Hold on to me now, you're not invincible
If you let your guard down, I'm not gonna let you fall
Hold on to me now, I'm not invincible
Drowning in self-doubt, can you pull my demons out?

"HARUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHIIIII~~!"

Serena flinched as a blonde tornado flew at Haruhi and Kagome. Before she could blink, the man was on the ground under Kagome with his arm twisted behind his back. Kagome had a fierce look on her face and Haruhi was looking down with a shocked expression.

"T-Tamaki Senpai?"

"You know this guy Haru?", Kagome asked, turning her eyes upward.

"...Unfortunately"

"H-HARUHI HOW CAN YOU TALK TO DADDY LIKE THAT?"

"Daddy?" Kagome narrowed her eyes. This guy must be a pervert. or a stalker. or both. As these thoughts spun around in Kagome's head, she grew increasingly angry. Her grip tightened on the boys' arm and she pressed her knee down harder on his back.

"Haruhi...should I break his arm?" she asked.

"I'd advise against that. Who knows what would happen if you hurt the Chairmans' son?" Kagome turned her head and directed her disgusted gaze at the person who had spoken, a thin young man with dark hair, who was standing next to a tall and broad shouldered young man with dark hair with a young blonde boy on his shoulders. As Kagome observed this group of young men, the two remaining young men caught her eye. Pale skin and amber eyes, framed by auburn hair that made Kagome's eyes soften as they reminded her of her little fox friend. Both of the young men turned bright red as they looked at the beautiful person in front of them, curious as to why the gentle look on this stranger's face was being directed at them. Haruhi sighed, and gestured at these strangers and spoke.

"Kagome, it's okay. Senpai isn't a dangerous person." Haruhi said softly. Kagome released his arm and let him get up, while glaring daggers at the young man who had spoken up for the pervert.

Mina piped up cheerfully, "Is the pervert one of the people you mentioned too?"

"PERVERT?!" the pervert screamed with an exaggerated wounded look on his face. He turned to look at Kagome while cradling the arm she had previously twisted behind him as he continued ranting, "You listen here sir, I don't know why you're standing so close to my little girl, but I won't stand for some mob character defiling my ange-" he was cut of from the rest of his speech at Kagome stepping toward him with an angry look on her face.

As he was talking to Kagome, Haruhi had recalled when Kagome had been explaining to the girls about everything she had been through during their time apart. Kagome had said that she was learning swordplay and martial arts from Sesshomaru, the older brother of the guy they had ran into earlier. Seeing as her hair was tied back and the top of her sarashi was peeking out from top of her shirt, she must have been practicing shortly before the meet up. Dressed the way she was, and with her lean figure, Kagome could easily pass for a very pretty man. She could understand how Tamaki-senpai could have made the mistake, but he was really picking a fight with the wrong person. Before Kagome could approach him any further, Tamaki-senpai attempted to fling himself at Haruhi's feet, but was stopped by a fierce glare from Kagome. He instead withdrew back to his group with a pitiful look on his face as he gazed at Haruhi.

"Yeah Mina, these are the people I was telling you about. They're also attending Ouran." Haruhi looked infinitely annoyed. Haruhi sighed pointed down at the blonde boy who was now crouched on the ground with tears in his eyes. The girls bunched together to get a closer look at the group of boys, curious as to how these rascals convinced their serious and calm friend to play with them. "This guy is Tamaki Suoh, he's our upperclassman at Ouran. He's also the president of the club that I'm in."

"Wait, Suoh at Ouran? Yuzu-tan said his son would be attending, but I didn't know you knew him Haru", Serena spoke up. The blonde boy on the ground flinched, and the dark haired young man with the glasses narrowed his eyes. He examined Serena carefully. Not just anyone could refer to Chairman so casually, and for that someone to be very close to Haruhi, a poor scholarship student? What's more, the young man had never observed these people around Haruhi before, and he had done a thorough background investigation when she had first joined their club. A small smirk appeared on the young mans' face as he thought to himself that he'd found something interesting, making a mental note to find out everything about these people and how they managed to avoid the scope of his investigation. Haruhi caught the look on his face, and reached out to the boy.

"Kyoya-senpai, I can only guess what you're plotting, but can you please not make any trouble for my friends?", she asked.

"Haru-chan, Haru-chan aren't you going to introduce us?", the young blonde asked sweetly.

Before Haruhi could answer, she heard the sound of someone walking towards the group. Suddenly Nina and Tohru lit up and ran towards the person coming towards them with open arms.

