Chapter 13: Complications

Loathing. Complete, and utter loathing for how she wavered to him. It was the feeling preoccupying her mind. Now that the overwhelming pleasure that encompassed her before had lifted from her, she was doused in the cold reality of what she had succumbed to. She would consider herself a strong-willed person normally; a facet of her personality that she was both admired and disliked for, depending on who you asked. That notable stubbornness she prided herself on left her tonight, and she had no justification for it. She knew, of course, what he was planning to do. As soon as he had them back in the room, it was scarily obvious where things were headed. She was prepared to fight him, even if it was futile, she wouldn't make it that easy. And somehow, something went wrong somewhere.

She was aware he was pretty experienced before he even touched her. Hell, he kept his face hidden to nearly everyone, and he still practically screamed sex appeal. That's why she knew he could always have his pick of women, before she was ever privy to him firsthand. She wasn't surprised at the skill he bestowed; she was appalled she gave into him so eagerly. She never thought she could be easily moved by something as inconsequential as lust. She was ignorant to the world of sex, not in an asinine way, but she simply didn't realize how irresistible it could be. She didn't think she'd submit to him, even scream his name, just as he predicted she would. 'I'm yours.' She said that to him, gave him what he demanded, all for an… orgasm. She in fact begged for it after saying those condemnable words. Even when she was affected by the endorphins rushing through her earlier, she remembered how heavy those words were. And yet, she said them anyway, because she was chasing the fall he kept bringing her to the edge for. Another tactic of his to get what he wanted. She knew full well what he was doing, what he was like, and she still caved. Weak. Deplorable. There unfortunately wasn't a strong enough word to describe her behavior. Her fingernails dug into her palms, breaking the skin, drawing blood, before she unclenched her hands. The last thing she needed was him barging in because he smelled it. She healed her palms of the shallow cuts before stepping into the shower. The water temperature she chose was scalding. It was fitting, considering how dirty she felt. She needed to wash away all of the temptation she surrendered herself to. Kakashi was many things, but she couldn't deny he was alluring, and the prior incident solidified that fact. His dominance was difficult to deal with in general – that was without his dark persona added onto it. But, in the aspect of the bedroom…she could understand the appeal it held.

But she didn't want this to happen again. She forwent her own principles; it was like she forgot why she didn't want him in the first place. He was her captain, her sensei in the loosest sense of the word. If that was the only reason she was resistant to his advances, she would have given in. The Kakashi she knew before her first 'real mission' was overbearing, but not terrible enough to dismiss completely. He was powerful, witty, and mysterious. She didn't know what he truly looked like, but she guessed at him being handsome, before she knew just how sinfully attractive he really was. She would have said no at first because of his reputation as an eternal bachelor, and his position as her captain. But in the end, she would have relented if he made it clear his intentions toward her were beyond a one-night stand. That was before, before she saw his mask ripped off personally.

She shivered, despite the heat bearing down on her back at the thought. If he wouldn't have allowed her to see, would she never have been the wiser to him until it was too late? It was a disturbing thought. Whatever his tragic backstory was, it had shaped him into this... He may not have turned against their village; he may not even be a rogue-nin. However, that didn't negate how unhinged he was.

She recalled feeling an absurd sense of safety, mixed with her desire, when he kissed her. How could she feel safe with Kakashi for even a moment? He was the furthest thing from safe.

"I won't do this again, I won't," she thought to herself vehemently. She let herself become overwhelmed by the feelings he instilled, but now she knew what to expect going forward.

As she closed her eyes, the images of earlier came to the forefront of her mind, taunting her. How was she supposed to act around him now? She scrubbed at her skin viciously, until it felt raw. When she stepped out of the shower, and was in front of the bathroom mirror, her eyes swept over her body critically. She still looked defiled. Her throat, her breasts, her hips, bore a few marks. It wasn't anything excessive, but enough to remind her of what happened. She quickly healed herself of them, needing the evidence of what she did gone from her body. She realized she'd have to go out there in only a towel, since she didn't bring clothes with her. Her hands trembled at the idea of facing him again. She took a deep breath to stabilize her breathing. She couldn't avoid him forever. She must have been in the bathroom for an hour at this point, so undoubtedly, he'd be coming to 'check on her' soon.

When she got closer to the door, her hearing focused on what was happening outside. She heard Naruto and Kakashi talking, and her cheeks heated at the implications of that. Naruto, and Sai, must have heard her… And on top of that, Kakashi answered the door to him, in the state he was in. He must smell like her, and he had to know that. Kakashi was very deliberate in his actions, so either he didn't care that Naruto would smell him, or he wanted to flaunt it. She wasn't sure which one was worse. She waited until she heard Naruto's footsteps fade away after the door shut before entering the room.

