Since Jade wasn't coming to me at night, I started noticing how close She and Beck were. There were times when I knew that Beck was at the guest house when I knocked on Jade's door and she was not there. The next morning I would watch her sneak out of the guest house.

I suppose she's hurt, but I didn't want her to be in pain because of me. Then she was gone. For a month she was gone on location. All the while she kept her support of me. She would call every night, and text throughout the day. I could not have a better friend… but I missed her in my bed.

So I thought that when she came back after a month of being away, I could get her to stay with me. She came to my bed and she held me and we talked while she stroked my huge belly. She talked to me about her project, she told me she missed me, she squeezed me and she left me.

Later that night I went down to get a snack and I saw her with Beck. They were lost in each other in the living room. I was frozen in place, and I wasn't sure if I should continue into the kitchen, or if I should go back to my room.

Before I could decide, I heard a giggle and voices approaching me. So I kept going toward the kitchen and I jumped when I hear Beck say, "Tori!"

"Oh my god!" I said pretending I hadn't known they were snoodling in the living room.

"Careful now," Jade's warm caring tone. "Wouldn't want you to go into labor.":

I laughed. "Hey, I didn't think anyone would be up."

"Getting a midnight snack?" Beck said, wrapping his arms around his wife.

I nodded. "These twins are as voracious as their dad." I stated and looked at the fridge. I reached for some ice cream.

"Well, Have fun with that," Jade said. "Come on Beck, Let's keep talking."

I turned and watched her pull Beck toward the stairs. He wrapped his arms around her and lifted her, her legs wrapped around him as he carried her up the stairs. Jade threw her head back and laughed, and I knew I was jealous.

The next day, Jade was gone. She was at a studio downtown. I called her on Facetime and she answered from her Mac. She was wearing a mask around her neck and was enthralled with the editing software. "Hey," she said distractedly.

I thought about what I wanted to say and what I had felt. Then I asked what I needed to know. "Do you still love me?"

She stopped typing and looked toward the call. "Of course I love you."

"But are you still… you know." I asked, losing all of my nerve when I caught a glimpse of her pained blue eyes.

"In love with you?" Jade finished. She blinked and shook her head. "It's like you don't know me at all."

"It's just…"

"Tor, you told me that you had been selfish and that you needed me to stay away. So that I didn't get hurt. Even though I told you I needed you."

"But you and Beck… and Helena…"

"I draw comfort from my husband." She interrupted. "We still love each other." She looked around the room and pulled her mask up. someone had walked inside. "Hey, Just talking to Tori."

Then one of the crew from our old show came to the camera with a mask on. "Tori!" he said. I smiled and waved. "Hey listen I didn't get to talk to you the last day because I wasn't scheduled for work when you were. But I am so sorry about Andre, he was really a cool guy." I smiled a painful smile. Jade's eyes went a little misty in the background and I forgot Andre was her friend too.

"Thanks Pete." I said. "Jade, come see me tonight when you get home?"

She blinked and nodded. We needed to have this conversation. I hung up and I took myself back to my room. Carrying twins is so hard. It's May now and I'm seven months pregnant and I'm just tired.

I came home for dinner. I had dinner with the family minus Tori. Miri and Sirrah said that their mom was in pain and it took everything in me not to rush upstairs. I don't like to be told what to do. Not even by my heart.

I had spent the last month and a half fucking Beck and Hanna. When I was gone all I did was dream of the woman whose voice I listened to every night before I went to sleep and I missed my family.

When Pete gave Tori his condolences, I remembered that Tori's heart couldn't be mine because she belonged to my friend. I remember that My friend always wanted her to be happy, and I was not making her happy even if that was all I wanted for her as well.

After Dinner, I listened to the kids talk about Omar Arbury. And all the other young people that were killed by the police. I knew I had nothing to say this was their reality and I really wished Andre was here, which reminded me of the woman upstairs.

So finally I climbed the stairs, and headed toward her room. I walked in and Tori was facing away from me. She wasn't moving. My heart started beating fast. As I reached down and took off my shoes. Then I slid into bed with her. "Took you long enough," She mumbled.

"Don't tell me what to do."

She chuckled and turned to face me. I love you right?" She said "You're my best friend, but there is this thing that keeps nagging at me. Like, I have to know what it's like to be with you."

"What it's like?" I asked, was I an experiment?

"Wait… no… that came out wrong." She amended. I guess I had let my feelings show. Tori swallowed. "Helena makes me Jealous…. So does Beck but not like Helena."

"Oh…" I said in realization, she wanted me back… just then, I felt Tori's hand on my breast.

"I want to be happy, Jade… and right now you are the only one that does that," She said, moving her hand lower, making it go up my shirt. "So Maybe I love you differently than I thought, and I want to try."

My breaths become shallow as her hands hit their mark. She pulled my heavy right breast out of my bra and squeezed my nipple. I turned my head and captured her lips lost in the sensation. "You want to share me with Beck?" I said once I pulled away.

"Your marriage is open right?" She asked softly.

I nodded.

"So there is no issue. Just stay with me when he is with her."

"Mmmm…" I said and pulled her hand out of my shirt. "Date me."

"Okay, but just so you know I put out on the first date." she said with a smirk.

I laughed and kissed her, laying her on her back. "If you're horny Tori just say it."

"Jade I'm pregnant, of course I'm horny." She said.

"Well… I can help you, but to get me you have to woo me baby girl." I said then I began to kiss my way down her body. If she needed me, I was going to give her what she needed.
