So I know I probably take too many hiatus' from this story, and I apologize for it (even though these apologies seem like dog sh*t by now...) I honestly don't know why I'm severely inconsistent with updating this story and I feel bad for the people who want to see what happens next. Anyhow, I'm sorry and I hope I can update this more often. I'm sincerely sorry even if you think my apologies are absolute dogsh*t by now.
"She doesn't have to repeat herself to someone as gross as you! So, I suggest giving her the space she wants and getting the hell away from her!" Arnold glared. "Or what?!"
"Do I need to rearrange your eyes to make you see better?" He held Curly's throat. He went wide-eyed and tried to free himself. Surprisingly, Arnold had a tight grip.
"Now, I suggest getting out of my sight…" Arnold let go. Curly immediately cowered away. "This isn't over, football face!" He ran away.
Arnold merely rolled his eyes.
"Oh, my God, thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I can't believe I sometimes take you for granted!" Rhonda hugged Arnold tightly. Arnold raised an eyebrow when she heard the granted part, but he felt sorry for her and instead shrugged it off.
Rhonda wasn't afraid of hiding her love for Arnold, so she decided to show it publicly.
"Come here, you football head!" Rhonda had her hands behind Arnold's ears and started to passionately kiss him.
Everyone watching them gasped. Most of them were absolutely dumbfounded and lost for words, and Helga was one of them.
"What in the freaking world am I witnessing?! Princess Lloyd and the stupid football hear KISSING?!" Helga thought to herself as she started feeling nauseous.
Some of the girls there were rather in awe. Rhonda Lloyd found love in Arnold.
"I love you so much, Arnold!" Rhonda soon said and hugged him. Arnold hugged her back. "I love you more." He gave a small smile.
"Gross!" Harold blurted out. "Does someone have a bag I can puke in?" Sid covered his mouth. "Ow!"
Gerald slapped their backs. "Will you two shut up for once? Let them have their moment." Gerald raised an eyebrow at the three. Stinky didn't say a word.
"Is it alright if we… talk? Outside?" Arnold asked after the kiss. She only nodded with a smile.
Arnold grabbed her and the two soon walked outside the cafeteria.
Phoebe watched the two love birds leave and soon turned around to an infuriated Helga Pataki.
"How can that stupid princess take Arnold away from me?! ME! Oh, this is just the beginning-"
"Of something horrible…" Phoebe whispered to herself. "What was that?!"
"Nothing."
"This is just the beginning…" Helga gave an evil grin.
"Rhonda, I- I just want to say I'm sorry about the other day, I just feel jealous you were seeing someone else when I saw that stuffed bear! And what I want to say is… I love you, with all my heart. That's why I felt jealous about that bear, I thought someone else gifted that to you…"
"Aw, Arnold, there's no need to worry about that! I would never meet anyone as special as you, buddy! You know… I'll still give you that bear!" She replied with a wholehearted smile. "I'd love that, a reminder that you're always with me." Arnold smiled.
"Awww." She blushed. Arnold then held Rhonda's hand. "If I had a ring pop, I'd slip right into your finger." Arnold chuckled. "Only a ring pop? Why I expected a big diamond." Arnold raised an eyebrow and lowered his other eyelid.
"I'm kidding! But we don't need rings or ring pops, we have each other, and that's all I care about." Rhonda had a wholehearted smile. Arnold smiled as well.
"How about we finally make it official?"
"Definitely." He started. "Rhonda Wellington Lloyd, will you do me the honor and be my beloved girlfriend?" Arnold held both Rhonda's hands. "I certainly do." She had a beaming smile.
Soon, Rhonda felt something on her shoulder.
"What the- AH! A SPIDER!" Rhonda jumped into Arnold's arms. "Nadine…" Arnold lowered his eyelids.
"Sorry you guys, but I couldn't help it. And why are you two over here all alone?" Nadine looked at the two in confusion.
"Uhhh…" Arnold started. "What he said." Rhonda replied.
"Huh?"
"Nadine, please don't tell anyone yet, we want to be the ones to tell everyone." Arnold soon said. "Did you guys…?"
"We're officially dating!" Rhonda said excitedly and kissed Arnold's cheek.
