You know, one thing I've been debating is whether the "Arnold Loves Rhonda" story should be deleted considering it was short and looks lazily written, only good thing was the final chapter to be fair. Uh, apart from that, I think the rest of the stories will stay since they're pretty good. With that out of the way, I hope you'll enjoy this unique chapter I personally had fun writing!

"Uh, Miles? You really thought THIS was a good idea?" Stella looked around.

Where were they? Miles knew the answer.

"I had an old known person who took me to this place. I was just amazed at how someone left all these rigs abandoned and left them to collect dust and rust."

Miles and Stella were at an abandoned fire apparatus site. All kinds of trucks there, Engines, Ladders, Bucket Towers, Tillers, Squad trucks, and even ambulances there.

Stella merely shrugged. "I'll admit, this place does seem pretty intriguing, but I'm not exactly sure what Arnold would think. I mean, this place is literally abandoned, all these rusty trucks."

"Oh, come on, it'll be great to see these old rigs! For example, that one over there!" Miles pointed at a truck that had a rusted silver front. "An old Mack CF Ladder, an amazing antique right there! Commonly used in Chicago, believe it or not!" He smiled at Stella, who had her arms crossed with a small smile while she looked away.

"Oh, what the heck? Alright, fine. Let's see what Arnold will think of this." She shrugged.

Later

Back at the same abandoned truck yard several minutes after school, Arnold, Miles, and Stella were there once more.

Stella ruffled her son's hair with a smile. "It probably isn't what you had in mind at ALL, but your father and I wanted to take you to see something new!"

Arnold smiled at them. "I'm just happy to be with you guys once more."

The two crouched near their son.

"Oh, sweetheart." Stella kissed his forehead.

"That's our boy." Miles ruffled his hair.

Arnold then looked around. "Say, does anyone know exactly what brands these old trucks are? I mean, we're here for a reason, no?" Miles rubbed his shoulder. "And that's where I come in! I know I may have been a doctor scientist, but I also have some secrets even I don't share with my Stella." He chuckled.

Stella smacked his shoulder while he chuckled.

Miles then looked around to see where they could start. "Hmmm…. How about that one?" He pointed to a recently abandoned Tiller.

"Trucks like that exist?" Arnold asked curiously. "Yup, they can, Arnold. Up to 107 feet vertically which makes them extraordinary, and in other words, up to six or seven stories high."

Arnold blinked in surprise. "Woah, that's really amazing." He then saw another truck that caught his eye. "Hey, what's that heavy one over there?" He asked while Stella slowly rubbed her hand through his hair.

"Oh, that truck?" Miles saw where Arnold pointed. "Ah, looks like another recently abandoned Squad truck, the heavier kind."

Stella chuckled. "You are one weird man, Miles."

"How about we go and approach these rigs? Couldn't hurt." Miles suggested. "Hey, let's check that one over there!" Stella finally saw something that caught her eye.

An older model Aerial Ladder that was brought in from Chicago, based on the paint scheme and old rusted 'CFD' logos.

"Ah! An old Chicago rig! Man, the way the trucks are painted there is amazing if anything." Miles replied as they walked over.

Stella noticed something she found… found rather satisfying. "Hey, look how long the ladder is, it's going like three and a half feet past the cab." She pointed.

"Some trucks are like that. Others are shorter by like five-seven or even ten feet or so." Miles replied as he looked around the cab area. "Hey, Dad, what's that big red bar thing?" Arnold noticed something around the ladder.

"That, my boy," Miles crouched "Is what holds the ladder in place! Without it, that thing is probably swinging about." Miles chuckled.

Stella swiped her finger against a door and noticed how dusty the truck is… "Maybe doing that wasn't such a good idea…" She cleaned it off against her clothing.

They soon walked to the rear of the truck, where the turntable itself was at.

