Chapter 4

'There will be rules. You are not to leave the school grounds. You are not allowed to walk around the school on your own. At least one of the Winx has to be with you all the time. Do not attack any of my students or the teachers. If just one of you harms anyone all three of you leave.' Faragonda listed the rules.

'Let me make something clear. The only reason you are allowed to stay is because we all have the same goal. For the duration of your stay we are not enemies. We work together.' Griffin continued 'Have we made ourselves clear?'

'Yes.' Icy answered

'Whatever..' the storm witch replied

'Darcy?' Griffin looked at the brunette

'Yes. Crystal clear.' Darcy reluctantly said.

'Winx?' Faragonda asked

'If you think we will be able to get rid of the ancestral witches faster like that…alright.' Bloom answered

''Good. Tomorrow we start to develope a plan. Now if you would excuse me, we need a new and stronger protection shield. I already took care of your temporary rooms ' Alfeas headmistress ended the conversation.

'I don't get why they have to stay with us.' Stella whispered to Flora

'We are supposed to keep an eye on them, Stella.' Flora whispered back.

'But I don't want them to follow us around.' The blonde fairy replied

'We can hear you!' Stormy said.

'I don't care!' Stella said and was about to turn around and look at the storm witch but Flora grabbed her arm and stopped her.

They continued their way towards the Winx suite in silence. When they arrived the Winx noticed an additional room.

'Alright. That must be your room. Breakfast is at seven. Good night.' Layla said without any emotion. She, Tecna and Musa went inside their shared room. Stella left as well. She still had her own bedroom.

'There is a bathroom down the hall and a second one right there. If you need anything just ask.' Flora said. 'You didn't bring a bag. Give me a minute and I will bring you some clothes.' The flower fairy left to what the Trix assumed was her room.

'Anything else?' Darcy asked

'No, I don't -' Bloom started but was cut off

'Great.' The witch of darkness replied and left together with Stormy.

'I know they might not be your choice of colour but they will do until-' Flora came back. She was holding three sets of pyjamas when she noticed Icy and Bloom were the only two people left . 'Oh….where are the other two?' Flora directly asked Icy.

'Don't worry about them. It was a long day.' Icy answered. Flora nodded and walked over to her and gave her the clothes. Then the flower fairy excused herself and went to bed as well.

'I think you did the right thing. Not going back to them when they ordered you to.' Bloom said. 'And Darcy and Stormy will come to that conclusion as well. You'll see, the three of you will be causing mischief again in no time.' She noticed how neither Darcy nor Stormy had talked to the ice witch. They ignored her.

'I am not so sure about that.' Icy replied and was about to go into her room when Bloom stopped her.

'Wait. Should we be worried? Are your sisters angry at you because they wanted to go back to the ancestral witches? They won't be sabotaging us, right?'

' No, they won't. My sisters are angry at me because I didn't include them in the decision, they would have acted the same way I did.' Icy reassured the fire fairy.

'Okay.' The ice witch noticed that Bloom left towards the same room Flora disappeared in.

'Tell her thank you for the clothes.' Icy told Bloom. The princess of Domino nodded.

The next morning things were really strange in the Winx suite. It is only now that they all realized what they got themselves into.

Layla and Stella were completely ignoring the three new roommates. Musa and Tecna didn't talk to them but they were not denying their presence. Darcy and Stormy didn't talk to anyone, not even their older sister. Icy did talk, but only when she was asked something and she would only answer in short sentences. The questions were either asked by Bloom or Flora.

Awkward would be the best word to describe their current situation. It got only weirder at breakfast. Most of the students weren't back at school yet because it was still summer holidays, but those students who were already back seemed to be very confused until Faragonda informed them all that the Trix would be staying with them for some time. The students very quickly followed Stella and Laylas lead and ignored them completely.

The headmistress also informed them about the potential threat and that everyone should be careful. She then walked over to where the nine girls sat. 'When you're done with breakfast I want you to come to the library.'

''Of course, Miss Faragonda.' Bloom answered

…Twenty minutes later…

The nine girls were now in the library. Both Faragonda and Griffin were there as well. They were trying to figure out where Belladonna, Liliss and Tharma could be hiding. So far they had no idea on where to start.

''What do we know?' Tecna asked as she was scrolling through her computer

'We know they're not in Obsidian anymore.' Darcy muttered sarcastically as she was looking through a book when she got an idea ' Wait! How about we try to figure out where they can't be.'

'Look who decided to join the conversation. I thought you would be silent forever. ' Musa said sarcastically.

'I want to get out of here as soon as possible. And if that means I need to talk to you pixies then so be it. ' Darcy replied and forcefully closed the book she was reading.

''That's not how you should treat a book' Stormy mockingly said

'Shut up, Stormy' The witch of darkness looked at her younger sister.

