Chapter 6 - The Salad (Confrontation)
...
In the clubroom,
What had happened could barely be called a fight at all.
Emiya Shirou laid dead, on the floor.
With one, and only use of Zabinya, Emiya Shirou, once again, had died.
Standing over his corpse, Matou Shinji gloated gleefully.
"What? Was that all, Emiya?" He mocked, kicking his corpse in the side, "You didn't even put up a fight! That was too easy, really!"
"Well, I suppose that's fitting for someone like you!" Shinji bragged, "So much for Saber being the strongest class, huh?"
And right on time, Sakura also reported in mentally, about Tohsaka's defeat and petrification. Focusing his senses just to double-check, he really could sense that Tohsaka's presence was gone.
"Ha! Truly, it was all too easy!"
Shinji rejoiced.
Now Emiya, the goody-two-shoes and that arrogant Tohsaka bitch who had shot him down and made a fool out of him were both gone.
And now, soon, once Sakura had completed her duty and fulfilled her usefulness to him, she could be disposed of, too. Not like a used and stolen toy like her had much other use, any way.
Shinji cackled manically.
Then, he felt something grip tightly around his knees, almost crushing them in the process.
Shirou coughed up a bit of blood, but continued tightening his grip.
"Emiya?! Impossible! I was sure I crushed your heart!" Shinji panicked, "How are you still alive?! You damn monster!"
Shirou glared up at him, "As if!"
Coughing up more blood, he forced Shinji to the ground with the grip he had around Shinji's legs, as he pulled himself up.
"As if, that'd be enough to stop me! Shinji!"
Shinji squealed in terror, having his ability to escape completely cut off from him.
Shirou, still gripping him, slammed him against the ground and the wall several times, breaking Shinji's nose and bones in his face.
But even for all the coward and sniveling worm that he was, Shinji continued to persist, not having given up the will to fight just yet.
Finally, in desperation, Shirou started strangling Shinji one-handedly against the wall.
"Shinji! Take off your card, and remove the barrier!"
Shinji was desperate, now. Maybe if he waited for Sakura to return...
No wait! Sakura, that wench would probably side with Emiya, and he might be dead by the time he could use the command seals on her!
And that was if he could even still manage to speak with Emiya choking him like this!
"Now!" Shirou commanded, threateningly, and increasing the pressure he was putting on Shinji's neck.
Running out of air, Shinji chocked, but relented, right as his mind came to a diabolical solution.
"Al, right, al, right!" He choked out, "...I...give...!...Emiya!"
Sighing in relief, Shirou released his grip on Shinji. He really didn't want to start strangling Shinji either, but he was desperate.
Panting, Shinji unequipped his card.
"Fine, Emiya..." He said, still slightly out of breath. "This was what you wanted, right?"
"Take the field down, too, Shinji!" Shirou emphasized.
"Of course." He said, "But, that much is Sakura's expertise. She was the one who set it up, and she's the only one who can take it down, too."
Shirou glared at him, as Shinji put on his best innocent face, but he sighed as he could see that Shinji genuinely wasn't lying to him.
"Alright, then." Shirou said, "We'll wait for Sakura."
And as if right on cue, Sakura came in.
Shinji smirked, madly.
This was his chance!
Holding up his book, he tried immediately to issue her a command,
"Sakura, kill - !"
But quickly, in the next instant, her un-covered gaze turned towards him.
"Wha?!"
And before he could force out a Command Spell, his body started freezing up into stone, and Sakura rushed over to cover his mouth from continuining his orders, attacking his command book at the same time, with the blindingly fast speed of her chains, immediately getting it out of his hands.
"Damn you!"
Sakura could barely make out his words through her hands, as he started petrifying.
"Sakura, you damn trai -"
Shinji's mouth petrified, and he could speak no more, as he his eyes twitched around in terror and the whole rest of his body began to freeze up in terror.
Shinji curses Sakura, freezes up.
Shirou was amazed.
"Sen, Senpai..." Sakura breathed out, in relief, "I'm glad...you're safe..."
