Bewitched

Chapter 12: The Ceremony Begins

Team Phantom and Misty's mother and grandmother were still in the Specter Speeder.

Tucker was driving and the others were in the back seat. However, Misty's mother wasn't being quiet right now.

"WATCH IT! YOU'RE GOING TOO FAST! HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD OF SPEED LIMITS?..."Mei said, clinging to her seat.

"We're in the air in a vehicle that looks like it belongs in a sci-fi movie, there aren't exactly rules here..."Sam snarked back, looking at Mei clinging onto her seat.

Despite her fear, Mei knew back-talk when she heard it and got angry.

"Do you talk to your parents like that?!..." Mei questioned angrily.

"I sure do..." Sam said with edge in her tone.

Mei heard this and frowned, not liking being given attitude from anyone.

"If you were my daughter, you'd learn a thing or two about respect! Like respecting how uncomfortable I am!..."She yelled at her.

Before this could escalate, they hit some turbulence and Mei screamed.

"AH! We're gonna crash!..."She screamed, as she clung to her mother.

"Relax, Mrs. Smith-Yang. We've driven this baby like 1,000 times by now. Heck, I can drive this baby with my eyes closed..."Tucker said, driving in a way that made her doubt his claim.

"Tucker, keep your eyes on the road! Or sky! Or whatever!..." Jazz exclaimed.

Tucker turned to face the front, and quickly swerved to dodge a flock of geese before quickly doing a barrel roll to fly over a giant rock on a hilltop that almost hit them.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!..."Everyone screamed, before going down to dodge a couple of huge tree and miraculous not crashing.

Mei and Suyin clung to each other, while Sam and Jazz prayed silently, as did Star.

"If we somehow survive this and he actually learns to drive a car, I'm taking the bus!..."She mumbled to herself, trying to keep it together.

"At least he's a better driver than your Dad..."Sam said.

Jazz frowned at her, yet wouldn't disagree.

"At least he keeps his eyes on the road..."Jazz muttered.

They were back in a "safer" part of the air, and he sent a smile. It was then that the techno geek tried to play it cool.

"There, see, easy peasy..." Tucker said, once they avoided colliding into something.

"How you got a license anyway?!..."Mei asked, still terrified over his driving/flying.

"License?..."Tucker asked, confused at her words.

"WHAT?!..."Mei exclaimed, freaking out even more now.

"I'm 15. So...no license. Sorry..."Tucker said, terrifying Mei even more.

"Mei, calm down. We have no choice but to deal with this..."Suyin said, while her daughter was still shaking and trying hard not to have a panic attack.

"I don't even like using regular planes..."She whimpered, and Team Phantom seemed concerned now.

"My daughter gets nervous during flights. It's unavoidable. Especially since we're flying inside something that looks like it was from those space movies I used to watch with my husband. It looked more fun in those movies..."Suyin explained, trying to calm her daughter down.

"There's no need to worry. Nothing bad will happen...again..."Star said, albeit she didn't really believe it.

She was just too concerned about her boyfriend to care about that.

"I would be better assured to have someone who is approved on driving a vehicle, namely not him..." Mei said nervously.

"If that's the case, shouldn't I be the one driving? I actually have a license..."Jazz pointed out.

"But it's not the same flying this thing compared to driving a car. It's harder..."Tucker pointed out, explaining why a driver's license was irrelevant.

"I already flew the Speeder before, and it's not that different from driving a car, Tucker..." Jazz argued back.

"EYES AHEAD! EYES AHEAD!..." Mei shouted, pointing at an airplane they were reaching.

Thinking fast, Tucker made the Speeder go at a 180 degree angle with a sharp turn before, once the plane was far enough, pulled the ship back to a 90 degree angle.

Mei shook while hyperventilating.

"Please let someone else drive this thing on the way home..."She said, hugging her in fear.

"Agreed..." Star, Sam and Jazz said in unison, much to Tucker's annoyance.

As the flight continued, Mei tried hard to keep her nerves in order and it didn't seem to be enough.

"It's all right, Mei. This is all for Misty..."Suyin said, trying to calm her down.

Saying that it was for her daughter, she became even more furious.

Mei was angry right now, finding this entire situation to be ludicrous.

She would understand if her daughter was mad for making her study, but instead of just sulking in her room, she awakened a dormant power from her family and used it to try and ensnare a boy into a relationship.

It was madness and the middle aged mother was equal parts scared for her and angry with her.

"I can't believe she'd do all this for a boy. I would never act so boy crazy and put everything aside for one..." Mei said, looking ready to punish her child as soon as she saw her.

Laolao scowled at her from behind, shaking her head in disapproval before rolling her eyes with a groan.

"Liar, I see that you still chose to forget what happened all those years ago..."The old woman said under her breath, making her daughter frowned.

"Excuse me, Mother, but I have no idea what you're talking about!..."Mei said in denial, but her mother would have none of it.

"You may have forgotten but I haven't, Mei! You can act like the past never happened, but it doesn't change anything!..."Suyin said, glaring at her daughter.

