Hello once again!! Yes it is me I am back and with another chapter!!!

before I start u would like to thank everyone who has liked this story so far. Once I figure out how I can pull up the names the. I shall give each and everyone of you recognition!!! You all deserve it for it has brought me joy!!

but without further ado I shall begin the story!! Enjoy!

Kagome wakes up as the birds arise to hunt for their meal and the meals for their young. Sitting up and rubbing the sleep from her eyes she peeks outside to be sure it is all clear for her to shoot on through. Most of the villagers avoid her but the big mean one always seems to have it out for her. Even for things that make no sense at all. Finding no dangers out she rushes out to the forest once more.

Once she is deep enough in she slows her running to a walking pace. Taking in the morning breeze and smells. Seeing a stream up ahead she picks her pace up to it, hoping there will be fish.

Getting some meat now and again is good. She doesn't try to fish from the river near the village since they got angry with her last time she had done so.

Looking down into the water she smiles at the sight of the creatures swimming about in the water. Unaware of a little girl who has a craving for them. Tying her dress up so the bottom doesn't get wet she ventured out on a mission of caring fish. Laughing and giggling as one she almost caught just away from her hands before she goes and tries to grab another. Unknown to her a pair green sharp eyes watching her.

Unknown POV:

He watched the curious little thing attempt catching a fish. She was thin... to thin even for her age..

"what is a human kit doing out here so far from a villiage..."

He sniffs the air to see if there are anymore near. Figuring out there are no others and the girl is by her lonesome he takes to observe some more before he decides what to do.

He watches as she continues to splash about in her unsuccessful attempt at catching fish. Chuckling as he decides to go out and help the poor thing. But before he is able to do so a snake yokai launches out at the girl.

Going on instinct along he darts out in time to throw the demon off course and away from the girl who had screamed in alarm at the sudden appearance of both of them.

Keeping eyes on the demon he waits for the next move.

Normal POV:

The snake demon glares at the reason for her meal being late. She should have already be full and happy by now. Human children are such easy things to hunt.

" Come now fox there isss not enough of her to go around. Why not run along and find your own meal. Thissss little tender thing is mine"

The fox demon stand his ground between Kagome and the snake demon.

" I'm sure a hunter such as yourself can find another prey to feast on. You best do so now before I leave you in pieces"

Kagome to afraid to move can only watch as the snake demoness hisses. Her sharp fangs and scaly body causing even more shivers to go up her spine. She looks to the other demon who is not as scary.

He has somewhat long red hair and pointy ears. Fancy clothes too. Ones she has never even seen before. He looks human but from the stories she has heard from other it is safe to say he is not. After all what human can move that fast!

Before she has a chance to think deeper into the matter the snake demoness strikes at the Fox but he leaps away before she is able to pierce him.

Landing on the tips of his toes before he launches at her with his claws ready to slice. The snake howls at the cut she receives on her cheek before striking again and again causing him to continue to dodge her lest he be poisoned by the venom.

" oh come on now. I was so sure you could do better than that snake. You haven't even scratch me yet." He says with a smirk on his face before using his magic to play a trick of a spinning top. Out of instinct she reaches out to stop it only to find her self clinging onto it unable to top spinning.

" HOW DARE YOU!! SSSSTTOOOP THISSS THING AT ONCE!!!"

Laughing he shrugs if you insist. Snapping his fingers the spinning stops suddenly causing her to fly through the sky far away screaming.

Letting out a breath of air he turns his attention to the girl smiling.

" Are you alright little one?"

kagome nods her head still unsure about him. But doesn't feel threatened at all. If anything his fun easy going aura calms her.

" what's your name? I am known as Toshiyuki."

Kagome only stares but he continues to smile at the girl even when she doesn't respond. Having a thought he puts his palms together before blowing into them. Curious kagome watches as he opens them to see a butterfly of fire fly out and flap around her. Staring at it in amazement as she watches it poof away in a puff of smoke.

" wow! That was really neat!" She says smiling at the stranger. "Can you teach me how to do that?!"

Toshiyuki chuckles and shakes his head. " unfortunately I don't think you will be able to. Now why don't we get you back to your parents" he says as he stands ready to take her back to where ever she had came from. Look down he notices the look on her face.

" what is wrong little one?"

Kagome picks at her fingers before she is able to say. " I have no parents sir. They had both died last year..." He gives a sad look at her " I apologize. Do you stay with anyone then. A guardian?"

she shakes her head unwillingly to speak. But this stranger asked her a question that she has never heard before from anyone.

"Do you want to live with me then?"

Kagome gasps and looks up at the handsome stranger in astonishment. "B-b-but you do not know me sir! "

He smiles " I know enough to know you are a kind girl. And if you wish you can stay with me. You won't have to worry about finding food. I will feed you and help you grow but only if you wish so"

she thinks only for a moment before smiling brightly and nodding her head " yes!! Yes I would love that very much!"

he nods before lifting her up onto his shoulders " alrighty well what is the name of my new kit?"

kagome laughs before answering " my name is kagome!"

he Carries her like that through the woods. Going father and deeper than she had ever had the courage to do. Before long they come upon a side of a mountain that is covered in vines and growth. She tilts her head. " why did we stop here? There is only a wall. You gonna climb it?" She tilts her head up thinking that there is something up high but finds nothing.

Toshiyuki only laughs. " always remember. Things are not always what they appear to be." He whispers some strange words and right before her very eyes, what was one the side of a mountain covered in vines and things became a Stoney arch way that had a village on the other side of it.

With lush cherry blossoms and other greenery. There were children running around playing as they laughed and giggled at one another.

It was so bright. So pretty. It felt so happy.

" Welcome home Kagome."
