Hello and welcome back to another chapter of second chance. I guess you all had like the little taste of the beginning which makes me very happy cause now I know what the notification sounds like when someone likes and saves the stories lol.

later on in the story I will have some poles up to see which of the dog demons kagome should have a relationship with. Whether it be with Touga, Sesshomaru, and or Inuyasha.

honestly speaking it probably gonna be one of the first two but who knows. Y'all can help me a bit with deciding.

so I will not hold you up any longer on to the story!!

also I own nothing!!

Birds chirp in the early morning as the rest of the creatures scurry about the forest floor in search of food.

a soft running of feet can be heard disturbing the quite scene as the animals move out of the way. A little girl no more than 6 summers comes to a halt in front of a berry bush ripe with juice sweet berries. Smiling brightly she begins to fill up the cracked and dirty bowl she had brought with her, one she had watch someone through out.

But as she saying goes one man's trash is another one's treasure. And this treasure allows her to carry berries a lot easier than having to use her clothing to do so. And less messy.

Eating a few berries she finds herself satisfied with the amount she has collected before she heads back for her home.

returning to her village in which she was born in she does herself well by making sure her head is down and being as small as possible when she heads for her little shack on the outer way of the village. Her father having died a year ago on a hunt gone wrong. Him and some of the other hunters were tracking a boar when they had gotten ambushed by a group of demons. From the stories she had heard it was not a pretty sight when a search team was sent to find them.

During that fall her mother had fell I'll of sickness that no one was able to cure. And the winter that followed she had passed leave her all alone. The villagers deemed her cursed. After all losing one parent happens... losing another the following month doesn't...

She had come to realize that it was best to avoid the villagers all together. She doesn't ask for food anymore since it only leads to being hurt for asking them to give up their hard earned meat and vegetables. And unable to hunt herself because of her lack of weapons and no knowledge on how to use them she had resorted to foraging and when she can fishing.

though she doesn't fish in the village. Oh no she learned her lesson on that one.

Kagome is able to make it to her little home safe and sound without catching anyone's eye. Sitting down cross legged she enjoys her food. Savoring each bite and controlling her intake so she doesn't eat all the berries. After all she will need some for breakfast. Moving her bowl away onto the table which is basically a over turned bucket, she gets her fire going. It is small, barley a fire pit but it works. Looking down she frowns as she notices the few tears in her clothes. Huffing in frustration she goes to grab the bits of cloth and needle to patch up the hole but before she is able to there is a pounding on the shacks door. Jolting she turns her head at the door as the banging starts again and yelling. " GET OUT HERE YOU BAD OMEN!!! Your nothing but bad luck you are!!" Quickly hiding in one of the small places inside that she had which under a pile of dirty old sheets that she ment to clean so she can have more blanket before winter. Behind a wooden empty crate that she managed to drag in the house.

Before long the door bursted opened. She held her breath as she watched a balding middle aged man storm in her home along with two others following behind him. Looking around for her for a bit they were unable to locate her. " come on Shu. Besides what makes you think she is the reason your cow has gone dry? It could just be a coincidence."

The man named Shu turned to the other who had said those words. " because it happened the day after I had seen her petting my cow that she went dry!!! Ain't no coincidence about that!! That there girl is bad luck walk-in and she needs to pay!!"

the other man looked around in disgust. " well if she was here we would have found her by now. After all there isn't much here" he says kicking a flat ball across the room.

Shu growls before stomping out. Swearing with almost each step as the others followed. She held her breath until she was sure they were gone. Giving a sign of relief she slunks down before curling up. The feeling of adrenaline fading away. Closing her eyes she thinks back to her family. The happy moments they had all together before the events happened.

before to long her mind drifted away in slumber. Taking her to a field of sunflowers and soft breezes. Where her father and mother welcomed her with opened arms and joyful words.
