Part II: Our Dark Reflections

Back in Metropolis, Reign leaps into their air and tries to attack Hawkgirl only for the new Green Lantern, Hal Jordan to restrain her with his ring and throw her away from his ally. She is flung towards Valor who smashes her down towards the Earth.

Down below them, but still airborne, the second Supergirl (Lara Kent-Lane) and Earth's Mightiest Mortal known as Marvel (Alexander Luthor Jr.) are fighting Alex's own nemesis, Black Adam when he notices the falling World Killer. Marvel shouts the magic word "SHAZAM!" and quickly flies back, pulling his girlfriend with him. Confused, the King of Khandaq floats into their former position to continue the fight, just as a bolt of lightning strikes from the sky, hitting Adam and depowering him, just as the World Killer hit him.

Down on the ground, the young heroes known as Robin (Dick Grayson, Batman's Ward) and Mockingbird (Dinah Rebecca Merlyn) are fighting members of the Thanatos Guild who are working for Prometheus. Seeing the falling World Killer and powerless Adam, Mockingbird fires an Arrow from her quiver, which expands into a large purple cushion of sorts and catches Adam while Reign hits the ground.

As Marvel and Supergirl II landed behind them, Becca Merlyn asked her friends "What the hell was that?" She pointed up to the sky battle going on above them.

Alex shrugged innocently. "Thunder of the Gods?" he asked jokingly. Lara snorted at her boyfriend, "What does that make us?" she asked.

However, further conversation was halted as Reign got back to her feet. She glared at the young members of the Justice Guild with glowing red eyes. But before she could do anything, Superwoman flew into the World Killer at speed and carried her into the sky.

Robin took the chance to answer all of his friends with one answer. "The poor slobs who have to clean up the mess." he joked as they got back to work, fighting the non-super criminals who had also escaped the various prisons.

Becca snorted at her boyfriend. "Speak for yourself, Birdbrain."

Back at the Watchtower, the fighting was continuing. Atom and Constantine were working together to take down Grundy, Arsenal and Artemis were fighting King Shark. All the while Chase was watching with a smirk.

"Now, if there are no further interruptions..." he began to turn to do what he originally planned to do. He made his way towards the Watchtower's power core, which was powered by an amazing energy reactor designed by STAR Labs, the ASF (Artificial Speed Force) Reactor. Destroying it would make the devastation of the Particle Accelerator look like a Firecracker, which was exactly what Prometheus wanted...

... only for the Flash to appear before him, blocking his path to the reactor.

"Sorry, sir. This area is off-limits to tourists. Allow me to show you to the door." The Flash asked almost mockingly to the insane archer.

However before anymore could be said, Oliver Queen was suddenly thrown to the feet of his friend as a blur blur came to a stop beside Prometheus.

Helping his friend to his feet, glad that the Emerald Archer was not badly hurt, Barry glared at the figure. "Cobalt." he growled.

Dressed in a dark blue version of the Savitar suit that a version of Barry had during the Crisis, this new Speedster of the Negative Speed Force had shown up a couple of years after the Crisis and had become a persistent pain in the side of the Flash and his Team, all the while somehow avoiding capture or from having his identity revealed. The suit had blood red lightning accents, with a red ring on his chest and a lightning bolt, which looked like two (a pale-blue one and a red one) together, within it, and his body crackled with pale-blue and red lightning.

It had gotten to the point where Barry had had to ask the Speed Force if she knew him. However, she couldn't tell him his identity. Only that he was the Avatar of the Negative Speed Force, as Barry was for her.

"This has been a long-time coming, Flash." The Blue Blitz, as he was known as in the media, said in a distorted voice, his face hidden by his full mask and the red lenses of his glowing. "Today is the day you pay for your crimes against me."

Barry rolled his eyes. "I still don't know what you're talking about." he reminded the Second Reverse-Flash as he was also known as.

Cobalt growled. "You will."

Barry looked to his friend. "You okay, Arrow?" he asked as the man shook his head to clear it.

"You're late." he said in response.

"Oh, the gratitude!"

Notching an arrow, Oliver told his friend. "Handle Cobalt, I've got Chase."

With that, it was on. The Flash shot towards Cobalt and the two blurred around the room with trails of white-yellow and blue-red lightning following them.

"What are you up to, Adrian? Why go to all of this effort?" Oliver demanded of the man before him.

"Why else, Oliver?" Chase asked. "To take down this monument to you and the monsters you surround yourself with, and with it all of those who are beyond saving from your influence. And to show the world that they no longer need fear your murderous gospel."

Rolling his eyes at his enemies deluded ramblings, Oliver had heard enough. Pointing his bow and arrow at Chase, he said "You are testing my patience." he growled, and fired an arrow meant to disarm the man.

But Chase knocked it aside with his sword, before charging and swinging causing Oliver to meet his blow with his bow.

Racing throughout the Watchtower, the Flash and Cobalt - both Avatars of their respective Forces - were about equal in speed, despite Barry's experience. Eventually the two came to a stop in the main lobby area of the Tower, with the Flash throwing his newest enemy to the floor.

"Tell me now, Cobalt. Who are you, and why do you hate me so much?!" Barry demanded.

The Blue Blitz chuckled as he stood up. "Sorry, Flash but it is not yet time for you to know." he mocked. "All you need known is that I am who I am today because of you."

