Here's chapter 4 everybody! Hope you're excited for it! Our BOI is gonna learn the Remnant lifestyle and his mind is gonna be blown by all the modern technology.

I want to apologise for the long wait for this chapter, I mentioned in the last chapter about my procrastination tendencies and I just get so deep into it that it gets hard for me to continue writing and plan out specific scenes in the story, and it might happen again for each chapter. So again, I am sorry that it has taken so long to update.

I know that some of you are worried that I'm going to nerf everyone, but it's not my intention I just want to make the characters strengths accurate to what was seen in the game, like I know Atreus is strong (not Kratos strong) but I don't know how strong. He is still a kid after all and I'm pretty sure that the heaviest he could lift or move would be that piece of Asgard's wall that nearly crushed him and Kratos during Ragnarök. Maybe. I might make him stronger in this fic since his godly powers grew for a year.

But I'm definitely gonna make Kratos, Freya and others OP, cus' the main man is the fucking god of war, and we all know how he can mess some bitch's up.

I may write one more chapter after this one about Atreus' time on Patch and then start off volume 1, also I have to tell you all, since playing Jedi Survivor, my mind has been preoccupied with the need to write a Star Wars fic with Cal Kestis and crew, but then I thought 'why not make a Mace Windu x RWBY crossover? Or Qui Gon Jinn? Or Plo Koon?' And I can't stop thinking about it! I want to make a crossover involving one of the members of the Jedi Council, If anyone's interested in the ideas let me know.

Now then! On with the show!

I do not own RWBY or God of War, they all belong to their respective creators. RWBY is owned by Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum may he rest in peace, and God of War is owned by Santa Monica Studio.

Yang could remember all the times when her dad took her and Ruby to Radley's Pizzeria whenever they had a special occasion or decided to get takeout growing up, and now they can show a god the specialty of pizza!

"Here we are! The greatest pizza joint on Remnant. You're gonna love the pizza pies they have to serve, Atreus." She said. They stood just outside of the establishment as the old red neon sign shined brightly when the sun started to set.

The young archer lifted an eyebrow in confusion, "They make pies as well? That's quite a menu range."

Yang's dad chuckled lightly at the boy's misunderstanding, "No, Atreus, they don't. 'Pizza pies' is just an expression, the full phrase would be 'Now that's a tasty pizza pie!'" He said, in an exaggerated Mistralian accent. It elicited laughter out of her sister and herself as they entered the restaurant.

The restaurant walls were coloured in a deep maroon red with white cornices and square columns, and there were square tables and booths with a few vacant seats. They sat down in a corner booth and looked at the menu's. The blonde girl looked up from her menu pamphlet to see if Atreus needed any help with understanding the words on his pamphlet, seeing as he is from whole different dimension. But to her surprise, the other-worldly boy didn't seem to have any trouble with reading what's on there.

"Uh, Atreus? Are you... reading what's on the menu?" The blonde brawler asked.

"Oh, uh yeah, I forgot to mention one other of my abilities. I can understand certain languages that I haven't read or heard before; there's an interconnectedness of languages that help me feel my way through stuff that I shouldn't know, ya know?" He explained.

Ruby's eyes were full of stars at hearing the young god's words, "So you're saying that you can translate anything?! That's so cool! You can just pick up any old text and read it like it was nothing! Oh, there are some old languages on Remnant that you could help translate for us! I've been meaning to learn old Valeian for a while but it was really hard to get a good grasp of the characters, do you think you could help me learn it some time?" She excitedly asked, while getting awfully close to the boy.

Yang would have made it a great opportunity to tease her little sister about invading Atreus' personal space if it weren't for the fact that she too was amazed by the newly mentioned ability.

"Uh, sure." The young god answered awkwardly, seemingly not used to being this close to girl, Yang thought. "So, uh... I was wondering, if no one can use magic then how could professor Goodwitch do the things that Brok described in his story?" He said, looking to change the subject as he straightened himself in his seat. Was he talking about miss Goodwitch's Semblance?

"Oh, you mean her Semblance?" Her father said, answering the archer, "I guess that's another thing you don't have in the nine realms. Weird, anyway, a Semblance is basically a power that represents our personalities in whatever shape or form. And our Semblance is generated by our Aura, which is the manifestation of the soul." He paused as to let Atreus absorb the information before continuing.

