Once everyone entered Zapapico, they, except for Lincoln, Lynn, and Ronnie Anne who were walking, exit the Starmobile, and head for the town's "Every 'Wich Way's" restaurant and have some dinner.
"So, are we going to take on that Team Star base in the Tagtree Thicket tomorrow?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah." said Stan. "We did promise Cassiopeia that we would."
"Indeed." said Edd.
"What kind of Pokemon do that Team Star crew use?" asked Kyle. Edd looks at his map of Team Star bases and looks up the one in Tagtree Thicket.
"This says that the Team Star crew there is called the Poison Crew, so I assume that they use poison types." said Edd.
"We should think about what Pokemon we should use against them for a while." said Stan.
"Good call." said Kenny.
"I know that poison types are vulnerable to ground type, and psychic type moves." said Lincoln. "But the only Pokemon I got with one of those types of moves is my Pawmot's Dig attack."
"Don't worry, dude." said Stan. "I got my Sandygast."
"I have my Flittle and my Donphan." said Kyle.
"I have Pupitar with me." said Cartman.
"I got my Clodsire" said Kenny.
"And I suppose since my Skeledirge is part ghost type; he can handle poison type moves." said Lincoln.
"And I do have my Naclstack, and my Bronzor." said Edd.
"A Bronzor would definitely have an advantage against poison type Pokemon." said Lincoln. "Steel types are immune to poison type moves."
"Precisely." said Edd.
"Don't worry, dudes. You all got this." said Luna.
"Totes." said Leni. After everyone finishes eating, they all decide to take a quick tour of Zapapico before looking for a place to sleep for the night. Butters takes out his Charcadet's pokeball and releases him from it.
"Why are you letting out Charcadet, Butters?" asked Lana.
"Just wanted to give the little guy some exercise." said Butters.
"Good call." said Lynn Jr. "Exercise is good if you want to become strong."
"Maybe we should all let our Pokemon out for a while." suggested Edd.
"Yeah." said Ed as he lets all his Pokemon out of their pokeballs; followed by everyone else. They all continued to walk around Zapapico when they heard someone calling out to them.
"Excuse me." The group looked to see a man standing near a fountain, waving to them. The man points at Butters' Charcadet. "Does that Charcadet belong to anyone?"
"Yes, sir, he's mine." said Butters. "Is there a problem?"
"Not at all. It's just that I have an interesting relic called Auspicious Armor if you're interested." replied the man.
"What does it do?" asked Butters.
"If you put Auspicious Armor on a Charcadet, it will evolve." replied the man.
"Wow, really?!" asked Butters. "How much for one?"
"I'm a fan of Bronzors." said the man. "If you have ten Bronzor Fragments, I'll trade you them for the Auspicious Armor." Butters takes off his backpack and rummages through it.
"I had a feeling I needed to save the Bronzor fragments I got." said Butters. He pulls out a large handful of Bronzor Fragments. "I have eleven of them, sir."
"Ten is all I want." said the man. He takes them and reaches into his backpack, then pulls out what appeared to be a knights chestplate. "Here you go, young man." He gives Butters the armor. "Just put that on your Charcadet and it will evolve."
"Thank you, sir." said Butters, happily. He turned towards Charcadet. "You want to evolve, Charcadet?" Charcadet nods in response and raises his arms. Butters slides the Auspicious Armor onto Charcadet and he begins to glow. "Oh boy!" Everyone watched as Charcadet began to grow. The glowing soon stopped, revealing Charcadet to be taller, his head flame was bigger, and was wearing a golden chestplate and shoulder plates. Butters looked at his newly evolved Charcadet with a stunned look on his face while pulling out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Charcadet.
"Armarouge, the Fire Warrior Pokemon and the evolved form of Charcadet. Armarouge evolved through the use of a set of armor that belonged to a distinguished warrior. This Pokémon is incredibly loyal." said Butters' Rotom Phone. Edd points his Rotom Phone at Armarogue.
"Armarogue, the Fire Warrior Pokemon, and the evolved form of Charcadet. This Pokémon clads itself in armor that has been fortified by psychic and fire energy, and it shoots blazing fireballs." said Edd's Rotom Phone.
"Sweet!" said Kyle.
"He looks so cool!" said Lana. Butters looks at his new Armarogue's data on his Rotom Phone.
"This says my new Armarogue is part psychic type now, and he knows Mystical Fire and Psyshock now." said Butters.
"Cool." said Kenny. Everyone looks around for a while before coming across an outdoor battle area where some trainers were hanging out. As the group approached it, they hear a voice call out.
