Clay was still seated when everyone else for the most part had left.
(You won. You got Sawyer. Lucas took my daughter from you and now payback is complete.) Victoria said.
(It didn't take much arm twisting. A big check. Giving him access to our friends who need legal help. You're lawyer was perfect. He did what needed to be done.) Ted Davis added in.
Clay had wanted this to work out in his favor so badly.
He hadn't cared what it took for that to happen.
Now that it had he wasn't filled with the sense of accomplishment and victory he expected.

(You are supposed to be asleep Parker. It's nap time.) Lucas said.
When he came through the entryway with Sawyer.
(I wanted to wait for Sawyer.) Parker replied.
(Come on P.) Sawyer said. Grabbing his brother 's hand. As they went up the stairs with their innocent laughter.
Lucas put the headphones and tablet on the end table in the living room.
(From the look on you're face I can tell things didn't go how you imagined.) Karen said.
(It was the worst outcome I could think of. How am I supposed to do this?)
(Clay got full custody.) Lucas revealed.
Karen felt her heart sink. As she wrapped her son into a hug.
Lucas hugged her back. Feeling heart sick and confused by it all.

Brooke couldn't leave the courthouse yet. She had remained parked and just trying to process what she heard.
The images replaying in her mind. The judge giving the verdict.
Lucas 's face. Little Sawyer. Unaware that anything had happened.
Lucas was putting on a tough face but she knew this had broken him.
Her parents coming to Clay 's defense. Clearly he was one of those judges that believed in keeping the bio family together. It's the only thing that made sense.
Brooke needed to get home. But before she did. She would stop by and see Lucas.
Brooke started her car. Then stopped it as she saw Clay and her parents
leaving the court house together.
That nagging feeling she tried to ignore got more intense.
She couldn't ignore it any longer.
And got out of her car. Locked it up and decided to confront them.
(The both of you are out of my life.)
(What exactly went on today?)
(Because none of this is right. Someone needs to start talking now.) Brooke proclaimed.
(If you would of just went along with the plan that was layed out and married Clay.)
(Things would be so different. You made you're choice and we made ours.) Victoria proclaimed.
As her and Ted left.
Brooke focused her gaze on Clay.
(Do you know what you're doing? Tearing apart a family. You're okay with that?)Brooke asked.
Clay rolled his eyes. Glaring at her. (When are going to stop cheerleading for this guy?)
(He chose to stay with Peyton for years. Claims he's in love with you.)
(When really he's stringing you along!)
(When are you going to realize he's using you. To warm his bed and be a mother.) Clay proclaimed.
(Go to hell!) Brooke exclaimed.