Mei flinched while Team Phantom wondered what that meant.

"Uh...what happened?..."Star asked.

"Let's just say that Misty isn't the only one in our family who has done foolish things over a boy..."Suyin said, sending a critical look to her daughter.

Mei looked ashamed, and remained silent. Sam, Star and the others wondered what that meant and decided to stay quiet.

"None of our business...I suppose. I just want to save my Danny Boo before it's too late..."Star thought, as she worried about Danny.

"We really need to speed things up. Any ideas?..."Star said, wanting to get to Danny A.S.A.P.

"I think I have an idea. Dad said that he added a turbo to the engine to make it go faster..."Jazz said.

"Then what are you waiting for. Use it..."Star said.

"I know but...you know...how...dangerous my dad's upgrades can be..."Jazz said, looking unsure now.

Star didn't care, too desperate to find Danny to care about anything else right now.

"I actually don't care right now. Use it. Who knows what's happening to Danny? Besides, how bad can it be?..."Star asked.

Jazz nodded, beginning to activate it.

"Uh...I don't think-..."Mei said, but it was too late now.

Jazz pressed the button and soon enough, the Specter Speeder's speed increased and went too fast.

"ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!..."Mei screamed, as she clung to her mother as she feared for her life.

It wasn't an unfounded fear. The speed she was going with and the person at the driver's seat made those fears hard to handle. However, Star ignored the fast speeds and only thought about rescuing her true love and to make sure he doesn't get taken away by another crazy stalker girl.

"Don't worry, Danny. We're coming..."Star said, as she was too focused on Danny to be concerned about crashing.

She was never so worried about him as she was now. This was different, he was alone and helpless. He needed her more than ever.

She won't let any magic or monsters stop her from finding and taking back her man.

Meanwhile

In China

Misty was getting ready for the ceremony.

"Okay...the potion is ready...the alter is set up...and done..."The dark haired girl thought, as she organized the preparations.

Misty took a deep breath, feeling like she was about to change her life.

"Soon, you'll be free from that girl's love potion..."She said.

That is when Wufong phased into the room and inspected her work.

"So, how is it coming along?..."He asked.

"As you can see, everything is all set..."Misty said, smiling as the spell book's spirit looked pleased.

He nodded in satisfaction before turning to Misty.

"Marvelous. Now all we have to do is wait for sunset for the ceremony and then you can use the potion..."He said.

"Remind me again why we have to wait until sunset? Why can't I do it now?..."Misty asked, wanting to start her happy ending already.

"The spell must be done during sunset or it won't work. Twilight is when our magic is at its strongest, when the veil of day and night are at its peak..."Wufong explained.

"Oh...right..."Misty said, her nervousness getting the better of her.

"Are you alright?..."Wufong asked, hoping that she's not getting cold feet right now.

"Okay... I'm about to ensure Danny's freedom from Star and prepare our future together. I'm kind of nervous..." Misty admitted.

"You're not getting married. At least, not yet..." Wufong said.

"True... but, it's just... I'm afraid of messing up..."Misty said, having never tried anything that complex before.

"You won't..." Wufong said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "You're a lovely girl. He is perfect for you, and you for him..."He said, thinking of his new body that he will soon get.

Misty smiled, unaware of his true intentions.

"Thanks... you get me. It's... kind of weird..."She said with a smile, looking down for a bit.

"Weird?..."Wufong asked, wondering what this meant.

"My dad had little presence in my life before he walked out on us... so, to hear a male relative talk to me like this... is kind of... uplifting..." Misty said, having gotten an issue she ignores off her chest.

She never gave much thought about having a paternal figure. It's always been her mother and grandmother that raised her mostly, but it felt nice to have a reliable paternal role model to lean on.

"I suppose so. Now... best be ready. Your future husband is waiting for you..." Wufon said in an encouraging way, making the young girl smile.

"Right..." Misty said, with a big smile as she headed to get Danny.

Wufong smiled evilly once she was gone.

"Soon, you will go from getting a father figure to getting a son..."He thought, feeling that all the ritual items were being set in place.

First, he'll use the powerful hero to recover his powers, then he'll reclaim this world. Then, the world would relearn to fear the Yang Clan.

He would make sure of it.

Elsewhere

The specter speeder soon landed in China.

Star got out of the vehicle, as did the others. Mei was still shaken, while Suyin got out of the speeder, trying to sooth her traumatized daughter.

"This is not what I meant when I said I'd love to see China..."Mei said, hating all of that.

"Easy there, Mei. It's over. Now we have to find Misty..."Suyin said, trying to keep everyone focused.

It was an uphill battle, but it feels like they were getting there steadily. However, they all saw their surroundings and can't help but be mesmerized by the sights, especially with the sun almost setting, giving the sky an orange tint

"Wow...China..."Tucker said, as he was amazed by the sights.

"I know..."Jazz said, amazed to be here.

"We're not here for sightseeing. We gotta find Danny..."Star said, as she picked up the Boomerang.

"Find Danny..." She said as the threw the Boomerang.

