A/N: Yanno when I started this muse I imagined that it'll run at most two chapters www And what chapter we're on now?
And while I don't think I really include the two, I can see Fantasy being either a caracal or a lynx, and if Buffa Maoh actually exist and gets a new buckle, that one's definitely an ox or a tiny bull 😂. But I'm still not planning to include them since those two buckles don't interact with KeiAce much. And the more I thought about it, Magnum and Beat didn't really give me the vibe of being sentient, unlike Boost and Ninja. Zombie is a special case too, cos I can't see it being a bull... but I know it wouldn't get along with the foxes. Why am I thinking abt this too much
Working on two chapters at once... hahaha that'll be fun
Ace and Keiwa sat on a mound overlooking a vast flower field, accompanied by their many pets. Kon and Saru lay asleep on Ace and Keiwa's lap as Kyuu-chan and Kofujin sat next to Keiwa and Ace respectively.
Ace let out a long sigh.
"Ne, Keiwa... is it really alright for you to be here with me?"
Keiwa glanced back at him and rolled his eyes at Ace. "Again with that line of question. I'll ask you back, Ace," he said as Ace turned to face Keiwa.
"What'd you do with yourself if I'm not here? Will you really just remain here until eternity? Won't you be lonely by yourself here?" Keiwa shrugged. "Ace, don't you want to be saved?"
Ace stared back at him, looking grim. "Who said that I didn't want to be saved? But Keiwa, when I saw you trying so hard to save me... it pained me a lot to see you get hurt. And now you're here with me, trapped in this place forever... or until our physical forms break away like it was with my mother—"
"But at least you won't be alone."
Keiwa smiled weakly at him before sighing. "How hard it must have been for Mitsume-san to endure being here all by herself while her life force was slowly being drained away, every time someone had won a DesiGra tournament and had their wish granted as a Desaity? How many of those many wishes were actually even good, how much suffering your mother must have endured all these times?"
"To think that you also would have to face that very same fate alone, I couldn't even imagine—!"
Keiwa would have continued to talk if Ace hadn't grabbed him and held him tight.
"Thank you, Keiwa... for being by my side. And I'm sorry. Also, you're right—" said Ace softly as Keiwa could hear a faint sob coming from the other man.
"—if you haven't been here with me, I would've been so scared. I wouldn't be able to know what to do."
Keiwa started to chuckle. "So aren't you glad that I'm here with you? Both of us will be saved, I'd like to believe that. Tanuki is quite lucky after all..."
"Heeh, oh really?" Ace drawled as he pulled away from Keiwa. "But are you sure that your Tanuki luck is better than my Kitsune luck?" Ace asked back, his usual cheerful demeanour finally returning to him.
Keiwa grinned. "The better question would be... shouldn't the odds be better for us when both of us were together? Tanuki and Kitsune are both lucky creatures after all—"
Ace finally laughed.
"Aren't you being too cheeky with me now, Tycoon?"
Keiwa snorted. "Foxes aren't the only ones who could be mischievous, Geats-chan."
"Tanuki too... can be quite as cunning."
Sara let out a long sigh as she finished washing all of the dishes that needed cleaning. She glanced back towards the rest of the apartment which was still full of things that reminded her of the times spent with her little brother for so many years, yet still hurt to see as well. Most of the mess left from the time she had been 'away' had been sorted out—she couldn't have imagined how devastated Keiwa must have felt back then when she supposedly died—but now she wondered if it was still worth it to keep this place still.
Neon had suggested that Sara move in into the new apartment she recently leased, and she had hesitated back then since Keiwa still lived with her but now—she wondered if she should accept Neon's offer.
It's been several days since all of them found out about the 'God Statues'.
She really didn't know what to do. Was it even possible for them to recover Ace and her brother from the statues alive? If it is... how on earth were they supposed to do that? It's not like the Desire Grand Prix still exists, after all. The only thing left that they can do would be... for them to directly make a wish from the statues to have Ace and Keiwa returned to them. But wouldn't that kind of wish do some kind of harm to both Keiwa and Ace? Was there any other way for them to do it without hurting the very people they want to save? Would it be possible for them to reach out towards Ace and Keiwa's consciousness inside the statues... if they're still somehow alive inside?
What was it they supposed to do? She wanted her baby brother back! The only other close family member that she had left!
"Then, would you make a wish to make it happen? Do you wish for the God Statues to be destroyed?"
Sara let out a gasp before turning around in alarm, but there was no one standing behind her. But she could have sworn that she heard Tsumuri's voice talking to her earlier...
.
"I'm sorry that I didn't believe in all of you..."
For the past few days, he couldn't stop thinking of the time Tycoon had come to his aid after having worn himself out, fighting against Beroba. And Tycoon had said those very same words to him, after exchanging their apologies over past grievances and misdeeds. Yet even then, that person didn't even bother sharing with him about the most important thing.
Why? Was it because despite everything else that had happened... he was still untrustworthy enough? Couldn't Tycoon trust him to even let him know about such an important detail?
"It's not like that—"
Michinaga let out a gasp as he turned around in surprise. He couldn't quite believe what he was seeing—!
It was Tycoon—or an illusion of the guy—standing in front of him, looking the same as how he had last seen the man. Ever since he joined the DesiGra and fought many battles with his trusty Zombie buckle, Michinaga had always been able to see delusions of people who were supposed to have already died while he was still awake. He could even talk to them occasionally. Times he had wondered if this was also a side effect of using the buckle for too long... aside from his seemingly immortal body. With his driver and Zombie buckle gone from this world already, shouldn't the side effects of the Zombie buckle on him disappear as well?
