I ditched the now stolen pajamas of that women unsure if I should throw them out, then again that would be rude even if she will never get it back. I dropped them on the floor and walked naked into my bathroom to get clean after about a week away.
Damn seeing Kakashi and Guy in a real fight was a great show, there was something wrong at one point, he was asked to do Chidori but did not want to do that and I was watching him like a hawk the rest of the time.
Can't read him at all.
I did get to see that he even had a sharingan, I was blown away at first but now I just wonder what the Uchiha think about that. I bet they hate that if they know. What I understand now is that scar on his eye was because he has someone else eye and the story of his old teammate makes me wonder what happened.
I feel like we are not enough of friends to ask such a personal thing.
Kureani said something big happened none of us know about. Something else. Something that broke him deep inside.
I slowly took off my bandage, a small amount of dried blood on the inside but she healed me well but I can see why she wants to train from a leaf med as they do a much better job. I might have another annoying scar.
I had the best shower, I laid down in it just to relax as the warm water cascaded around me.
Pressing my feet to the wall as I wiggled my toes feeling so clean again, I heard a small noise and a feeling I may not be alone passed through me but I did not want to get out.
Worried I sighed and reluctantly got up grabbing the large towel.
Peeking out the door I noticed my bedroom door was closed when I left it open. As I stepped out worried I grabbed an old black dress and slid it over my head. Picking up a kunai I whipped open my bedroom door fast ready to fight.
I just made Itsuki jump as I stood startled.
He had been looking in my fridge with a small stick of cheese in his mouth. He took it out and gave me the biggest cutest smile making me melt. I chuckled and placed my kunai on the table spinning back into my room to get some shorts as I am naked down there.
"What are you doing?" I laughed hiding behind the door and sliding some on.
"Sorry." He laughed. "I saw you were having a shower but I heard you were back." I stepped out towards him wanting to pull him into a hug but I just nodded.
He came close his light touch moved my hair behind my ear and my heart fluttered at his small smile. "You look good with it down." I blushed looking at my feet.
"How was the mission?" He asked stepping back biting into the cheese stick again.
"Oh well, I just need to work on my taijutsu, it is not good." I said sadly.
He gave me this side smile. "Let's work on it then." He headed to my door, paused and nodded at me to follow.
"One second." I moved to grab my weapons pouch and scroll and slid on my boots excited to spend time fighting with him.
"It is best when attacking low." He jumped back. "That you are in the right position to kick high next." He ran at me sliding under my feet, but I noticed the position and took it in as he moved to kick my head.
"Okay so." I said as he jumped back and I did what he just did.
"Ya you got it." He then took a stance. "Your shoulders should be like this."
That confused me as Guy had a different approach. Now Uchiha are massively skilled so I will follow his moves but Guy is badass at Tai and I think I would rather listen to him where to put my shoulders.
He kicked me in the rib sending a shock through me and I grimaced as I slid onto my back holding my side.
He stepped back scared.
"Sorry, I am healed but not quite." He nodded worried and confused. "Got stabbed." He was staring at me and I watched his face get darker and darker unsure what was going on his head. "It is fine, well it was not fine but I am okay, don't worry." I stood up. "Let's keep going."
His eye's went from the ground and locked on mine making me warm he then walked towards me fast. I was lost when his head gripped the back of my head and his warm lips landed on mine with pressure.
My whole body lit on fire as I stood there startled for a moment before I closed my eye's and pressed mine into his.
My first kiss. My first kiss with Itsuki Uchiha.
I fluttered in my heart as excitement filled me, he pressed harder before he let me go and stepped back, I watched him blush as he rubbed the back of his head looking at the ground.
I did not know what to say as I bit my lip and scanned his soft pretty face. His mouth was so cute and I could not help it, I reached out lifting his chin before I carefully pressed my lips into him. His arms moved fast pulling me to him while also holding me slightly away.
I tried to moving like in the movies, where you barely part your lips and ran my hand in his hair. I could feel him tense before his lips moved back with me. Unsure how long this lasted lost in him when we both stopped.
Both our heads were facing the ground inches from each other I just smiled.
"That was awesome." I said quietly.
"Ya." He gave a chuckle. "Been wanting to do that for a long time." I bit my lip again in silence but he backed up.