Before they could do anything, they heard the sound of a banging coming from inside the speeder.

"Who's there?..."Tucker said, as he was afraid there were some ghosts.

There weren't.

Star, Tucker, Sam, and Jazz entered the Speeder and spread out, checking every inch and corner of the vehicle.

"Wait a minute..." Star said, noticing the bathroom door was locked.

"Who's in there?!..."She shouted, as she pulled out her saber.

She knocked on the door, ready to fight.

"Shh shh..." She heard someone go.

Star turned to Sam, who picked up a blaster and aimed it at the door.

"Step out or we'll shoot!..." Star demanded.

The door swung open, and a young boy ran out with his hands raised in surrender.

"Don't shoot! We surrender!..." Max went, freaking out.

Martin facepalmed before their mother recognized them. She got worried and angry at the same time, shocking to see her sons here.

"Boys?! What are you doing here?!..." She questioned.

"It's not my fault!..."Martin said, panicking.

"Max ran away, and I knew that I'd get blamed-...

"That's not true! You said that something is up with Misty and-..."The two brothers began to argue over each other and ignored the others.

"Boys, enough. We must find Misty and Danny..."Suyin yelled, breaking the two up while her daughter kept yelling.

"I AM VERY ANGRY! I TOLD YOU TO STAY PUT, AND NOT ONLY DID YOU DISOBEY, YOU FOLLOWED US INSIDE THIS DEATH CONTRAPTION, WHERE YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN HURT WITH ME KNOWING!..."Mei yelled, while her sons both shrunk a bit.

"Mom...we're sorry but Max is right. We're worried about Misty and want to help. That's why we snuck in this thing when you guys weren't looking. I'm sorry but...we wanna make sure she is okay..."Martin said, trying to appease her.

Max nodded.

"Yeah, we're just scared something bad is happening to her. We just want to help..." Max said.

Mei sighed, and relented. It's not like she had any choice, with them already here.

"Very well, We have no choice. Come with us, but you stay close, understand ..."Mei said, as they soon went forward.

They soon arrived to an abandoned temple, with a familiar symbol.

"Wow...cool..."Max said, amazed by the temple's size.

"It's huge..."Martin said.

"What does that mean?..."Tucker said, pointing to the symbol on the temple's entrance.

"It means "Yang". It's also the symbol of our clan. We are really home..."Suyin said, knowing the legends.

"I heard the stories, but I didn't think this was real..."Mei said, speechless.

"So, this is where all of Misty's magic comes from?..."Star said, focused on rescuing Danny.

Suyin nodded.

"My great grandfather once told me that our family were very connected to magic, but something happened to made us lose that connection. Somehow, Misty was able to find that connection..."She said, while Mei still had trouble processing this.

"I can't believe this..."Mei muttered, while her son's seemed surprised.

"So...Misty has magic?..."Martin asked, surprised.

"Yes, and she used it to sneak out here apparently..."Suyin said.

"And try and steal my boyfriend..."Star said bitterly.

"Just so you know, in case you haven't notice... I'm REALLY peeved off right now...and if she tries to stick her tongue down MY boyfriend's mouth, I'm not holding back cause that job is only reserved for me and me alone!..."Star said, not mincing words here.

Mei and Suyin cringed at that.

"I...apologize for my granddaughters actions...and her...questionable actions towards your boyfriend but I am sure that something else is making her do these things. She has always been headstrong but she'd never do anything bad...not on purpose..."Suyin said, wanting to give Misty the benefit of the doubt.

"Just know that if she lays one hand on MY Danny, she has another thing coming..."Star said in warning.

Suyin and Mei wanted to say something, but that is when the youngest member of the family looked amazed as he eyed the temple.

"Wow..."The little boy said, before getting an idea.

"Wait...if Misty has magic...do we have magic too?..." Max asked.

"Of course not..." Mei said.

"Actually, you might have it. Misty's a descendant of the clan, so logically we should to..." Laolao said.

Mei couldn't help but roll her eyes. Sure, she saw her daughter use magic, and she flew through another dimension driven by an unlicensed teenager, but she draws the line of them having magic.

"There is no way, I know it. I mean...If I had magic, I could levitate that rock to me-..."Mei was stunned silent, when the rock suddenly floated and landed in her hand.

"Uh...Mom..."Martin said, eyes widened.

"You..."Suyin said, impressed.

"Cool, do it again!..."Max cheered, happy at the prospect of being magical.

Mei, however, was stunned silent right now. She couldn't believe what she just did.

She just freaked out, a lot.

"ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!..."Mei screamed, as she dropped it in fear.

As she tried to convince herself that it was all a trick in her head, her sons were looking eager with sparkling eyes.

"I wanna do that too. I'll use that stick..."Max said, as he saw a stick nearby.

"Stick. Come..."Max said, hoping he also could do magic.

"Max, don't do it..."Suyin said, but soon saw the stick levitate and land in Max's hand

The little boy cheered, looking excited.

"I DID IT! I GOT MAGIC TOO! AWESOME!..."Max cheered, while wondering what else he could do.