'How are we supposed to know which planets they are not on?' Bloom wanted to know

'I don't know. But at least I had an idea.' Darcy rolled her eyes.

'Maybe we can trace their magic and narrow potential planets down like this' Griffin said

' I'll try to look if my system can locate any strange magical outbursts' Tecna already started to look through her computer. After two minutes she said 'Nothing. The only thing my system is able to locate is the battle from yesterday.'

'Do you think they could be hiding somewhere in Magix?' Stella asked.

'It would be clever of them to hide in plain sight.' Faragonda replied

Icy had another idea. 'The summoning coin is still active, right? Maybe your computer can trace back the magic on the coin and lead us to the ancestral witches.'

'That could work.' Tecna agreed

'Do you have it with you?' Griffin asked

'No, I left it in our room' Icy answered

' Go get it ' Faragonda said.

The ice witch made her way over to the door. When nobody said anything or moved after a few seconds Icy turned around and asked ' Did I miss something? As far as I know I am not allowed to walk around the school on my own. Who is going to accompany me?'

Bloom ended up going with her. They walked down the halls without saying anything and when they were on their way back to the library they came across a person.

''Bloom?'

'Sky? What are you doing here?' Bloom smiled and gave her boyfriend a quick kiss. That's when she noticed how his eyes widened.

''What's wrong. You look concerned?' Bloom asked

'Ehm…Is there something you might want to tell me?' Sky looked at his girlfriend.

'What are you talking about?' Bloom asked confused

'I don't know…Maybe I want to know how things are going with your parents on Domino….maybe I am curious about the battle your friends were in yesterday…..maybe I am just confused about seeing a certain wanted criminal in Alfea' Sky answered

'What?' Bloom replied

'He is talking about me.' Icy said and rolled her eyes 'And just for your information the other two wanted criminals are here as well.'

'Ohh…..The Trix are here to help with a problem that we might have caused when we destroyed Obsidian.' Bloom explained to her boyfriend

'What kind of problem do we need their help with.' Sky looked over at the ice witch 'Usually they are the cause of the problem'

'We set the ancestral witches free. We didn't destroy them like we thought we had.' Bloom answered

'What? And you seriously believe these three witches are willing to help defeat their ancestors? ' Sky said unconvinced

'Yes. Trust me, we fully discussed our agreement yesterday and set some rules' Bloom clarified and Sky nodded 'I trust you'

'Can we go back to the library now?' Icy asked

'Do you see that. I am certain the battle yesterday was indeed caused by the ancestral witches. You were right, Icy. Together with the coin my computer was able to trace back the magic and draw a connection from it.' Tecna said

'Are you able to tell where they are now?' Faragonda wanted to know but Tecna shook her head. 'No, I am sorry. It is like they completely vanished after the battle.'

'Are you sure?' Icy asked

'Yes I am. Unless they start an attack again I can't trace them. Sorry, but I guess we're back at the beginning.' Tecna replied

They all groaned at that.

' Do we know if they have any allies? Someone who helps them? ' Sky asked

'None of their allies escaped after the battle on Domino. They are either dead or in prison. Mandragora was the last one and you finished her off in Obsidian.' Griffin said

'You pixies are sure you got rid off Mandragora, right? We don't want any surprises' Icy teased.

'Yes, we're very sure.' Bloom answered

'Just wanted to clarify ' Icy replied

'Thank god…I never liked that witch and her tiny little bugs. I once had a dream they were all crawling over me. ' Stormy said as a shiver ran down her back.

'Yeah..me too.' Darcy said frowning and then briefly looked over at the ice witch.

'Do you think they will be able to find new allies?' Flora asked around

'Possibly. They can be very convincing.' Miss Griffin answered

'How did they convince you three?' Bloom looked at the Trix.

'No convincing was needed. Mandragora walked right into the orphanage and took us with her.' Stormy explained.

'Orphanage?' Flora asked. All the Winx suddenly got really quiet

'After our father died, our mother..' Stormy pointed at herself and Darcy '.. couldn't take care of the three of us anymore and put us in an orphanage.'

'You have different mothers?' Faragonda asked

'Darcy and I share both parents. Icys mother…' Stormy wanted to explain but then stopped herself

'She died at my birth.' Icy finished for her . She noticed how Griffin was watching her

' Do you know what happened to Darcy and Stormys mother?' Griffin asked the white haired witch who shook her head.

'We never saw her again.' Icy replied

Faragonda and Griffin looked at eachother before deciding they should take a break. The nine girls and Sky made their way back to the Winx Suite.

Halfway there the group was stopped by Griffin. 'Icy, can I talk to you for a minute? ' Bloom was about to stay behind as well but Griffin stopped her.

'I want to talk to her alone. I will accompany her back to your suite later, I promise.'

Bloom nodded and left Griffin and Icy alone.
