The Horsemen were currently in a class with Teams RWBY and JNPR being taught by Professor Peter Port, who was going on a rather long-winded lecture. "Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!" He laughed.

"Guess humility isn't something they teach here." Death sighed.

However, things quickly became awkward at the silence he was receiving from the students. Clearly he was expecting them to cheer."Uhhhh... And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying: Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is absolutely teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear you to pieces! And that's where we come in. Huntsmen! Huntresses..." He said, stopping to give Fury a wink, to which she scoffed and turned away from him.

"Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!" He went on.

"Ayyyy-yep!" A random student in the back cheered, raising a fist, everyone looking at him weirdly.

"Well, at least he's got one fan." Strife said.

"That is what you are training to become. But first: A story. A tale of a young, handsome man... Me! When I was a boy..." He started, to which the Horsemen all let out a long groan.

Meanwhile, War noticed how Weiss was glaring as the younger girl did showed a hilarious, but inappropriate drawing of their teacher, "A true Huntsman must be honorable." Port said, Ruby making a silly face, balancing a pencil on one finger and crossing her eyes, Weiss getting angrier at her display. "A true huntsman must be dependable." He continued, Ruby sleeping and Weiss getting even more pissed. "A TRUE huntsman must be strategic, well-educated and wise!" He finished, Ruby picking her nose and Weiss becoming FURIOUS. War didn't exactly approve of this behavior, but it was hardly a reason for such anger from the heiress. "So, who among you believes yourself to be the embodiments of these traits?" He asked.

"I do, sir!" She said, loudly and angrily, raising her hand. Fury narrowed her eyes at the winter-colored girl.

"Well, then, let's find out!" He said, gesturing for her to come down into the middle of the room, in front of a cage. "Step forward, and face your opponent!" He said as she looked at the red eyes behind the bars of the cage.

Weiss then left the room to change into her combat attire, all while Fury kept her eyes on the younger girl. "This girl clearly thinks far too highly of herself." She said.

"Did you forget how you used to be, sis?" Strife asked her.

The female Nephilim growled at this. "That is the point. I know how foolish my behavior was. And this girl is coming dangerously close to repeating it." She explained.

After returning in her usual outfit with her weapon by her side, Weiss now stood in front of the cage a few feet away. "Goooo, Weiss!" Yang cheered, raising a fist.

"Fight well!" Blake said, waving a flag that said "RWBY".

"Yeah! Represent teeam RWBY!" Ruby cheered.

She lowered her sword and turned angrily towards her leader. "Ruby! I'm trying to focus!" She snapped.

"Oh, um... Sorry." The younger girl apologized.

It was War's turn to narrow his eyes now. "Notice how she didn't snap at the others." He pointed out to his siblings.

"After they had set aside their differences yesterday, her aggression returns even more invigorated. Clearly she was not happy at the choice of her team's leader." Death realized.

"Allllright!" Professor Port said, standing next to the cage, pulling out his axe. "Let the match... begin!" He said, swinging his axe, destroying the lock and freeing the boarbetusk, which immediately charged at Weiss.

She used Myrtenaster to deflect its attack and rolled to the side, readying herself for its next move. The Grimm stood a distance away from its enemy, studying her. "Ha-ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?" He asked confidently.

The Nephilim all sighed or scoffed at Weiss. "There's plenty of gaps in between that armor she could've hit! If she just side-stepped, she'd've had carte blanche on that thing! Rapiers are literally made to stab between the gaps in armor!" Strife criticized.

"Hang in there, Weiss!" Ruby said.

But Weiss simply sped towards the oncoming Boarbatusk, sticking her blade straight at its skull until they met and Myrtenaster was trapped in the beast's tusks. Weiss still hung on to the hilt and was tossed around as she struggled to get the rapier back. "A bold new approach! I like it." Port said.

"He shouldn't. That was a foolish move that could've easily gotten her killed." War criticized.

"Any stronger foe, or one that actually had arms could've easily disarmed, leaving her defenseless and them free to punish her." Death agreed.

"Come on, Weiss, show it who's boss!" Ruby cheered.

Weiss turned and glared at Ruby, only for the Boarbatusk to turn its head and rip the sword from her grip. "Taking her eyes off her opponent. This girl is making every mistake a person could make against such an opponent.

