A/N: I'm back! While I hope to keep up the momentum, life doesn't always a lot for that, sadly. But I promise I'm not bailing, just a little more slowed down.

Sending lots of Love to you guys! Thank you so much for all the support!

Cabin Part 9

The morning light filtered through the crack in the window as the last ember of the fire died. Drakken had been awake for a time but had made no efforts to leave the comforts of his bed. His arm long sense numb as it remained wrapped under Shego's frame. He'd been absentmindedly playing with the strands of her hair, fully aware that there was a possible way to free his arm but not doing so. The temptation to wake Shego up was strong, but he was not about to ruin a wonderful evening by in-sighting to side of her that did not like to be woken in the morning. The grin spread across his face as he played the evening in his head which did little to hinder his desire to wake Shego.

As if she finally sensed his eyes on her she moved slightly and her breathing had changed and he was aware she was finally waking up. He slid his arm from under her, its heavy numbness relived by its freedom, but he felt suddenly cold not as close to her. Drakken shook it off as he watched her hand reach behind her as if searching for him. His fingers laced with hers and he saw a soft smile on her lips.

"How long have you been awake?" asked Shego as he moved closer as she pulled him.

"Not long," lied Drakken, "Good morning."

"I'll agree to that," smirked Shego.

Drakken searched for an equally loaded statement, but found closing the distance between them in a kiss was a better reply. A small chuckle against his lips made him pull back from her lips to see an amused expression on her face.

"What?" he asked in slight concern.

"I was expecting an attempt at a witty retort?" said Shego, her hand brushing a piece of hair aside.

Drakken shrugged at her statement.

"I thought action was the better response," he answered truthfully. This earned him a small giggle.

"You're learning," she teased.

"Did... Did you just giggle?" asked Drakken.

Now is not the moment for teasing.

Before Shego could respond to his question he gave her another kiss before sitting up.

"How's pancakes sound?" he changed the topic.

"Sounds good," was the reply before she pulled him back into the kiss.

He couldn't fight the small chuckle that made its way through his lips.

"I take it you're not hungry?" he muttered in between their kisses.

"Starving," stated Shego.

Another kiss.

Drakken pushed his hunger for food aside as a different form of hunger was radiating through him. Ignoring the growling from what he assumed was his stomach. That was until Shego pulled away with an agitated groan.

"Why didn't we bring Davis," scoffed Shego.

Drakken's thoughts stopped as he processed her words.

"Excuse me?" asked Drakken after a long pause where his thoughts went no where.

"We could have just told him to make us food," huffed Shego as she sat up, "Wouldn't even have to leave bed."

Drakken felt a his confusion melt away at the clarification as he pulled away from Shego so she could finish sitting up all the way. His eyes lingered over her as his smirk returned.

"I don't think I'd be so willing to let him bring us food in here," said Drakken, "Especially if you're implying we not leave the bed."

Shego raised a brow at him before looking between the strewn blankets and their equal state of undress. With an scoff and an eyeroll she shoved his shoulder slightly.

"Just go make us breakfast," Shego slid from the bed and towards the bathroom, "Be out there soon."

The door almost closed and Drakken smirked.

"Shego," he said quickly. She walked back out of the bathroom.

"What?" she asked at his urgency.

His smirk faded into a devious grin.

"Nothing, just wanted to enjoy the view," he leaned on the palm of his hand as he looked at her.

"And there's that learning curve again," snorted Shego. With an eyeroll she returned to the bathroom, "Go make us food."

It took him a few moments to compose himself enough to pull on pants before heading to make breakfast. His mind still torn on the other hunger he would much rather attend too.

Brushing out the tangles in her hair, or at least attempting too was not as distracting as Shego originally hoped. A cynical part of her was waiting for her emotions to whirl out of her control or the familiar backpedaling she knew she did when it came to her feelings... but it wasn't coming. It wasn't shifting. And the attempt at distracting herself to fight the grin and whirl of euphoria still racing though her... failed. The grin across her lips was no longer contained as she placed her brush down. It was a strange image for her to process looking in the mirror... she looked off, unhinged...

Happy.

The scoff she would have normally given at her thoughts didn't have enough energy to happen. Instead she shook her head and left the bathroom... a little disappointed that Drakken had actually left to make breakfast... though her stomach gave a grateful swirl at the idea of food. Her eyes glanced over the disheveled bed and tossed garments from the night before. A few of her favorite images passed through her head before shaking it off to at least toss the mess in one corner.

Giving a slight kick to the mess to tuck it under a chair as she used Drakken's hair tie to pull back her hair... she momentarily debated getting dressed at all. The idea felt playfully devious at best but it was still tempting given his little flirtation at 'Enjoying the view.'

Dork.

She snorted as she grabbed one of his shirts and made her way to join him out of the bedroom.

What was I thinking telling him to leave the henchmen. Could have gotten that room done and food made.

She was lost in her own musings as she walked through the cabin and followed the smell of pancakes being made.

How long was I taking.