"Now, none of it is magic really, everyone can unlock their Aura or Semblance through... stressful requirements so to speak. Aura can also be used as a form of protection, like a second layer of skin, but if you take too many hits or use your Semblance too much then your Aura will shatter and you'll be in a world of trouble." He finished explaining to the boy archer, who bore a contemplative look.

It was still really weird for Yang that there were other dimensions that had real gods, some that lived among mortals. And the concept of no Aura in any of these nine realms was... actually kind of disturbing. No soul barrier to protect you from any attack or to heal any wounds that may get infected later if not treated. You either had to fight like your life depended on it or... or you die. Arrg! She shouldn't be thinking about that depressing stuff, they came here to eat pizza and so that's what they should be doing! Yang put her attention back on her menu pamphlet and looked through her options.

Margarita? Nope.

Vegan? Not in a million years.

Meat lovers? Tempting, but not in the mood.

Pepperoni? Yeah, why not? Nothing beats the classics

"Hi there, are you all ready for your orders?" The waitress asked, note pad in hand. They addressed their orders to the woman, her dad was gonna share with Yang's pizza, which she didn't mind, as he also felt like having Pepperoni. Ruby wanted half and half of Vegetarian Pizza and ham and cheese, and Atreus asked for a Menagerian Pizza. The waitress thanked them and told them it would only take a few minutes before she left.

Yang had a thought pop into her head that needed input from her new god friend, "Hey, Atreus? Those clothes you have, are they... the only ones you have?" She asked, a little worried that the leather armour he wore was the only thing he slept in, since as he told them that he's been on his quest to find his kind for over a year. And if so, then he was in serious need to get new clothes.

The boy looked down at himself and then back at her, "Yeah, why?" And like that three pairs of eyes were fixed on him. Yep, he needed to have wardrobe saved.

"Well you'll need a new variety of clothes for starters, don't want you to stay in just that archer suit. We'll have to get you some new ones tomorrow. Stores around Patch will be closing by now, so I doubt we'll find clothing stores open in the middle of the night." Her father suggested.

Atreus however, didn't seem to follow the idea, "I don't see why I need other clothes, I can just clean my suit if it gets dirty. It's no problem." He casually said.

"Dude, it is a problem, you can't just stay in one outfit for the rest of your life, you gotta have style!" The blonde girl argued, "And plus, you don't really intend to sleep in a bed still wearing that armour, right?" When he didn't respond Yang became concerned, "Right?"

Atreus just looked away and lightly coughed, confirming Yang's suspicions much to everyone's dismay.

"Atreus! You would seriously sleep in clothes that you have worn for an entire day, that you sweat in? That's just so gross!" Ruby said, greatly disgusted by the mere thought of wearing clothing that has been soaked in sweat. And her sister could agree with that, didn't the people of the nine realms wear pyjamas?

They then went into an in-depth discussion of the importance of hygiene, when they asked about the amount of times the boy bathed, they were shocked to hear that it was once a week. HOLY SHIT how was this guy even ok right now?! It almost made Yang gag, if she and Ruby was going to Beacon with Atreus, they'd need to drill the habit of showing daily in his head cus' she wouldn't stand anywhere near the young god if he was not properly clean.

After a while of trying to convince him to take better care of his bodily health, they decided to conclude their conversation until another time when their food had arrived. One Pepperoni, one half and half, and one Menagerian. Atreus looked at his meal and seemed confused, "What are these yellow bits on here?" He asked with a quirked brow.

He didn't know what pineapple was? Huh, the more you know. "That's pineapple, it's a type of fruit that grow in tropical areas, they're delicious and juicy. I'm sure you'll like it, even with the ham on your pizza." Yang's father said.

Atreus picked up a slice and inspected it curiously before taking a bite. Strangely the Jötun froze in place, his eyes were wide as the pizza slice was still in front of his face. He then quickly swallowed and began devouring the rest of the slice and went through another one.

"Thish is sho good!" He said, after finishing a third slice.

Yang had a small smile as she placed her hand under her chin, while her dad was scolding the mischievous god for eating too fast and talking while his mouth was full, she found it very amusing how a god enjoyed eating pizza like there was no tomorrow. Things were gonna get really interesting in the future.