"Hey! Would any of you Naranja Academy students want to battle with me?" the voice asked. They look around and see a young girl with tan skin, shoulder-length, light brown hair, wearing a Uva Academy uniform, standing at one end of the battle area.
"You talking to us?" asked Stan.
"Yeah." said the girl. "I want to see how good a Naranja Academy student is. I know that white-haired cutie is pretty strong from his battle with Eddy a few days ago." Lincoln's sisters giggle when they hear the girl call Lincoln 'cutie.'
"I'll battle with you." said Stan. He then walks to the other side of the battle arena and looks in the girl's direction.
"Okay then; let's get started." said the girl as she takes out a pokeball and throws it, releasing a Pokemon that looked like three large Digletts clumped together. Stan takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Dugtrio, the Mole Pokemon, and the evolved form of Diglett. Its three heads bob separately up and down to loosen the soil nearby, making it easier for it to burrow." said Stan's Rotom Phone. Edd decides to see what his Rotom Phone has to say about Dugtrio.
"Dugtrio, the Mole Pokemon, and the evolved form of Diglett. In battle, it digs through the ground and strikes the unsuspecting foe from an unexpected direction." said Edd's Rotom Phone.
"Let's do this, Bramblin!" Stan calls out to Bramblin who then rolls out onto the battlefield.
"Dugtrio, use Sucker Punch!" said the girl.
"Bramblin, use Defense Curl!" said Stan. Bramblin curls up further into a ball and starts to glow, increasing his defense. However, Dugtrio's Sucker Punch doesn't work.
"What's wrong? Why didn't Sucker Punch work?" asked the girl.
"Sucker Punch only works if the Pokemon it's targeting is going to use a move that damages its target. Since Bramblin used a move that wasn't going to hurt Dugtrio, Sucker Punch didn't activate." explained Lincoln from the sidelines.
"I see you're as smart as you are cute." said the girl as she winks at Lincoln, making him blush, and Ronnie Anne glare at her.
"Now here's a move that'll damage Dugtrio." said Stan. "Bramblin, use Bullet Seed!" Bramblin releases a barrage of seeds from her body that hits Dugtrio, doing super effective damage.
"Dugtrio, use Slash!" said the girl. Dugtrio releases a wave of energy blades from its body at Bramblin, but they go right through her.
"Ha, ha." said Stan. "Bramblin's part ghost type, so normal type moves like that won't work against her. Bramblin, finish this with Mega Drain!" Bramblin releases a large stream of green energy from her body which hits Dugtrio, doing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"NOOO!" shouts the girl.
"Way to go, Bramblin!" said Stan. Bramblin does an eye smile in response to Stan's praise. The girl returns her Dugtrio to its pokeball. She then walks over to Stan and gives him some pokedollars. As he counts it, he sees a folded-up small piece of paper inside it.
"Give that to your white-haired friend." said the girl before she walks off towards the Pokemon Center. Stan and Bramblin head over to where the others were.
"That was an awesome battle." said Lincoln. Stan then hands the folded-up paper to him.
"That girl wanted me to give that to you." said Stan. Lincoln unfolds it and sees what appears to be the girl's Rotom Phone number.
"Looks like my little minnow has another admirer." said Leonard, making Lincoln's sisters squeal with delight. Ronnie Anne quickly snatches the paper from Lincoln's hand and rips it to little pieces.
"Nie-Nie!" said Bobby.
"Let's just look for a place to sleep for the night." said Ronnie Anne. As they looked for a motel, Stan noticed that Bramblin was looking a little shaky.
"You okay, Bramblin?" asked Stan.
"I don't see what's wrong with her." said Kyle. "She didn't take any damage from that battle she just had." Stan got his answer when Bramblin started to glow.
"Stan! Bramblin's evolving." said Kenny. Everyone watches as Bramblin starts to change. When she was done, she was bigger, her body was opened a bit more and had longer, sharper barbs on it, and around her seed eyes were thorny vines. Stan takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at his newly evolved Bramblin.
"Brambleghast, the Tumbleweed Pokemon, and the evolved form of Bramblin. It will open the branches of its head to envelop its prey. Once it absorbs all the life energy it needs, it expels the prey and discards it." said Stan's Rotom Phone.
"Wicked." said Lucy. Edd points his Rotom Phone at Brambleghast to see what it had to say about her.
"Brambleghast, the Tumbleweed Pokemon, and the evolved form of Bramblin. Brambleghast wanders around arid regions. On rare occasions, mass outbreaks of these Pokémon will bury an entire town." said Edd's Rotom Phone.