There was only a thin towel hiding her delectable body from him. She was scared, it wasn't difficult to pick up on. She avoided eye contact with him as she searched the room for her clothes, her shoulders tensed. He smelled her fear and admittedly, it was disappointing. It seemed his actions didn't propel him in the direction he wanted. She taunted him before, and it infuriated him. She had the gall to tell him he was threatened by another man. To tell him he was worried Sasuke would give her more than he could. It pissed him off, as he was sure was her intention, and he couldn't let it slide. He planned to wait a bit longer before he would touch her that way, as hard as it was to exercise his self-control. But when she said that; it was like she was daring him to prove otherwise. And he showed her just how mistaken she was. He didn't doubt himself at all. No woman was the same, and he was rather eager to find out what Sakura's body responded to. He knew already she had unconventional tastes to an extent; her reaction to his punishment suggested as much. He would have accepted if she wanted strictly vanilla sex. It wasn't his preference, obviously, but he would agree to whatever she wanted. Fortunately, what she wanted was something he was more than capable of doing. It was fitting really, how her desires aligned with a man like him so perfectly. Getting to sample her body made him want her even more. Her breasts were as he expected, not overly large, but they fit in his hands so perfectly. Round, perky, with rose-pink nipples that matched her hair. They were so soft and extremely responsive to him. To feel her muscular thighs around his face as they quivered in her ecstasy; it was divine. He palmed himself when she slipped back into the bathroom to change. His thoughts settled on a particular part of her anatomy he became acquainted with. It was so pretty, just as he told her. And she tasted wonderful to him, particularly when she cummed. Every sound she made was for him. Every orgasm was because of him. Every facial expression that illustrated her pleasure was all for him, and only him. As beautiful as her body was to him, her face was what he was the most enraptured by. He watched her, the entire time, as she reacted to him. Her eyes, her mouth, every aspect of it, as she experienced everything he gave her. And when she came, she was stunning, and he couldn't look away.

He was painfully hard, and he knew he had to do something about it at this point. As fun as the thought was, he didn't want to push her and have her walk in on him jacking himself off. She was already at her limits at this point, so when she came back in the room after what seemed like an eternity, he stood up. Her vivid eyes widened as he stalked closer to her, and he felt her tremble when he ran a hand down the side of her face.

"Stay here," he ordered her, before brushing past her to the bathroom. He didn't exaggerate when he told her, on numerous occasions, how much she tested his control. She was so damn tempting. As he slid his hand down his length in the shower, he pictured her, on her knees before him. Her lovely green eyes looking up at him with innocence as she took him in her mouth. His strokes grew faster as his fantasy took hold in his mind. Her soft pink lips wrapped around his cock, as she sucked. Her little tongue licking at him tentatively, as she tried to bob up and down on what she could fit in her mouth. Innocent, but so unknowingly seductive. As it played out in his mind, he finally exploded and found his release.

'What is this woman doing to me?' he thought, as he continued to lazily pump himself to get the last of his seed out.

It was hard to describe what exactly he felt for her. He knew he wanted her for more than just the obvious. He was protective of her, he wanted to understand her completely. He wanted to know her every thought. Was it an obsession? Perhaps, he didn't know what to call it. He just knew he wanted her more than he'd ever wanted anything. The thought of her leaving him, of not seeing her again, had a feeling of dread rise in him. A feeling he had thought he buried long ago. It wasn't something he cared for, and yet, he couldn't dismiss it. Abandonment, it was a concept he was overly familiar with. Anyone he remotely cared about died long ago - left him. The idea of that happening to him again wasn't something he could tolerate.

He knew his feelings were completely one-sided as well and it incensed him. He wanted her to see him this way. The dates he planned so far were to show her he could be considerate for her, that he wasn't only a monster. He even gave into her when she begged him to spare that traitorous Uchiha brat. A moment of weakness on his part. He shouldn't have bent to her will so easily, and yet he did, because he couldn't help himself when it came to her. She might scoff in disbelief when he said he had a 'soft spot' for her, but it was unfortunately true. He was acting out of character in order to try and appease her, to win her affections. She was a weakness for him, but not one he could let go of.

