At the pokemon center, the three trainers, Pipi, Yang and Percy finished feeding their healed pokemon and overlooked a pizza box. Pipi opened it and showed Percy an image on her pokedex. "I think I know what you were talking about. While Exeggcute would evolve into an Exeggutor." She showed the image of a walking coconut tree, with three heads smiling in bliss. "This isn't exactly the pokemon you want, least of all why you captured that Exeggcute in the first place."

She pressed a button to show an Exeggutor with a long neck and a tail that had a head of its own. "You want this breed of Exeggutor. The ones found on Alola." Percy nodded and watched Pipi's pokemon eat their dessert of five rare candies each. "And they are pokemon native only to Alola. But... I want to see something before I waste anymore time. Hmm." Yang pointed to the video phone and had a recommendation. "We know the phone number of someone who might have the answer. After dinner we can ask."

Percy shrugged in agreement as Munci inhaled his five rare candies, wrappers in all. He shivered from a power boost and glowed, much to the teams shock. He grew bigger, his sludge like limbs grew pipes, his trash like body burst open to reveal all but the head as animated, clumps of trash. The head formed what looked like clumped up mouse ears that stuck out. PEW! "GARB?!" The glowing stopped and Pipi was in awe at the light blue remains of the trash bag, the grey body of accumulated trash and the bits of orange and green pieces sticking out. "Munci, you evolved!" She tried to jump at him in congratulations and Yang held her firm in a psychic hold. "NOT... before we eat. But... this is a feat."

Pipi struggled, saw the point, pouted and felt Yang released her. "MMM! Fine. Sorry Munci." The Garbodor moaned a grunt and backed away upon smelling himself, The Crobat and Nidoqueen pittied him the most as the Dustox whispered something that Pipi understood. "It's just evolution, we will get use to that. You can have the pizza box when we are done."

Percy didn't mind and watched the Poipole shiver nervous and the Mareanie crunching down on a post dessert snack of a Corsola branch. "So... this leaves just two more pokemon that need to evolve. It looks like your team is nearly complete, that Dustox holds his own as a niche?"

Pipi nodded as Yang understood what the boy meant, the ninja described her Dustox's moves. "Dasuti knows venoshock, string shot, electroweb and toxic. He is good at slowing opponents down and you know what toxic can do." Percy agreed to that and took his first slice. "That's a pretty good strategy for a pokemon most trainers catch and early in the journey. I heard Dustox is good at taking a few hits to where they can pull something like that off. This can hurt even the most sturdy of pokemon."

Pipi focused her gaze on her Garbodor and had her slice. "Munci knows toxic spikes as well... so this really helps if I ever have to battle a flying type or those with levitate." Percy took a bite and hummed. "*Gulp* That's even better, at the end of the day, the best trainers tend to win with the pokemon they bonded with the most." Yang had her slice and asked. "You heard that from before?" Percy nodded and watched the rest of Pipi's pokemon level up. "A while ago when I... lost, to a powerful trainer. Speaking of which." He took out a T.M labled sludge bomb. "You might need this for your Nidoqueen." Pipi took the T.M and placed it away, thankful that she was letting her pizza cool. "This she would need indeed." Percy agreed and asked with his mind wandering. "Pipi, where did you get your pokemon?"

On Alola at the lab at Melemele's shores.

Tammy was in a basement as she had a Blaziken with a particular stone perked up for something as a Porygon-Z flew all over. "O ke ahi, ready a high jump kick and focus your energy! Then strike at my order!"

The Blaziken's leaped high in the air, with the substitute doll bellow, her wrists blazed as her target, Tammy ordered swiftly a. "Now, blaze kick and when the dummy bounces, let it have it with thunder punch!" The Blaziken's foot ignited into an inferno and she crashed down, the dummy bounced and was exposed to a crackle of lightning. POW! The substitute dummy was slammed to a wall and bounced, Tammy felt herself pumped. "Good work, now to have Beta practice for that contest tomorrow and we will be good to go. I wonder what the coordinators of Alola are like..." She went to the stairs and promised. "I'll get us all something to eat. Be right back."

She walked up to find a tan man in an unbuttoned lab coat, looking tired out from a play session with an Eevee in tropical green Alolan clothes. "Phew, you been working up Neo!" The Eevee looked eager for more battle as Tammy asked. "Hey professor Kukui, do you mind if I check the fridge for something?"