"RANKA!", they shouted in happiness as they flung themselves into Haruhi's fathers arms.

"What are you all doing just standing outs-", Ranka's sentence was cut off as his eyes landed on Tamaki who was desperately trying to hide himself behind Kyoya.

"I see, there was an insect buzzing around here bothering you all.", Ranka stated in an irritated voice, with a terse smile on his face. He turned and started to usher Nina and Tohru in and called out to others "Well, let's hurry in now. I'll have to see about getting some insect repellant for you all, they've become so large around here lately." Tamaki flinched with every insult and seemed to be in despair.

Kagome looked at him with disgust before following Ranka, with Mina and Serena in tow, both waving goodbye to the boys in a carefree manner. Haruhi sighed before turning to the boys.

"Tamaki-senpai I'd REALLY appreciate it if you'd stop dragging everyone around and showing up at my house unannounced like this. I'll see you all at school once the new semester starts up." Haruhi turned on her heel and walked off after her father and the girls, leaving Tamaki standing there with a stunned look on his face.

"What the hell just happened?!"

"Sorry about them. They're not bad people, they just get carried away...", Haruhi trailed off with an exhausted expression on her face. The girls had gone up to Haruhi's apartment to settle in for the long discussions that were sure to come. Ranka set tea down for the girls and then leaned against the doorway without saying a word.

"Just say the word Haruhi and I'll pummel that pervert for you", Kagome remarked casually. Mina and Serena busted out laughing at this.

"Are you sure it's okay to just leave them out there like that? That boy looked really upset when we were leaving...", Nina said.

"Senpai will be fine. I've told him before that he shouldn't drag the others around for his shenanigans", Haruhi replied. Serena looked at Haruhi without saying anything. She knew some of Tamaki Suoh's personal situation, bits and pieces she'd picked up from his father over the years. She imagined his childishness would be a good influence for Haruhi, and though she seemed to be exasperated with Tamaki and the rest of those boys, she still smiled while talking about them, and even went as far to defend them.

"So what kind of club are you in with that bunch of hotties anyway?", Mina asked. Haruhi immediately brought her cup to her mouth and averted her eyes. Mina's eyes sparkled as she realized that Haruhi was trying to avoid the question. Unlike the other girls, Mina was definitely interested - she could sense that whatever Haruhi had going on with those guys was bound to be super fun. Haruhi groaned, seeing the look on Mina's face. She set her cup down and leaned back, and took a deep breath before she launched into her story with the Host Club. She explained the circumstances under which she met them, the debt she incurred and all their adventures since. Nina and Tohru seemed surprised, Mina amused, and Kagome disgusted as the story went on. When Haruhi got towards the end of her explanation, she noticed the look on Kagome's face and went to address it.

"I know it sounds a little shady, but they really aren't dangerous people. And honestly, I've even had fun with them at times. They have way more energy than I know how to deal with sometimes, but...I can't imagine my time at Ouran without them anymore. I had hoped to introduce you guys once the semester started up, but it seems they had plans to bug me over the break too." Kagome stared at Haruhi as she spoke, scrutinizing her face for any signs of distress. However, even though Haruhi seemed annoyed at some of the explanation, she couldn't deny that Haruhi also had a playfulness in her expression that she didn't normally show with people outside their circle. While Kagome was contemplating, Tohru had reached across the table and taken Haruhi's hand in hers.

"It sounds like you made some wonderful friends.", she said gently. Haruhi smiled and nodded at Tohru, squeezing her hand in return. At this interaction, Kagome had no choice but to shrug off most of her irritation and try to be accepting of Haruhi's new friends. She could always smack that pervert around if crossed the line anyway. Grinning, she wrapped her arm around Haruhi's shoulder.

"Well, I guess we just have to make sure they're taking care of our little 'Haru-chan' huh?", she said teasingly. Haruhi shot her an annoyed look briefly, before bursting into laughter. The girls joined in the laughter, Ranka looking over them with a happy smile on her face.

"Ah that's right!", Haruhi said as the laughter settled, "Didn't you have something to talk to us about Dad?" The girls all turned their eyes up to Ranka, who had a thoughtful expression on his face. Ranka thought for a moment, then sat down with the girls. With the next sentence, almost every girl in the room was left with a shocked expression on their face.

I'm SO sorry for such a long break. It's been a busy few years for me, with a few health issues popping up and getting married. 3 I can't really promise much consistency in posting, but I will definitely keep writing on this. Thank you for reading!