"So...magic truly runs in the family. Amazing!..."Martin said, excited as he tried himself.

"I never truly believed the magic was real, but here goes nothing..."Suyin said, as she and Martin both tried.

And it worked for them as well.

Martin spotted a weed and he suddenly made it bigger, turning it into a bush, while Suyin looked at a broken statue before using her magic to repair it, making it look like new.

"Oh my..."Suyin went, stunned.

"Cool!..." Martin cried out, looking at his hands in amazement.

"This would have made moving so much easier..." Suyin said.

"Magic...is...real..."Mei said, as if it has finally sunken in for her.

Team Phantom was amazed by this.

"So, more witches..."Star muttered.

"Sorcerers..."Laolao said.

"I'm sorry but our ancestor was a sorcerer, and witch seems a little negative. Can you just call us sorcerers?..."The old lady asked.

"Whatever..."Star said, rolling her eyes.

However, Jazz suddenly realized something.

"Wait...this can work in our favor..."She said.

"What do you mean?..."Mei asked, having calmed down a little.

"Misty has magic, but so do you guys too...which can help is out..."Jazz pointed out.

Star heard this and smiled.

"Yeah, that can work if she tries anything funny again..."She said, before turning to the Smith-Yang family.

"Okay, you guys can use magic, now use that to help Danny..." Star said, making the two boys and Suyin nod while Mei was still processing that she had magical powers.

Once the shock wore off, she nodded.

"Okay, let's go find Misty and your friend...before anything more insane happens..."Mei said, wanting to get her daughter and get back home before something else happens to make her question her sanity.

The others nodded, and began to explore the temple to find the teens...unaware that more craziness was just around the corner.

Meanwhile

Danny was still tied to the chair, and couldn't phase out.

"Ugh, my first trip to China and it isn't as fun as I imagined it be..."Danny grumbled, as he tried to get loose and failed.

He sighed in irritation as he noticed that the ropes were somehow blocking his powers, making him unable to phase through them.

"Darn it..."He grumbled.

As he tried to find a way out of this, that is when his unwanted admirer arrived.

"I'm back!~..."Misty said cheerfully, floating inside.

Danny frowned.

"Unfortunately..."He snarked.

Misty didn't seem to notice, as she kept smiling eerily. Too eerily.

"Did you missed me, Danny?..."Misty said, as she approached him.

"Like I missed skin rash..."Danny said, as the female sorceress kept invading his personal space

"Funny..."She said, not noticing how uncomfortable she was making him.

It didn't help that she was wearing a lot of make up now, with her lips blood red and her eye's glowing an even brighter green, making her look creepy in his opinion. She was also wearing her clan's robe again, along with a strange headpiece that she wasn't wearing before.

"New look?..."Danny snarked.

"It's for tonight...you like?..."Misty asked, posing a bit

"Yeah, it matches the freaky glow in your eyes..."He snarked, but Misty didn't notice.

She seemed to be in a daze, as she got closer.

"We're finally together..."She whispered, twirling some of his hair.

The ghost boy cringed.

"Not good..."He thought.

Still, he tried to reason with her. He knew that Wufong had a grip on her, but he tried to see if he could snap her out of this before this escalates any further.

"Misty...look..."Danny tried, but she placed a finger in his lips, silencing him.

"Don't say anything. Everything will be fine soon..."She said, dismissing his objections as Star's love potion.

A non-existent potion.

Suddenly, using her magic, she turned the chair and rope and turned it into a control mechanism, tying Danny like a marionette.

"Hey, what are you doing?!..."He shouted.

"Oh, just wanted to have some fun before we got busy..."She said.

She then forced Danny to hold her before they started slow dancing. Misty sighed happily to be slow dancing with Danny, not seeing the discomfort on his face.

"This is so freaky..."He said, wishing that he had control of his self right now.

His wanna-be girlfriend didn't seem to notice, trapped in her own delusion right now.

"Our prom nights are going to be the best..." Misty said, as she willed him to dop her.

Danny, meanwhile, kept trying to speak to her, to get her to stop all of this.

"Listen, Wufong? He's-..."

"The best!..." Misty went, smiling.

"He's helped me more than my own mother has! Oh! It'll be so great to have him around! To see his bloodline to continue so strong!..."She said cheerfully.

"Yeah... he'll definitely be around..." Danny muttered with sarcasm, which Misty didn't notice.

She just kept enjoying the moment she was forcing.

"So... I'm thinking of names for our boy. Mason, Michael or Monty. Or maybe Derek, Davis or Damien? Either my first initial or yours. All I know is I might drop the Smith in my name and go by Misty Yang-Fenton, so they'll be taking that too..." Misty said, giggling in an almost deluded way now.

Danny freaked out at that, and struggled more as he tried to make her listen. However, she still seemed to be losing touch with reality and kept yammering about their non-existent future.

"Misty, Wufong wants to-..."

"Oh, it'll be so wonderful!..." She went, speeding up her dance a bit.

"Listen to me! You're being-..."

"Oh, silly me! You should have a say in how our boy is going to be..." Misty went.

