Chapter 9: Getting Ready for Zach's Speech
Ryan (to Zach): Uh, Zach?
Zach (to Ryan): What is it, Ryan?
Ryan (to Zach): Ever since Zoe and I came to Earth, we've been helping HJ, Josh, Jamie, Tom, and the other members in the Cork Men fight crime since then.
Zoe (to Zach): Yeah.
Zach (to Ryan and Zoe): Oh, okay.
Ryan (to everyone else): Did Zoe and I mention that our home planet has the same amount of atmosphere that the Earth does?
Lincoln, Clyde, Zach, Rusty, Liam, and Stella in unison: Yes.
Mr. Gurdle: Yes, you did, Ryan and Zoe.
Mrs. Gurdle: Yes, you sure did.
Ryan and Zoe in unison: Oh, okay.
Ryan: Zoe and I got the hang of everything on Earth and how they work.
Zoe: Yeah.
Ryan: So anyway, thank you all for listening to our backstory.
Zoe: Yeah, thanks.
Everyone else in unison: You're welcome!
Ryan (to Zach): Uh, Zach? You said everyone in your grade is coming, right?
Zach (to Ryan): Uh, yes, I did.
Zoe: Even Chandler?
Zach (to Zoe): Yes, even Chandler. Because he was here last time my friends and I faked an alien landing.
Ryan (to Zach): Zach, are you nuts? What if Chandler embarrasses you again? What if everyone in your grade brought their phones to record you being humiliated after Chandler embarrasses you? What if everyone in your grade laughs at you?
Zach (to Ryan): Uh, Ryan. I'm pretty sure that HJ has a plan for this. *to HJ* HJ?
HJ: I have an idea. The members in hero group and I will confiscate all Royal Woods Middle School sixth graders' phones and we will give them back to them after Zach's speech. Once we confiscate them, we'll make sure no one records Zach being humiliated.
Zach (to HJ): What if Chandler says, "I told you so" to me again?
HJ (to Zach): Don't worry, Zach. Jamie and I got this covered. *to Jamie* Right, Jamie?
Jamie: (sighs) Alright, fine.
Zach (to HJ): HJ, how are you and Jamie going to stop Chandler McCann from saying "I told you so" to me?
HJ (to Zach): That's easy. Jamie and I will beat him up.
Zach: WHAT!?
HJ (to Zach): We're not gonna beat him up until he gets an injury, like, for example, a broken bone.
Zach (to HJ): Oh, okay. But why would you and your brother Jamie would beat Chandler?
HJ (to Zach): Because Jamie and I don't want to him to embarrass you.
Jamie (to Zach): And because he doesn't shut up!
Zach (to Jamie): You're right, Jamie, Chandler never shuts up.
Lincoln: Yeah, Chandler does not shut up at all.
Clyde: He's been bullying us since kindergarten.
Lincoln: Sometimes I have to make sacrifices to make deals with him.
Liam: Yeah, I reckon that Chandler would stop bullyin' us right now.
Stella: Yeah, he ruined our Action News stuff at school one time after he gave us his equipment and then he took it back. Still can't believe that we had cruddy equipment for our News team at school before he lent us his own equipment.
HJ: Jamie and I will beat him up in a fight cloud before he can say "I told you so" to Zach. If all the sixth graders notice us beating up Chandler, EPF will create holographic barrier wall in his holographic penguin mode and Tom will carefully use one of Josh's portable memory wipers to wipe the sixth graders' memories so that they will have no memory of Jamie and I beating up Chandler and will continue to listen Zach's speech. Lincoln, Clyde, Zach, Rusty, Liam, and Stella will wear memory-wiping proof glasses while Tom will be wiping the sixth graders' memories. And of course, all the sixth graders will keep all of their other memories. Since Clyde and Zach already wear glasses, EPF will create memory-wiping proof glasses that replicate Clyde and Zach's glasses. And they will fit on their original pairs of glasses. Jamie and I will beat up Chandler halfway through Zach's speech. Everyone got that?
Everyone else in unison: Yes.