"So." He spoke like that never happened. "You want a combo of moves to really hurt someone and to get them in position you want." I barely listened as I tried to take it in but I could not stop thinking about his warm lips.
I had a new love for romance novels, not only did I understand now I was wanting as much information as I could get on kissing and relationships. I was raiding the book store like a crazy person.
I wanted to kiss him again, not sure how to do that, when to do that and what to do.
I also needed to know, are we dating? What is dating like? What do you do?
I have no one to talk to about this, absolutely no one. Unsure how to even bring it up with anyone, no one ever talks about it.
I had this giant pile as the way I learn was with books and scrolls. I was bent over looking around. I am always reading anyway might as well read this genre.
I heard a small noise making me stand up and look behind me. Kakashi was standing there looking at some of my stack of books, peering at them coldly as he shifted them around like it was an isle.
"Shut up." I mumbled bent back over almost blushing making me wonder if he knows what I am doing.
"This sucks." He pulled out and tossed it as I squeaked. "This is good." He placed it on the top. "Oh, this one." He looked at me. "Is not for you." I snatched that one out of the air as he tossed it away a little mad and placed it on the top calling him out with my eye's.
"I warned you." He spoke coldly but there was this humorous tone to his voice.
He walked passed me and squatted before handing me a book. "This is good and it is a little more, graphic." It was some purple book. "Not that bad just a bit more. A reason your buying so much today?" He was teasing me.
"I am just into romance now." I put it on the shelf next to me feeling like if I take it he will know. "Just you know for missions." I looked away.
"Okay." He spoke coldly.
I felt ashamed as I grabbed what was left of my pile about to leave when my eye's landed on the purple book. He just coldly stared at me holding his own book as I looked back and we stood there like that for an awkward second just staring at each other.
I looked away my face must be bright red.
I grabbed the purple book and took the rest to the till quickly.
I heard a small chuckle, peering back angry out of embarrassment but he was faced away.
"Kissed him huh?" I froze and ran off quicker not looking back.
I created two wind clones next to me with my grandpa behind me at the Clans training grounds. All three of us moved the same as we made a small wind dagger, they moved naturally attacking the punching bag before vanishing cutting into it as some filling came out before vanishing while I just stood there with it in my hand interested.
"Now try them with the wind."
I brought them up, just two.
We started to cover ourselves with wind and it lasted a second before they vanished and it was just me. I dropped it feeling so weak, the first was fine the second was draining. "Shit." I mumbled.
"Not strong enough yet, but they can do any wind jutsu you can, they just vanish after."
"Thanks." I fell onto my ass and laid there. "So much."
"Maybe next time, get your clones to only put it on one part at a time." I looked at him as I did not move from the grass. "Perhaps one part, around your leg to kick or something like that." I looked at him as he had an idea I never did. Covering just an arm with that would be pretty useful.
"I do like that Jutsu you created." He lightly spoke.
"I did not create it." I did not move as he looked at me. "I half stole it."
"Really?"
"Well, he just did it so many times I got the hands mostly down the rest I figured out on my own."
"Smart girl." He glinted at me. "You are not following the path of your elders are you, you have not brought up the force?" I frowned. "That is okay, you find your path." That made me smile at him kindly. "Your mom was the same." He shook his head. "I need to sit down, see you later darling." And he walked off as I watched him.
Do I take after my mother?
That makes me happy.
We sat on the couch just making out my legs over his sitting next to each other, it was so fun we could not stop. I love kissing now, it was just the best.
There was a knock at my door. "Maybe they will go away." I spoke and we smiled and we kissed some more. The door nob turned making me jump into my feet far from him as Reili walked in.
"Mission." He sung to himself and paused looking between us, he looked confused. "Were you just talking about me." He pointed and asked. "You look like I just interrupted."
"Ya, we were talking about, your hair." I said grabbing his hand and pulling Reili out. I waved to Itsuki and left.
"I thought it looked good, does it not?"
"Maybe get like tiniest cut it is getting long." I spoke keeping up this lie.
"I could say the same to you."
I paused and pulled on my ponytail looking at him sadly. "What is wrong with my hair?" I spoke worried it looked bad or something, my heart sinking.
He rolled his eye's. "So we are transporting some rich jewelry man to his home in guess what, the richest village." He walked off ahead of me.
"You sure my hair is okay?"
