"You're doing really well," Edward smiled at me as he took me to the dance floor.

"I don't know," I said.

"Believe me. You're doing amazing," he smiled.

We were at the celebration party for their graduation, and I knew all eyes were on me. I mean, I had been practicing for everything for months now, but I didn't think you could ever be ready to face something like this! There were so many rules to follow! But Edward was on my side all the time, and he was making it a bit easier!

I was finding it really difficult to meet the king's eyes. Every time I looked at him, it felt like he was judging me!

I was also finding it hard to look at Rosalie. She was just... perfect! How could I ever live up to everyone's expectations if she was the 'standard'!

"I'm so proud of you, Isabella," The queen smiled at me once the party was over, "You did a wonderful job today."

"See, I told you!" Edward smiled.

"Thank you," I grinned, "Everyone was very gracious even if I made any mistakes."

"No, you did amazing," she smiled, "Actually, I wanted to invite you for Carlisle's birthday celebration next week. We want to do something big. I mean, it could be his last..." she didn't complete her sentence.

But how would I be able to join them next week?

"Ummm..." I said, "Actually I just started my job, so I don't think I'm going to get any more time-off." I smiled weakly.

"Oh come on!" The queen said, "You are Edward's girlfriend, and it's the king's birthday. Of course, you will get the time off."

She was kidding, right?

"That's not how it works," Edward said.

"But it's your father's birthday, and I want Isabella to be a part of the celebration," she said.

"I'm sorry... I..."

"Mom... She has a job," he said.

"I think you should consider quitting your job," she said, "I mean, you're going to be a princess, and the queen some day. You don't need to do this job."

"Mom..." Edward gave her a stern look, "She will do what she wants to do."

The queen didn't back off. She glared back at him.

"Can I please talk to you later?" she asked him.

"You will find a job in Gevonia," Edward said to me.

"But I feel like everyone will judge me there. I would be the girlfriend of the prince there! I don't think I'd be able to work under that pressure," I said, "Nobody gives a damn about me here. You need to give me five years!" I said.

"A long distance relationship for five years?" he said, "That's too much!"

"Four?" I said, "Come on! I need to pay my student loans. I want to work for some time here. Please give me just four years! I will be all yours after that!"

"Alright, I think that sounds good to me," he said.

Why was I having a feeling that nothing was going to go as per our plans!
