AN: I have to rework on this chapter since my previous chapters have also updated, such as the parents of Wu's and Boonchuy's, reduce to the moms for this chapter.
So, here is the chapter. Enjoy it and don't forget to leave a review, because I want to make sure I did my best for this story.
Chapter 4: The departure. (Part 2 of Marcy's Departure)
25 minutes later. LAX airport
They arrived at the airport as they already unload the Wu's luggage, including Marcy's stuff, along with Sasha who was there before their arrival. Mrs. Wu and Boonchuy went inside the port, with Sasha following. While the parents get in line for their ticket and luggage check in, the trio share their moments together before Marcy's departure.
"Well," Sasha said, "I guess this is our last moment together, huh? I'm sure we'll video-chat with you, Marcy."
"Yeah," Marcy said, "and with Anne."
"Yeah," Sasha said in awe tone, "I still can't believe you two became a thing at last."
"Yep," Anne said, "it's somewhat crazy how we change, one minute we were friends, and the next minute we're together." Anne holds Marcy's hand.
"That is crazy," Sasha said in a happier tone than usual, "I also got an announcement to make."
"What is it, Sasha?" Marcy asked.
"Well," Sasha said in a nervous tone, "I'm…interested in boys and….girls as well."
Anne and Marcy are shocked to hear this, especially coming from Sasha.
"Wait, you're Bisexual?!" Anne asked.
"Yeah, surprised?" Sasha said.
The duo froze for a minute, and later burst out excited screams like normal teenagers scream with joy and jump around each other and approach Sasha with excitement, giving Sasha the big hug. Sasha was shattered in tears not only she changed, but she realized she had become the new Sasha after years of manipulation since the war.
"We're happy for you, Sasha," Marcy complemented.
"I'm glad you changed," Anne said proudly, "this is great news, Sasha."
"Thanks guys," Sasha replied to them, "this means a lot to me."
The trio then kept hugging each other for a while. As the girls saw the parents getting close to the front desk, they then released themselves, smiling at each other.
"Thanks guys," Marcy said, "I'll never forget the time we made here. Oh, wait, I have something for each of you Sasha." Marcy pulled out a sketch of two swords crosses from her bag. She hands it over to Sasha.
"Something to keep to recall all of the adventures," Marcy said, "I'll miss you."
"Thanks, Marcy," Sasha said to Marcy like she's proud, "I'm gonna miss you too, loveable nerd."
"Yes, me too," Marcy said, "so long Sasha." Marcy then turns to Anne one last time, reaching her pocket, and pulling out something in her hand. giving Anne something as a gift to remember her. It was a Thai hair elastic she made. It gave Anne a shock to know Marcy paid tribute to Anne's culture.
"It's something I made before..." Marcy said, "...our first trip to Amphibia. It was meant to be a gift to you. I hope you like it." Anne smiled that she loved it like her first time adopting her cat, Domino.
"I love it, Marcy," Anne said, "Thank you, Mar-Mar!" She hugged Marcy. Marcy hugged her back, smiling.
"You're welcome," Marcy said, "for my best girlfriend. I'm glad to have you guys in my life, especially you, Anne."
"I'm glad to have you in my life as well," Anne said.
"Me too, Mars," Sasha said.
"Girls," Mrs. Boonchuy called out, "it's time. Your mother got her ticket in hand, along with yours, Marcy. she stands over by the entrance of the gates." Marcy looked over where her mother stood. She smiled and turned to her friends and hugged them for the last time. She then goes up to Mrs. Boonchuy, giving her a farewell.
"Thanks for bringing my parents here," Marcy said, "I'm sorry that I-"
"It's okay, Marcy," Mrs. Boonchuy said, "We understand your reasons. Plus, we're just glad that Anne had someone like you as her partner and don't forget about us. We'll miss seeing you and Anne and Sasha hangout together." she hugged Marcy, making Marcy cry a bit.
Marcy then goes to the entrance where her parents go while Mrs. Boonchuy went outside to their car for Anne to come. As Marcy goes in, she looks at Anne for the last time. Anne then walks up to her, hoping to give her the last hug before.
As Marcy was about to go in, she quickly went up to Anne and hugged her, and gave her the kiss on the lips for a moment. She then released her lips. She then goes beyond the entrance to the gates. She looked back as she still walked, blushed.