Kukui turned towards Tammy and shook his head. "Nah, there is a reason I always stockpile. I'm surprised you didn't go with Lillie and Elio on that trip to the meadow." Tammy blushed and smiled. "Mom, Dad and the siblings have their own thing to do while I have mine. I'll make up for that tomorrow." Ring! Ring! Kukui went to get the video phone as Tammy went to the fridge for a pick, for what to feed six pokemon, a familiar girl was asking something. "A...Alola. We couldn't get Lillie's number... do you know where she is?"

Kukui tried to apologize. "I do, but she isn't going to be back anytime soon Pipi. What do you need to know?" Tammy felt the awkward call and went to pick it up. "Hey, I don't think they called particularly for moves. BUT I... could try to help. Do you mind if I take over?"

Kukui didn't and offered. "How about an ally swap. I'll get dinner for your pokemon while you talk," Tammy gave the Professor a thumbs up. "Okay Gra...Professor." Kukui was interested on what was nearly said and went to the kitchen, leaving Tammy to talk to Pipi. "Sup girl?"

The ninja signaled someone to come, a blue haired boy that immediately recognized Tammy. "Y...Y..." The coordinator fondled her hair charmed. "You heard of me?" The blue haired boy was dry in the mouth and asked. "A guy with red spikey hair did a contest as your opponent at the Sevii Islands. Do you remember... because he mentioned someone beating him."

Tammy's eyes sparked. "L...Lewis?! You know him?" The boy nodded and was given a pokedex. "I'm his second cousin once removed. Percy-" He coughed roughly and focused on what he wanted to ask, he showed Pipi the pokedex images of two kinds of Exeggutor. "I... heard that if an Exeggcute evolves on Alola... it becomes their Alolan counterpart instead of what is found here in Johto. But I'm not too sure if it is that simple, pokemon native to a region might make it a bit different if they just... evolve in another region."

Tammy considered it a good question and remembered something. "That might be an issue, but my Mom... or Professor Lillie, told me a story about a Pikachu she caught and took with her to the Orre region that evolved with a thunderstone. Shockums became the Raichu you're familiar with, rather than the ones we know of here that surf on their tails, develop psychic powers and eat pancakes."

Percy raised an eyebrow and looked interested. "Hmm... this could be something I should investigate when I can... I caught an Exeggcute mostly so I can have the Alolan one... part dragon." That Tammy understood. "And they battle like a slow dragon type pokemon. Do... you want to send him to us?" Percy shook his head. "No, I want to see this evolution for myself and if I'm NOT raising a pokemon into a dragon type, I would be a disgrace to all dragon trainers."

The prideful tone caught Tammy by surprise. "Wow this runs in the family. If you eventually decide to go to Alola, we would be waiting for you. Kay?" Percy understood as Pipi spoke of news of her own. "Munci finally evolve and I think Acanci is close." Tammy was amazed. "And that leaves two. Nice!" She saw a shiny Garbodor in the background, licking his lips from something. "They really are more colorful. So is there anything else you need from me? I'm all ears?" Pipi had none as Percy was tempted to say something and shook his head. "Not really. I'm taking Pipi and her friend somewhere once she finishes in Mahogany Town... something is coming up at the Dragon Den that should help her Poipole. Do... you know about how that pokemon is raised?"

Tammy shook her head and cringed. "I never raised one, Ultra Beasts are not a kind of pokemon you should be looking for unless you know what you are doing and Dad knows more about them. If you have trouble helping Sutikki make progress and if someone more of an expert ends up having trouble... call him."

Percy cringed back and was dreading something, he swallowed his pride and was looking at something as Tammy asked. "That other expert is someone you don't want taking the credit?" Percy shook his head. "If you haven't figured it out, my mom is a prideful person and would try to teach Sutikki because she feels like she can do it. Where someone learning, still needs a lot to learn before they can call themselves a dragon master. It's a long story." It was certainly a story Tammy understood. "You have a rivalry with even-" she gasped. "Oh, her! Yikes, just tell her if Sutikki becomes that much of a struggle... that she ought to suck it up and ask for help. In the mean time, Pipi should have in depth data on Alola Exeggutor if you want your Exeggute to be in with the idea that he isn't going to become what he expected."

