Chapter 2
Peter finally woke up from his slumber, he found himself at an examination table and to what seemed to be a very advanced laboratory that clearly outclasses the likes of the laboratories of either Reed Richards or Tony Stark. The logo Capsule Corp was everywhere, he got up from the medical bed and that's when he realized that he's not wearing his mask and his suit apparently. He was in his civilian clothes he originally wore under his suit. He started to freak out, he nearly jumped up when he heard.
"Look who decided to finally wake up!" Peter turned behind him and saw an attractive woman with turquoise short hair who was wearing a lab coat over a white shirt, blue skirt, and red boots.
"Hi," Peter said lamely. The lady merely giggled and replied, "Hi, my name is Bulma Briefs and I am the owner of Capsule Corporation, my friend and my husband brought you to my place when they apparently found falling from the sky."
"I see… Could you tell me where my suit is?" Peter asked while looking somewhat tired. Bulma answered his question, "Yes It's right over there at my desk, I had to take it out, in order to check your condition, gotta say it's impressive, nanotech, zappers, explosive tracers, sonic disruptors, invisibility, and the variety of webbing inside the suit, not to mention the suit is very durable" Bulma took a minute to breathe after that exciting assessment of the suit and continued, "Anyway, I'm very impressed with how advanced it is, so who manufactured the suit?"
Peter looked a little embarrassed at the praise of his suit before replying, "I did, I made the suit in my lab" while rubbing the back of his head. Bulma once again impressed said, "What a brilliant young man! Not only are you handsome but a genius too? Damn, If I didn't meet my husband, I would've asked you out!" Bulma teasingly smiled at him, while Peter blushed at the flirting, Bulma continued, "I say you should work for me, trust me I'll give you a good salary!" Peter smiled politely and said, "I'm sorry but I have to respectfully decline the offer, I have other important commitments and besides I have my own company to take care of ma'am" "No need for ma'am I'm not that old, Just Bulma is fine!" Bulma said a little frustratingly as she was insecure already about her aging, unlike her husband who never seemed to age thanks to his glorious Saiyan physiology.
"I'm sorry ma'ermm I mean Bulma, didn't mean to offend you" Peter said apologetically, Bulma mentally chastised herself for that overreaction and replied, "No, It's my bad really, I've been stressed about stuff, any way you still haven't introduced yourself to me, am I not good enough for you?" Bulma teased once again. Peter flustered and hurriedly replied, "My name is Peter Parker and you may know me as the vigilante Spider-Man." Bulma asked confused, "Spider-Man? I have never heard of anyone called Spider-man." Peter exclaimed "What? Where am I exactly?" "I just told you you're in Capsule Corp. which is located in West City." "West City?" "Yes, it's under the Urban Area along with Satan City." "Satan City? That sounds so wrong, are there demons residing in the city?" Peter asked. "What? No, normal human citizens live there, the city itself is named after a 'martial artist'." Bulma said with some amusement in her tone. "I see… Wait you said that I fell from the sky right?" Peter asked, "Yes that is right, my husband and my friend told me that some sort of portal opened in the sky before they saw you falling down from it." "Oh no…" that's when Peter made 2+2 and realized "The Tablet!" Bulma silently looked at him confused once more. "That Tablet must've transported me to another universe, Oh man… Why me!?" Peter frustratingly said before looking at Bulma to further explain his current situation. "Soo.. Long story short, I accidentally came to this universe when I was crime-fighting a villain" Bulma looked at his eyes before saying "I see, that explains why you seemed confused about our world's geography and the fact that you're a superhero nobody heard of" Bulma said with her hand under her chin. Peter, surprised at her asked, "Wait? You believe me?" "Of course, I've recently traveled to an alternate timeline with my future son, my husband is an alien who fought for the fate of the universe in a fighter's tournament…" Bulma kept on listing off all the crazy adventures she went through, while Peter sweat dropped at the outrageous things the turquoise headed scientist was saying.
Finally, Peter ended up interrupting Bulma and said, "alright I guess you're used to these kinds of things, sadly this is not the first time I was thrown into a random universe, but I doubt it will be the last," Peter said in a defeated tone. Bulma sensed her friend's sad tone and said, "Hey, chin up handsome, we have the dragon balls to wish you back to your universe." Peter looked at her and was wondering, "Dragon Balls? What are those?" "Oh! Well, why don't you sit back down on your bed because this is going to be a long story" and that's Bulma told her story from meeting Son Goku in Mt. Paozu as a teenager to the Tournament of Power. Peter could only say, "wow".