Pushing open the swinging door to the kitchen the smell was even stronger, but her attention fell to Drakken as she realized now only was he singing some song she had a vague recollection of... nor the fact he seemed to cheerfully sway as he poured batter in the hot pan... no what gained her attention was the ridiculously frilly apron he wore with only his pajama pants as he did so. She felt the teasing comment slip passed her lips almost on instinct.

"Trying a new look there?" asked Shego as she cleared the short distance and flicked the frill on the neck strap.

His cheerful expression didn't waver as he replied in a sing-song like tone.

"Maybe," said Drakken, "Like it?"

Shego rolled her eyes as she moved to sit on the counter next to him. His eyes following her as if waiting for a response.

"I'd like you better without it."

She gave her best flirty smile but this only earned a raised brow.

"Shego, I'm cooking with oil... that's a mean request," his smile finally faltered.

"I was flirting," she sighed.

"One shouldn't flirt with kitchen safety and oil-"

Idiot.

She cut him off with a quick movement and a not so innocent smile. Shego's hand reached out to grab the fabric strap of the apron and pull it towards her. Drakken's expression at being pulled away from his cooking was a horrible attempt at annoyance. The Smirk pulling at his lips was a clear sign of amusement, his eyes betraying his forced expression even more.

"Shego," he said in waver of annoyance.

His arms wrapped around her waist as she pulled him into a kiss.

He pulled away every so slightly.

"The pancakes are going to burn," he muttered against her lips.

"Let them," she hummed in reply.

His lips found her again as her legs wrapped around him to prevent him from pulling away again.

More than one pancake burned before the two managed to pull away from each other. It was almost unhinged sort of need that was coursing through her as she had resumed her previous position of wrapping her arms around him from behind. He was talking to her but it was a blue or vibrations and noise that made her want to return to their room. The twisting in her stomach from hunger, made a far more compelling argument to the newer needs she was feeling.

"Are they done, yet?" asked Shego into his back. She felt him shiver and couldn't help but smirk, "Hmm?"

"Almost," was a hummed response.

She sighed against him, and felt more amused at the slight tension it caused him.

"I vote after we eat... we should retire for the day to our room?" she smirked.

She heard the spatula fall with a clatter and Drakken's movements became more hasty.

"I think this is more than enough," he said quickly and she pulled away as he turned around.

There were only a few edible pancakes on the plate. Shego noted the still half full bowl of batter and snickered.

"In a hurry there?" she teased as he walked backwards through the kitchen door as she followed.

"Hurry?" he fanned a casual tone and then hummed, "No."

"Seems like it?" her hand pulled the front of the apron towards her, "I know I am."

The casual expression on his face switched to a pure devilish grin she was sure matched the smirk on her own face. He went to close the gap between them for a kiss, holding the plate of food out of the way as they did so. There lips seemed to barely touch when the sound of a chair scraping pulled her focus. Leaving Drakken still puckered for a kiss she looked towards the sound.

Her stomach switched from flutters of excitement to pure ice as she was forced to remember... they were not the only ones in the cabin. Something she was certain both she and Drakken had forgotten but could no longer ignore. Sitting casually at the table was Ed and Cleopatra. Both sharing a look of smug amusement.

"Are we not having kissy face?" muttered Drakken as he opened one eye.

Shego swatted him as she shot the other two a glare. Drakken followed her gaze, his wide eyes confirming he too had forgotten their company.

"Good Morning," smirked Cleopatra. Ed gave a snicker.

"I'm sure it is," Ed whispered.

It was on instinct, or Shego would claim, that she fired a blast in Ed's direction. A choice she immediately regretted as it ricocheted off something the motor head had held up. Dodging it with ease, Drakken had not been as aware and was sent a few feet to the ground. A clatter of the plate and a yelp came from his form. The same time Ed gave out a yelp of his own and dropped what Shego now saw was a metal serving tray.

"I told you to wear hot-pads," stated Cleopatra as Ed whined about the heat of his 'shield.'

"You okay?" asked Shego. Still glaring at Ed as she offered Drakken a hand.

"It's a little hot-" Ed began as he looked at his fingers.

"Not you!" snapped Shego, "I hope your fingers blister!"

She looked down at a sour faced Drakken who grumbled as he took her hand. One strap of the apron singed in two and a small purple tinted welt on his shoulder the remnant of the blast. Her glare faltered in concern before anger took over and she resumed her glare at Ed as Drakken dusted himself.

"I was better a few seconds ago," hissed Drakken. His sour look turned towards his cousin, "Why?"

"Seriously? Because Green has a a problem with anger-" Ed was cut off by Drakken.

"Not, why the shield... simply... why? Why do you exist in my life?" Drakken hissed as he grabbed the plate.

Ed looked amused as he rubbed his chin.

"They say you only get so much burden in life, Cuz. Guess you're mine," he snickered. A pancake flew at him, "Seriously, you two need to take some sort of aggression class."

"People who run over other's vehicles when inconvenienced, should not open their mouths," snapped Drakken.

"Wasn't your thing world take over and destruction at any minor inconvenience?" asked Cleopatra casually.