Percy dreaded what he was going to say. "I'll try and thank you for the tip Tammy. Do... do you mind if I get your number for someone... you probably know who that someone is." Tammy does and took our her pokegear. "If it is Lewis, then sure. I haven't talked to him in a long time." She saw her number and showed it to him, the boy pressed buttons as the girl wished Pipi luck. "Give Pryce a good fight Pipi... and then be ready for Clair, I kind of heard from a lot of people that she is tough. You might need your Nidoqueen to learn something like ice beam." Percy heard the name of the move and tried not to laugh. "Kingdra."

Tammy gritted her teeth. "Or not." Percy let Tammy know that he had her phone number registered, he took a deep breath and thanked her. "She is beatable, but she isn't going down without a fight. Thank you for the help, I'll let Lewis know when he gets here... finally." Tammy winked and blushed. "You tell him that I'm open to chat at any time. Is this all?" The two shook their heads no and Pipi spoke. "Just about. Sorry for taking your time, take care." Tammy insisted it wasn't a worry and watched them hang up. Kukui had various types of food ready and the sound of something sizzling was heard. "Sounds like your friends adventures is going fast." Tammy agreed and took some of the bowls. "And I just gave a boy my number... who should give a particular boy my number. Mom is going to have a word with me." Kukui didn't mind. "She would be frustrated, but she'll calm down. How is Beta and O ke ahi doing down there?"

Tammy didn't wish to find out. "Beta can be trusted by himself as long as someone is keeping an eye on him, but he is a bit unpredictable."

The next morning in Mahogany Town.

Pipi decided on a team of five as Ethan looked at the balls that contained a Rotom, Venomoths and Natus, he folded his arms and answered a question. "I see what you are planing. I think I know how to talk that lady into helping out... but I'm going to need a ninja masters final word. You know where they are." A smile formed and Pipi had it as a priority. "I'll ask them once I get to Kanto. Take care of them for us."

Ethan vowed he would. "I just need to show them what is going on. Good luck beating Pryce, you're going to need it." Pipi knew she was and went south of the town to the Gym, where Yang and Percy was inside, ready to wait in the chilly rafters. The gym guide explained what was the match up of the gym, Pipi had to bring at maximum, five pokemon. Pipi registered a team of Garbodor, Mareanie, Poipole, Dustox and Nidoqueen. "Got it, this shall be done before long." Yang whistled to Pipi. "Good luck!" The ninja gave the two a thumbs up and slid on the icy floor, stopping at an ice block that slid and made contact with another, she pushed against an icy pillar to her right and reached the left wall. The ninja found herself under control and reached to a corner ahead of her. Kicked the left wall and reached the block to her right. She slide towards less slipper ground and reached for the door.

At the rafters.

Yang and Percy overlooked an arena that was covered in ice, facing towards an ice symbol was Pryce, who was awaiting his challenger. Yang sensed the anticipation and asked Percy. "You had quite the nerve to ask someone like that for a phone number... especially for reasons that .." The dragon specialist kept himself warm and laughed it off. "Once I figured it out, I had to. Lewis was so concerned about looking like a good loser that he completely forgot that little detail if he wants Tammy to like him back. He's lucky she didn't just forget about him after giving away those ribbons he won." Yang asked as she felt a grudge. "And he dismissed that at first? He really is use to being spoiled."

Percy agreed wholly. "When he is the son of Indigo's leader, yeah he expects Kanto and Johto to be like a playground. But he went to mom for that starter... so he has to have some realism in his head. At least I have an excuse to pull his head out of the clouds, Exeggcute... something he needs to settle with. Maybe look at this power I heard that is from Alola, I should knock it into him soon." Yang expected something coming and asked. "It sounds like he needs it. When he expected my MOTHER to give a ticket to him at a request... it should be a good clue."

Percy tensed up and saw similarities. "Wait, your mom is Sa-" He looked cold dead in fear and watched in silence, Yang blushed and saw the door open to let Pipi through, she looked half tired out and behind her was a Garbodor that was eating a hyper potion. The teenagers looked down at a battle to be had.

Pryce turned around to Pipi and placed his cane firm. "You and your pokemon looked to have had many experiences, even before you started as a trainer." Pipi agreed and gave a respectful bow to her elder. "We had a couple adventures that brought us all together. What happened, beginning with last week, is still pale compared to the veterans that came before us. As the eldest of Johto's gym leaders, you must have seen more than I." Pryce appreciated a respectful child and agreed with a faint smile. "I seen more and suffered as much as the pokemon with me. Those many years bind us together." His smile became a challengers scowl as he drew out a great ball. "I have been training pokemon long since before even your parents were born. I will not lose so easily!" He readied his throw. "I, Pryce, the Winter Trainer, will show you my power!"