"I love you, Anne Boonchuy!" Marcy shouted. Anne stood by the gate, blushed, yet happy to receive the kiss before. She shouted back.
"I love you too, Marcy Wu!" Anne shouted back. They both waved at each other. Marcy then goes through the gate to the other room, disappearing into the crowds with her parents. Vanished without a trace.
Anne can't see the sight of Marcy any more, for she had stood there for a while.
She was feeling something in her heart. It was causing her to shatter with a mixture with a grimed face and begin to sob. She understands seeing someone she loves goes away hurts her, but learns the fact that sometimes it is okay to let them go, as long as their bond remains true to their friendship and their love as times change.
She still had the hairband Marcy gave her. She looks at it and it gave her memories of her and Marcy's times. She then put it back in her pocket carefully. She then goes out, along with Sasha. At the door entrance of the airport, Anne and Sasha had their talk before departures.
"I can't believe it," Anne said to Sasha, "Marcy is going out of state. So far from our home, far from me. What if she isn't alright?"
"Don't worry, Anne," Sasha said in a calmer tone, "I'm sure she'll be alright from a distance. I'm sure it'll work out."
"Yeah," Anne said, "you're right, Sasha. It just won't be fun without-" Sasha gave Anne a side hug. Anne hugged back.
"Everything will be okay," Sasha said, "We just have to believe it." They then released themselves from hugging each other as the Boonchuys honked their car, signaling their daughter to leave before the security guard ticket them.
"Well then," Sasha said, "I'll see you at school tomorrow, Anne."
"Yeah," Anne said, "see ya at school then. See ya around, Sasha."
"See ya, Anne," Sasha said.
They were in different directions.
Anne goes right over to her mother's car. Sasha went to the left to get her bike, unlocked the lock and started to paddle away. Anne just closed her slide door. They then left the airport, taking the freeway. As they were half-way, Mrs. Boonchuy looked over to her daughter, seeing her face becoming downer. Anne looked through the window, seeing the airport, hoping that Marcy is okay. Mrs. Boonchuy has been worrying for Anne since Marcy left.
"You're okay sweetheart?" Mrs. Boonchuy asked. Anne looked up to her mother,
"I'm fine mom," Anne replied, "it's just that it won't be the same without her."
"Anne," Mrs. Boonchuy said, "I know it's hard to see her go, but it's the nature of change. We just have to embrace it."
"Whatever either together," Mrs. Boonchuy said, "or individually to face the changes. I'm sure you, Sasha and Marcy can embrace it. Trust me and your father, we know the feeling when we leave Bangkok for a better future with you. And as years passed, we would think we can never expect some changes like raising a daughter who used to be irresponsible, always getting into troubles and…" she began to realize that he wasn't exactly helping Anne to be calm.
"Oh I'm sorry," Mrs. Boonchuy said, "maybe I wasn't-"
"No mom," Anne said, "it's okay, I get it."
"With that in mind," Mrs. Boonchuy said in addition, "we just had to expect the change." Anne looked at her mother, feeling confident after hearing her talk.
"Thanks mom," Anne compliment, "It means so much to me. I'm sure whatever challenges we face, me, Marcy and Sasha will embrace it together."
"Well," Mrs. Boonchuy said, "if there's anything you need to help with, let us know, okay sweetheart."
"I will, mom," Anne said. Anne then looked at the window again, only to feel more confident as if she looked to the sky with high hopes.
"I hope you can embrace it too, Marcy," Anne thought. She smiled to begin their new chapter after Amphibia. She then pulled out her new hairband, trying to pull her hair back, and tie it with Marcy's hair band. She looked in her phone for a mirror, and she was fresh with her hair's new look.
AN: This is part 2 of Marcy's departure. I decided to have the kiss at the airport as an reference to Pokémon XYZ finale when Ash was kissed by Serena. Thought it was cute for this moment.
Also, since we see Sasha having her bi symbol in her car during the finale, I figured she would come out to her friends. I added this in because I figured this could explained her sexuality in person, to talk, like most of my friends would come out to me, which I'm glad they did. And since this month is pride month, I thought of pay respect to those have come out their sexuality to everyone.
So, anyway the next chapter is gonna be different because it will be Anne's nightmare. See ya next time.