Shego wanted to smirk but focused on her anger at being surprised and interrupted. Even more so as Drakken's eye twitched as he attempted to come up with an equal comeback. It would be easy to turn the morning into an agitated war of the words, but the grumble in her stomach was winning over slowly. Shego let out a scoff and crossed her arms.

"It's too early for this banter," said Shego, "Or gain a creepy new hobby of lurking in shadows."

"We weren't lurking," said Cleopatra.

"Seriously, Green. We're in a fully lit area of the room, "Ed gestured to the light above them. Someone's seriously lacking in their so-called ninja skills."

Shego's hand ignited and Ed grabbed his tray again only to drop it with a hiss of pain. Letting her hand fall, she went to finish grabbing the fallen pancakes as Drakken attempted to tie the strap of his apron to the singed other half. The room was silent as Shego tossed the last pancake on the plate before it was finally interrupted.

"So... no breakfast then?" asked Ed.

Shego debated on yelling but the plate swiftly left her hand as a flowered vine tossed its contents towards Ed. It didn't gain an annoyed reaction from Ed but a snicker as Cleopatra tried frantically wipe a small piece that had hit her. It was a wordless decision as Drakken and Shego both headed back towards their room. Whatever Ed called after them was muffled by the anger and embarrassment that had started to rise in Shego as she cleared the hall and opened the door.

Unaware that Drakken had indeed followed her and not turned back to continue an argument with his cousin, she swung the door closed.

"Shego!" yelled Drakken from behind the door. A mixture of shock and irritation in his tone as he opened it, "

"Sorry, I assumed you'd turn away halfway to go argue with Motor Ed," stated Shego as she aggressively opened a drawer.

"To be fair I almost did," grumbled Drakken as he grabbed a shirt from the now open drawer.

Shego glanced at it before taking it swiftly from him for herself.

"Nghn," was a halfhearted grumble from Drakken as he grabbed another shirt.

If Drakken had started to say anything to her, Shego wasn't sure. Her own mind was racing and a swirl of feelings she was desperately trying to decipher. The playful and content mood she'd been in had been disturbed by the reminder of the other couple in the cabin. Wanting nothing more than to go back the way her morning had started, it was only making her angrier at not being able too. The urge to deflect the embarrassment at what might have been heard the prior night, by blame or outburst... was very strong. It was almost instinctual to shift blame on Drakken for forgetting what she herself had, but the bit her lip the moment she was about to speak.

Don't.

"Drakken-."

"I forgot they were even here," he hissed under his breath.

Shego looked up at him for the first time since they'd gotten in the room. His eyes were darting from her to where he had been fiddling with the shirt still in his hands.

She felt her anger begin to fade.

"That makes two of us," said Shego. Realizing Drakken was probably going through the exact same emotional mixer, "How's your shoulder."

"Either that tray magnifies your blasts or you weren't holding much back from that blast," responded Drakken as he pulled on his shirt with a small hiss of pain.

Shego raised her brow.

"It's Motor Ed, what do you think?" asked Shego.

Drakken's face scrunched in thought.

"So, it lessens the blast then," smirked Drakken.

Letting out a small snicker, Shego began to change out of Drakken's nightshirt to the shirt she'd stolen. While she wasn't completely over the morning ruining her mood, she was at least regaining some of the calm she'd felt. Before she could pull the new completely shirt down, Drakken's arms had slid around her waist.

"So... about that idea to stay in bed all day..." his chin rested on her shoulder.

As delighted she was about the continued forward nature, the mood had not shifted back that much. She patted his cheek before responding.

"Yeah, that's not happening," snorted Shego as she pulled away from him, "Let's just try and get through today with committing homicide."

She watched Drakken's expression shift to a pout and then to a thoughtful look at her words.

"Drakken."

"Weighing the odds it wouldn't end in our favor either way," sighed Drakken. His fingers finally falling away from her waist.

"Exactly... then you'd have more things to clean," smirked Shego.

She watched him roll his eyes and mumble under his breath.

"Alternatively we could be unbearable and challenge them to leave again," said Drakken.

Shego sighed and pulled open the curtain to show the layers of snow from the previous evening as she headed towards the door. She snorted at Drakken's aggravated expression.

"You know with all this chatter about global warming, how come it can't be in our favor," scoffed Drakken as he followed her.

"Penance for the weather machine diabolical, " shrugged Shego. Drakken frowned at her, "I warned you about the fish."

"I warned you about the fish," he mimicked her, "Next time we go to dinner... I'm ordering fish."

"No you wont," smirked Shego as they exited the bedroom.

"You just-" Drakken was cut off as Shego shoved him into the open storage room, "Shego what- Eddie what are you doing?"

Shego rolled her eyes as Drakken began to argue with his cousin, who'd clearly had made his way to the storage room. As she rounded the corner to the living room, any hope at possibly making something to eat in peace was interrupted by the sight of Cleopatra already in said location. Detouring instead to the front door, Shego decided that perhaps gathering some more firewood was a better option for now.

Yanking the door back to the blanket of white light as the sun had broken through the clouds, was only made a further annoyance as the wind blew snow right into her.

Maybe Drakken's heat ray design in his scrapped file, is a good idea.

ONWARDS!