AtlasAcademy, Headmaster's/General's office

Things were certainly becoming very interesting. The general of Atlas was looking out of his office window while wearing a contemplative look on his face. Just 40 minutes ago he got a call from his old friend and fellow headmaster, Ozpin, about a new update in events. Apparently a new god appeared on the island of Patch, off the West coast of Vale, and has made contact with a family of one of Ozpin's former agents. When James asked for a description the newly discovered being, he was surprised to learn that the god was a 15 year old boy and was from the same world as the other two individuals that the Beacon headmaster met.

Ironwood wanted to know if there was anything that Ozpin learned from the boy, any purpose as to why he was here, how he came here, what he's capable of. He was told that he only had a peaceful conversation with this Atreus Laufeyson and he was of no threat to anyone. The General was disappointed that his old friend still lacked the caution that was required in events like this, they needed to be absolutely certain if these gods were not Salem's pawns attempting to deceive them. But of course, James trusted his group's leader, as Ozpin told the General that he sensed the same type of aura and magic that the Brother Gods gave off when he met the Vanir god Freyr and the Dwarven blacksmith Brok.

When James pressed if the first two 'travellers' have gotten comfortable enough after the past 4 months for a meeting to be arranged, he was insisted to wait a little longer until Atreus fully caught up with his friends. The Atlesian begrudgingly complied, he wished that he could see these gods for himself and determine what their intentions were. Admittedly, he was sceptical at first, given that how Ozpin explained that the gods (back before the old wizard was cursed) very rarely involved themselves in mortal affairs, and he trusted Oz's word on it.

But when Theodore reported that a man with a flying sword was brought in due to causing a disturbance, the Vacuin equivalent, the Shade Academy Headmaster reported that the stranger was rambling on about 'the nine realms' and 'Ragnarök', eventually coming to the point of revealing himself as a god. The General scoffed at the delusional claim and just thought the man insane, until Theodore sent video files of this 'god' performing an absolute miracle of growing actual vegetation and crops from soil that could not possibly yield plantlike growth in a harsh environment like Vacuo, and James was forced to believe in something impossible again. If these individuals were genuine gods, then what were they doing here on Remnant? Oz mentioned that Brok and Freyr remembered dying before they arrived, one of them before and the other during a catastrophic event called 'Ragnarök', they didn't know how they were alive again but only knew they were falling out of the sky.

He somewhat understood, of course, that one needs to process the fact they died and were living again, Ozpin would know from experience through reincarnating over the years. He was aware his colleagues called him paranoid and rash in his decisions, but James has always done what he thought was best so he only wants to be sure that they were not inviting enemies onto their world. Ever since he was brought into Oz's secret group and told of the many hidden truths of Remnant, the good general's sense of normalcy was flipped over on itself. The truth of a witch controlling the Grimm and the actual existence of the Brother Gods were enough to shake his core, the once ordinary world he had understood was no longer understandable.

Ozpin had explained his curse of reincarnation and how the gods tasked him with the mission to stop the apparent Queen of the Grimm, Salem, he told James all of this because he needed allies to trust with the protection of the Relics. Creation, Destruction, Knowledge, Choice, each Relic are powerful enough when brought together to allow the one who has them to rule the world, which to keep from happening were sealed beneath each of the Huntsman academies, kept behind unbreachable Vaults that can only be unlocked by a specific Maiden of the four seasons. Ironwood knew the responsibility of fighting against an enemy who had command over the monsters of Remnant was a greater challenge than the word implied, not to mention having to work in secret to counter against any of Salem's pawns that attacked them. But he didn't let this burden wither his determination to protect Remnant as a whole. But, it didn't mean that there were times where the stress didn't weigh him down in certain situations.

He rubbed the temples of his forehead with his right hand, the events of the attack on the Fall Maiden, Fria's condition worsening, and now gods descending from the sky, it was all straining for his mind to handle.

Hearing a distant rumbling, Ironwood looked out his window again to see thunder clouds forming far out in the tundra, it wasn't close enough for it to give him concern so he payed it no mind. Moving to his desk and sitting in his chair, he sighed as he got himself back into work mode, "Well, hopefully Oz knows what he's doing."