Danny made a face before deciding to speak up.

"Looks, he doesn't want t-..."

"Oh... I can't help it. I just can't contain how happy I am that we're going to be together forever..." She said before kissing him.

"This is so wrong..."Danny thought, but couldn't do anything.

The spell was affecting his powers to free himself and help Misty. Despite how she attacked him and forcing him into this relationship, she was still a victim and he wanted to help her.

The same spell that's making him dance made him unable to push her off. Once she was done, he decided to try again.

"Wufong is using us! He's going to use our son as a new body so he can take over the world!..." Danny went, hoping that he finally managed to snap her out of it.

Misty stared in silence before laughing, as if he made some sort of joke.

"Oh, Danny, you're so funny..."She said, giggling.

Danny frowned.

"I'm NOT being funny! I'm serious!..."He yelled, but she didn't seem to believe him.

Too focused on her delusions to see anything she didn't want to. She just kept laughing and holding onto him like a kid holds their favorite toy.

"Wedding jitters before the actual wedding? Adorable..."She said in a cooing way as she stroke his face lovingly.

The ghost boy was at his wits end now, desperate. But no matter what he'll say or do, Misty won't listen. She was way too deep into what Wulong is doing to her.

"She's too into me and under his grip to listen..."Danny said, hating this.

It wasn't over, as the young sorceress kept talking and acting like she wasn't holding him here against his will. She was crazier than Vlad and Colette together, but unlike them, she was being under the influence of another.

He needed to help her, before she does something to hurt both of them.

"It's love. Also, I think that we should move out here. It's much cleaner and we can lead the newly reformed clan together in an environment away from everyone who kept us apart..."Misty said, giddy beyond all control.

"Misty, please snap out of it. This is too much. You don't know what you are doing. Also, I can't move to China! My family and my life is back in Amity Park!.."Danny begged.

"Oh, I know what I am doing...achieving our destiny...and don't worry, your family can come visit us after our son is born..."She said in an almost hypnotized way, before smiling wider.

"Anyway, we can dance later. Time to get things ready..."Misty said, letting him go.

"Misty, snap out of it! You're being mind-controlled! Wufong is using you!..."Danny yelled, but Misty just hummed as she snapped her fingers.

Suddenly, another chair appeared and Danny was walking towards it. The spell that made Danny dance with her made him sit down without consent.

"You can't keep me here!..."Danny said, but the spell made him unable to move.

"Don't worry, it'll all be over soon..."Misty said, giddy that Danny will be hers in a short while.

She then noticed the time and smiled.

"Oh, it's almost time!..."Misty said in excitement, smiling widely.

"Time for what?..."Danny asked, dreading this.

"Time to free you and start our destiny!..."Misty said, as she snapped her fingers.

Danny found himself floating in the chair and being led by Misty into a different room.

"Let me down!..." Danny exclaimed as he struggled in his chair.

Misty ignored him, and entered the room she was preparing, putting Danny at the center of where the ritual will be. She then began to prepare for the ceremony and held the book close to her heart.

Danny struggled harder, seeing that he was almost out of time.

Wufong soon phased inside, eyes gleaming wickedly as he sneered at Danny before looking innocent as Misty turned to him.

"Misty, it's time. Start the ceremony..."Wufong said.

"Yes, I'm ready..."Misty said, as she readied herself.

Wufong then floated at the ritual, sneering at Danny, who glared at him. Wufong then turned to Misty, who was reading the spell book.

"Once the sun sets, I can use the potion and free you from Star's control. You'll be free and thank me so much that you'll love me forever..."Misty said, delusional right now.

"The only one who is under any control is you!..."Danny yelled, only for Wufong to shush him.

"Don't worry, Misty dear. The spell that blonde witch has him under is strong but will be broken soon. Just have faith..."Wufong said, patting her shoulder in an almost fatherly way.

"I know. Misty Yang-Fenton, here I come..."Misty said, totally convinced Wufong was on her side.

The ghost boy saw this and groaned, hating this more and more. He also knew that in a way, Misty isn't in control of herself, but that means that it was even harder to reason with her.

"Whatever he's doing to her, it's too much. I'm going to be stuck with her unless I think of something fast..."Danny said, unable to bare it.

He can't stand the idea of being with someone who isn't Star, especially someone he doesn't love. He didn't hate Misty, but he knew he'd never love her or the child they'd have if Wufong had things his way.

The ghost boy tried to break free, unaware that help was already on the way.

As well as being unaware that someone else was experiencing something as bad as what he was experiencing.

Meanwhile

In France

Vlad and Alicia were still on their honeymoon.

Alicia wanted to get more souvenirs and looked to Vlad like a kid in a toy store.

"Vladdie, I need new dresses..." Alicia told her husband, wanting him to buy them.

"Anything you desire, my love..." Vlad replied, unable to turn her down.

Or to acknowledge he deserved it.

He still hasn't figure out why he was married to Alicia, but did guessed how it happened.

