Orange
Carefully Bell-mère cut a ripe fruit off and laid it into her basket. After many years without care, the trees of her family oraches did grow many fruits. So, each one was very precarious to her as they were the only source of income for her and her little family.
A small cry a few trees away pulled her from her thoughts.
Hastily, Bell-mère rushed to the source of the cry.
Her tiny daughter Nami rested in a basket under some branches. With teary eyes, the little girl tried to reach an orange fruit hanging over her head but couldn't get it.
"You want that orange?" asked Bell-mère, caressing the baby's cheek.
Nami whined.
Smiling, Bell-mère took her scissors and cut the fruit off. Giving Nami the much too big fruit for tiny baby hands, Bell-mère watched her daughter look at the fruit in wonder before she giggled happily.