"Oh! I thought maybe you guys secretly wanted to get married or something."
"We're still young, so we have time to think about how we want it to go." Rhonda blushed. "Hopefully I don't have my leg tied to a ball and chain." Arnold rolled his eyes.
"Oh, don't worry, sweetie! I'll make sure to have two."
"What…?"
"I'm kidding!" She chuckled. "I'll leave you guys alone now." Nadine smirked as she walked away.
"Now that she's gone… How about a little kiss for us?" Rhonda smirked as she held Arnold's chin. Arnold only blushed and had a goofy smile.
"I'll take it as a yes." She giggled and started kissing him.
"What's wrong, girl?" Gerald walked up to Phoebe. Helga had left a minute ago. "Not too good, I'm afraid. Helga might be wanting to intervene with those two."
"Somehow, I always have a terrible feeling it's always Pataki wanting to spoil everything for Arnold. Heck, maybe in different timelines." Gerald sat down. "Gerald, please, there's no way there are different timelines where we probably exist. Besides, how different would things be in different timelines?"
"Being first responders? Maybe unsung heroes to this very city? Arnold is with a different girlfriend?"
"Different girlfriend? How so?"
"Think of it almost like Pataki and Rhonda combined. Rhonda's hair color, Helga's attitude along with Rhonda's kindness."
"Well, that seems a little far-fetched… What's next? You're gonna say the girl wears a beanie?" Gerald looked over. "How'd you know?"
"Ugh, I don't know… What I do know is that Helga is wanting to interfere with Arnold and Rhonda."
"I don't know about you, but I'm not gonna be standing for it. Curly is also on the prowl, and knowing that lunatic, he's bound to do anything…" Gerald replied as a flatbed truck was seen outside the window. It was carrying a trashed Fire Ladder with a tarp covering it.
"Geez, that thing is trashed." Sid noticed through the window. "That thang looks worse than those people who mess with bulls." Stinky added.
"What are you guys lookin' at- Oh, geez!" Gerald came over.
The flatbed truck was briefly stopped for a few minutes and unfortunately displayed the crashed Ladder unit.
"Well, that's one way to lose your job if you don't have any excuses." Phoebe came over. "Why does this feel like deja vu?" She asked herself.
"What's going on, you guys?" Arnold asked. "Why's everyone at the window?"
"Arnold, come check this out!" Sid waved him over. The two walked over.
"Goodness gracious, what the heck happened to that?" Arnold noticed the Ladder unit. "If you ask me, it looks like a reckless driver finally caused one of those to crash."
"That stupid football head, and his stupid little Rhondaloid pretty powder-puff princess! I'll show that football head who his true love is! And soon, I'll be having world domination! Wait, why did that just come to mind? And why am I thinking of a whole orange smoke cloud covering the city?" Helga asked herself. "Why the hell am I thinking about a military army and thinking we're the future of this world? Geez, there are so many questions I have alluva sudden." She lowered her eyelids.
"Anyhow, that football head is mine…! Mine, and mine only…! I'll soon show him what Pataki love feels like rather than some snobby rich princess love! Sure she looks a whole lot more beautiful than me, but who the hell does she think she is to steal him away from his true love?! We have way more similarities than her!" Helga stomped away as she kept grumbling.
While everyone was still looking at the crashed Fire truck, mostly debating what happened, Rhonda slithered her arms around Arnold and kissed his cheek from behind. She then rested her head on his shoulder.
"No way! That couldn't have happened!"
"Quite affectionate, aren't you, Princess?" Arnold smiled at Rhonda. She only nodded happily.
"Oh, stop it! A bus probably crashed into it!"
"What? That's not what happened!"
"Oh, yeah? Were you there? No? Exactly."
"Aw, I love you, my lovable, goofy blonde-haired Prince." Rhonda wholeheartedly smiled at him. Arnold smiled back and had a hand on one of her arms.
"Dude, shut up. That's not the way it happened!"
"Like you saw what happened. You're not even old enough to ride in the front seat!"
"Have I ever told you that I love you, Rhonda?" Arnold smiled. "Maybe… I'd love to hear more." She replied with a smile.
Arnold was finally happy now that everything was cleared up, and that he was dating the love of his life.