"This is all your fault, little badger..." Vlad told himself. "I'd never run afoul of that accursed fairy had you renounced your father and became my son. It's too late now. Once I'm free from your Aunt, I'm killing you, your sister, and your father; and then I'll marry your mother and we'll have children who won't have the taint of Fenton DNA!..."He thought with venom.

His only comfort was to think of ways to enact revenge. He'll plan the most humiliating, petty, and teeth gnashing revenge to Danny before erasing the Fenton family line.

As they kept shopping, Alicia noticed something up ahead and it made her smile.

"Aww... look at that, darlin'..." Alicia went, pointing up ahead.

"What?..." Vlad asked, turning his head.

He saw an old couple eating together, openly happy and content with each other. She found it darling and couldn't help but picture herself and Vlad like that.

"That'll be us someday..." Alicia said, smiling at the mere thought of it.

"Not if I have any say in it..." Vlad thought, hoping to be free from this long before then.

"I certainly hope we're in better shape then..." He jokingly said.

"Good one..."His wife said, liking the joke.

Alicia laughed before juice spilled out of her nose, staining his clothes.

"Oops!..."She went in a clumsy fashion.

"What was that?!..." Vlad asked, as he tried to wipe himself with napkins.

"Sorry... that happens when I drink and laugh..." Alicia said.

"It does?..." Vlad asked, internally grossed out.

"I got a deviated septum. Did I forget to mention that?..." Alicia asked in a clueless manner.

"You did..." Vlad said, unable to express his anger and disgust right now.

"Oops..." Alicia went playfully.

"Wonderful, I'm learning new little quirks about her that make me almost consider going to that genie Desiree to wish her away and risk whatever negative effects that'll have..." Vlad thought bitterly.

No effect can be more negative than Alicia, he was sure of that. Even having Jack nurse him back to health is preferable to this.

"After this, let's go to that fancy chocolate shop. I wanna get some more of those really expensive bon bons..."Alicia said, wanting to enjoy the rest of their honeymoon.

"Anything you say, Dear..."Vlad said, upset that his wallet was gonna get another big hit after this.

Back in China

Team Phantom and Misty's family kept searching the temple, but found nothing yet.

"Find anything yet?..."Star asked, as she walked around the temple.

"Not yet..."Sam said, as they kept searching.

However, one of them noticed something.

"Hey, this wall feels hollow..." Tucker said, knocking on the walls to look for a secret entrance.

"Is there a button or something?..." Martin asked.

"No time, just blast it!..." Jazz said, before aiming her bazooka and fired, destroying the wall.

"I almost hate to destroy such beautiful architecture... almost..." Sam said.

"We can feel bad later. Let's go save Danny..." Star said.

"Yes, we need to find him and Misty before either of them get hurt..."Martin said, as Mei agreed.

"Agreed, now let's get moving!..."Mei said, more resolute than ever.

They all began preparing themselves. They blasted the wall open, to reveal a passage way on the other side.

"Wow...this looks like something from a movie..."Max said, amazed.

"Stay close to me, Boys.."Mei ordered, as she took her youngest son's hands.

"What is this thing?..."Sam asked.

"It must be a secret entrance..."Suyin said.

"I think I hear something...I guess this is our best chance to find Danny and Misty..."Star said.

"Then let's go. I'll lead the way..."Jazz said, as they all followed behind her and entered in.

A little later

They all walked through the secret entrance and began walking. They soon arrived to some ancient looking stairs, and began walking down it.

"Watch your step..."Jazz said.

"Max, Martin. Stay close to me..."Mei said in an overprotective manner.

"Okay, Mom..."Max said, while Martin remained silent.

Once they made it down, they saw that they were in some kind of underground cavern.

"Wow...this must be the ritual room. I heard stories about it, but I didn't think it was real..."Laolao said in somewhat marveling way.

"So, any idea where Misty and Danny could be?..."Star asked.

"If I am remembering my grandfather's stories correctly, there is suppose to be a chamber near here, where they used to keep some of their most valuable artifacts and performed more advanced spells...but back then, I thought it was all hogwash..."Suyin said.

"That must be where Misty took Danny..."Star said.

"Any idea where it is?..."Jazz asked.

"I think...up ahead..."Suyin said as they began walking.

They soon arrived to branching paths in the hallway, leading to two different pathways.

"Where to next?..."Tucker asked.

Star tried to look and listen around. However, Tucker ended up stepping on some wire and setting it off.

"Uh..."Tucker paused as he felt something gently tugging his foot.

"Uh, guy? I think I might have set off a-..." Tucker began saying, before he was interrupted by a rumbling sound that was getting loud and louder with every second passing.

Once Tucker and a few others turned around to see what it was, they were frozen out of fear from seeing a giant boulder rolling there way. The giant boulder tumbling towards them. Until Jazz aimed her Fenton Bazooka at the big round rock and blasted it into hundreds of pebbles that rolled yo everyone's feet

Everyone sent him glares.

"Oops..."He said sheepishly, getting eye rolls from his friends.

"I'm guessing he's never seen an Indiana Jones movie?..." Star asked, frowning.

