Eve and Julian headed to where Cerebro was being kept and quickly found it. "Cerebro." Charles said before looking at Julian. "Julian, at the center. The core and the helmet. I need you to-" He tried to say before a bigger Sentinel burst through the wall and grabbed the Professor! "Get Cerebro! It's all that matters!" He told them.

As the freed uncollared X-Men battled with the Sentinels outside, Eve got to the one holding Charles and used her vampire speed and lycan strength to destroy its left arm while Rover punched another one with its fast through the chest before it fell to the ground.

Berzerker, Firestar, Kamal also freed the other mutants before Domino, after destroying a Sentinel With her laser gun that Vanisher had given her, saw Charles and looked down at her dog tag before kissing it. "For you, Marie." She said sweetly before shooting the Sentinel in its wrist, freeing Charles before she helped him up.

He smiled at her before he saw a Sentinel about to fall on Marrow before he ran to her and tackled her out of the way, saving her life before Bishop destroyed the last Sentinel with an energy blast. "Come on! The reinforcements will be here in about 3 minutes." He said before they all ran out of the prison camp with Cerebro.

Later back in the past

After the X-Men had returned home, Charles contacted Logan and Blade, who brought Hank, Selene and Amelia with them. "So it is important that you do not stop looking for Trask's facility. The Master Mold he's creating is an artificial intelligence that manufactures Sentinels. It is a key component in the coming war."

Logan smirked at that. "You got all that from an old newspaper?"

After Logan and Hank walked away, Charles asked Selene, Amelia and Blade for a talk, which confused them at first before he explained. "My friends, it is important that you know something about Domino."

"The female mutant with the birthmark on her right eye? What about her?" Selene asked, wanting to know why that mutant was important.

"She's with the Brotherhood and is a former mercenary. What else is there to know about her?" Amelia asked with disdain.

"She may be now, but from what I saw of her in the future, she soon won't be. In fact, I have a feeling that she... and Rogue will come to you all soon enough. And the X-men may gain back an old member, as well as a new one." Charles explained.

"Rogue?! That bitch set us up to prove her loyalty to those Brotherhood bastards!" Selene yelled out, still angry at Rogue for setting them up.

"I understand your anger, Selene, I do. But in the future where I am now, Domino is an X-Men and has possibly been so for years. Most likely because of Rogue. It is important that if and when they come to you, and they will, they will have very important information to share with you about an attack on the X-men. And when that happens, it is important that you listen to them, as well as stop Logan from trying to imprison Rogue or kill Domino. Whatever happens, they must be protected. Please, my friends. Promise me that you will do that." Charles pleaded with his vampire friends.

Despite his anger toward Rogue for setting them up, Blade seemed to remember that during the incident with Nitro, Rogue and Domino seemed to not be helping the Brotherhood fight them, presumably because they saw Nitro's unstable power and the damage it could cause before the battle took place, and as such, they probably knew how dangerous he was and were the only ones that wanted the X-Men to take him. And there was also his hearing, which picked up everything they were saying, even in that airplane.

"All right, Charles, we'll do it." Blade answered.

"Well, with everything else that's been happening here and everything that's going to happen, we'll need all the help we can get. And all the information you've been giving us has proved extremely helpful. So when and if they come here, we'll hear them out first." Selene started.

"But, if we find out that whatever information they give us is a lie or half truths, I will not hesitate to lock them up or let Logan do it. Understand, Charles?" Amelia asked.

"Perfectly, my friends. Thank you." Charles said before breaking contact.

Back in the future

After Charles had broken off contact, Marrow took off the helmet, having been wrong about Charles and taking back everything she'd said to him. "Thank you, Sarah."

"Sure thing, Professor." Marrow said with a small smile, having been grateful enough to call him what he preferred his students to call him.

"I'm glad you got your machine back." Bishop said while walking up to him and sitting down. "But with Master Mold still out there hunting us, things are sure to get a whole lot worse." He said with worry.

"And that, Bishop, is what the X-Men are for, in the past or in the future: to prevent things from getting a whole lot worse." Charles assured his new X-Man.

"Professor, you didn't tell Selene and Amelia anything about me, did you?" Eve asked while sitting beside Domino.

"No, Eve, I did not. Selene and Amelia will meet you in time, but I can't tell them anything that would endanger your existence. But I did tell them that Domino must be protected, along with Rogue, from the dangers that are coming... and even from Logan." Charles answered.

"Good. Hopefully now that they know that, my younger self won't go through the same loss that I did." Domino said while touching her dog tag with hope.

Meanwhile

A Sentinel had walked into a chamber while telling something about the escape while showing it an image of Charles. "Facility 2-3-6 has been destroyed. An unknown mutant facilitated the escape of 14 mutants."

"Partial match found." A female robotic voice said while showing images of the mutants, including the X-Men. "Subject: Mutant. Designation: Charles Xavier. Orders: capture alive." She said, revealing herself to be Master Mold.

There you go, my dear friends, the Future X chapter is complete. Next is the Past Discretions episode, where Logan and Blade investigate a memory from Wolverine's forgotten past while battling 2 old enemies. Meanwhile, Rogue and Domino get a bit of information that something bad may happen to the X-Men and will try to talk to Selene and Amelia about it.

Anyway, rate and review and I'll see you all next time, my dear friends.