"Pretty sure that thing isn't functional at all but I'm pretty sure it won't give you an eyesore either." Miles chuckled while Stella playfully rolled her eyes. Stella noticed an EMS logo. "Hey, this looks pretty neat! I'm guessing the department it came from had an ambulance there?" Stella looked at Miles.

Miles shrugged. "I'd probably have to say I don't know but I assume so."

"Hey, Mom, with that being an EMS logo, maybe you could try your luck with that job! Dad?" Arnold looked up at his father. Miles thought for a moment. "Well… Being a paramedic has its own risk, somewhat, but I think maybe that could work out. OR, maybe, be top-notch and be in one of these babies!" Miles slapped the truck. Dust came off in a small cloud.

Stella smirked. "Oh? Well, how about you try this? Mm?"

Miles chuckled nervously. "Yeah, I think it's best we take time to decide what career we should pursue…" Miles then pictured what Stella would look like one day. "Chief Stella Shortman has a nice ring to it…" He smirked.

"Oh, stop it." Stella giggled and crouched to Arnold. "I think we should enjoy our time off with our little boy and later on decide what we do for a job. Our family is more important than anything." Stella kissed Arnold's cheek. She then giggled. "Well, I'd have to say being Chief would be something. But, I'm still going with my family." Stella kissed his cheek again.

Arnold then saw something else. He pointed and looked at his Dad. "Hey, Dad, look at that truck over there!"

Miles saw where he pointed. "Ah, yes, the good old Tiller! If I'm not wrong, I believe that truck is one of the longest of any apparatus."

Stella chuckled. "You're always wrong! Why else did I stop listening to you?" Miles rolled his eyes.

"Anyways…." Miles crouched to Arnold. "How about we all stick around for a couple of hours and check out some more of these beauties?" He suggested to his son. Stella crouched as well. "How 'bout it, sweetheart?"

Arnold nodded with a smile. His parents smiled back.

Hours Later

"At least this truck isn't as rusted as the previous one…" Stella lowered her eyelids. "And at least we didn't decide to lay a finger on them." She shrugged.

"Oh, come on, Stella, it's not like these trucks will fall apart just by laying a finger on them." Miles said.

CLANG

A small lug nut fell off the rim.

"Oh-kayyy…" Miles looked at the lug nut.

Stella rolled her eyes. "I guess that's a sign to keep your mouth shut." She then chuckled. "This thing was falling apart anyhow." Miles shrugged, trying to play it off. Stella looked down to see Arnold, only…

"Where's Arnold?" She started to frantically look around. "Arnold!?"

Arnold peered out from a different truck. "Over here!" He gave a cheeky smile.

Miles and Stella walked over.

"You cheeky little…!" Stella crouched and cupped his face playfully. She let go and saw the truck he was hiding behind. "This has to be the tenth CFD truck I've seen today." She blankly stared.

Miles saw the logo. But was rather surprised by what he found on the passenger door behind the driver. "Uh, Stella? I don't think this is from Chicago…."

Stella raised an eyebrow and looked at him. "What? What do you mean?" Miles pointed. She saw it was the Hillwood F.D. logo, specifically, a three-headed flaming beast with the emblem 'Fighting 17th' underneath.

"Stella somewhat recognized it. "Hold on, I think I know this emblem!" Arnold looked up at her. "What? What do you mean?" He asked. "My father had a short time in the HFD and the house he was working at had this specific emblem!"

Arnold looked at her again. "What does that do with anything?" Miles shushed him. "Shhh!"

"Like I was saying, the house he was at had this emblem because it encountered the grain silo fire of 17th street! I don't know much about it but I do know it took the lives of many men and women. And to every house that responded that call that night, received this unique emblem 'Fighting 17th' under their logos." Stella explained.

Miles looked at her rather impressed. "Wow… I- You never told me you had a Dad in the HFD."

Stella smirked. "Well, I have my own secrets even I don't tell you, but I'm pretty sure Arnold found it interesting! Right, sweetie?" She looked down to see Arnold staring at the emblem.
"Arnold?"