He threw the ball and out came a Dewgong. Pipi pointed towards the Dewgong and the Garbodor stepped onto the icy floor. "Munci, lets make this arena ours! Toxic spikes!" The Garbodor grabbed pieces of glass and scattered them across the arena, amusing Pryce to where he ordered. "Dewgong, use perish song!"

The Dewgong grunted and sang a loud, dreadful song that made Munci quake. Pipi felt a chill and ordered. "...Munci, in case he tries any tricks, use seed bomb and gunk shot!" The Garbodor inhaled and spit out an avacado seed, pelting the Dewgong in the face and causing him to flip back, the sea lion flopped back to battle as Pryce watched the Garbodor ordered firm. "Use whirl pool and trap him. Then attempt to avoid his next attack!" The Dewgong jumped up and spun his tail, he formed water that took the shape of a twister and tossed it at the Garbodor that caught the seed in his mouth, immobilizing him on the spot. Pipi squeaked and watched the Dewgong land for a fast slide, Munci coughed a wad and focused on where the Dewgong was sliding to.

SPLAT!

He aimed the wad of gunk at the south eastern wall, where the Dewgong was heading. SPLUSH! The wad made impact and knocked the Dewgong out, the whirlpool cleared and Pryce called his partner back as Pipi quickly called Munci back and without thinking, sent out Acanci. The Mareanie plopped as Pryce tossed his next ball. "Cloyster, use shell smash and aimed icicle spears!"

Pop!

Out came a Cloyster that crashed his shell onto the ice and felt the toxic spikes, a light poison burned as he aimed sharpened spikes at the Mareanie and formed ice. He fired and struck the Mareanie back, Pipi ordered with a sweat. "Acanci, shot this Cloyster back with venoshock. He is trying to get us to slip up!"

The Mareanie agreed and shot vicious liquid at the Cloyster without mercy, causing the shellfish to fly back with a hiss from the venom. THUD! Pryce looked back, called his partner back and switched, Pipi called her tired Mareanie back with a plan and switched to her Nidoqueen as the gym leader sent out a Jynx. Thud!

The Jynx felt the poison and Pryce did not hesitate. "Now is our opportunity, Jynx, blizzard!" The Jynx inhaled as Pipi ordered. "Kuīnpin, dodge and fight back with flamethrower!" The Nidoqueen cringed and followed the order, sliding out of the way and inhaling on her own. She let loose a torrent of flame as the Jynx blew in a blizzard that quickly overwhelmed the fire and rushed at the queen.

WOOSH!

Kuīnpin was blown to a wall and was stuck in ice, she passed out. K.O! Pipi whimpered at a bad situation and called her ace in the whole back. She closed her eyes and switched to a great ball. "Dasuti! Let's give this all we got!" Pop! Out came a Dustox, Pryce saw but a moth and ordered. "Jynx, psyshock our opponent until they stop! If this is the best she can do-" The Jynx glowed and caused psychic rocks to form, pelting the Dustox as Pipi ordered. "Tie her down with string shot and follow with venoshock, we need to use everything we have at our disposal!"

The Dustox agreed and spit silk at the Jynx's dress like body, he spun around with a firm grip and shot a liquid that the humanshape pokemon felt, she caused another psyshock and knocked the Dustox out. Pipi took a deep breath at a good trade off and switched, she kissed the great ball and went for her beast ball. "Sutikki, finish her with your own venoshock!"

Pop! Out came a Poipole that saw an angry Jynx glowing, he shot liquid at the Jynx and caused her to fall over, it be from lingering poison of before. Sutikki glowed and back flipped in a childish excitement as Pryce called his Jynx back and took out a dusk ball half impressed. "So that is your trick! Sneasel, lets show these children the harsh, cold reality that they have not won!"

Pop!

Out of the ball came a sneaky Sneasel that felt the toxic spikes and readied himself, Pipi ordered. "Now signal beam! We got one more we been dreading!" The Poipole agreed and in enhanced speed, shot beams from his eyes at the Sneasel, shooting him back as Pryce ordered. "Icy wind and icicle crash!" The Sneasle inhaled and blew cold wind that caused the energetic ultra beast to shiver sluggish. The sharp claw jumped above him and formed icicles, like a platform, he punched it and sent the beast falling to the ground in a flinch. Pipi squeaked, called her Poipole back and knew she had to make due. "Munchi, lets keep going!" Pop!