That's when two individuals came inside the lab, a gruff voice broke their attention away from their conversation "I see you two are getting acquainted, insect" Vegeta said with a scowl. "Yes we were, what? Were you a little jealous that your wife was spending time with another man?" Bulma said with a teasing smile. "Hnn, I don't give a damn about that" Vegeta said, Bulma wide-eyed, clearly offended, glared and said "What? You can at least pretend to feel jealous!" Goku ignored their lover's quarrel "Hey, how are you feeling? When we were fighting we saw you fall out of the sky, it was a bit weird hahahah" Peter weakly smiled, "I'm feeling fine, just a bit stressed about finding myself here in another universe." Goku, confused, asked, "In another universe?"
That's when Bulma quickly forgot about her 365th shouting match with her husband and began to explain Peter's situation to both of the Saiyans.
"Ohh" Goku said, "that's why I told Peter we could use the Dragon Balls to send him back to, fortunately, we already have them gathered in here Capsule Corp." Bulma said with finality.
"That's a good idea Bulma!" Goku said with a thumbs-up sign. "Hey, I'm a genius, remember?" Bulma said, pointing to the side of her head while smiling. "Alright let's head outside then we'll summon Shenron and wish to send Peter home. Come on Peter! Your condition is fine, you have no injuries and your suit is ready for you to wear it. Follow me once you're ready." Bulma said, ready to help her friend out. Peter, hopeful at the prospect of going back, quickly got himself ready and followed behind Bulma, Vegeta and Goku. The four went outside the building and Bulma placed seven shiny orange orbs with red stars on each of them on the ground at a certain distance away from the group before shouting
"COME FORTH SHENRON AND GRANT OUR WISHES"
That's when the seven dragon balls gave out rays of light to the sky, Peter was awestruck as he saw a serpent-like Chinese green dragon with red eyes staring down at them emerging from the dragon balls.
You woke me from my slumber, now I shall grant your wishes within my power
Peter, still astonished and a little nervous, kept quiet and let Bulma deal with this. Bulma continued and shouted, "I want you to send Peter Parker back to his universe"
Shenron's eyes glow after Bulma's wish but then said,
Your wish cannot be granted, it is beyond my power
"WHAT" "WHY" Bulma and Peter were shocked. So was Goku and Vegeta, although the latter didn't show it.
The one called Peter Parker comes from a universe disconnected to this one, which is not under Zeno-sama's jurisdiction but the being called the One Above All
Dread. That's what Peter felt tenfold after hearing the dragon's words.
If you have no other wishes for me to grant, then I shall allow myself to leave this plane mortal realm
With that Shenron left with the dragon balls spread across the globe once again.
Suddenly, a light emerged near them, two figures came, it was the God of Destruction Beerus and his attendant angel Whis. Beerus broke the silence, "So, what's going on in here?"
Meanwhile in the Marvel 616 universe
All the spiders have gathered at Julia's House, in her living room.
"All of you have come, good, Spider-Man is missing and we have to make sure that he gets back and is safe. It is very important he is alive and well otherwise we're doomed"
Making some of the spiders confused by that.
"What do you mean?" asked Anya Corazón, the Spider-girl
Before Julia could answer her, Jessica interjected, "She means that if anything happens to Peter we all die"
The rest of the spider clan were shocked at the statement , Miles asked, "How?"
Julia explained, "Basically, Anansi, the Spider God chose Peter as his champion, he is connected to the Web of life and destiny which is an ancient thing that keeps the multiverse intact, making him the Center of Web, bringing stability across the universe. His death would cause an utter destruction of the universes. It's the reason why the inheritors consume spider beings because of the connection to the Web."
"All our powers derive from the Web of life, it's how it lets me show snippets of the future across, now I don't feel Peter's connection anymore, which is honestly stressing me out" Julia said, distraught by all of this.
"Don't worry Julia, me and the spiders will do everything you need us to do to find Spider-Man, we know he's fine, he's been through a lot of things that would destroy most people and came out on top. I mean, there's a reason why he's the best of all of us" Jessica said, smiling with a lot of admiration towards the wall-crawler.
The rest of the Spider clan agree with what Spider-Woman said. Cindy Moon, Silk, obviously sad about her ex's missing status agreed with her, but something about Jessica's tone while talking about Peter and that smile rubbed her the wrong way, she wasn't sure why. Though she would forget about it for now.
Julia started, "Alright gang, let's head off to the last place Spidey was seen, once or if we get some clues from there, we could ask help from Steven Strange or Reed Richards since they have a lot of experience on universal or dimension hopping" with that all the spiders headed off to the museum to find out any clues on our hero.
Meanwhile at Central Park, in Manhattan near the Museum where the arachnid hero disappeared, there was a being sitting on a park bench while looking at the sky, the individual looked like your standard New York homeless man, long hair with a cloak like attire. This individual was the One Above All.
'Forgive me my son, but sometimes in order to grow, you need to be away from home. All will make sense one day. I know you will do me proud, most importantly, I know you will make your Uncle Ben proud, well prouder than he already is'
The One Above All smiled fondly 'I cannot wait to see the man you will become" as he saw a vision of a statue of Spider-Man that said,