"Congratulations, Stan." said Edd.
"Thanks, dude." said Stan. Everyone decides to return all their Pokemon to their pokeballs. After a minute, they find a motel and check into it. Later that night, Ronnie Anne had a hard time falling asleep and decides to go out for a walk. She leaves town and brings out her Rockruff for some training.
"Hey, Ronnie Anne." Lucy says from behind Ronnie Anne, scaring her.
"Lucy?! Why are you out at this hour?" asked Ronnie Anne. Lucy just gives her a blank look. Ronnie Anne then realized who she's talking to and decides not to question it further.
"Couldn't sleep?" asked Lucy.
"Not really." said Ronnie Anne.
"Another girl liking Lincoln bothering you?" asked Lucy. Ronnie Anne blushes in response. "I'm going to look around. I think Kenny mentioned ghost Pokemon coming out at night, so I'm going to see if I could find some."
"I'm just going to train my Pokemon some more." said Ronnie Anne. She and Lucy split up to do their things. Minutes later, Lucy was wandering around inside a cave, looking around. She felt her foot hit something. She looks down to see a black pokeball with green circles (Dusk Ball).
"Hm. What kind of pokeball is this?" asked Lucy. She picks it up and holds onto it. After looking around the cave, she decides to head back to Zapapico.
When she leaves the cave, she sees a Pokemon that had a gray, clothlike body and a round head that had a horn on top of it. "I don't know what this Pokemon is, but it looks like it could be a ghost type Pokemon." She looks at the pokeball she found in the cave. "Perhaps I should capture this Pokemon." She pulls another pokeball out of her pocket. "Greavard, go." She throws Greavard's pokeball and releases him. The other Pokemon looks at them. Its shadow suddenly extends towards Greavard. The shadow rises up and strikes Greavard, dealing super effective damage, knocking him back. "It attacks with its shadow? Now I really desire this Pokemon. Greavard, Lick." Greavard runs at the Pokemon and licks it, dealing super effective damage. It shudders and becomes surrounded by electricity. "Greavard, Bite." Greavard jumps at the Pokemon and bites into it, dealing super effective damage. The Pokemon falls to the ground. Lucy throws the pokeball she found in the cave at the Pokemon, hitting it. It gets sucked into the pokeball and after it wiggled around a few times, it clicks, indicating a successful capture. "I caught a new Pokemon."
She looks at Greavard, who was holding a big ball of gold in his mouth. Lucy takes it out of Greavard's mouth. "What is this? Perhaps I could sell this for more money. I think I'm ready to return to the motel room to rest." She returns Greavard to his pokeball and walks back to Zapapico.
Ronnie Anne was in another part of East Province Area Three, training her Rockruff. She got stronger and unbeknownst to her, her Rockruff learned Rock Tomb. As she trained, a light blue, bipedal Pokemon with gray ridges on top of its head approached them.
"I don't know what this Pokemon is, but I could use another Pokemon for my team." said Ronnie Anne. She looks at Rockruff. "You up for a battle, girl?" Her Rockruff barks in response, then she looks at the other Pokemon and growl. "Oh yeah! Rockruff, use Leer!" Rockruff glares at the Pokemon and hers eye glowed blue, weakening the Pokemon's defense. The Pokemon charges at Rockruff and rams into it, but not dealing much damage to her. "Okay, Rockruff, use Rock Throw!" Rockruff releases small rocks from her tail and they hit the Pokemon, dealing a lot of damage due to its defense being weakened. The Pokemon leaps up and releases a stream of green fire from its mouth and it hits Rockruff, hurting her. "Use Bite!" Rockruff runs at the Pokemon and bites its abdomen, making the Pokemon flinch. "Tackle it!" Rockruff charges at the Pokemon and rams it, knocking it to the ground. As it struggles to get up, Ronnie Anne pulls the Timer Ball out of her pocket. "Good thing I found this." She throws the Timer Ball at the Pokemon, hitting it, and sucking it in. After it wiggled around a few times, it clicks, indicating a successful capture.
"Whoot, whoot! I caught a new Pokemon. Awesome job, Rockruff." She sees Rockruff looking at the full moon that was out. "Rockruff?" Rockruff lets out a howl and she begins to glow. "Whoa, you're evolving!" She watches Rockruff as she begins to change. She stops glowing, revealing Rockruff to be standing on two feet, she had red fur, with white fur on her face, a white underbelly and short tail, and he had two short rocks sticking out of both sides of her mane. "That's weird. My Lycanroc looks different from Lincoln's." She shrugs and returns her Lycanroc to her pokeball.
