Gate episode 6

Before I could react, I looked at Rory who looked like she was in ecstasy as she moaned how she couldn't stop it and make it stop. This confused me so I radioed to Lelei who told me Rory's body acts as the gateway to death, so she was in ecstasy as the souls left her. Without hesitation, however, Rory started to take off toward the eastern gate.

Sighing I looked at Fireteam Exodia and said, "you heard the lieutenant! Fire team Exodia redeploy to the eastern gate! Leave no enemy alive!"

With a grin on my face, I unfurled my majestic marble wings, unholstered my Dober cannon and started to laugh like a maniac as I flew up into the sky and zoomed across the city to war. With any lucky maybe one of these guys would kill me in combat and I'd get that warriors death I had wanted. Itami filled us in that an Air assault would be marked by white flares and I confirmed it keeping pace with Rory as I flew off to the battle.

Noticing the white flair, I snickered and soon joined the fight with Rory landing right next to her with my marble white wings fully unfurled.

Instantly I shouted, "Argus battle recognition mode now!"

Time halted suddenly to them I was moving at the speed of nano seconds but to me the enemy hadn't even moved. Battle recognition mode…an augment only given to inquisitors of the rank of High or Ebony, time slowed down to 3 billionths of a nano second giving me just enough time to take into account the full battlefield while also giving me data using the Zero system to predict the most likely enemy and ally movement pattern. Total number of enemies inside 95 normal soldiers and 9 giants as well as an asset marked as an unknown variable which upon further inspection was a magic user using wind magic. Since these guys were using old school weapons, I would have to take that into account and the fact the guy behind Rory was wielding a hug chain ball. The Zero system predicted Rory would easily beat this guy, but the two giants would beat her down with a 100% chance of her getting hurt.

Looking through my options I suggested dober cannon bringing the results of injury down to 0% by one of the giants, but the second giant would react by using its halberd to bitch slap me away resulting in me getting hurt. To counter this, I opted to roll out of the way holstering my Dober cannon in the process and unfurling my blade launchers to shoot the target in the chest. Target decease probability 95%.

The Zero system then predicted that the people would be caught off guard by this giving the incoming soldiers from the JSDF air assault who were showing up time to engage the people up top.

The system then calculated that Kuribayashi would engage in the Frey and would end up getting killed by the giants who had just entered close to her. I would be in no place to save her, but fireteam Exodia would. Taking them into account I placed priority markers on the giants close to where Kuribayashi would exist and listed them as kill immediately. Probability of that Idiot Kuribayashi getting hurt or worse killed dropped down to 0%. The Zero system predicted Rory's fighting style with the halberd and gave me ample targets to fire at with my twin SMGs before requesting I holster them and switch to my flamethrowers as Rory's attack would cause the guards to lock shields giving me ample targets to burn. Casualty rate 85%.

I considered If Rory would get hurt and saw the probability was at 15% which were good odds, not the best but still good. Soldiers would surround Rory and attack her, but the zero system told me she could handle it. The zero system gave me all the ways and even paths to dance around my enemies with my wrist blades and my special Katana Kaiser for this assault. With this so far into the system the Zero system predicted that within the first 5 minutes, 3 giants will be killed, and 45 out of the 95 normal soldiers would be killed. The Zero System then predicted Kuribayashi again would join the fight breaking her rifle and bayonet leaving her with a handgun.

I opted to rush Kuribayashi and hand her one of my kukri knives as a secondary weapon just in case and saw that her and Rory would take on a good chunk of the remaining soldiers. This left 6 giants and the mage. The Zero System predicted that it would be best to leave her alive.

The Zero system then painted 12 new targets. Archers along the wall with bows drawn on civilians. Painting them as targets I handed those off to Fireteam Exodia to handle. As I did the Zero system brought even more statistics, by the 10th minute enemy morale will be at 35% and the leader would die by Rory's hands. The zero system then gave a statistic that the JSDF will start a cleanup of the combat zone which was a good thing this is where it would end.

With this all-in mind I grinned and sent the data to all parties including having Argus send target data via radio to Itami and his group and let things unfold.

As I twirled my way through the enemy, people would yell in fear about the angel winged demon who was killing their troops and how meticulous I was.

As I fought Rory chuckled and said, "so this is the fighting style of the High Inquisitor! Such ferocity and grace! Like a leaf falling in winter!"

Twirling through the enemies like predicted none of them gave me the fight I wanted no matter if they got close to me their weapons did nothing. Nothing they threw at me was working, in fact I got bored pretty fast. Suddenly explosions went off as the JSDF helicopters rushed in sending who I assumed to be the leader crashing onto Rory's halberd.

The soldier dying on Rory's halberd stuttered saying, "this battle isn't a real battle, you have no honor, they have no honor oracle. You know it to be true please oracle!"

Rory mercilessly killed him and just as predicted the moral started to falter.

I was ready to kill more but Itami radioed me saying, "High Inquisitor they're doing a cleanup of the combat zone grab Rory and get out of there!"

I nodded my head and scooped Rory up into my arms and rushed out of the zone as the helicopter's gatling gun rattled the remaining forces and any who got out of the way were picked off my sniper fire from fireteam exodia.

