Twilight peeked her eyes open, hearing the sound of hooves loudly clopping against her crystal floor. She checked her clock: 3:00 am. Uh, what is Starlight doing making all this—

Before Twilight could finish that thought, she was interrupted by somepony crashing in through her bedroom door. The dark form of the pony who entered breathed in a heavy raspy breath before speaking; the voice Twilight knew, "Twilight! I need your help! Twilight!" the voice pleaded, before the pony it belonged to collapsed onto the floor.

"Luna?" Twilight questioned confused, lighting her horn. Once she did, her eyes widened and she gasped. Luna looked awful, and nothing like her usual self. Her normal stature was reduced down to a height possibly even shorter than an average mare. This was accompanied by her dark coat and flowy mane being now replaced with the "skin" she had when she was first freed from Nightmare Moon; of course, it was hard to even see her mane and coat color considering she was almost completely covered in what appeared to be... oh that's blood! Her horn was almost completely missing—it looked like it was cracked off. And then there was her wings, or more accurately, lack there of. Granted, they weren't completely gone, there were still severed bloody nubs at her side where they used to be.

"LUNA?!" Twilight raced to the Alicorn's side in a panic, and using her horn, helped her up and levitated her onto her bed, so she was facing her. "WHAT HAPPENED?! ARE WE BEING ATTACKED?! IS EQUESTRIA IN TROUBLE?! WHAT HAPPENED TO CELESTIA!? IS SHE OKAY?! IS IT THE CHANGLINGS?! DIAMOND DOGS?! TA—"

Before Twilight could continue, Luna weakly placed a hoof over Twilight's mouth to shut her up. Luna wore her own panicked expression, but due to exhaustion, and now, her decrease in adrenaline, her demeanor, appeared at least, to be much calmer. "Twilight, the situation is dire and I need you to listen and listen good, no questions, no interruptions, no nothing, understand?"

"Mmhm," was all Twilight managed to squeak out.

"Flurry Heart and Cadence's lives are in danger and you need to teleport to the Crystal Empire and warn Cadence and Shining that my sister is out to get them," Luna, not missing a beat, stated heavily suspiring before losing herself in a fit of coughing.

"Woah, backup! What do you mean Celestia is out to get Cadence and Flurry?!" Twilight asked in disoriented befuddlement, "she would never d—"

"You don't know her like you think you do," Luna snapped.

"Bu—"

Luna's eyes noticeably became moister, "Look, I'll explain everything once you get back, but right now I just need you to trust me and go, "Luna took a pause to steady her throbbing head, "go warn Cadence. I've already wasted enough time."

"Luna, I think you need to be checked out by a doctor," Twilight stated concerned, "you look awful... I mean, uh no offense?"

"There's no time for a," Luna moaned quietly to herself, and continued out of breath, "a doctor. Forget about me. Just go get Cadence."

"B—"

"Go," Luna, attempted, to yell which unfortunately only stole her breath and took a moment for her to recover, "bring her and Flurry back here and I'll explain everything to you all. If you have enough energy, retrieve the Elements of Harmony also."

"B—"

"G— Luna being to say before breaking into another coughing fit.

Twilight wanted to stay and get Luna to a hospital, but if her family really was in immediate danger, there wasn't much time to be wasted. She knew Celestia would never hurt anyone. Maybe Luna's just confused; she obviously got attacked by something. Maybe it was a changling disguised as Celestia? That would explain it.

Twilight finally decided on her course of action; she quickly teleported to Starlight's room and shook her awake.

"Twilight, what in Equestria are you—"

"No time!" Twilight interrupted, "Luna's a bleeding wreck in my room and apparently Cadence and Flurry are in danger and I need to go teleport over there to get them and bring them back here somewhere in that I have to retrieve the elements and find out what the hay is going on so you need to get Luna to the hospital ASAP! Got it?"

Starlight only blinked, "What?" she asked rubbing the tiredness out of her eyes.

"You need to take Luna to the hospital!" Twilight repeated.

"Why?" Starlight asked, still too not awake to fully register what was happening.

"You'll know as soon as you see her," Twilight speedily stated pulling her student out of bed. Following this she began to charge up her horn for the long distance she would need to teleport to.

"Where is she?" Starlight asked still with a hint of tiredness in her voice.

"My room!" Yelled Twilight, her horn glowing brighter.

"Okay," Starlight said tiredly, once again rubbing her eyes, "I—"

Before Starlight could finish, Twilight was gone in a huge flash of light, the action of her horn finally catching up to its command.

Starlight groaned. She teleported out of her room, reappearing in Twilight's. She rubbed her eyes some more which halted her view for a moment. Twilight's probably just being dramatic, Starlight thought to herself, she probably just has a black eye or something. I know how Twilight i—"

Starlight suddenly was snatched from her train of thought as soon as she finally saw Luna. She could honestly say Twilight wasn't being dramatic for once. Luna was truly in a "going-to-the-hospital" worthy state.

"Luna! What happened?!" Starlight ran up to Twilight's bed, climbing onto it next to the night princess.

"It's *coughs* a l*coughs* long story," Luna weakly replied, "did Twilight go war*coughs* warn Cadence?"

"Yeah, I I... uh think so," Starlight replied, her voice wavering, "anyways, I was instructed by Twilight to take you to the hospital."

"I uhm," Luna attempted to respond, though her thoughts were hazy and she felt lightheaded, "I I'm uh... umm. I I I..." Her vision became more blurry and breathing, course.

"Are you okay?" Starlight knew it was a hollow question. In fact, it wasn't even a question, but it was all she had at this point.

"Yyy Yy," Luna tried responding, though her vision only became black, and she distantly felt her head hit the bed.