Man, that tasted so good. Where in the nine realms has it been his whole life! Atreus could still taste the delicious, savoury dish on his tongue, now he regretted not eating more slowly, and now he could picture father scolding him for rush eating like that and Mimir having a laugh. The cheese was sweet and the sauce was sooo savoury, and the ham with the pineapple together was so good like Taiyang said it would be. After paying for the pizzas, the group made their way back to the Xiao Long-Rose household, they entered what Atreus was informed of was called a car, a technological form of land transportation that they used to get to town earlier.

It was certainly better than the carts in Svartalfheim as cars weren't attached to rails and could be stopped at any time. Though they were still prone, if not more susceptible to attacks from enemies.

The Champion of the Jötnar was also amazed at the fact that there were flying metal vehicles as well, the ingenuity of Remnant was just more incredible with each new discovery. All these things that the people of this realm can do with the use of Dust defied magic like for instance, a device called a 'Scroll' could allow one to talk to someone else on the other side of the world, and it's ability to capture moments in the form of a picture, with all the details of the environment in said picture. It would put all artisans out of business, and that may as well include him!

Truly, the young Jötun found it impossible to stop being entranced with the wonders of the mysterious new realm. And to prove that, he only had to look up at the sky, and stare at the sight of something that forced his thoughts to come to a halt.

"The moon... it's... broken?" What he saw couldn't possibly be real, up there hanging in dark sky with twinkling stars, Hati's moon was partially shattered. It completely shocked Atreus, there was just no way, it's impossible! "Guys? Why the moon is broken?" He said, his voice sounding nervous, he secretly hoped that whatever answer the three had would ease him down.

"The moon? It's always been like that." Yang confusingly said plainly as though it were a completely normal thing to say, and it did not make him feel calm!

"B-but it's... it's not supposed to be like that! The moon's meant to be whole, not... shattered. How... what could have done this?" The boy despairingly said, confusion taking over at the whole situation. He could understand the moon being stolen from the sky like how Heimdall did, but this was not right!

"Wait, you saying that the moon is whole in the nine realms? Ok now that seems a little far fetched." Yang said, skepticism marking her face. Seriously! Now she chooses to have doubts?

"So you believe I'm a god, but you're dismissive about my claims on the moon I've known for my whole life?" Loki deadpans at the blonde girl. "It's just... seeing it like this is just... unbelievable. Like Hati finally caught up to his prey and took a chunk out of it." And wasn't that a weird image to picture, in fact it unnerved him to imagine the whole moon being consumed leaving only the sun to remain forever in the sky above.

"Hottie? That's the space wolf that chases the moon right? And Skull's the one that chases the sun?" Ruby asked with an contemplative expression.

The boy chuckled lightly at the red themed girl's confusion of the wolves' names, "It's pronounced 'Hati' and 'Sköll', but yes, they're the celestial wolves that chase the sun and moon." He gazed back at the broken body of the moon as if waiting for any illusion to come undone, but alas, after watching the celestial body for what felt like an eternity nothing had changed, still hovering in the dark sky, still shattered.

The group eventually arrived back at the house, and Atreus had managed to tear his eyes away from the moon and pay attention to the steps of the porch so he wouldn't trip. Upon entering the home, the family was approached and welcomed back by the small pet dog, Zwei if Atreus was remembering correctly, was quite an energetic breed of dog that the boy was informed was a corgi, Atreus took a great liking to the family pet as Zwei reminded him of Fenrir, that and he was incredibly adorable. The father of the two sisters went into the kitchen while said sisters plot down on the couch, he gave the dog a few pats on his head and went over to sit with the others.

"So, back at the pizza place, when we were talking about Aura and Semblances I wanted to ask if you had a Semblance." He was still curious about this whole 'soul magic' stuff, he even wondered if he could use Aura.

"We sure do! My Semblance turns me into a cloud of rose petals and let's me go super fast, it helps me when I want to get some breathing room or to catch the bad guys off guard." She proudly explained, "Yang's allows her to get stronger with every hit she takes, and when she gets close to her Aura running out she dishes back twice the damage she got. Dad also a really awesome Semblance that allows him to sense how dangerous someone or something is, it can also tell him what direction an attack is coming from. An Aura and Semblance are the best tools for all Huntsmen and Huntresses, especially us since we'll be going to Beacon Academy. Cool, huh?" The red themed girl enthusiastically said. She was right, it is cool! Abilities like those are amazing, Taiyang said that all Semblances were different in variety for other people, if he had a Semblance, what would it be?