Life was cruel and it taught him to be crueler in order to get what he wanted, in order to come out on top. Most shinobi had to learn that lesson to some extent, even if it wasn't to the same degree he did. Was he resentful? No. He became much stronger because of everything he went through. Sakura called him unstable, and he supposed that assertion wasn't false. He knew he wasn't…normal. His bloodlust was beyond that of even members of ANBU. He could see how his need for control unsettled his comrades. Everyone was afraid of him, and it suited his purposes. He was never questioned on missions because of fear. The Hokage herself let him do what he wanted, outside of the village at least, because of fear. No one would get in his way because of fear. It was a very good motivator. It wasn't as if he didn't have the track record he had either. He never let a comrade die on a mission that he'd led, since he became an adult; he kept their village safe. They could call him deranged if they wanted, but he did his duty, even if he didn't play by the same rules.

When he came back out his eyes found her, dressed unfortunately, on the floor. It seemed she didn't want to tempt fate by sitting on the bed. He could feel her stare lingering on his body since he still hadn't put on a shirt. That was the only thing he could work with right now, her attraction to him. It was even more pronounced, now that she experienced first-hand how he could make her feel.

"I heard Naruto at the door before."

"Ah, yes. I told him we would be down in a half hour and head out."

"You did it on purpose," she reprimanded softly.

"Did what?" He prompted, even though he knew exactly what she was talking about.

"You know what. You wanted…. Naruto to know, didn't you?"

"He didn't need any help from me in that regard. I'm fairly certain he heard you last night," he pointed out in amusement. He watched her cheeks turn red.

"It doesn't mean anything."

"Doesn't it?"

"No. I couldn't help it, and it was my first time doing…anything like that."

"I told you I'd make your first experience memorable," he pointed out cockily.

He saw the fire in her eyes at his remark; that entertaining temper of hers was about to make an appearance.

"I didn't want you to, and you didn't care!"

"Wrong. You were asking for it when you challenged me. I also didn't hear complaints either."

"I didn't challenge you! You just took it that way, in your own twisted mind!"

"Is that right? I believe you said I was afraid Sasuke could give you more pleasure than I could. I was simply showing you that wasn't the case."

She muttered something under her breath.

"Speak up, Sakura."

"I said, how do I know that." Her eyes met his bravely. He knew she was purposely provoking him, but his anger still rose in response.

"Go on, finish that thought."

"Oh, I couldn't do that, your jealousy is very telling, Kakashi-sensei." Her tone was mocking.

"I don't need to get jealous, you're already mine."

"I'm not yours," she bit back.

"No? You told me as much last night."

"I didn't mean it." Her voice wasn't as confident.

"You shouldn't tell me things you don't mean. I take them seriously."

"You know why I said that."

"You said it because I gave you more pleasure than you could have dreamed of before, little girl. And you loved every minute of it."

He stalked forward and she scrambled up, trying to keep the distance between them futilely.

"That's why you kissed me back, that's why you screamed MY name, and that's why you begged me not to stop. Your body has acknowledged it belongs to me, as I told you would be the case."

His hand grabbed her chin as he forced her to look up at him. "I told you, you're mine. The sooner you accept it, the easier things will be." His mask was back on, so the fabric acted as a barrier between their lips when he pressed against hers briefly. And yet, her breath still hitched in response to it. He smirked in satisfaction before stepping back. However, he underestimated her obstinance because she spoke again, determined to get the last word.

"Oh, I'm not sure. I did just see Sasuke after all, and he was exceptionally handsome. He seemed to have more appreciation for me now, than he did as a child. I bet he would be tempted to… indulge me if I asked him. Maybe I should see for myself if you're right, if I won't surrender to another man just as I did for you. What do you think?"

She only said it because she was confident he wouldn't harm her. Yet he still saw red, and he gave her a nasty smile through his mask.

"Have you ever seen someone you care about beg for their life, Sakura?"

"No," she whispered. She knew he was aware of her answer.

"If you ever attempt what you just said you will." He yanked on her pink tresses, forcing her head up, and he saw her panic. He didn't always enjoy it coming from her, but in this instance, she needed a reminder of who she was dealing with.

"Do you understand me?"

"Yes."

"Good girl. Be mindful of who I am the next time you decide to run that bold mouth of yours."

He released her hair and left her with his ominous words.

When she met Naruto and Sai downstairs, Kakashi was nowhere to be found – which was a relief. She didn't know why she said that, why she kept saying things to intentionally anger him. It was stupid of her, and it was one of the downsides to her stubborn personality. She didn't know when to stop herself, even when dealing with someone like him. She wasn't even interested in Sasuke that way anymore. But she knew it would irk Kakashi to suggest otherwise, to hint at wanting Sasuke, so she said it. It wasn't in her nature to be so cowed by anyone. So, she portrayed this bravado with him, simply because she knew he wouldn't seriously harm her.

