SwiftAuditore: Hey swifters and welcome back to Arietta's Story. I don't have a beta reader and if anyone wants to let me know via PM. I'm stopping writing the journal entries as it is very difficult to write and I don't want it to be a major part of the story I'd rather the journaling not be too much so from this chapter onwards I'm not going to write down what she's writing in her journal. I appreciate constructive criticism, as it's a way for me to continue improving my writing so feel free to leave some.

Chapter 9 My Birthday
It has been a week now and it is currently the day before my birthday, Clint and Natasha are working on teaching encrypting and decrypting methods hopefully soon I will be able to tell them about my code but I'll still have to wait until the right moment to do so. Sam and I are working on our homework that is due the week that is about to start. It does not take me too long to complete my mundane homework; I am working on my magical homework right now.
I have nearly finished my magical homework and I am working on my homework for Clint and Natasha's class it is covering an encrypting and decrypting technique. I wonder how they will react when I do tell them I am reading the encrypting and decrypting book I have to do the homework with me and I am reading about one encrypting and decrypting method that is the focus of the homework.
"Hey, you done with your homework now?" Sam asked
"I am now, you came in at the right time," I answer
"Do you want to hang out?" Sam asked
"I do; what do you want to do" I reply
"How about we play catchy catch again? That was fun to play" Sam suggested
"Yes let's play that game" I spoke and with that, we play the game for a few hours before aunt Judy calls us down for lunch, which we enjoy.
Not long after lunch, Sam meets Miles and Tom arrives for our usual session on Occlumency. "Hey Tom, how are you?" I spoke
"I'm good, what about you?" Tom replied
"I'm good, shall we get started?" I acknowledged
"Yes, let's get started" Tom affirmed and with that, we started the Occlumency session, each session, I can keep Tom out of my head for longer and longer each time. The traps I laid out are getting stronger and stronger every day and I am strengthening the walls to make them stronger and more able to take more hits.
We worked on Legilimency as well just so I had some knowledge of the spell that comes with experience with the spell so I can continue to improve on my Occlumency, to make it as strong as I can make it. We paused for a break, which lasted for half an hour giving us time to finish eating the snacks Aunt Judy provided us with and then we went back to working on improving my Occlumency.
It's been a few hours since Tom left when we decided to end our session for today and meet up again next Saturday. I am in my room listening to my Queen record, writing in my journal about what my week has been like an overview of what happened, and my thoughts on my progress that I am happy with and what I think I can improve on.
I have put my journal away and I am currently drawing on paper while listening to music. I wonder how my life will go from here on out, how Hogwarts will go and how hard will it be to find all the evidence we need. Only time will tell I had finished drawing when I hear the call to come down for dinner so after I stop the music playing I go downstairs and I enjoy dinner and dessert when we finish dinner.
After dinner, I finish colouring my drawing, put the drawing pencils and the colouring pencils away, prepare for bed, and go to sleep.
Before I open my eyes I can feel someone shaking me and I hear "hey Arietta wake up" I open my eyes to see Sam shaking me
"Morning Sam, why exactly are you shaking me?" I ask
"Mum and dad asked me to wake you up now and happy birthday Arietta," Sam answers
"Thanks, Sam, I'll get dressed and then I will head down" I spoke and Sam leaves my room, I choose what I want to wear today and I get dressed and then I make my down when I am done.
"Surprise! Happy Birthday" Aunt Judy, Uncle Ron and Sam proclaimed there are loads of balloons, and there is a happy birthday sign up on the wall and some presents lined up on the table.
"Wow, what a surprise" I gaped
"Do you want breakfast first or presents?" Aunt Judy asked
"Breakfast first" I decide and with that Aunt Judy proceeds to get breakfast ready when it is ready we eat our breakfast and I have an omelette for breakfast. It was delicious and now it is time for me to open my presents as the plates have been washed and we are sitting in the living room.
"Which one do you want to open first?" Uncle Ron Asked
"I don't mind give me one at random" I decide and Sam hands me a present from the pile. I open the present and I see that it is a sketchbook and a pencil case, I unzip the pencil case to see sketching pencils and colouring pencils "thank you for this present I love it" I spoke
Aunt Judy hands me the next one and I look at the tag on it this time and I see that it is from Aunt Judy. I open it to reveal the first two seasons of animals of farthing wood on VHS "Thank you, Aunt Judy, I wanted this, can't wait to watch them" I sang and so I opened the rest of the presents and I like them all, some of the presents I received are music CDs and Vinyls by my favourite bands, some books, sweets and some board games.
We spend several hours playing the new board games, the first one we played was Monopoly and it was a close game any of us could have won it and it came down to just Aunt Judy and me and I won at the last second. Board games were paused for lunch and then we played Pictionary where we played multiple rounds and we all won a round. Birthday cake after dinner was the perfect way to end the perfect day.