This Tycoon let out a sigh before shrugging at him.
"It's not that I couldn't trust you with the truth... but Ace also wanted you to be able to reach for your happiness. No, BOTH of us do. Yet if you were aware of what was happening to Ace, you probably would sacrifice your own happiness for his sake."
"As you could've almost done, for me."
Michinaga immediately glared at the illusion of Keiwa as he let out a loud growl. "Of course, I'd do that! How could you think that I'd ever accept that kind of happiness that comes at the cost of someone else's sacrifice?"
'Keiwa' just smiled at him. "But didn't you say this to me before? That you 'believed in Geats' world'. So if you really do believe in OUR world, you should also believe that you deserved to receive the kind of happiness you'd yearn for..."
Alarms suddenly shot up his spine as Michinaga noticed how 'Keiwa's' body started to vanish after he finished speaking. "Wait! Tycoon—How am I supposed to get you guys back? That's the reason why you let us find out about you two... right?
'Keiwa' just continued to smile as if he didn't hear what Michinaga had just said. And just like that, the illusion of Keiwa in front of Michinaga disappeared from sight. Leaving behind just two strings of words...
"Believe in us. Believe in the world that Ace and I had created—"
All six of them had gathered at the old garage owned by Win. Because it had been an important place for him and his old band; so after resolving all of the issues he had faced in the past... Win had managed to reacquire the place again for good. Though it'll still be a while before he could restart the band and perform again as the lead vocal of WeatherHearts.
Anyway... after calling the man and informing Win about the strange incident of seeing Keiwa's 'spirit or something, Michinaga ended up hearing that some of the others had also been experiencing odd things lately and was urged to meet up to discuss it together.
So that's how they all end up meeting at the garage...
.
Sara immediately stood up as soon as she heard what happened to Michinaga. "You saw Keiwa? How—is he alright?"
Michinaga shrugged. "I dunno... though he seemed pretty calm. Like he's Tycoon... yet he's not. But I suppose that made sense because like Geats—"
"—he'd be one-half of the God of Creation..." Tsumuri muttered softly to herself, as she tried to recall how she used to be when she had been partially converted into the second Goddess. And she had to admit it herself as well, back then when she and Ace had traded forms... Ace did feel quite different than the Ukiyo Ace she was more familiar with."
"Since we're on the topic, Tsumuri-san—" Neon suddenly spoke out. "Had you been coming over to my place recently?"
Tsumuri shook her head in confusion. "Why, I have not—!"
And then Neon told her that she heard someone asking her if there was any kind of wish that she wanted to make a reality. And the voice sounded exactly like Tsumuri's. And that revelation led to Sara also telling them that she also experienced the same thing, but then when she looked around there was no one behind her.
"Now that was interesting—" said Win eventually as he exchanged glances with Tsumuri. The former DesiGra Game Navigator nodded her head at him.
"This... materialized in front of me without warning this morning..." said Tsumuri before taking out something from her small jacket.
It was a blank Desire Card.
Michinaga stared at Daichi curiously as the latter looked as if he hadn't slept for a month. "What happened to you?" he asked as Daichi just brushed the concern off.
"I've been doing some research. That's all," was the short reply as Michinaga frowned at him.
"Research? On what?" he asked as Daichi rolled his eyes at him.
"I'm trying to look up old legends or tales that might have any connection to the DesiGra in the past—to see if there's anything that can help with our situation. But I got nothing. Did a lot of reading on the old Japanese mythology though... but I'm not sure if anything I've read so far could help."
The youth shrugged. "I've also read folktales that involve youkai and stuff being sealed into stone. And what would've caused those creatures to be released."
"But Ace and Keiwa aren't youkai though—!" Neon argued as Daichi shrugged again.
"And there's no guarantee—" the trio turned towards Sara who spoke, "—that if we broke the God Statues we'd be able to get those two back."
Daichi nodded. "Yeah, that's about right." He sighed.
"But what if... we can somehow try to get those two to attempt to break out of the statues themselves?"
Michinaga frowned. "But how do we do that? Wouldn't you think if it was so simple, those two could've done it already?"
"Maybe because they couldn't—not without some kind of extra help." The four turned around towards Win as the man held out the blank Desire Card in front of them. "Like this nifty little thing..."
.
So the six of them tried to brainstorm what kind of wish they should write into the card that could do the trick. And then Win wrote them down and the wish was recorded on the card, which included all of their names.
And then Win held out the card towards the Fox statue...

Meanwhile, in some other dimension...
Ace smiled widely as he let Keiwa place a flower crown on his head. And then he started giggling happily as Ace took his turn to put another flower crown on Keiwa's head. But just as the two were about to kiss each other, a solemn bell started to ring from a distance.
Both of them glanced up towards the direction the sound came from.
"Did you hear that... Keiwa?"
Keiwa nodded his head. "Unn. I wonder if it's time—"
A/N2: Zombie could be an Oni tbh... like Bero-chan www.
I'd like to point out that time in the pocket universe isn't exactly linear and might not even appear in order, just to make it unpredictable. Also trying to keep up to separate continuation was something that just gonna worsen my perfectionist trait so we'll leave it at that XD.