Barry narrowed his eyes at the man before. "I have no idea what you are talking about." he said.

Laughing again, you could hear his smirk as Cobalt spoke in a mocking tone "I know. But, like I said you will!" and with that the fight was back on.

But while their speed was about equal, Barry outmatched his enemy in terms of fighting skill, as Barry had been trained in numerous martial arts for close to a decade now by both his wife and his brother. As a result, the Flash is soon able to deliver some devastating blows to Cobalt, complete with speed-punches to his stomach - much like he once did to Eobard during one of their earliest fights.

Back with the two archers, the Green Arrow and Prometheus were also equal in their own fighting abilities. The protege of Malcolm Merlyn, however was visibly more erratic than his Emerald Enemy, his swings were wild as he became more angry, and any arrows he fired were far misses.

Sensing his enemy was vulnerable, Oliver waited for the right moment already thinking ahead in the fight. Eventually it came, when he fired an explosive arrow at Chases bow causing the man to throw it just as it blew.

"DAMN YOU!" he screamed, completely unhinged now in his fury. He then raised his sword and raced towards the Green Arrow, with every intention of taking the man's head in a single swing. Only for Oliver to fire another explosive arrow to the floor in front of the dark archer, sending him flying into the air. Taking the shot, Arrow then fired a bolo arrow to tie the man up, sending him crashing to hard to the ground.

"You lose Chase." The Emerald Archer said calmly, even as the defeated Prometheus was practically foaming at the mouth in his rage.

Stumbling from the Flash's assault, Cobalt growled becoming infuriated by how little exhaustion their fight had caused for his hated enemy. With one final effort, he put all of his power into one last blow to the face of the Scarlet Speedster.

Only for Barry to go into Flashtime and simply sidestep his blow. The Flash watched as his enemy seemingly moved at slow speed before grabbing his arm and spinning him around and flying into a nearby console, causing a shower of sparks.

As Cobalt fell to the floor unconscious, Barry walked over to unmask his enemy just as Oliver walked in, dragging Chase along with him.

The heroes gathered, the villains defeated. Oliver and Barry stood over Chase who glared at the two. Opening a portal courtesy of Constantine, as he and Thea escorted the now restrained Blackbird and Grundy to their imprisonment at ARGUS, with help of the Agency.

However, before they could interrogate Chase for his real reason for these actions, an alarm began to blare out loudly and red emergency lights began to flash. "What's that?" Boland asked in confusion.

Constantine was the one to answer her. "It's the 'None of your Bloody business, luv' alarm." he said as he shoved her through the portal and closed it.

Casting a look in that direction, Barry noticed that Cobalt had vanished, using the alarm as distraction. "Damn it." he growled, but ignored it for now as Ray brought up a holo-screen before the Flash and Green Arrow.

Looking at the screen, Barry looked at the readings. "Radiological. National City." he noted with worry. They brought up the CCTV footage of the area, and paled in horror at who was on the screen.

The Trickster and his son.

Chase began to laugh at their horror. "I can see the headlines: 'Justice League Fails. Madman kills Millions!'" he mocked them.

The Flash glared at the man, barely able to believe he would do something so insane. "You gave HIM a NUKE?!" he asked in horrified bewilderment.

Chase grinned madly. As mad as the man on the screen. "Off course I did. So that the whole world can see the destruction caused by you so-called heroes, when your alien whore's precious city is obliterated. Just like I told you, Oliver, EVERYTHING YOU TOUCH BUR-" His rant was interrupted by Arsenal hitting him on the head with his bow.

Roy shrugged as he glared at the man. "He was done." he said simply.

Barry put his finger to his comm. "This is Flash. Code Red! Everyone to this coordinates! NOW! The Trickster has a Nuke. I repeat, The Trickster has a NUKE!" he then turned to his AI. "Gideon, are the Towers Teleporters online yet?" he asked.

"I'm afraid not, Boss." Gideon said, apologetically. "Mr. Chase introduced a virus to my systems. Until it is fixed, the closest I can get you is just outside the city." she said.

"We'll take it." Oliver agreed hurriedly. He then turned to Barry. "Go! We'll catch up!"

The Flash nodded and ran for the teleporter, as the alarm continued to blare.

Another chapter done. It is surprisingly difficult to adapt a Video Game into a story.

Chapter Notes:

The Justice Guild: A team of young heroes formed of the children and proteges of the League. The Justice Guild featured in a Justice League cartoon episode as an alternate version of the League based on the JSA.

Lara Kent / Supergirl II: The daughter of Superman and Lois. She took on the name Supergirl two years before this. At the same time Kara became Superwoman. She is played by Sashe Calle who plays Supergirl in the Flash Movie. Her suit is the same.

Alex Luthor / Marvel: The Son of Lex Luthor and Lana. When he was 15, he was chosen by the Wizard Shazam to be his Champion. He eventually met his nemesis Black Adam (played by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson). He is played by Joshua Opin aka Superboy on Titans.

Dick Grayson / Robin: Bruce and Selina witnessed the deaths of the Flying Graysons while on a date in 2019. They took in the surviving son, Dick as Bruce saw himself in the boy who was only 12 at the time. He eventually snuck out to go after the man responsible for his parents deaths, only for Batman to save him. Over the course of him ranting at the Dark Knight only for him to reveal his identity as Bruce. Bruce eventually trained him and he became Robin at 15.