"He only watched it for the ladies..." Sam went.

"Of course... because anyone would know to check for booby traps!..."Star said.

"Sorry about that..."Tucker said.

However, it wasn't over yet.

That's when the walls grew spikes that slowly inched towards them.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!..."They all screamed.

"Another booby trap? I didn't touch anything this time, I swear!..." Tucker yelped, as the spikes drew closer.

"Someone must have stepped on something...but who set this up?..."Sam asked, trying to back away from the dangerous spikes.

"Misty?..." Jazz asked, guessing that she was behind this.

"Must be... who else could set all this up?..." Star asked, assuming that was her.

"I didn't think she'd do something so... violent..." Jazz commented, worrying about the sorceress's mental stability right now.

"This girl stole my boyfriend and is probably gonna force him to reciprocate her feelings! And she's dead if she think I'll take this sitting down!..."Star yelled as they noticed spikes and the walls closing in on them.

"OH MY GOSH!..."Mei screamed, worried for their lives now.

However, they weren't hurt. Max then touched the trap and it deactivated. The walls suddenly stopped all of a sudden, and then the spikes went back into the wall, as if nothing had happened.

Everyone was stunned by the unexpected development.

"It...it stopped..."Mei said, shaken but relieved.

"We're saved..."Suyin said, relieved but Team Phantom was confused.

"Uh... why did it deactivate?..." Star asked, not understanding any of this.

"I just touched it..." Max said, pointing to the wall.

"Max, don't touch strange things!..." Mei ordered, before smiling. "But, I guess this time it's okay..."She said, relieved that they are safe.

"Still, how did that happen?..."Martin asked, confused.

"Wait... we're descended from the Yang clan...and we've all got magic in our blood too. Maybe Max basically pressed the off button thanks to it?..." Laolao questioned.

"You're serious, mother?..."Mei asked.

"How else do you explain it?..." Laolao pointed out.

Mei couldn't come up with any answers.

"I guess that makes sense..."She admitted.

However, she didn't want to look defected in front of her sons and tried to look serious again.

"And maybe we can use that to our advantage to stop your daughter and save my Boo..." Star said.

"Let's just focus on rescuing my daughter and the Fenton's son and bringing them both back home..."Mei said, wanting to get things back on track.

Martin raised an eyebrow as he knew that his mother's behavior related to magic, but decided to remain silent for now.

"Let's go..."She said, wanting to stop Misty from whatever she's doing.

Before it's too late for her and for Danny.

Inside

The sun was starting to set, and Misty was getting excited.

"It's almost time..."She said, grinning.

She then double-checked her cauldron to see how far done the mixture is. The spell was currently glowing a fair shade of pink, which excited the young sorceress in training.

"Perfect..."She said, as she fidget a bit in anticipation.

Right now, the baby names for her boy were flooding her mind, along with more visions of what she expected for her future. However, she knew that she had work to do.

She then went to where her "darling" was, and used her magic to levitate him again.

"Okay... now... all I have to do is use this stuff and we can finally begin our future together..." Misty said, as she placed him to the center of the ground where the spell would take place.

"Misty! No! Please!..." Danny begged, trying to break free.

Misty didn't listen, and continued to prepare for the spell. Wufong saw the entire event unfold and smirked.

"We're almost there..."He whispered in a dark tone, feeling that soon his master plan would succeed.

Meanwhile

Team Phantom and the Yang-Smith family were on the other side of the door, where the spell was about to take place.

Tucker and Sam tried to pry it open, but nothing.

"It's locked!..." Sam said.

"Fortunately, I have a delicate lock-picking technique..." Star said with a smile.

"How?..."Tucker asked, while Star presented a bazooka.

"Oh, right..."Tucker said, as Star got ready.

"Everyone stand back..."Star warned, charging up the bazooka.

"Cool..."Max said, while his mother held him.

"Oh dear..."Mei said, as they all braced themselves.

Back with Misty

Misty stood before Danny, with only her cauldron with the potion within it between them.

"It's time, Danny..."Misty said in a dark way.

"Can we take a rein check...for never..."Danny said, struggling.

"Once the potion takes effects, everything will be fine..."Misty said, as she began.

"Since you don't know Chinese, I'll say the spell in English before I say it officially in Chinese..."She explained.

"How thoughtful..."Danny said sarcastically, trying to find a way out of this.

Misty's eyes and hands glowed green, as she began to chant.

"Ancestors of the Yang clan, with this potion, set my beloved free, so that his heart can belong only to me!~..."She said, as the cauldron glowed as well.

"Yáng shì xiānzǔ, yòng zhè dān yào, ràng-..."

KABOOM!

Misty's chant was interrupted, when the door was blasted down.

"What the heck?!..."Misty screamed, her concentration was broken and everything stopped glowing.

"Who dares to interfere with this?!..."Wufong shouted, angry about the interruption.

Danny gasped in relief, when he saw who it was.

"There!..." Sam went, as she and the others ran inside the room.

"Guys!..."Danny shouted in relief.