"Sakura, are you okay?" Naruto asked hesitantly.

"I'm fine Naruto." She forced herself to smile at him.

"Last night, um, well I know you were drinking, and then…" he trailed off.

"You were particularly loud when the captain pleasured you last night, ugly," Sai chimed in.

"Shut up Sai! What we mean is, did he force you or… was it something you said yes to?"

What could she even say to that? Yes, and no. Yes, he didn't exactly give her a choice in the matter. But no, she didn't exactly despise it, it actually felt wonderful, and she urged him on. It sounded absurd.

"It's complicated," was her short reply. She supposed that was an accurate enough word for it.

"Kakashi-sensei really wants you ugly. It would be understandable if you were amenable to that. He has a lot of desirable qualities women like, doesn't he?"

"You don't know anything about women Sai," she retorted harshly. He blinked at her aggressive tone, before smiling.

"I know enough to comment. From what I observed, women seem to want handsome, confident, strong men. I think height even factors in for reasons beyond my understanding." He looked at her expectantly.

"Look, not that it's any of your business, but I don't see him that way."

"Yet you screamed his name last night. Your voice can be really shrill, by the way." She knew he wasn't trying to be cruel; it was just how he was.

"I… I know that may seem confusing to you. I admit, Kakashi is attractive, like you said. And he is… experienced as well. That's why I may have had a lapse in judgment last night."

"Experienced in the art of love making?"

Her eye ticked at his bluntness before replying, "yeah, sure, whatever."

"The point is, I know what you may have heard. I can't really justify myself. Kakashi is persistent, to say the least, and he's beautiful. And the bastard knows it too."

"So, if he meets the qualifications for fornication what's the issue?" He looked perplexed.

"The issue is, sleeping with someone comes with vulnerability and feelings I would normally like to have for someone. And I could never have romantic feelings for Kakashi."

"Why is that?"

"Because Sai, you've seen what he's like. Not to mention, he's far too damaged to ever give me what I want either. He's obsessed with me; he doesn't care about me. He probably doesn't even know how to care for someone."

"Such assumptions about me, Sakura." She turned to where he was behind her. She glared at Naruto briefly for not warning her, but he was avoiding eye contact. She studied Kakashi's face, but it was impassive. Whatever he thought about what she said, she wasn't able to decipher it from his expression.

They were headed to the next village, and she could feel a sense of foreboding. Something was wrong. She could see the rigidness in Kakashi's body ahead of her. When he stopped, she knew her instincts were right.

"We're about to be ambushed," he said quietly.

Her eyes widened because she couldn't sense any other chakras at all, but he sounded completely certain.

"How, how many?"

"A thousand, maybe more."

"What?! But how is that possible?" How was he the only one able to sense that? Naruto and Sai didn't seem to be able to either.

Then she could see them, but she couldn't feel their chakras at all. How was it Kakashi was able to? Was it because of the Sharingan?

"Get ready," he ordered to them.

One of their opponents laughed. "You act as if you have a chance! You're vastly outnumbered; there's no way you're getting out of this alive."

Did they not know Kakashi's identity? It didn't seem so as they attacked, boldly, and from every direction. As she thought, even that number of shinobi couldn't get the upper hand over him. He cut through them all easily, while the rest of them battled a few stragglers. She had to admit, it was nice to engage in combat again. The feeling was exhilarating, as she punched her opponent so harshly, they flew through a few trees. When more surrounded her, after witnessing her strength, she smiled. She wasn't fighting someone like Kakashi or Itachi this time. They were decently strong ninja, but she was far superior to even a handful of them. As more pressed closer to her, Kakashi's back was suddenly in front of her.

"Don't take any unnecessary risks."

What the hell did that even mean? She was fine, didn't he see she was fine? Why would he interfere?

She stared at him venomously as he took down the rest of their opponents. He didn't have time to savor the kills, as he seemed to like, because more just kept coming. There had to be more than a thousand at this point. It was like there was a whole platoon of shinobi after them. She saw a bunch come at him from behind and she jumped into action, smashing the ground, and sending them flying. She didn't notice the one behind her in time, until she felt the sting of a kunai slash against her side. She quickly turned around and sent a chakra-infused hit to the head, killing them instantly. She saw Kakashi give her a livid look, but she ignored him. What did he expect her to do, remain on the sidelines?