"Say, Atreus?" Taiyang started, as he entered the living room with a glass of water, gaining the young god's attention, "Didn't you say that the moon in your world got stolen by Odin? Like, h-how does that even happen?"

Here we go again. "I told you before, like two times, Odin had Heimdall use a magical artefact, which he got when me, him, and a friend of mine were in Helheim, and trap the moon in Vanaheim, forcing the celestial wolves to the realm's earth. Am I going to have to explain the same story, over and over again?" He asked with a slight teasing in his voice.

"Well excuse me for trying to wrap my head around how a moon, which millions of miles away, could be stuffed inside a tiny little box." The former Huntsman said, though there was no indication of frustration in his tone, only amusement as he had a grin marking his face.

•••

As he dressed himself in a white T-shirt and red checkered pyjama pants after getting out of the shower, Atreus laid down his Fate Breaker armour in the draws and set his Talon bow and quiver by the bedside table. A knock sounded out and The Champion of the Jötnar opened the guest room door to see Taiyang and his broad smile. "Hey bud, you settled in ok?"

"Yeah, thanks, it really means a lot for letting me stay here. I'll be sure to pay you back sometime for this." And he meant it, it wouldn't feel right to be given all of this hospitality and not return the favour. After all, he learned that lesson when Sindri lost Brok. Atreus was not going to make the same mistake twice.

The older man snorted, "Nah, you don't owe me anything, it's only right to look out for people who need help when they're in a bind. And besides..." He trailed off as he had a serious look in his eyes but still retained his smile, "You can always return the favour by slaying a couple of Grimm while you're in Remnant." Loki still had a hard time with remembering that this realm's Grimm are not the same Grim that he was used to in the nine realms, he really needed to make it a habit not to forget the differences.

"You can count on that, I won't let any of them cause any trouble for anybody, god's promise." The young giant quipped.

Taiyang laughed at that for a moment before leaving the young teen to go to bed, wishing Atreus a good night.

The boy closed the door, went over to turn off the night stand lamp and finally tucked himself into the bed, closing his eyes and letting his consciousness slip away.

Somewhere in Mistral

It hurt.

His stump hurt.

His body hurt.

He has been in pain like this for so long now, he wouldn't admit to anyone that he hasn't gotten used to the pain due to not experiencing it for millennia, he would kill any fool who dared to pity him for his plight. He didn't know where he was or how he got here, looked like some random forest of Vanaheim, but he didn't care all that much about that.

He didn't know how long he had been walking for, travelling through the woods he found himself in for hours most likely but he didn't care for that.

The only thing he cared to think about, the only thing he cared to focus on, was the seething, burning anger and hatred for the bald, empty-headed fucker that took his life! And just for him! That insolent half-breed, FUCKING RUNT IS TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING THAT WENT WRONG FOR HIM-

A sudden gust of wind fluttered his cloak, pulling on it so as to hide his missing arm. Even though there was no one around to see it, he didn't want to see it, his mind felt like it was being ripped apart every time he looked at it. His wounds and missing limb were a constant reminder of the failure that sealed his fate.

Was this... a punishment? From the All-Father?

If so, then it would explain why Odin hasn't been answering his calls to return to Asgard. But... No! No! No, the All-father would never have punished him for dying at the hands of that pale old bastard. Let alone being punished for wanting to kill that half-breed, it laughable, he would never let himself begin to doubt the All-Knowing Odin. All he needs to do is find the little shit and his father and make them both suffer nice and slow.

The clattering of wood grabbed the Wanderer's attention, raising his head a little so that the hood was still covering his face, he found himself in what appeared to be a deserted destroyed town. Perhaps he wasn't in Vanaheim, the houses were too Midgardian to be made by savages.

At that moment, the Wanderer's stomach decided to groan, scowling at his hunger, he went down the street on his right in hopes of finding food.