"Danny!..."Star said in relief, happy to see him.

Misty saw her and growled.

"YOU?!..."The dark haired sorceress shouted, angry at the sight of her rival.

Star glared back at her, pulling out her saber.

"Okay, Misty and..." Star sees Wufong for the first time. "... ghost I've never seen before...keep your hands where I can see them and away from my boyfriend... set Danny free!..." Star demanded.

"Not happening..."Misty said, only to see her own family with them.

" Wait... Mom? Laolao? And my brothers?..." Misty went, snapping out of it slightly.

"Misty! What is going on?! And who is that?!..." Mei asked, pointing to the ghost.

"Uh... are her eyes glowing? And has she always been able to float?..." Laolao asked, worried for her granddaughter.

"Where did she get that bathrobe?..." Max asked.

Misty mildly calms down until Wufong got in her way.

"Your family does not approve of you being with your love. Show them you will not let them interfere..." Wufong stated.

Misty heard this and frowned, her eyes and fists glowed a brighter shade of green and the rest of her body glowed too. She levitated higher, her power radiating for all to see.

Her family saw this and was scared, worried for her and one of them was even somewhat amazed too.

"Wow..."Max said, while wondering if he could do the same.

"Go away! I'm busy!..."Misty said as she didn't like seeing her own family turning against her.

Her grandmother and brothers were appalled, but Misty's mother still tried to get her to stop.

"Misty Smith Yang, stop this at once!..."Mei ordered.

Wufong appeared behind Misty and whispered into her ear again.

"They are here to interfere with your destiny. They don't approve of the love you two will have. They want you force you back into the path that they chose for you. A path that you know will never make you happy. They don't understand you like I do..."Wufong said, his voice manipulating her.

Misty's eyes glowed greener and her expression turned darker. She glared at her micro-managing mother, as her bottled up emotions started to boil up.

"I don't recall asking for your permission!..."Misty said, as she snapped her fingers.

Instantly, the shadows produced several clothed ghost warriors.

"Ninjas? In China?..." Tucker asked, not understanding them.

"I think those are Lin Kuei... sort of the Chinese variant..." Suyin stated, hating this.

Misty then snapped her fingers to have them block their path, while her family panicked and huddled together. Misty then turned her attention to Danny, while her family and some of the Team Phantom got angry.

"Misty! Let that boy go!..."Mei ordered, but Misty snarled.

"Stop trying to control my life!..."Misty said, as she let out her emotions in one outburst.

Most, if not all of the Yang-Smith family gasped at Misty's ire filled shout. Even so, Mei didn't like back talk and tried to get her to listen to her.

"Young lady, snap out of this nonsense! He's clearly not interested in dating you, marrying you or having a child with you! You're too young for any of-..."Mei tried, but her daughter snapped.

"SHUT UP!..." Misty shouted.

"Don't take that tone with me, young l-..."She was cut off when her daughter started ranting.

"SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP! I am so tired of your nagging! Your orders! Your refusal to let me have a life of my own! This magic gave me freedom! Freedom I am not letting you take from me again!..." Misty shouted before waving her hand, creating a barrier that blocked Mei from her daughter.

"Misty?!..."Mei said, shocked as her daughter floated closer to her with a menacing expression on her face.

"Read my lips...You DON'T get to tell me what to do anymore! There is a new head of the Yang clan and that's me!..."Misty said, as made her new standing in this family known.

"Oh my!..."Mei whispered, slight loss for words.

Her daughter continued to sent her a dark look. She then silently ordered one of the clothed ghosts to approach her.

"Oh my word!..."Mei yelled as she was grabbed by the arm and pressed against the wall.

"Misty, don't!..."Suyin said as her granddaughter ignored her, apparently unable to hear her.

"She's gone crazy!..."Max said, as he clung to Martin who nodded.

"No kidding!..."He said, worried about his sister's mental state.

"It's time, everything is ready. I won't lose another second without my Danny..."Misty said as Wufong nodded.

"Then start casting, and don't get distracted. The warriors you've summoned will delay them..."He said as the young sorceress obeyed him.

"Not so fast!..." Star said, aiming her blaster.

One Lin Kuei ghost appeared, backhanding the weapon out of her.

"You won't interfere with my happiness anymore!..."Misty declared, power radiating off her as she levitated, heading towards the cauldron.

"Wait, Misty!..." Danny said.

Misty begins chant the spell in her clan's native language, Chinese.

"Happily ever after and me becoming Misty Yang-Fenton, Here we come!..."Misty declared as she went back to chanting,

Team Phantom and Danny all saw this and tried to stop her.

"Oh man!..."Danny said.

"This is terrible!..."Jazz said as the Lin Kuei ghosts surrounded them.

"She won't get away with this!..."Star said, glaring at Misty.

"Might wanna tell that to them!..."Sam said, worried for her friends and the others.

The Lin Kuei ghosts resumed their steady march to keep them away.

However, the heroes wouldn't back down as the clash between Team Phantom and Sorceress Misty, who is under the influence of Wufong, was about to go underway.

Oh man.