"Shut up." He laughed at me and ran off, I sighed and followed him away.
"This is my team?" The tall blonde haired man looked us over, piercing's, necklace, giant rings of various colors. I was waiting for the. 'Oh they are to young, too weak' we get from most rich men. "Awesome, you two look like fun ones." He turned towards his large boxed in caravan. "We got some walking to do."
He was actually going to walk with us?
Most rich men with somewhere to sit never walk.
His energy was slightly addicting.
I smiled at Reili. "I kind of like him." And moved forward.
It was us three and two normal people but they guarded him, walking out front looking tough, one with a giant sword the other with a long staff.
He walked between us. "I would buy more ninja's to guard me most day's but they go home after about a week, I however need them now. Bandits are everywhere these days and I got so much gold and gems and the finest jewelry in this thing." He smacked the wood.
"Why so much?" I asked, the damn thing was huge.
"Oh there was this festival and people asked me to come, so I came. I not only sold many items I got some new gold and gems to make more." He was so friendly. "Oh call me Dai, and you are?" He smiled at me rubbing my head.
Damn.
"She is pretty easy to get along with just don't mess with her hair." Reili joked to this man.
"My bad it just looked so soft." That made me smile as I fixed it.
"I will let you live." I joked.
It will be a slow three to four days of walking to get this man to his home. Passing through the most congested area's and around his town tends to be filled with bandits. They can be ninja's but ninja's get easier ways to make money so most are weak ninja's or just people.
I would rather not hurt them badly but I will keep them away no matter what.
"Don't you guys come in three's, sometimes fours?" He looked between us. "I bet you are so good you don't need them."
"Well." Reili ran his hand through his hair. "We are good." He smiled looking cocky. "But we just lost a teammate to another area and just have not got a new one."
"As this is a C rank, we should be fine." I smiled.
Both of us did not say we are still short on ninja's from the nine tails a few months ago and just to keep up with the missions people go where they are needed the most.
"I just want to pierce your ears, all over." He pulled on mine shocking me. "Oh cute gems and like four piercing's would work, you have such cute ears." I just gave a fake smile and he let go but that sounded kind of nice.
Looking at his ears filled with many I kind of really wanted that.
Night was annoying, we did have to set him up the most luxurious ground bed. Pillows galore. Looked better then my bed at home.
I sat on a branch above them watching for the night as I spun a kunai in my hand. The forest is so nice at night, chirp of bugs, some random noise from an animals, darkness all around me.
I was between peaceful and then home sick as I thought about Itsuki. I wont see him for at least five days at a good pace. I dug in my scroll and pulled out one of the two books I randomly grabbed for a distraction.
It was the one Kakashi said that it was not for me.
I scoffed.
"Ya let's see how wrong you were." I opened it.
I was getting better at reading while seeing the world around me, he was right it changes your life.
I was a little disturbed on the first couple chapters. There was something off about it I could not place, it was, creepy?
I read on telling myself he was not right but the man was just the worst, creepy and controlling and the poor meek women who did not even seem to like him in my mind was stuck with him.
I sighed.
"Fuck you Kakashi." I said to myself and traded to the other random book about some thief and bounty hunter.
I was biting my thumb nail as I was pulled into this awesome story but I heard a noise. I did not look up, I did not change the stupid smile on my face I just listened and looked around as much as I could without moving.
There you are.
I moved fast tossing four kunai from my left hand over the caravan. They lightly glowed from my boost landing at the feet of three men in the treeline. They stepped back as I jumped on top of the caravan tossing the book at Reili as I passed over.
They stepped forward a little cocky looking me over.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"Whatever you got sweet tits."
"I don't want to read." I heard Reili speak making them step back, he was peeking around the caravan a second later. "Oh, what do we have here?"
"Some blind guy." I looked down on him. "Can't see I am a pretty flat girl." I crossed my arms. I am used to killing as fast as I can, I don't want to hurt these men, so long as they are just thieves and not killers. So I will find out what one they are.
"You know she is only fourteen." He tsked. "What are you like thirty?"
This just pissed him off, he ran at Reili pulling a sword. Reili was faster his sword blocking his. I jumped down slamming my palm into the other two, ruptured there nervous system making one trip on his own foot the other one fall on his ass.
Reili was faster then the guy and had him sprawled on the ground his sword about to kill him. "Stop." I spoke.