Out came the Garbodor that roared, Pryce let his Sneasel use an icicle crash in hope of a strategy, a piece of the Garbodors bulk flew off like weak armor and Pipi snickered. "Respectful, yet you fallen for our trap! Munci, drain punch!" The Garbodor clenched his only fist and dashed in shocking speeds, he punched Sneasel for a swift,draining k.o. His wound reformed, all be softer looking. Pryce called his Sneasel back and readied a great ball. "Hmmph. You are quite the trainer."

Toss!

"Piloswine, we stand firm against the winter!"

Pop!

Landing was a big hairy Piloswine that gave a mighty grunt from a prick of poisonous pain, Pipi ordered with her plan made. "Munci, seed bomb! Then we have this match done!" The Garbodor shot his seed at the Piloswine and caught the seed, underestimating Pryce's order. "Bulldoze it all away! The earth will swallow them whole!" The Piloswine stomped the ground and let loose a shock wave that caused Munchi to fall on his back. K.O!

Pipi wasn't scared, she switched back to her Poipole. "Sutikki, venom drench! Acanci will take this thing down!"

The ultra beast looked calm at the mighty foe and shot sticky goop that reacted to the Piloswines infected system, he looked weakened. Pryce knew what was done. "If you believed that, Piloswine, again!" The Piloswine stomped and knocked the Poipole out, leaving the ninja to send out her Mareanie. "Acanci, scald!"

The Mareanie saw the poisoned foe and shot scalding hot water without mercy, causing the Piloswine to back away and yelled out from the water, he gasped and fell over. THUD! Pryce felt a heavy heart over a lost battle and called his partner back, vastly impressed. "You all have a strong will! With that, you would be able to overcome the obstacles ahead of your life."

He reached for something and saw the Mareanie laughing with a burst of energy, he glowed and grew bigger, his tentacles became stronger, larger and formed like a dome. PEW! The glowing stopped and a dome of tentacles took the Mareanies place. It waddled back to Pipi and the two front tentacles flipped over, to reveal a tiny body that had glowing orange eyes with blue iris, the body smiled with rows of sharp teeth and he hacked out. "TOXA!"

Pipi gasped and had no idea how to hold her partner. "A...Acanci, you evolved!" She looked confused as the Toxapex felt his tentacles would make an embrace awkward and dangerous, he extended his front right tentacle for a hand shake. Pipi settled for that and saw Pryce with a warmed heart. "...Yes, no matter the changes, this wouldn't change."

He approached Pipi with a hexagon badge that had a snowflakes design and a T.M labeled Icy Wind. "Take this Glacier Badge and T.M as a sign of your victory here. You earned it."

Pipi let go and took out her cases, proud of such and accomplishment. She placed the T.M away and back in her bag as she raised the Glacier badge high, she and her Toxapex smiled in sync. The ninja offered to the elder. "Do you mind if I walk you out of this gym, there is still much for us all to do." Pryce took the respectful youth's offer and let her hold his hand. The ninja called her Toxapex back and guided him back to the lobby, where Percy and Yang congratulated the girl.

The dragon expert told Pryce what was to happen, the elder nodded. "That could be arranged in due time. While I do that, where would you three go?"

Percy answered with a hint of smugness. "After I let Pipi do her business at a pokemon center, I'll guide her and Yang to Blackthorn City. Mom would be pleased at who I found if Pipi could pull that victory." Pryce understood and instructed the boy. "See that they make it to their destination. Have a safe journey."

The three minors waved the elder goodbye and parted ways, the ninja went into the pokemon center as Yang counted with Percy. "...With that, Sutikki really would be the last pokemon Pipi needs to evolve. Anything else that would await us?" The boy nodded. "It depends, Pipi and Mom might battle first before anything. We might be there a while regardless."

That Yang agreed with. "This should be fun, I expect the stay to be much longer than a couple days." Percy agreed and watched the center open, Pipi came running out with her Poipole in her arms and her Dustox perching on the back of her head. "Hee, hee! We are going to Blackthorn Sutikki, lets see if you can finally learn dragon pulse!" The Poipole clapped, focused, glowed a bit with draconic power and shot out adhesive goop to the ground, he pouted as Percy instructed. "Save that for when we get to the city. Come on, the icy path isn't going to get more annoying."