Myrtenaster landed far away from its master, who was knocked back by the creature's tusks. "Oh-ho! Now what will you do without your weapon?" Port asked.

Weiss looked terrified as the monster charged at her, but managed to quickly roll out of the way as the boar charged her, resulting in it crashing against the front desks, allowing her to run and slide to retrieve her weapon.

"Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armor underneath-" Ruby advised.

"Stop telling me what to do!" Weiss snapped at the younger girl, leaving her with a hurt expression.

"I think she failed to understand the point of a leader." War said.

Meanwhile, the Boarbatusk leapt into the air and rolled into a ball, spinning rapidly in the air and landing on the ground, consistently gaining speed until it launched itself at Weiss. It came closer and closer, but Weiss activated two of her blue-white glyphs, one in front of her to block the roll, another in the air behind her to leap up into, turning it into a black snowflake symbol and turning it blue again so she could launch herself forward and drive the blade into the Boarbatusk's stomach. It squealed and fell silent while Weiss gasped in relief.

End Music

"Bravo! Bra-vo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training!" as Weiss stands up at attention from her exhausted position and Ruby continues to frown. "I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings, and... stay vigilant! Class dismissed!" Port said.

Weiss glared and turned away, walking hurriedly to the exit past her teammates. "Sheesh, what's with her?"Jaune asked.

The remaining members of team RWBY and the Horsemen looked at each other with the same question. "Who knows? All I DO know is that attitude of hers is gonna be a problem." Strife said.

"Agreed. And I believe it's time to fix that problem." Fury said.

Weiss continued to storm off, but Ruby turned a corner and manages to catch up with her. "Weiss!" Ruby called. Dante followed the girls and now hid behind the corner, listening to the conversation.

"What?" The heiress demanded.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you being-?" Ruby started.

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You're supposed to be a leader, and all you've been so far is a nuisance!" The older girl berated her leader.

"If she is a nuisance, what does that make you? Because from where I see things, you're proving to be far more problematic than her." Fury said as she now stood behind.

"Fury." Ruby said in surprise.

Weiss was initially surprised as well, but quickly shook it off and glared into Fury's solid white eyes. "And how exactly have I been problematic!?" She demanded.

"You truly have to ask? Your actions in class spoke on a greater level than words ever could. You only volunteered when Port asked because you lost patience with Ruby's antics. And throughout your fight, you let your anger get the best of you. You were sloppy and uncoordinated, took the worst possible approach for both that particular opponent and your own fighting style and took your eyes off your opponent multiple times. And when your leader gave you solid advice, you snapped at her, even though you wound up using her advice. If I had been half as careless as you in the past, I would have been slain long ago." She told her.

"She shouldn't be the leader, though! She's done nothing to earn herr position! Back in the forest, she acted like a child, and she's only continued to do so!" Weiss snapped.

"Still here, you know..." Ruby muttered.

"She IS a child. She still has time to learn and grow. What then, is your excuse? Because as far as I can tell, you've been acting like a child and throwing a massive tantrum for not being given the position you wanted." Fury countered.

"How dare you!" Weiss snapped.

"I dare because I've seen you both in combat. You are both skilled for such young warriors, but you both have your flaws. Ruby's were most evident when she was attempting to impress you, but yours are just as easy to spot, if not more so. You constantly adjust yourself in combat and expect everything and everyone to attack in turn, but combat isn't like some foolish dance with proper timing and footing. It is chaos. It is unpredictable. And the best you can hope for is to come up with a battle strategy and hope it survives contact with with enemy. Ruby was able to do this to create a plan for the Nevermore while you were content to just throw all you had at it and prayed it would work. Her mind in battle is the only reason you are still here." Fury told her.

"You- That's not..." Weiss tried to argue, but couldn't find fault in the Nephilim's logic.

But the Black Rider wasn't done yet. "You only seek to be the leader to be above your teammates, because you see yourself as superior to them. You merely see the role of leader as a title you can brandish like a medal to lord over others. Your longing to be the team leader is born only out of selfish desire. That is why Ozpin chose her to lead your team." Fury explained.

"Well, he was wrong. Just like you are now. I've studied and trained. And quite frankly, I deserve better." The schnee girl snapped, pushing past Fury. "Ozpin made a mistake." She said, walking away, leaving Ruby to look down, dejected.