All four of them looked at me pausing.
Reili just moved to sitting on his back, his arm pushed into his back as he held it in place, Shoving the tip of the sword into the dirt next to his head looking at me curious.
"Tell me." I leaned over the main man as the last one got on his feet. My face inches from him. "What do you want to do with me?" He looked me over angry as he tried to move.
"I just want your stuff." He still tried to break free.
I reached my mind into Reili.
"They are just people making money, I don't think they want to kill anyone." He looked at me.
"You want to, Let them go?"
"Maybe." I looked at him as he looked back at me coldly.
He then looked them over the other two were terrified, they did not know what to do.
"Alright." He said back to me out loud.
He stood up letting him go as he got on his feet slowly confused. "You want to fight, we will fight, you want to go, you can go, you try again later." Reili held the sword out horizontally over his face as he stared dark at the main man. "You wont make it out alive." He was more creepy and intimidating then I can ever be.
Kind of sad about that.
They ran off down the road as we came to the other side of the caravan, the three standing there with his guards in front of him.
He started to clap walking forward. "That was entertaining." He patted Reili on his shoulder and held it. "You two are funny, I knew it." He looked at him and then at me. "I would love to have you in a long term sense." He stared at me. "If you ever think about it let me know." He turned and curled back into his blankets.
"Goodnight again." He mumbled into his blanket as his guards followed.
I took my spot as Reili sat across from me and we waited together just in case.
The boss man had a flute out playing it as I danced around him. I started to sing even if I am not the best. Reili came close wrapping his arm around me and singing with me as we walked.
The one guard joined in.
We just all sang as the last man just held his forehead and walked forward but all it did was make us happier making fun of him.
It only lasted a short few minutes before we chuckled and got back to our posts.
"You know, you need a nice necklace under that, wrap symbol thing." He looked at me. I pulled on it confused. "Ah I just want to dress you up like a little doll."
"Expensive things may not be the best for a ninja, there is chance of dropping it or getting blood on it, things like that." I looked at him sadly.
"You want some don't you." He winked at me and I just smiled looking at the ground.
Come the third day we were getting much closer when we were attacked again. I did not spot the same men but there was many groups that trolled this section so close to the town that held the more rich of the land of fire.
Fuck bandits are easy, I was almost sad there was no real fight on this mission. We tied all six of them up with ease, one was even a ninja. "I just want a real fight." Reili yelled as I agreed with a noise.
We walked passing a large group of farm land and Reili ran forward just looking around screaming about finally getting some breeze and ya it was a hot day.
"So you got a guy?" He leaned in. "A pretty girl like you?"
"I do." I spoke so quietly looking at Reili way up ahead. "But don't tell him." I nodded at him.
"Jealous type?" He asked eyeing him over.
"Secret affair."
He laughed deeply.
"Well I am not sure if he is mine it is very new." I looked at the ground blushing. "I miss him."
"When it comes to men, greasy food is the way to the heart and if its not, it will kill them faster with cholesterol." I gave a short laugh.
We strolled as the wind now hit me and man it felt wonderful.
"Men are simple my dear, food, sleep." He held up a third finger but not speak. "Food, get him his favorite food." He smiled not finishing the third one and then he almost patted my head before he patted my shoulder.
"Your learning." I spoke to him making him laugh again.
We dropped him off at the huge mansion he lived in. Even just the front yard was so big you had to walk a minute to get to it.
He thanked us before he walked over and put something in my hand closing my hand in his. "I adore you hun, for your troubles and." He leaned in. "Men are simple. I think this will look great on you." He stepped back. "Don't try and give it back." He dropped a small ring in Reili's hand. "You are funny, I like you."
We said goodbye and walked off without really looking at what he gave us just yet.
I looked in my fist, it was this small necklace, more like a choker. It was rose gold with a small pink flower in the middle covered in what looked like Diamonds. I almost stopped moving. "Is this real?" I asked him as he was peaking at his blue stoned man ring.
"Not sure if it is my style, but nice." He looked at my necklace. "Oh, expensive." He smiled at me kindly. "Hold up." We stopped moving and he clipped it around my neck. "It may be safe under this." He spoke as I held my hair away. When it was on I touched it.
"Well it is tight, maybe it wont fall off." I spoke happy to have something so nice for once.