His violet bifrost eyes scanned over the buildings that could potentially house anything appetising for him. Unfortunately there was nothing to be revealed as food, growling in frustration he was about to turn around and go the other direction until-

"Jeez, there's nothing in this place as well. Why the hell did the damn scouting party have to take all the good stuff? Don't they know that the rest of the tribe wants a piece of the spoils? Assholes."

"Would you shut up, I've been hearing you complain for hours now and it's really starting to real fucking annoying. We've still got plenty of other houses to check out so shut your trap and-"

The two strangers, raiders most likely from the way they're dressed and talking, entered the street that he was in and stopped when they saw him. Their intentions spoke for themselves, thieves, murderers, bandits, the one on the right was the man complaining and the other on the left was a woman. Maybe they can help him out with his troubles.

"Well now, ain't this my lucky day. Two ally rats scrounging around for leftovers from their brethren." He lifted his hood as he spoke, revealing his braided blond hair and his glowing bifrost eyes to the pathetic miscreants that were given the pleasure to be in his presence. "Now then, why don't over whatever food you have and tell me a bit about where I am, hm?" He smiled, showing off his golden teeth that he had planted on his real one's, they were given the display of a true being of worship and all should be grateful for presenting them-

"Pffft, Hahahaha, you hear that? Gold teeth over here is asking for our food! Hahaha!" The woman mocked as she started holding her sides from intense laughter and her partner joined her.

They're... laughing? At him?

Suddenly his smile was gone and he started clenching his teeth. After their laughing fit ended as soon as it came, the whiny man approached with a dagger withdrawn from his belt.

"Alright pretty boy, let's make this nice and simple, we're part of the Branwen tribe so everything we say goes. You don't make demands of us, we make demands of you, got me?" He sneered as he held the knife in front of the Wanderer's face. Did they not know who he is? What he is?!

With swift lightning speed, he kicked the bandit so hard that he crashed into a house's wall with his chest caved in, dead before he hit the wall.

The woman, not realising what happened, slowly turned to see her partner lying deathly still in the wall. When her mind caught up to her however, she turned back to be face to face with the one she had just made fun of. But before she could even react, the violet eyed man raised his leg again and kicked her left knee in, causing her to scream out in pain as fell on the ground.

"You insolent rats dare look down on me? Your better?! I am Heimdall! The Watchman of the Æsir! And you, a mortal, have the gall to treat me like a commoner and laugh at me?! I. Am. A. God!" He shouted with absolute fury as Heimdall pressed his boot onto the woman's arm, making a crushing noise.

As she screamed in pure agony, she whipped something out of her belt and pointed it at him, seeing what was coming a mile away, the Watchman caught the little projectile that came out of the foreign contraption and then snatched that as well.

"My, isn't this a funny little device, almost like a crossbow. But, not important right now. What is important is what will I do with you?" The god said, in a menacingly calm manner as he stared into the woman's terror filled eyes, until a sickening idea popped into his head that he would no doubt derive pleasure in. "Ah, I have an idea, how about I take from you... your dignity?"

The night was then filled with more screams of horror and despair, as well as begging for anyone to save a defenceless woman in a town destroyed by her own tribe.

Yikes, yeah so, Heimdall's back and pissed about his death. And the first two people he came across in Remnant he killed and... you know.

I'd like to apologise again for taking so long to complete this chapter, my will to write keeps getting drained quickly and I've been proofreading a lot so I that I get each of the chapters perfect and don't use the characters names so repetitively. And I also have so many other stories from other genres that I want write down on here but don't want to abandon this, these are tough times.

I really liked coming up with Taiyang's Semblance since we still haven't seen it yet and I really hope we do get to see it V10 cus' the guy was Huntsman before he retired so he had to have a Semblance since then. Also since there is no Hawaii in Remnant I decided to go with the substitute which of course is Menagerie to make ham and pineapple pizza, I don't like pineapple on pizza myself but I added it in here for the sake of it.

Anyway, before I finish up here, I want to tell you guys that I'm planning on introducing in the next chapter someone from Greece into the world of Remnant besides Kratos! Surprise! But I'm having trouble deciding three certain people if you can guess who they are. I want to add all three but that would be too greedy wouldn't it. Hmm, welp! I'll figure it out and keep you all guessing until next time fellow readers.