Sighing I said, "shame…not one of them gave me the death I sought, perhaps I was not fated to die this day" I watched as mor soldiers poured out of troop copters and started detaining POWs and setting up areas for injured.

As I approached Itami and the others Itami looked at me and said, "looks like we're done."

With a nod I said, "yet not a single one came close to giving me the death I craved…what a shame."

A couple villagers came up to us and said, "we thank you, we're all safe thanks to you, the men in green and the demon who bears wings of god."

I was a bit taken back by this statement as it fit me way too well and seemed catchy as well.

The man then continued and said, "but I must ask who are you people, where do you come from?"

Kuwabara answered saying, "we're from Japan, the high inquisitor and fire team exodia represents Dark Legion Private Enforcement LLC. And we represent the Self-defense force."

Rory then tapped my cheek and smiled at me as she removed my helmet and looked me deep into my silver eyes, before slapping me square in the face for groping her.

Helping the towns folk with damages and assigning Fire team exodia to scour the city for anyone we missed who is trying to hide we managed to get everything squared away and even got the thanks of the town people who called us Hyushin, apparently, it's a word in their language meaning black order. According to Lelei the Hyushin were knights from the time of old who aided the empire in carrying out assassinations and aided in wartime efforts. The people of Italica said that the dark legion reminds them of the Hysuhin of old and as such gave us their title out of respect.

I overheard what Pina was saying about us, she considered us our enemy for occupying Alnis. Curious as to what she had to say I activated my cloaking and eavesdropped.

Sounding like a spoiled brat Pina said, "all I wanted to do was save Italica, but I fear I may have brought a fate worse than defeat, their flying weapons of steel and dark sorcery obliterated a horde of hardened bandits in seconds, and that monster the one they call the High Inquisitor and his fire team exodia if what the contract I signed with the princess of Italica is true then there are more people like them ready to fight should we break contract, if they were to turn that power against Italica…even I'd be"

I could sense the fear in her as she said, "princess Myui would be forced to give up her position and be taken as their prisoner, and this place a vital crossroads in the empire will be in the hands of the enemy and our citizens taken as their slaves."

The brunette tried to defend us saying, "but they would never! The High Inquisitor even said he wouldn't allow for a breach in contract! These guys seem professional!"

Princess Pina shouted, "are you really sure of that, you think they helped us rescue this town just to give it back, sure the contract states that fireteam exodia will be here to help train the princess's militia into true soldiers and they wouldn't plan a coup, but I don't have the power to refuse if that's what they demand I might have to throw myself at their mercy and lower myself to kiss their feet"

Having enough I decloaked and walked up saying, "you really need to have more trust in us" shocking everyone.

The brunette drew her sword and said, "how did you-"

"standard issue cloaking unit, all Legionnaires who specialize in stealth keep one on their armor, anyways you really need to trust us princess, we could have easily laid waste to the empire a long time ago, especially after your forces went through the gate to our world and killed hundreds of civilians, so how about we come to a peaceful trade without hostilities" I said before walking past her to the main manor.

A couple hours passed and Itami and I were called to the princess's hall where the brunette from princess Pina's entourage told us their negotiations, "to show our Appreciation for your assistance here we'd like to negotiate a fair and equitable compensation, article two in regarding all envoys and their safe passage as well as their expenses and article 3 is regarding the trade privileges with shop keepers on Alnis hill as per the request in the contract signed between the two princesses and dark legion private enforcement LLC. Teriffs are hereby waved. However, we would like to make it clear that we possess the right to captives."

Lelei stepped forward and said, "we understand that human resources are necessary for italica's recovery however they want assurance that the captives are treated well."

This confused the brunette who tilted her head to the side and said, "treat captives well?"

I took over for Lelei and said, "like a friend or a relative. Like someone familiar not treated as animals"

The brunette got angry at this and said, "would friends and relatives attack, taking up arms against a peaceful town completely unprovoked looting and butchering them!"

Clearly this bitch had never been stationed in Burma or Poland shit like that happened a lot.

I kept a stern look and said, "this is the requirement, or I will terminate the contract between Dark Legion Private Enforcement and pull my troops out."

The brunette sighed in defeat and said, "very well this will all be in regard to the treatment of the captives, the rest of the provisions and dress conditions for the withdrawal of your troops."

Lelei said, "no objections from the JSDF"

I nodded in agreement and said, "should the princess feel our services are no longer required too I'll pull my forces out without fuss."

The brunette looked back at Pina who gave a nod before looking at us and saying, "then the terms have been agreed upon."

Negotiating for captives Itami looked at me and said, "High inquisitor it should be noted that fireteam Exodia did in fact take dead elves from the brigands forces back through the gate for study so the captive should be somewhat like a guide."

Nodding my head, I looked through till I noticed a girl with feathers on her head and said, "itami don't you think she'd make a good MP in the city that's being built around Alnis?"

Itami nodded and negotiated with the brunette who agreed to the terms, and we started to get everything packed up and I looked at Itami and said, "I'll be going on ahead with fireteam Exodia to give my report to Doctor Miandi on the situation, you got this brother?"

Itami smirked and gave me a thumbs up signaling us to head on out.

As we left, however, I got a frantic transmission from Kuribayashi, news that made my blood boil in rage.

My brother had been taken hostage by the order of the rose, Princess Pina's forces.