"I wonder how much this ring sells for." He looked at it through the sunlight and we headed home. "Man this was a boring mission."
"I liked that guy." I smiled at him and he shrugged.
I left the Hokage tower to report and headed around the village. I ran everywhere when I spotted Itsuki walking with a drink in his hand as he sipped it. I looked around but he was alone in the area.
I jumped down grabbed his hand startling him and pulling him into an alleyway.
He dropped his drink as I pushed him into the back behind garbage cans and I planted my lips on his for a moment before I stopped. His hand gripping between the wooden fence he was almost pushed against.
"Well, Hello." He smiled at me. I gripped his shirt and smiled kissing him again pulling him to me.
"When is your break?" I asked as he was staring at my lips a little out of it.
"Um... ." He looked up at me like I snapped him out and up at the sky. "Two? Hours. Why?"
"We should go eat at your favorite restaurant."
"Like a date?" He asked excited a crooked smile covering his face.
"A date, sure." I smiled at him. "Well I have to go, not been home in ages, my poor plants." I stepped back. "See you in two hours." I smiled at him before I ran out.
My heart beat up again as he left me another note while I was gone sitting in my mailbox. I smiled at it and peered behind me as that slightly bigger women from across the road was staring at me at she sat in the chair she always sits in feeling watched again.
It was a sweet long note that I put in the drawer with the other. Missing me, wishing he was with me. How I was taking to long.
At least two hours gave me time to shower and get dressed up, I held my hair up and dropped it down, put it up and dropped it down. What if I leave it down for once? It is a date after all, not a battle.
Taking off my symbol made my new necklace stand out, so pretty as I fixed it around my neck joy filling my heart feeling girly and excited as I put on some new black shoes with a bit of heal. Pulling up my weapon pouch to hide it more under my dress as I can not leave without it.
I was waiting near the place we were to meet, no one looked my way as I stood there awkwardly. I held my hands together nervously.
"Wow you look great." I peeked over at at the brown haired teen as he looked me over, the stick in his mouth moving as he chewed on it. He slid his hands in his pockets. "I need to find Guy." I know he was Guy's teammate, he has been around but we barely knew each other even if we know each other by name.
"Thanks." I smiled excited and flattered. "Not seen him."
"You going on a date or something?" He stepped forward looking me over, I shook my head 'no' worried in a lie. "You suck at lying, but ya if he talks about all the kind things he's done, run." His stick moved with his cheeky smile when the green beast went running above us and he moved fast after him. "Get over here bowl cut."
"Thank's Genma." I spoke softly I gave a small smile but it grew large when he was walking towards me and all I could do was stare.
Itsuki almost looked cleaned up, but he wore his normal outfit, not like mine is any different and he took me to his favorite place where I found out it was the BBQ joint you grill your own meat.
I think we were both nervous at first but it slowly got back to normal as we chatted with ease, laughed a little. I had forgotten that we have known each other for years. After we wound up traveling to a small pond passed the training grounds and just laid on the grass watching the clouds.
"Oh, a dog." I pointed.
"Really, I thought it looked like a house." He spoke unsure.
"How, how do you see a house out of that?" I looked at him and scanned his face as he looked to the sky mesmerizing me for a second.
He pointed. "The roof."
"The snout." I spoke back again looking at the clouds.
"The door." He chuckled.
"The leg." I pointed at the same place as he was.
"Ah ya I see it now." He said laughing.
"Same, actually, it's tail is the fireplace."
"Exactly." He looked at me as our heads laid on the grass it was sweet and fun as we smiled at each other.
I sat at my favorite desert and drink place with the outside chairs staring at nothing lost in my head.
"You look happy." I heard as I looked away my smile dropping.
"Hey Kure, ya." I spun the straw in my drink. "So happy." I looked down at my drink while she slid across from me.
"So, you ever think of a genjutsu you want?"
"Not thinking about much these day's honestly." I frowned, Itsuki was all that was on my mind.
She looked confused.
Guy was suddenly at our table so damn fast a gust of wind blew my bangs around as I blinked. "Kei."
"Yes." I looked shocked.
"Come, you need to work out with me again, we need to make you stronger." He grabbed my hand and pulled me away as I looked back at Kure. "Your getting better but we need more time."