She fainted, glad to have carried out what she wanted to do.
Shirou quickly rushed to her side, and caught her.
The battle at the schoolyards was over, and the victors were Shirou and Tohsaka Rin (and Sakura).
...
Catches Sakura in his arms, he blushed.
Sakura really was somehow a lot sexier and more alluring than he remembered, especially around her chest.
Had it become larger? Or was it just that her uniform was especially tight-fitting and emphasizing that part, especially?
Nevertheless, he pushed those thoughts out of his head.
He breathed a sigh of relief,
"Sakura..."
He really was glad that she was safe, and out of Shinji's control, for now.
He looking down upon her, fondly.
And it was then that Tohsaka came right in, at that exact moment.
Grinning, she teased him.
"Oh? Emiya-kun, surely you aren't thinking about doing anything particulary untowards with your unconcious kouhai, now are you?"
"Wha?! Of course not!" Shirou protested, blushing, "It's not like that! I wouldn't even think of it. She's my precious kouhai, is all."
"Hmmmm, is that so...?" Tohsaka teased, "Sure, if you insist..."
"Really!"
"Yes, yes, whatever you say, Emiya-kun."
Shirou still protested lightly after that, but for the most part, they were both just relieved that the whole incident was over.
Inwardly, she felt felt a bit bad for Sakura though.
Would this blockhead even ever realize Sakura's feelings for him, at this rate? Probably not. Not unless Sakura did something really bold, at least.
'Well, Good Luck with that, Sakura.' Rin though, 'You're really going to need it.'
Hiding Shinji's statue in the woods where most people would be hard pressed to find it, they headed back to Emiya estate to rest, and to their plan next move.
...
At the Emiya Estate, Rin began discussing with Shirou about their next move, and plans for the rest of the was.
They would have to deal with Ilya at some point, but firstly, they might need to assault Caster at Ryuudou Temple.
Dealing with Ilya would be a personal matter, especially as she had a grudge towards Shirou, but the incidents occurring around town that pointed towards Ryuudou temple was currently a more pressing and urgent issue.
People were out like in the school, but on a city-wide scale.
Someone was clearly draining them of magical energy, and likely, the source of this drainage was at Ryuudou temple, probably by a Caster-Class Master.
There were no fatalities yet, but the victims might not ever awaken, so they should take out the Ryuudou temple's master before things get any worse. That was Tohsaka was saying, anyways, and Shirou was inclined to agree, though she made it clear that they should scout out the are first, before carrying out any assault.
In the meanwhile, Sakura woke up, overhearing them, and joined them in their discussion.
"I want to join in!" She insisted.
And naturally, Shirou protested, though Rin agreed, citing her incredible talents as a Master (which Sakura hear, especially from Rin of all people) and as a scouting unit in the war. Thus, outnumbered and outmatched (by Tohsaka's sound arguments and logic) as he was, Shirou sighed and had no choice but to relent.
Well, he at least got to comprise with escaping should things ever get too bad, to which she agreed, but only on the condition that Shirou escaped with her, which he somewhat reluctantly agreed to (the only problem being that he couldn't just stop even if it was dangerous, if he was witnessing an atrocity being committed before his very own eyes. But he agreed on the surface, at least, to assure Sakura).
And so, they rested up, and ate up, and slept.
And the next morning, they set out, to Ryuudou Temple.
...
Bon Appetite!

Author's Notes:
Might merge this chapter and next chapter.
They were original just meant to be one chapter, anyways, so, might as well.
...
If you think Shirou chocking Shinji is a little out of character...
I'm just gonna say...
Shirou actually chokes Shinji in canon.
No joke,
Seriously, I'm not making this up, he really does, lmao
I mean, I get that.
Sometimes you just gotta choke all the evil out of your Japanese-Seaweed friend, right. Just wring them just right, to get all the evil out of their system...
lmao
...
oh, I wonder who False Assassin is gonna be wielded by?
Is it gonna be Issei?
Well, just read on to find out.
Look forward to it!