It was like they were never ending. There had to have been thousands by now and she was still taking down the shinobi that managed to get close to her. She also noticed, she was slowing down a bit, and she realized the kunai she was struck with must have been poisoned. She jumped back to heal herself, but they wouldn't give her the reprieve she needed. She sent an earth-style jutsu toward the 40 that charged her and was finally able to neutralize the poison coursing through her.

She turned back to watch as Kakashi's entire body seemed to light up with purple lightning. It was a bit awe-inspiring, well even more so than he usually was. It was more potent than his normal Chidori, as he was able to strike all the shinobi left in an omni-directional attack, killing them all instantaneously. Why didn't he use that before?

And suddenly, he appeared in front of her, and he looked far from pleased.

"My orders aren't suggestions, Sakura."

"I don't recall you giving me an order, captain."

"I told you not to take unnecessary risks," he snarled.

"And I didn't."

"Then how did you get struck by one of those vermin?"

She hesitated, because the reason she did get hit was because she was trying to help him. "Well, I, I was trying to cover your back."

"I'm not a shinobi who needs to be covered and you know that. By doing so, you left yourself open to attack due to your lack of experience."

"Well, what were you doing then? You could have finished them all off faster than that, but you didn't?"

"Are you purposely being obtuse, Sakura? How was I supposed to do that when you were in the vicinity of me?"

Oh… she supposed that did make sense.

"There's a good reason for why I give the commands I do. If I weren't the one who was your captain, this would have gone a lot differently."

"You don't know that!"

"I do. You're arrogant and you were blinded by your need to prove yourself."

"Arrogant? You're the pinnacle of arrogance, you asshole!"

"The difference between you and me is I have the power to back it up, and you don't," he admonished coldly.

She stormed away from him into the woods. She couldn't stand him; who did he think he was? To scold her like that, as if she was somehow responsible for the failure of the mission, when nothing of the sort happened. It was humiliating, and she knew both Naruto and Sai overheard it. She heard him following her and her hands shook in anger.

"Leave me alone."

"I didn't say you could leave."

"I don't care."

"Do you really want to do this?" His voice held a warning tone.

She was sailing at him, determined to pummel his smug, perfect face. He caught her fist easily and she had a kick sailing toward him as well. All her hits were blocked effortlessly as he made no move to go on the offensive. He looked at her in annoyed boredom, as if he was simply waiting for her to get it out of her system. His detachment just antagonized her more, so her hits kept coming.

"Are you done with your tantrum yet?"

"No, I'm done with you dictating everything I do just because you can. What the fuck is your problem?"

"Do you really not know what my problem is?" He asked quietly.

"Don't even try to say it's because you were concerned over my safety. I'm a shinobi, I'm The Hokage's apprentice, not some helpless little girl you need to protect all the time. Besides, the only reason you care is because you're obsessed with the idea of fucking me!" She knew that wasn't completely true, but she wanted him to react.

"If that's all I cared about, I would have fucked you into the ground by now!" He spat.

"Then what do you care about?"

"Apparently you're just going to assume it for me, so what's the need to give an explanation, Sakura?" He pulled her to him before pulling his mask down to capture her mouth in a punishing kiss. His need to dominate her was tangible, as his lips attacked her own insistently. She tried to bite his lip in retaliation, and he growled in response. She felt his hand drift down her back to grab a handful of her ass.

"You're done for now," she heard him say, when he pulled away from her lips. His hand still held her ass possessively.

"Done?" She asked, a bit dazed by his unexpected, aggressive kiss.

"We're going back to the village."

"Huh?" She wasn't understanding what he was getting at.

"You're done on these missions now."

"What?! No, you can't do that!" She pushed against his chest, but he held fast.

"You'll find I can do that."

"I won't accept this!" She was trying to get distance, but he wasn't allowing it. She could tell by his words he was serious, and she started spiraling. She was disoriented, her heart beating rapidly, as she felt a panic attack coming on.

"Funnily enough, I don't need you to." His hand clutched her jaw and jerked her face up to meet his eyes. The last thing she saw was the blood red color of his Sharingan, before her world went black.

Please leave reviews, I love to hear what everyone thinks! I also want to address something. I've said multiple times that this isn't a healthy relationship. Kakashi is toxic, and dark, and what happened in the last chapter was definitely dubious consent. The last chapter was to illustrate Sakura's temptation, because she IS attracted to Kakashi. She bended in the heat of the moment, but that's all it was. Stay tuned for the next chapter! :)