"Bye" She laughed and waved.
"Well I guess it wont hurt to learn today."
I was wrong, it hurt like a broken limb.
Today he kicked the shit out of me saying the more I get attacked the better I will be while correcting my stances. Pulling a different style from different people can get real confusing so I have been having Guy teach me.
I could not tell Itsuki that.
I am getting larger and the hiding behind others wont be working soon. I needed to work on my worst skills.
He is a great teacher, rough and pushes you past your limits but he was so good at making you feel you can do anything. I know he will be a teacher one day he has a knack for it. He will be a great one.
After I walked around the weapon store looking for the kind of gloves that had a metal plate for protection and harder punches. Grabbing a couple pairs in black off the rack I peeked at the weapons, picking up some spikes when I had a thought.
"Excuse me Aoi." I looked to the older women that now owns the weapon shop, she has been retired for a long while. "Is there a way I can get a small spike on this metal over the fist?" I dropped the spikes and gloves on the counter.
She paused from sharpening and stood up. "Ya." Her voice was husky due to many years of smoking. "I think I can do that." She smiled at me and looked me over. "This size?" She picked up a spike. "It may be too big and get in the way with pockets or anything you try and grab."
"Then just a small sharp bump."
"Ya, I like that idea, even the smallest can hurt." She pulled my gloves looking me over. "Come back in a few days." I nodded excited.
I moved around my home naked cleaning in the early morning, the door was locked. Music from the tv was on and I was never this happy in all my life. I sang dancing to the song. He comes over a lot later in the day and I wanted to keep this place clean for him.
I have been avoiding missions as much as I could, I can't stop if I am called but if I don't ask I don't get as many and I got to spend so much more time with him.
I made his favorite meal as this was one month from the first date.
I got as cute as I could, set up the table and waited.
When six passed and he was not here I got worried. Come seven I got up and opened my door, it was lightly raining. Maybe his family has him doing a second shift.
Come eight I decided to go find him.
He might not know what today is because this day was just in my head as meaningful and I wanted to surprise him.
The moon was missing from the sky making it a dark night as the rain lightly hit the ground, I passed by the police station but he was not there. Looking a few other places he was nowhere to be found.
I walked along the river towards the Uchiha district.
There he was, sitting on the dock staring at the water a headband in his hands.
I moved slowly and sat next to him. He looked at me so sad I wrapped my arm around him and pulled him to me and we just sat there.
I know that was not his, so someone just died.
"My cousin." He finally spoke. I just rubbed my hand in his hair and sat with him. "What also sucks is that means we go up a little in clan politics as he was the end of his family and my father almost seems excited. Focusing on me more today saying I am seen and need to act right and noble."
I know Yamanaka is not as strict as them, not even close but I am glad I don't have to deal with a father like that.
The rain got heavier as he stood up and I stood up with him.
"I can't be out forever right now, I am sorry." We walked up the hill onto the road.
"It is fine, a death means you should be with your family."
I grabbed him in a deep hug as we stood there like that, he clung to me so hard pulling me tight feeling so much love for him. "I will miss him." He spoke to me. I nodded into his chest as his head landed on my head.
I looked up as he looked down and he kissed me.
It was sweet and sad.
"Itsuki." We heard a cold familiar voice as we looked over. His mom stood there looking pissed and I let him go worried. She looked at me so cold it made my heart hurt.
His sister came running up to him calling his name as he picked her up and held her at his hip.
"Let's go home." She spoke, the tone in her voice not leaving and he nodded at her. She turned away and he looked at me but I stood there scared. His eye's filled with it as well before they were down the road.
I was numb as the warm rain covered me, they were out of sight pretty fast but I reached up and scrunched my dress in front of my heart looking at the muddy ground.
She was like a second mother, she helped me, fed me, cared for me.
But that look on her face.
It was like I was trash and unworthy.
I could almost cry I just started to walk sad staring at my feet.
Was Kakashi right again, am I not good enough to date a Uchiha or is mixing clans so frowned upon that being of a known clan is a worry?
I could not stop as I walked through the roads of apartment's and slid down sitting in the small random patch of grass as I finally cried quietly being alone on the empty stormy streets.
The look on her face, what if he dumps me?
I wrapped my arm around my face pulling my knees up.
Maybe we can hide it from her.