Fury sighed at this, looking at Ruby. "She speaks with her ego, not the truth." She assured the girl, who returned it with a small smile, before the Horseman followed after Weiss.

However, despite that reassurance, Ruby still remained uncertain of herself and saddened by Weiss' words. "Hey, chin up, kid. If FURY of all people is giving you that kind of praise, you must have done something to earn it." Strife said as he appeared behind Ruby.

Ruby gasped and jumped back a bit at this, before sighing in relief. "Whoa! Hey, Strife. You guys really like popping up behind people a lot." She said, before shaking her head and focusing back on his main point. "But you really think that Fury was right? I wasn't a bad pick for the leader?" She asked.

"Well, I'm pretty sure any other member of your team would be better than Ice Queen, but like my sister said, you were the one that came up with the plan that took down big bird back at the temple. It's only been one day. That's not a lot of time to do anything really big or amazing. You got a lot of skill and raw talent. You just need to refine it now. And this place is gonna help you do that. You're good now, so with some work, you'll be great. Just stop picking your nose." Strife told her.

Ruby blushed at this. "Oh. Right. Well, thanks. I really needed that." She said, turning away. "I'll see you later." She said, hurrying off to her next class.

"The two of you seem to be becoming quite well acquainted." Death noted with a chuckle as he and War walked up behind their final brother.

"Hey, when you've gotten around to knowing humans as long as I have, you tend to pick out the ones you like the best." Strife retorted.

Fury walked out onto a balcony, where she found Weiss staring out over the city. She soon walked up to the girl and leaned forward to rest on the railing like Weiss was. "Come to insult me some more?" Weiss asked angrily.

Fury sighed at this. "No. I wanted to tell you something." Fury told her. After a moment, Weiss turned to look at Fury, indicating the Black Rider had her attention. "I was once like you: proud, overconfident in my abilities, believing myself to be better than those around me. And yet, I was the least favored amongst myself and my brothers. I had a chance to prove myself and yet I demanded that, upon accomplishing my mission, I would be appointed to lead our team. But this sojourn revealed much about myself and allowed me to see how I was behaving and what I could become. I behaving like everything I stood against and I did not wish to be that way. So I learned to see my faults and become better than how I was before." Fury told her.

Weiss was surprised at this. To her, Fury had seemed like more of a brute than that titan she called a brother, War, perhaps even more than him. She had always seemed unpredictable, as if she would lash out at anyone for no reason at all. To hear that she had to go through so much soul-searching was a shock to the heiress. "Well... Good for you, then. That must have been difficult." Weiss said.

"It was, indeed. To take a long, hard look at myself and find my flaws was one of the hardest things I've had to do. But in the end, I emerged from it a better person and saw what I wanted to become. So, let me ask you: is this how you wish to become? Someone who becomes angry and resentful at everything when something doesn't go her way? Who is so busy trying to stand above others, unable to see their own flaws? Or do you wish to be better, so you can grow and become the best version of yourself?" Fury asked her.

Weiss looked uncertain for a moment, before gaining some resolve. "I will always strive to be the best version of myself." She declared.

Fury smiled at this. "Good. Then stop trying to fight with your team to try and be the leader to stand above them, but instead stand WITH them and allow them to help you grow to the best version of yourself and strive to help them grow to theirs." She advised the heiress.

"I will... Do my best. Thank you, Fury." She said, walking away.

The three male Nephilim would see Weiss walking away, appearing to be in a much better mood than she was before, then looking back to their sister as she approached them. "So, did you manage to melt the Ice Queen's frozen heart?" Strife asked.

"She likely still has a ways to go, but I believe I was able to put her on the right path." Fury said.

"Excellent work, both of you. A house divided against itself cannot stand. They cannot be a team that watches out for each other if they are at each other's throats." Death praised the two of them.

"Indeed. I'm curious to see how these children will grow, but they must be willing to do so first." War added.

"I'm sure they will all grow through shared experiences together." Fury assured her youngest brother, before smiling. "Now, then. Why don't we do something together? Our horses would certainly appreciate a ride through the forest." She offered.

"Now there's an idea I like." Strife said.

"Agreed. Ruin often gets restless if we do not ride regularly." War agreed.

"And I'm sure all of them would appreciate the chance to explore this new world. Let us go, then." Death said, the four of them leaping off the balcony and summoning their horses as they approached the ground, landing on them and riding off to the forest.