She then begins walking back to Zapapico. She and Lucy meet up with each other and they return to their motel room and climbed into bed where they fell asleep minutes later. The next morning, the rest of the group, except Lincoln and Lynn were in a restaurant in the motel, having breakfast. As they exit the motel, they see Lincoln and Lynn, with Lincoln drinking from a water bottle.
"Morning, Lincoln." said Ronnie Anne.
"Morning, everyone." replied Lincoln. Ronnie Anne walks to Lincoln.
"Hey, Linc, I caught a new Pokemon." said Ronnie Anne. She tosses her Timer Ball and releases the Pokemon. Lincoln takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at the Pokemon.
"Bagon, the Rock Head Pokemon. Its steel-hard head can shatter boulders. It longingly hopes for wings to grow so it can fly." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Edd takes out his Rotom Phone and points it at Bagon.
"Bagon, the Rock Head Pokemon. Its belief that it will be able to fly one day is apparently the influence of information carried in its genes." said Edd's Rotom Phone.
"Hey, Linc. My Rockruff evolved last night, but it looks different from yours." said Ronnie Anne. She tosses her Lycanroc's pokeball and releases her. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at Lycanroc.
"Lycanroc Midnight Form, the Wolf Pokemon and the evolved form of Rockruff. This Pokémon uses its rocky mane to slash any who approach. It will even disobey its Trainer if it dislikes the orders it was given." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Edd points his Rotom Phone at Lycanroc.
"Lycanroc Midnight Form, the Wolf Pokemon and the evolved form of Rockruff. This Lycanroc has an extremely vicious temperament. It will happily sustain injuries for the sake of taking down its opponent." said Edd's Rotom Phone.
"You see, Ronnie Anne. When Rockruff evolves during the night, it will evolve into Lycanroc Midnight Form." said Lincoln. "Mine evolved into Dusk Form because he had the Own Tempo ability and when it was almost nighttime." Lincoln looked at his Rotom Phone. "According to this, your Bagon's a dragon type, it's a girl, she knows Leer, Ember, Bite, Dragon Breath, and Headbutt. She also has the Rock Head ability, which prevents her from recieving recoil damage."
"Recoil damage?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"There are some moves that hurt the Pokemon that uses it." said Lincoln. He looks at his Rotom Phone. "And it appears your Lycanroc now knows Rock Tomb, and when she evolved, she learned Counter."
"I caught a new Pokemon too." said Lucy from behind Lincoln, scaring him. She pulls the Pokemon's pokeball out of her pocket.
"Where did you get a Dusk Ball?" asked Lincoln.
"Found it in a cave." replied Lucy.
"Those work better in dark places or at night." said Lincoln, making Lucy smile. She throws the Dusk Ball and releases her new Pokemon. Lincoln points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Shuppet, the Puppet Pokemon. It loves to feed on feelings like envy and malice. Its upright horn catches the emotions of people." said Lincoln's Rotom Phone. Edd points his Rotom Phone at the Pokemon.
"Shuppet, the Puppet Pokemon. It feeds on the dark emotions of sadness and hatred, which make it grow steadily stronger." said Edd's Rotom Phone. Lincoln then uses his Rotom Phone to look up Shuppet's information.
"Okay, your Shuppet's a ghost type, it's a boy, he knows Astonish, Screech, Night Shade, Spite, Will-O-Wisp, and Shadow Sneak." said Lincoln. "He has the Insomnia ability which prevents him from sleeping."
"My Greavard also found this." said Lucy, pulling out the big golden ball out of her backpack. Lola and Eddy's eyes lit up with dollar signs while Lincoln's eyes widen.
"That's a Big Nugget, Lucy." said Lincoln. "You can sell that for twenty thousand pokedollars."
"TWENTY THOUSAND POKEDOLLARS?!" exclaimed Eddy.
"I'll give you half of that money, Lincoln." said Lucy. "To pay you back for paying for the food I had here, as well as lodgings."
"Thanks, Lucy." said Lincoln. They all head to the Pokemon Center where Lucy sells her Big Nugget, gives Lincoln half the money she got for it like she promised, and uses some of the money she kept to buy a couple Dusk Balls for herself.
"So, what now?" asked Lori.
"We got a Team Star base to take on." said Kyle.
"To Tagtree Thicket, everyone!" said Stan.
"Yeah!" everyone else cheers out in response. Everyone but Lincoln, Ronnie Anne, and Lynn Jr enter the Starmobile and head towards their next location: The Tagtree Thicket.