I don't think it is over but it is between his mom and me, she was such a good mom to me.
I am still worried, he listens to his parent's.
But he loves me, I know he does.
I could not stop all these questions and fear.
"Honestly, crying is best behind closed doors." Another cold voice spoke making me want to curl into myself but I stood up, wiped my tears and got up walking passed Kakashi like he did not exist.
Not like he cares.
He would be happy to just be left alone anyway.
He grabbed my shoulder confusing me as I looked back at him, hoping my tears blended into the rain on my face. He just stared, no emotion but he did not let go. "I made food." I said and just walked off leaving him behind when I stopped.
This cold sad man was reaching out.
Kakashi?
Why?
"Do you want to join me?" I looked back at him a little skeptical. "I made for two people." I continued while turning away, if he comes he comes.
I jumped onto a roof and started to run my feelings away.
I was shocked when he followed me inside, I sat at my seat and started to cut up my meal. "Sorry, it is cold." I said I spoke feeling just as cold inside.
"Looks, fancy." He spoke, he cut a piece of meat and sniffed it making me almost feel better as it was odd but he barely spoke.
I almost cried again but I just downed my green beans and stared at my plate. I don't want to bother him, I guess it is nice he is even here with me. I could not ask why.
"It's good." I looked up at his plate and most of each section was eaten. I looked at his masked face shocked.
"How on earth did you eat that so fast?"
"Been wearing it since I was a kid, you learn." His tone light.
"Well glad you like it."
We sat there quietly almost a little awkward.
"You were right." I spoke. I meant about them not thinking I was good enough for their son but I switched it as I did not want to talk about it. "That book was horrible."
"Took you long enough to read it." He spoke. I was about to say I read it ages ago but have not spoke to him much when fly buzzed in my face and I lightly smacked it away. It bashed into my face again and fell into the small cleavage I barely had.
I could not find it as I looked down my dress wanting to set it free.
"I watched it leave, but keep digging" He spoke calmly.
I looked up startled and that made me smile. "Ya makes sense, getting lost in an empty field is a hard thing to do." That made him chuckle as we both sat there in some weirdly sad but light air.
There was a knock on my door. I jumped up excited whipping it open with a large smile as Kakashi stayed slouched in his seat. There was the old women from across the road. My heart sank expecting Itsuki and getting my least favorite clan member.
"Excuse me." She spoke looking him over and then over the obvious weak attempt for romance spread over my table. "I know you have another boy here." She was so rude to me with this annoying tone to her voice. "But I need some flour, seems no one has some tonight and the stores are closed, do you?"
Why the fuck would I give you anything, I wanted to say.
This women says all these short hidden digs mostly due to the opposite gender all my damn life then there was the part of me that does not like to fight and this is my family and neighbor and to create more drama for her to feed on, I just did not care about her enough. Still I stood unable to say a word.
I was about to get some for her when Kakashi slid his arm around my neck startling me. I looked, his face inches from mine.
"Sorry but I just used it all." He spoke to her coldly. "You know what us teens can get up to." He joked but that made her almost glare at me like I was nasty. "I am sure you know what all flour can do." She looked him over confused as her eye's scanned his covered face.
"Well, looks like there is more then just one boy including the pink one and the dark haired one." She said to him like she was shocking him and calling me out.
"Such a pretty girl can have many." He looked her over coldly making me hold back a smile as I watched her get so uncomfortable. I did not know what to do but I kept a straight face. "Well, excuse us." And he slammed the door in her face letting me go.
I watched him with a silly smile as I leaned on my closed door crossing my arms. I looked at his back as he picked up his plate feeling so young to not know what that meant but happy at what he just did for me.
Why deny it when I can make her uncomfortable.
Looking him over. "Awkward question, What can flour do?"
"I have no idea, confused her right." He spoke calm with a slight humorous tone in his voice and he placed his plate in the sink like he was about to wash it but I just started to chuckle, the more I thought about it the more I laughed as I stepped forward trying to make him stop cleaning my home.
She is going to wonder about that for her whole damn life and that is the best revenge ever.
He left not long after and once he was gone everything with Itsuki came back into my head.
I waddled into my bed and curled up with my pillow to numb to cry. I never had a friend like Kakashi before, how kind he was to help me for someone so cold all the time.
Thanks Kakashi.
You made my night better.