"Mom, that was an amazing story yet a sad one, honestly. But wow, this is really something!" Arnold said.

Miles and Stella smiled at their son.

"Our little Arnold." The two crouched to him. Stella kissed his cheek as they noticed the afternoon sun.

"Alright, you two, how about we start heading home and get something to eat together?" Miles smiled at his wife and son. They nodded with a smile.

Stella looked at her son. "So, sweetie, how was this rather unusual day today for you? It was your Dad's idea to bring us here. What do you think?" She asked. Arnold smiled back. "Today was amazing! Getting to learn about many of these trucks was honestly amazing, and I honestly think it was just something unique and new for me." He looked at both his parents.

"I'm more than glad you loved, Arnold." Miles smiled and ruffled his hair.

Soon, the three of them soon started walking out of the truck yard.

Later At Home

Soon, the front door opened to Arnold on Stella's back laughing along with Miles.

"Miles, you better keep that fat mouth of yours shut!" Stella finally started to calm down and set Arnold on the ground. She ruffled his hair and smiled. "Alright, honey, just go wait for us in the kitchen, 'kay?" Stella asked. Arnold smiled at her and nodded. He soon went to the kitchen and left Miles and Stella with joyful smiles.

"I can't tell you how happy it makes me seeing Arnold like this, and I'm more happy he's spending more time with us." Stella smiled while Miles rubbed her shoulder.

In the kitchen, Arnold ran into his Grandpa, who was getting a mug full of orange juice.

"Ah! Shortman! Why I haven't seen a smile that big on your face since you started dating that rich girl!" Grandpa Phil noticed the expression on his grandson's face. Arnold shrugged. "So, how's it lookin' for that sack of money?" Grandpa asked teasingly.

"Grandpa…" Arnold lowered an eyelid and raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, I'm just kiddin' you, Arnold!" Grandpa chuckled. "So, how was it today with your parents, Shortman?" He drank his orange juice.

"Grandpa, I can't tell you just how amazing today was, honestly! This truck had some of the greatest things I've ever seen! And better yet, not only did my Dad know about most of them, Mom knew about a special emblem one of the trucks had! Did you know her father used to be in the HFD, though?" Arnold replied and asked at the end.

"Oh, is that the nonsense she was rambling on years ago?" Grandpa teased.

"Grandpa!" Arnold frowned.

"Oh, I'm kidding, Shortman! I may have known throughout these years… I- I just never told you because his career was short by four years, and well, I- I didn't want to scare you in your childhood with the insane stories about him and his dangerous career. I'm sorry, Shortman." Grandpa kneeled and patted his shoulder.

Arnold warmly smiled. "I probably don't know the dangers he ran, but I do know he signed up for a sacrifice, based on what you and Mom are telling me. And don't worry about not telling me those stories, Grandpa, maybe one day you'll be able to tell me!" Grandpa chuckled. "Maybe one day, Shortman, but not right now. But maybe, I can tell you about the rankings!" Phil replied.

"Like the Chief ranking I heard my parents talking about?" Arnold asked.

"Yup! I may have been a private during World War II, but I do know things when it comes to this!" He chuckled. "Why don't you grab a bite with your parents and you come talk to me about the firefighting ranks?" He offered.

"Sounds great, Grandpa. Thanks." Arnold hugged him. Grandpa Phil hugged him back and smiled. "Anytime, Shortman."

Soon, Miles and Stella walked into the kitchen.

"Hey, Dad!" Miles hugged Phil. "Oh, how's my boy?" Phil chuckled and patted his back. He then saw Stella smiling while caressing Arnold's cheek. She looked down at her son who smiled at her.

"Alright, honey, let's get something to eat now. What do you say, sweetie?" Stella asked Arnold with a smile and crouched to him. Arnold only nodded while smiling. Stella kissed his cheek. Miles and Phil smiled as well.
